Full textBased on the case of the Plain of the Ain, a rural industrialised area in neighborhood of the Lyon city, the report highlights in a contextualized approach two current main trends within far suburban areas: how industrial operation are moved to outskirts of large cities, and how popular classes remain in the foreground within residential spaces remote from downtowns. As a plot of recent industrial re-location (i. E. Nuclear plant and industrial enclosure), the Plain of the Ain is also since the 80's a favourite area where workers and employees become householders. While dominated by intermediate professions of the industry and blue collar workers, the population differs from precarious popular classes as well as from graduated middle-classes. Using statistics, town and county archives and materials from ethnographic research, the approach helps analyze the recomposition process which impacts the stable parts of popular classes, and political representation within suburban blue-collar towns, whereas this topic was rarely researched until now

Full textOur thesis is about the effect of the administrative border in an urban community and concerns particularly on the relations between Grand Lyon and its surrounding municipalities in the context of the territorial reform aiming at rationalizing and reinforcing the intermunicipal cooperation. What are the possibilities of the cooperation? How are the possibilities reconfigured? We reach the questions, in the first place, by the modification of the border of Grand Lyon, in one part following to new communes adhesion, in other part following to the creation of the Lyon metropolitan. In the second place, we study the impact of Grand Lyon border on the urban services, with study cases devoted to the recent territorial evolution of transport Lyonnais syndicate intervention (Nouveau Sytral). Our research was carried out by using various juridical documents, press reports, student works in which were analyzed in the point of view of urban planning leaning on geographical and political science methods. This study also focuses on interviews in the selected municipalities. The analysis reveals that the definition of intermunicipal Lyonnais grouping perimeter is completely a geopolitical issue, in the meaning that Phillipe Subra gives the notion. In terms of the situation, the local political context, the communal projects, the alliances between the territories are established or unraveled

Full textFor more than twenty years, France and Spain have undergone various processes of territorial reshaping, among which the creation of new intermediate authorities at the local scale (inter-city structures, Pays in France, comarcas in Spain). Halfway between commune/municipio and département/provincia, these government units are intended to favor the reform of the territorial organization as well as the design of better integrated and more horizontal territorial management policies. Based on the case studies of pioneer regions Rhône-Alpes and Catalunya, among the first to develop these new local spaces, this work questions the level of intermediateness that characterizes these local units under construction. It shows that the failure of their potential intermediate functions is due to their intermediate nature which itself makes them very fragile. They are subject to both internal and external neutralization and struggle to assert their legitimacy vis à vis existing government levels and other new local territories. The dramatic increase of the latter shows that it is the way the intermediate local units under study are built rather than their mere intermediate scale that explains their failure. Based on a large corpus of legislative material, on field studies (Pays Roannais, comarques of Bages and Osona) and on a multi-level cross-analysis in both space and time, this work aims to systematise the geographical approach of local government systems, a methodology particularly relevant in the perspective of converging local policies at the European level

Full textThis thesis aims from a sociological approach to assess qualitatively the overall cohesion of a team of amateur football taking into account the main actors are the players, the coach and the club president on the one hand and analyze the relationship between group cohesion and sports scores on the other. The question is to what extent the interactions between members of a team of amateur football as the playground and outside can they reflect the level of overall cohesion of the organization. This is explained from the strategic and systemic analysis of Crozier and Friedberg (1977), how these actors at different personal goals, even opposite successful are to cooperate to achieve the goal set by the sports group. It is in other words trying to understand how despite their resources, unequal stresses, and various stakeholder strategies, the team members come to work. Three senior teams clubs of Rhone were included in this study: it is Grigny Football Club, the Athletic Association of Greater Lyon Bron and Union Sportive of Millery Vourles. The main results of these investigations show that: the coach and especially the president can all influence teams cohesion as players; the sports results of a team of amateur football depends not only on the degree of overall cohesion of its members, but also taking into account the vagaries of sport; These studies conclude that the overall cohesion of the members of a team of amateur football can be evaluated qualitatively and effectively influences its sports results
