Abstract:
Cooperatives in Indonesia over the past four years have been very positive with an average of 2.5 percent of active cooperative growth. Based on government data up to July 5, 2017, cooperatives in Indonesia have 152,282 units of cooperatives and 26.8 million cooperative members. With the development of it, it is necessary also in the use of information systems in data processing. One type of cooperative is a savings and loan cooperative, and many cooperatives perform conventional data processing. It can cause problems like old search data, inaccurate borrowing and inaccurate reports. Therefore, the need for application programs that are applied, by creating a design program that is able to provide information in the process of storing information produced quickly, timely and accurate. Using the method of rapid application development (RAD), became one of the options to assist in the design program of saving and loan cooperatives. With the implementation of application programs on savings and loan cooperatives, it can be done existing solutions in data processing cooperative.

Abstract:
The authors hypothesize that union leaders who enter into union-management cooperative programs alternate between cooperative and adversarial behavior: they agree to cooperate in order to avert corporate ruin or obtain benefits, but revert to their adversarial view of labor-management relations when cooperation incurs costs to the union or threatens their control of union members. Analysis of union-management collaboration at the Rath Packing Company between 1978 and 1985 shows that during the life of that program, the union leaders withdrew from and returned to collaboration three times, in response to changes in the cost to the union of continued participation.

This paper aim is to define impact factor of cooperative sales income and recommend ways to increase cooperative income. The hypotheses were: the Government subsidy on raw material is key income factor of cooperative total income and cooperative characteristic influence to the their income. The economic survey conducted to 176 rural cooperatives and research methods are by inductive, deductive, comparative analysis and regression analysis. The 40% of Mongolian cooperatives are agricultural cooperatives and half of them cooperatives with members 201-300. The Government subsidy on raw material procurement is main advantage of agricultural cooperatives and lack of financial source and climate and nature condition are main disadvantage of cooperatives. In the research result, cooperative activities are unsustain, however Mongolian Government approved and implemented programs and projects for cooperative development. The sales income of cooperatives depends on income from animal raw materials, mainly Government subsidy on wool and cashmere procurement by econometric analyses of using Stata program. The cooperative working age (experience) significant to the sales income, also. With diversification cooperative activities in the future and Government support on multi-income generation for cooperatives for cooperative development.

Abstract:
The purpose of the present investigation was to examine the differential effects of a competitive and a cooperative fitness program for high school girls on physical fitness and on multidimensional self-concepts. Consistent with the content specificity of self-concept, physical fitness was significantly correlated with self-concept of physical ability (r=.45) but not with any of the other 10 self-concept scales (all r<.ll). Both the competitive and cooperative programs significantly enhanced physical fitness compared to a randomly assigned control group; but the cooperative program also enhanced physical ability self-concept and, to a lesser extent, physical appearance self-concept whereas the competitive program lowered them. The intervention had no significant effects on the other self-concept scales. The results of the study demonstrate the benefits of cooperatively oriented physical fitness programs for girls and the content specificity of multiple dimensions of self-concept.

Abstract:
Four-year cooperative engineering programs are becoming more common in the United States. Cooperative engineering programs typically involve a “parent” institution with an established engineering program and one or more “satellite” institutions which typically have few or no engineering programs and are located in an area where there are few, if any, other local opportunities for students to study engineering. In spite of an extensive literature search, the investigators were not able to find much information on these types of programs. Thus, in an effort to learn more about the characteristics of such cooperative programs, Program Directors from universities involved in four-year cooperative engineering programs were asked about the nature of their programs. The purpose of the research project was to learn about the different approaches used in developing and administering cooperative engineering programs, and to understand the strength and weaknesses of the different approaches. A web-based survey, consisting of 26 open-ended questions, was sent to Program Directors from eleven universities; seven responded to all or a portion the survey questions. The survey requested information on majors offered, enrollment, ABET accreditation, age and geographic distribution of students, administrative policies, tuition practices, and other such characteristics of each program. The findings show that most of these cooperative programs have been in existence less than ten years. All are ABET accredited or plan to seek ABET accreditation. Most of the programs offer majors only in Civil, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering. Administrative structures and procedures were similar among all the programs with only minor differences. Although four-year cooperative engineering programs are a relatively new phenomena in engineering education, the number of such programs appears to be increasing. The investigators expected to find that the majority of students in these programs were non-traditional, part-time students, who were geographically bound to the area served by the cooperative engineering program. However, the survey results revealed that the majority of students in these programs are full- time, traditional students, who live within 100 miles of the institution housing the program. The students apparently choose these programs to avoid the costs of room and board at the program’s parent campus. The findings of this survey are believed to be the first such survey done on four-year cooperative engineering programs in the U.S. The results of this research may be helpful to universities planning to start a cooperative engineering program.

Abstract:
Farmers experience a high risk of stress, depression, and suicide. Risk factors are well documented but protective factors are seldom examined. Social support has been reported to reduce psychological distress among the general population but its effect on farmers is inconclusive. Agricultural cooperatives are typically created and owned by farmers to secure markets, access supplies and services, and participate in decision-making. It is unknown whether having cooperative resources impacts symptoms of depression. A survey was used to examine whether having access to cooperative programs and social support impacted symptoms of depression among dairy farmers. Farm bankruptcies, stress, depression, and suicide were identified as ongoing concerns. Having social support and cooperative educational opportunities and mentorship programs were associated with decreased symptoms of depression. Conversely, having cooperative policy discussions was associated with increased symptoms of depression. Results suggest that social support can potentially reduce symptoms of depression among farmers and having access to cooperative resources can reduce or increase it, depending on the type of program. Our findings identified an opportunity to further examine how programs provided by farmer-led organizations such as cooperatives can impact stress, depression, and suicide among farmers.

64 Bahari Cooperative, located in Kedung Cowek Sub-District, Kenjeran District, has a growing cooperative asset but the management is still having difficulty in preparing financial reports manually. The main agenda in this service program is to procure online-based Sharia cooperative accounting software for fishermen cooperatives. This can be done because the cooperative already has a laptop, most members already have an android mobile phone, and internet access is quite adequate because it is located in the Surabaya City area. In addition, online systems are considered cheaper than offline software because cooperatives do not need to incur server procurement costs that require large costs. Another advantage is that it can be accessed by members wherever and whenever. The result of this program is an increase in the ability of 64 Bahari Cooperative managers to make financial reports independently.

Abstract:
Purpose of the study: The primary purpose of this empirical research is to investigate the impact of school cooperative involvement on entrepreneurial intention among Malaysian secondary school students. The school cooperative program was introduced in Malaysia in 1968, and presently, 2421 school cooperatives are operating nationwide. Despite so, the impact of school cooperative towards students’ entrepreneurial intention remains unclear. Methodology: This research employed the quantitative method, using a cross-sectional survey. The data collected from secondary school students in the East Coast Peninsular of Malaysia involve three states, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang. The study employed the Covariance Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB SEM) to analyze the data using the Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) graphic. Principal finding: The result shows that the students’ involvement in the school cooperative increases their entrepreneurial intention. Applications of this study: The Malaysian government should focus on nurturing entrepreneurship in schools. The Ministry of Education (MOE) and Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia (ANGKASA) need to enforce assessments on participating students to ensure the effectiveness of this entrepreneurship education program. Moreover, school administrators should support the school cooperative owing to its positive impact on students. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research delivers the best way to increase entrepreneurial intention by measuring the impact of students’ involvement in school cooperatives. Also, the paper proposes a framework for enhancing entrepreneurial intention by clarifying the Theory of Students’ Involvement. Consequently, this research fills the previous research gap on entrepreneurial intention and lack of information on Malaysian school cooperatives.

The latter illustrates a capacity for outperforming classical Nash equilibria and correlated equilibria, attaining mutually cooperative program equilibrium in the Prisoner’s Dilemma while remaining unexploitable, i.e., sometimes achieving the outcome (Cooperate, Cooperate), and never receiving the outcome (Cooperate, Defect) as player 1.

Abstract:
Abstract. Although there are different proposals in Spain to apply cooperative learning in physical education, they are focused on specific physical-sport activities or on very specific cooperative structures. In our country, there is a lack of comprehensive proposals aimed at facilitating the implementation of this pedagogical model in an extensive way, including all the motor action domains imposed by the education regulations. This article provides a model to apply cooperative learning in the area of physical education within the educational stages of primary and secondary school including all existing approaches up to now. The program is structured in four phases: 1) trust – group cohesion, 2) familiarization 3) consolidation and 4) performance, which embraces the five motor action domains that are established for the P.E. and the variables to take into account in the design of the activity: timing, number of lessons and activities, rules, group dynamics, roles, practice spaces, cooperative learning principles, teamwork skills, cooperative structures and techniques.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate an innovation concerning a short food supply chain (SFSC) created by a newly established producers’ cooperative in Greece that sells fresh milk to consumers via automatic vending machines; the consumers’ response toward this innovation; and the financial performance of the cooperative. Design/methodology/approach The case study focused on consumer’s attitudes toward the cooperative’s fresh milk sold by automatic vending machines and the cooperative’s financial performance. A structured questionnaire was answered by 912 consumers in Thessaloniki during 2015 and analyzed using the IBM SPSS STATISTICS program, version 22. Additionally, the cooperative’s financial data (2012–2015) were used in order to calculate its financial performance. Findings The authors identified five unique consumer categories according to consumer motive, of which social motives are considered in the sample as the most important. The cooperative’s financial indicators are satisfying, especially taking into consideration the severe economic crisis in Greece over the past years. Research limitations/implications It is difficult to evaluate Thesgala as there exists no similar producer cooperative in SFSCs in Greece. The cooperative is recently established and therefore financial indicators represent a short time period. Practical implications Producers, especially small ones in remote or peri-urban areas, can be involved in a SFCS and reach consumers via their cooperatives (or by founding a cooperative). Producer’s cooperatives can include SFSCs in their strategic planning in order to stimulate changes in the food system for the benefit of both producers and consumers. Social implications Policy makers should orient the appropriate policy measures to support SFSCs for the benefit of society as a whole. Originality/value The research investigates an SFSC that was created as a producer’s initiative (not a consumer’s) via their cooperative. It advances knowledge of how to initiate changes in the food system.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The objective of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) national sensitive environment mapping program is to publish a comprehensive series of standard maps and databases for coastal areas that provide the basis for sensitive environment plans. Sensitive environment maps have been an integral component of oil spill contingency planning and response since 1979, when the first maps were prepared in advance of oil arriving from the Ixtoc I well blowout. Since then, NOAA has undertaken a nationwide sensitive environment mapping effort that covers most U.S. coastlines, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Great Lakes. As part of cooperative efforts with federal agencies, states, and industry, NOAA is now undertaking a program to achieve three goals: map new areas and update existing maps, provide means for broadly distributing sensitive environment data in paper and electronic forms, and extend sensitivity mapping methods to new environments. In 1994, sensitive environment maps were jointly produced with the states of Texas, California, and Alaska. The Great Lakes materials were completed as part of a cooperative project between the U.S. Coast Guard and Environment Canada. With cooperation from the Marine Spill Response Corporation, NOAA is embarking on a program to format sensitive environment maps for computer-based information systems that help implement requirements of the 1990 Oil Pollution Act (OPA 90). NOAA, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Office of Pipeline Safety are cooperating to extend sensitive environment mapping approaches to inland waters and terrestrial habitats.

Abstract:
One of the efforts to optimize smallholder plantation development programs' achievement is through a synergistic pattern of plantation development between large companies and farmer communities. The plantation partnership program with the Primary Cooperative Credit for Members (KKPA) pattern is hoped that harmonious, mutually beneficial, and sustainable plantation development can be realized. This research was conducted to compare plantation partnership cooperatives' development and performance with the Primary Cooperative for Members (KKPA) scheme in Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach; the data used are primary and secondary. Data collection methods are documentation and questionnaires. The development of cooperatives is analyzed using growth indicators in members and participation of cooperative members, development of cooperative management, and growth in capital and business volume. Cooperative performance is analyzed using the Balanced Scorecard approach. With this approach, it is expected to provide a complete picture of the performance of the KKPA Cooperative from various aspects, namely; Financial aspects, customers, internal business processes, and organizational growth and learning aspects. The results showed, although the number of members did not experience a significant increase, the participation of members, cooperative management, and the growth of capital and business volume of the KKPA cooperative periodically showed the progress that was getting better. The performance of the Balanced Scorecard in the financial aspect can show a reasonably good performance. Performance on the customer aspect, internal business process, and growth and learning aspects of the KKPA Cooperative show adequate or moderate performance. These results also explain that in the financial and non-financial aspects, the KKPA Cooperative performance is still not optimal. The KKPA Cooperative still has to strive to improve its performance by planning. Furthermore, better financial governance, making business steps and strategies that are more value-added oriented and broadening the KKPA Cooperative vision that has far-reaching capabilities in the future.

Abstract:
The cooperation has long been a pillar of the national economy in Indonesia, especially in developing the economy in rural areas. The Village Unit Cooperation (KUD) was developed to accelerate agricultural development, aimed at improving the farmers 'and peasants' farming in rural areas. KUD has also assisted in the success of regional development programs based on the agricultural sector, one of the plantation sub-sector, which is a partner of the plasma of palm oil farmer group of People’s Core Plantation (PIR) program throughout Indonesia. In the province of West Sumatra, the PIR of palm oil plantations began in the 1980s as a base of regional development, and now the age of harvest has made the age of plants unproductive. Accordingly, KUD Bukit Jaya in Dharmasraya District, one of the KUDs who wishes to apply replanting to farmer groups whose members,t found some obstacles in the implementation. This activity aims to facilitate KUD Bukit Jaya in order to realize the replanting activities in its working area. This action research is conducted using four stages of approach, namely: [1] introduction of problems with dialogical approaches, using interview techniques and discussions with cooperative managers as well as farmers whose gardens have to implement replanting; [2] the team analyzes the problems found and contacts the parties related to issues conveyed by cooperatives and farmers; the parties are insurance companies, bappeda as coordinator of cooperative technical service; [3] holding discussions and discussions with the cooperation, farmer groups and involved parties (insurance companies, cooperative agencies, and district government); [4] agreed on assistance for the preparation of cooperative and peasant group work plans for the preparation and implementation of replanting

Abstract:
The introduced dynamic macrocomplexity (MC) is an indicator of the phenomena and parameters of the cooperative dynamic process in a complex system with the macrolevel's dynamics and random microlevel's stochastics. The MC, arising from the unification (or decomposition) of the system's elements, is defined by the information measure, allowing for both analytical formulation and computer evaluation. The MC cooperative mechanism is analyzed using the minimax variation principle of Information Macrodynamics (IMD). When applied, this principle creates a transition from a local, unstable process' movement to a local, stable process — the former associated with the current influx of information that precedes cooperation and the latter continuing after the cooperation with incoming information and its accumulation. This transition enables producing the cooperative phenomena, in particular, the contributions from different superimposing processes, measured by the MC. The IMD optimal consolidation process forms the information hierarchical network (IN) consisting of the model eigenvalues' sequential cooperation by three. The MC of such optimal cooperative triplets' structure is measured by the IN's triplet's code as an algorithm of the minimal program. The MC covers the Kolmogorov's complexity, which measures a deterministic order over a stochastic disorder by a minimal program, as well as the statistical complexity. The MC specific consists of providing a precise complexity measure of a dynamic irreversible process, which evaluates the aforementioned forms of complexities in bits of information. The geometrical space curvature conceals information of the cooperative structures in the cells' form, whose code, in particular, measures the cooperative complexity. The process' trajectory, located in this geometrical space, acquires a sequence of the code cells.

Abstract:
This study examined the effects of a game program of assertive behavior, helpful behavior, and self-concept in children aged 8 to 10. A pretest-intervention-posttest design was used with a sample of 126 experimental and 28 control subjects. Three instruments were administered before and after intervention: the Children's Assertive Behavior Scale, Sensitivity Scale, and the Adjective Check List. Assertive behavior, helpful behavior, and self-concept were the dependent variables. Intervention consisted of a group play-session carried out once a week during the whole academic year. The program's games encourage children to cooperate and share, as well as to develop creative play. The program included presentation, communication, help, cooperation, creativity, and emotional expression games. Results of multiple variance analyses suggest that the program caused significant improvement in assertive behavior (p < .001) and self-concept (p < .01). This paper reveals empirical evidence of the positive contribution of cooperative-creative play to child development.

Abstract The Cooperative Extension System's mission to “put scientific knowledge into practice” is a natural fit for practicing anthropologists. Two extension anthropologists present their work with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach programs, Iowa Learning Farms and Water Rocks!, as a case study for how anthropological practice can be used to develop and implement successful extension programs. Added to the conversation is the element of advocacy in anthropological practice, with an examination of how using anthropological research and evaluation methods to understand targeted program audience perspectives better enables practitioners to advocate for environmental improvements and better meet the primary extension program objective of bringing practical, science-based solutions to real world problems.

Abstract:
Cooperative learning is an instructional format in which students work together in small, structured, heterogeneous groups to master content. The purpose of this study was to describe and interpret a teacher’s and the students’ experiences of cooperative learning in an elementary physical education program. A multiple-method design included interviews of a physical education teacher and 5th and 6th grade students, nonparticipant observation, field notes, and document analysis. Inductive analysis and constant comparison were used to analyze and organize the data throughout the research process. The findings suggest that the teacher and students held similar perceptions of the cooperative learning program. Themes emerged under four main categories: goals of the lessons; cooperative learning roles; benefits of cooperative learning; and implementation of cooperative learning. The teacher believed that the cooperative learning program allowed students of all ability levels to improve motor skills, develop social skills, work together as a team, help others improve their skills, and take responsibility for their own learning.
