Abstract:
Abstract NA28 and UBS5 identify the source of Paul’s statement in 1 Cor 15:33 as Menander, Thais, although NA28 puts a question mark after “Thais.” One can, however, demonstrate that the proverb originally came from Euripides. Consequently, future critical editions of the New Testament should include Euripides in the margin along with Menander and should probably make reference also to the mass of proverbs that were shared orally or in writing in the culture of antiquity. One can read 1 Cor 15:33 as a text of Euripides, Menander, or as an expression of the common wisdom of antiquity.

Abstract:
The bulk of these chapters is invariably understood as a general, or as it were abstract, exposition of Christian virtues, without particular reference to a situation at Rome. We read in Luther, for example, that ‘the apostle is about to teach a Christian ethic’ when he begins chapter 12. Nygren states that none of Romans is aimed at circumstances peculiar to Rome, and that chapters 12–13 contain Paul's ‘central view of the ethical life of the Christian’. Käsemann regards 12–13 as general exhortation, only 14.1–15.3 being directed at problems in Rome. According to E. P. Sanders, nothing in Romans is called forth by the situation of the letter's recipients. ‘It seems best’, he writes, ‘to view Romans as being Paul's reflection on the problem of Jew and Gentile, in the light of the coming encounter in Jerusalem’. There are, however, several difficulties with this view. One is that the chapters do not include areas of Christian ethics with which we know Paul was concerned, such as marriage (1 Cor 7; Col 3.18 ff.), slavery (Col 3.22 ff.; Phlm), slander (1 Cor 6.10), suffering for Christ (2 Cor 1.7), generosity (2 Cor 8.6 ff.), avoiding witchcraft and gluttony (Gal 5.20; Phil 3.19), working hard (1 Thess 4.9–11). If Paul were writing a deliberatelygeneralethic, we should have expected perhaps more system and certainly a greater range of items.6More importantly, the view leads to fussy, artificial or disjointed divisions of the chapters into a multiplicity of exhortations which fail to grasp the broad sweep of Paul's thought. In particular the precise relevance of 13.1–7 is left obscure.

Abstract:
The paper contributes to the discussion regarding the Corinthian opponents of the resurrection of the dead (1 Cor 15:12). In particular, it attempts to re-examine the thesis of the Epicurean framework of this controversy. The first part focuses on the main lines of interpretation of 1 Cor 15:12 and the presentation of the Epicurean thesis. It is followed by an analysis of Paul’s polemical statements against the thesis of his Corinthian opponents, “there is no resurrection of the dead” (1 Cor 15:12; cf. vv. 19, 29-34, 35). It is assumed that Paul clearly says that his opponents deny a bodily resurrection and future life – there is nothing after death. The third part of the paper reconsiders some hermeneutic factors concerning the identity of the Corinthian opponents of the resurrection. 1 Cor 15 contains terminological and ideological parallels to Epicureanism, especially, by way of opposition. Yet, the valuation of these data remains an open question.

Abstract:
Background: In Uganda, 25 % of adolescents age 15-19 have already begun childbearing, 19 % have already given birth and another 5 % pregnant with their first child. Utilization of maternal health services is, therefore, an effective approach to reducing the risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. Low utilization of Maternal Health Services (MHS) has been registered in many parts of Uganda. Objective: To identify the key factors that influenced the utilization of MHS by adolescent young mothers aged 15-19years in Kiryandongo general HospitalMethods: A Cross Sectional analytical design, both quantitative and qualitative was used. A total of 98 adolescent young mothers were randomly selected. Data was collected using semi-structure questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 19.Results: Level of utilization of MHS was 44.9%. The socio-demographic (personal) factors that significantly influenced MHS utilization were; maternal age (COR= 0.29; 95% CI: 0.13-0.67, p = 0.003), husband’s education level (COR= 0.19; 95% CI: 0.08-0.47, p =0.000) and husband’s monthly income (COR= 0.35; 95% CI: 0.15-0.80, p = 0.012). Health System factors that influenced MHS utilization included; Time for travelling to reach health facility (COR=2.39; 95% CI: 1.03-5.52, p = 0.040) and Cost of the health services (COR= 2.68; 95% CI: 1.17-6.15, p =0.019).Conclusion: Strategies in addressing decision-making norms, engaging in massive community dialogue and designing appropriate communication strategies may help improve MHS utilization.

‘Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father, after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. “For God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “All things are put in subjection under him”, it is plain that he is excepted who put all things under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”

Abstract:
Processes as methane (CH4) purification from natural gas and gas hydrogenous (H2) production have stages involving CO2 separation. Nowadays, ethanolamine as monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) and triethanolamine (TEA) are the substances more used in industrial processes involving CO2 separation/purification. However, the use of these substances has some inconvenient due to high volatility of these species, the inconvenient working with liquid, the use of high energy during the regeneration processes and low chemical and thermal stability. The object of this work was the synthesis of mesoporous ordinated silica (SBA-15) and its use in the CO2 capture process. This work was divided in four experimental stages: SBA-15 synthesis, the study of ethanolamine thermal behavior, the synthesis and characterization of adsorbent materials prepared using SBA-15 and ethanolamine and the study about the efficiency of CO2 capture using these materials. New alternatives for SBA-15 synthesis were studied in this work, due to increase the material proprieties. This study had the objective removing part of the surfactant used as template in mesoporous materials synthesis, using Soxhlet extractor and different solvents. This work contributed to increase the silica proprieties, eviting the shrinkage of silica structure caused by calcination stage. By means of TG/DTG, DSC, FTIR and Elemental Analysis techniques was realized physical-chemical and thermal characterization of MEA, DEA, MDEA and TEA. Kinetics studies using thermalgravimetric isothermal and no isothermal (Ozawa Method) method were used. This study permitted the determination of kinetics parameters involved in the thermal decomposition of the ethanolamines. Additionally, techniques as SEM, TEM, SAXS and Isotherm Adsorption of N2 were used for the characterization of SBA-15 incorporated with ethanolamine.TEA was the ethanolamine the biggest thermal stability, however, the CO2 absorption is not favorable because the steric impediment. The thermal decomposition of DEA involves the intramolecular reaction, producing MEA and ethylene oxide. The ethanolamines incorporation in SBA-15 increased the thermal stability of the ethanolamines, because part of these substances was in the SBA-15 porous. The experiments of CO2 capture showed that the MEA incorporation in the SBA-15 catalyzed the MEA decomposition process. The MDEA was the ethanolamine that had the major efficiency in the CO2 capture and its thermal stability was considerably increased when this space was incorporated in SBA-15, increasing its CO2 capture potential.

Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine especially produced by monocytes and macrophages against infectious agents and that play a pivotal role in teh innatte and adaptive immune response. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of IL-15 on fungicidal activity, oxidative metabolism and cytokine production by human monocytes challenged in vitro with a virulente strain of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis (Pb18). Peripheral blood monocytes obtained from healthy individuals were pre-incubated for 24h with or without human recombinant IL-15 (12.5,25 and 50 ng/mL), and then challenged with Pb18 in a ratio of 50:1 monocytes:fungi. Fungicidal activity of monocytes against Pb18 was assessed by viable fungi recovery from 4 h co-cultures after plating in BHI-agar. Oxidative metabolism was evaluated by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and superoxide anion (O2 -) release in the monocyte cultures challenged by Pb18 and stimulated with phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) for 60 min. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a), IL-6, IL-10 and IL-15 production by monocytes were determined in culture supernatants by enzyme immunoassay (ELISA). The results showed that IL-15 ehanced fungicidal activity against Pb18 in a dose-dependent pattern. This effect was abrogated by additon of anti-IL-15 monoclonal antibody to the co-cultures. No significant effect of IL-15 on H2O2 and O2 - release by monocytes was observed suggesting that the fungicidal activity was independent of oxidative metabolism activation. Monocytes infected with P. brasiliensis in the absence of IL-15, produced significantly higher levels of TNF-a, IL-6 and IL-10 after 18 h of coculture in comparison to experiments of 4h-incubation with the fungus. The pretreatment of monocytes with IL-15 induced significant higher levels of TNF-a, IL-10 and IL-15 production by these cells challenged with the fungus... Abstract:
Among the actual commercialized herbicides, the glyphosate is one of the most used in Brazil. Its efficiency, as well as the others herbicides, on weeds control is attached to problems that this composts cause to the environment. Although studies about the herbicides behavior in the environment have been done, the complexity of this composts behavior leads to the accomplishment of an expressive number of research works. In these works, it?s common the use of radio labeled compounds (radioactive tracers) to evaluate its bio-availability in the soil. However, the use of this radio labeled composts, its manipulation and storage demands a careful handling in the chemical security point of views. This is the reason the use of non radiactive isotopes is an international tendency, especially for field researches. According to this context, the present work describes a method for the synthesis of enriched glyphosate for the nitrogen stable isotope (15N). The tests were undertaken in micro-scale and in equimolar quantities. Under these established conditions, the reaction reached the yield of approximately 25%. The optimization of the synthesis conditions with the use of isotopic techniques shall offter an important tool to be used in studies that are referred to glyphosate behavior in soil- plant system

Abstract:
Using a state of the art C02 parametrization scheme for the middle atmosphere with variable C02 concentration, a comprehensive model study on C02 increase ranging from 10% - 100% above the present concentration has been performed. Strong cooling is present throughout the middle atmosphere from 20 km up to the top of the model domain with maximum values of about 20 K in the stratopause and even higher values in the lower thermosphere for the double C02 case. Besides this, damping of the semidiurnal tide modifies the mean wind field in the mesosphere/lower thermosphere region by weaker deposition of momentum from tidal breakdown. Strongest damping appears in the low latitude region. Long term midlatitude wind measurements in the mesopause region confirm these model results. Therefore the decrease of the semidiurnal amplitude is probably due to anthropogenic C02 emission

Abstract:
Large amounts of tiny microparticles are ingested into gas turbines over their operating life, resulting in unexpected wear and tear. Knowledge of such microparticle behavior at gas turbine operating temperatures is limited in published literature. In this study, Arizona Road Dust (ARD) is injected into a hot flow field to measure the effects of high temperature and velocity on particle rebound from a polished 304 Stainless Steel (SS) coupon. The results are compared with baseline (27m/s) measurements at ambient (300°K) temperature made in the Virginia Tech Aerothermal Rig, as well as previously published literature. Mean Coefficient of Restitution (COR) was shown to decrease with the increased temperature/velocity conditions in the VT Aerothermal Rig. The effects of increasing temperature and velocity led to a 12% average reduction in COR at 533°K (47m/s), 15% average reduction in COR at 866°K (77m/s), and 16% average reduction in COR at 1073°K (102m/s) compared with ambient results. The decrease in COR appeared to be almost entirely a result of increased velocity that resulted from heating the flow. Trends show that temperature plays a minor role in energy transfer between particle and impact surface below a critical temperature.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the essential things in the early life of a baby. Historical, socio-economic, cultural, and individual factors influenced the decision of initiation and behavior of breastfeeding. This study aimed to examine the determinants of cessation of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted by using secondary data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2017. A total of 1,497 mothers aged 15-49 years old with infants aged 0-5 month was selected by total sampling. The dependent variable was the cessation of exclusive breastfeeding. The independent variables were maternal age, living place, level of maternal education, work status, wealth index, number of live births, and infant age. The data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Results: Maternal age (cOR= 1.27; 95% CI= 0.81 to 1.98; p= 0.293), residence (aOR= 1.98; 95% CI= 1.36 to 2.91; p= 0.008), number of live births (aOR= 1.82; 95% CI= 1.06 to 3.12; p= 0.036), and work status (cOR= 1.18; 95% CI= 0.80 to 1.74; p= 0.417) increased the cessation of exclusive breastfeeding, and it was statistically significant except for maternal age and work status. Maternal education (cOR= 0.76; 95% CI= 0.46 to 1.24; p= 0.266), wealth index (cOR= 0.92; 95% CI= 0.58 to 1.47; p= 0.728), and infant age (aOR= 0.88; 95% CI= 0.79 to 0.99; p= 0.033) decreased the cessation of exclusive breastfeeding, it was statistically insignificant except for infant age. Conclusion: Residence, number of live births increase the cessation of exclusive breastfeeding. Maternal education and wealth index decrease the cessation of exclusive breastfeeding. Abstract:
