SOMMAIRE Le rayonnement du Dioula et du français populaire en Côte d'Ivoire: Son rapport à la politique linguistique Cet article montre, à travers une présentation de la situation sociolinguistique de la Côte d'Ivoire, que: (1) le Français Standard, en dépit de son statut de langue nationale et officielle et de son prestige, n'a pu s'établir comme une langue de masse et est menacé dans son rôle de moyen de communication majeur par deux lingua francas: le Dioula et le Français Populaire; (2) l'intégration socioeconomique minimale, le taux élevé des renvois scolaires, l'importance de l'exode rural et l'immigration internationale ont considerablement renforcé cette tendance; (3) les lingua francas, et plus particulièrement le Dioula, peuvent devenir langues nationales malgré la résistance des populations à une nouvelle politique langagière. Cet article conclut que l'usage répandu d'une langue ne signifie pas toujours l'adoption de celle-ci comme langue nationale ou langue officielle. RESUMO La disvastiĝo de la djula lingvo kaj la popola franca en Ebura Bordo: Implicoj je la lingva politiko La aŭtoro montras, per priskribo de la socilingvistika situacio de Ebura Bordo, ke: (1) la norma franca lingvo, malgraŭ sia nacia kaj oficiala statuso kaj sia prestiĝo, ne estab-liĝis kiel la lingvo de la popolo kaj estas minacata en sia rolo de ĉefperilo de interetna komunikado de du interlingvoj, la djula kaj la popola franca; (2) la malforta sociekonomia integriĝo, la alta nombro de nefinantoj lernejaj kaj la graveco de interna kaj internacia migrado konsiderinde plifortigis tiun tendencon; (3) la interlingvoj, precipe la djula, havas perspektivon por fariĝi naciaj lingvoj malgraŭ tio, ke la homoj mem ne tre forte subtenas la ideon de nova lingva politiko. La aŭtoro konkludas, ke la ĝenerala utiligo de difinita lingvo ne nepre kondukas al ĝia akceptiĝo kiel nacia aŭ oficiala lingvo.

Abstract:
En Côte d'Ivoire, dans les villages de Grand-Bassam (1834), de Bingerville (1899) et d'Abidjan (1934), les autorités coloniales françaises ont imposé un modèle urbain basé sur la ségrégation des populations européennes et africaines. Dans ces territoires, des quartiers évoquent aujourd'hui des armoiries qu'il faut essayer de comprendre, en rapport avec leur antécédent de quartiers français au sein du plan d'urbanisme de type colonial, et dont il faut étudier les transformations dans un environnement de crise sociopolitique. Cette étude tente de saisir leurs sens et leurs portées territoriales dans la société ivoirienne. Elle s'est élaborée à partir d'un problème d'approche épistémologique que la géographie peut projeter sur ces espaces avec lesquels les Français expatriés en Côte d'Ivoire entretiennent des relations originales. Il s'avère que la commune de Marcory, notamment en ses quartiers (Marcory résidentiel, Biétri et Zone 4) est l'un des lieux de la territorialité française à Abidjan. Cette recherche propose donc une lecture synchronique des différentes formes de marquage de cet espace communal par les Français. Ce marquage se lit d'une part, par les Français qui s'approprient cet espace en mettant en place un système de sécurité spécifique et d'autre part avec la création d'espaces de loisirs et relations sociales. L'Etat français, notamment par la création d'un réseau scolaire français, d'un régime de protection sociale spécifique et par la mise à disposition d'un budget de fait sinon de droit apporte aussi sa marque dans ces zones où résident les Français au point de laisser l'empreinte d'une "collectivité territoriale française décentralisée outre frontière''<br>A city model based on the segregation between the European and the African populations was imposed by the French Colonial authorities to the villages of Grand-Bassam (1834), Bingerville (1899) and Abidjan (1934).Some areas of these three territories recall today some coat of arms which signification is necessary to be grasped in comparison with the previous French areas history within the colonial town planning scheme. The changes which have occurred since then should be studied in a sociopolitical crisis environment. Through this study, we intend to understand the meaning and the territorial scope of such changes in the Ivorian society. This study is developed on the basis of an epistemological approach to the problem which Geography could forecast in these spaces where the French Expatriates in Cote D'Ivoire have original relationships. It turns out that the Marcory commune chiefly in its areas (Marcory résidential, Biétri and Zone 4), is one of the places of the French territoriality in Abidjan. Through this research, we propose a synchronic reading of the various forms under which the space is marked by the French. The reading of this marking consist in how the French appropriate these spaces by implementing a specific security system in the one hand and by creating leisure spaces and social relationships in the other hand .The French Government, through the creation of a French School System, a Social Protection System and an actual budget if not a law one (programme151),also makes its marks in these spaces .In so doing the French community leaves the impression of an ‘‘Overseas French decentralized territorial collectivity''

D’une manière générale, les droits de l’Homme sont reconnus dans toutes les cultures au nom de la dignité que l’on attribue à l’être humain en tant que tel. L’Afrique reconnait des prérogatives à l’homme pour lui préserver sa fierté et un profond respect à la femme dans sa fonction domestique. Au-delà de cette sphère ménagère la femme a du mal à obtenir plus de droits. La prise de conscience des chefs d’États et de gouvernements en la matière a donné naissance à un instrument régional de garantie des droits aux femmes sur le continent. Notre étude a pour but le développement de la théorie et de la pratique des droits de la femme en Afrique de l’ouest afin que son affermissement progressif contribue à faire évoluer la garantie du droit international en Afrique, et que cette évolution se produise sur la base de l’objectif selon laquelle la femme devrait posséder des droits propres opposables à l’État. Notre but dans cette étude est de démontrer que les femmes africaines sont également sujettes à cette inégalité homme-femme mais que des progrès pour y remédier ont été amorcés. Nous mettons aussi en évidence les domaines où la femme et l’homme ne sont pas protégés de la même manière tant au niveau de la législation qu’au niveau de la pratique culturelle en Côte d’Ivoire et au Mali où les violations des droits de la femme sont principalement favorisées par le déficit législatif en matière de droits des femmes qui prévaut également dans de nombreux pays africains en demeurant particulièrement préjudiciable aux femmes<br>General speaking, humans rights are recognized in all cultures in the name of dignity that is attributed to humans. Africa recognize privileges to men to preserve their pride and respect women in their home work. Beyong the domestic sphere, woman have difficulty to get more rights and freedom. The awareness of head of state and governement of the situation, gave some regional rules to protect women rights in the african countries. Our assignment in this study is to devellope theories and practics witch are for or against women right évolution in west Africa, specialy in Ivory Cost and in Mali states where national laws are ambiguous as to women rights protection. We note that women rights changes according to religion convictions, culture, the traditional practice in each country. This situation is also favored by the legislative deficit that need to be repared. It is aloso apparent that women rights promotion and garanted in war situation that Africa states know continualy and in where women and children are the favorit targets. So lets try to find how to integrate women rights protection to african costums

La question fondamentale de recherche est : quels sont les facteurs institutionnels et culturels qui influencent le transfert de la pratique de formation et du développement des compétences des multinationales françaises et américaines vers leurs filiales en Côte d'Ivoire ? Afin de répondre à cette question, cette thèse est subdivisée en trois (03) articles. Le premier article met en évidence les initiatives visant à développer les compétences en Afrique subSaharienne, identifie les challenges qui leurs sont liées et propose des solutions idoines à leur amélioration. Le deuxième article examine les facteurs institutionnels du pays hôte qui influencent le transfert de la pratique de formation et de développement des compétences des multinationales françaises et américaines vers leurs filiales en Côte d'Ivoire. Le troisième article, quant à lui, examine l'influence de la distance culturelle entre les pays d'origine et hôte sur ce transfert.<br>This thesis examines institutional and cultural determinants of training and development practice transfer to French and US MNCs' subsidiaries in Ivory Coast, a developing country of Africa. Abstract:
Participer à la reconnaissance de la littérature orale est une des missions de la Maison Régionale des Conteurs d'Afrique, en cours de création à Yamoussoukro, capitale politique de la République de Côte d'Ivoire. Véritable porte voix, elle a pour vocation le recueil des contes, leur diffusion bilingue et, ce faisant, leur inscription dans la patrimoine culturel de la Nation ivoirienne. Recueillir oralement des histoires, comme autant d'humbles témoignages d'un temps qui "va et vient", que portent des voix à leur rythme pour mieux nous transporter! Diffuser cette "littérature" dans les langues natives nationales et en langue française! Ce sont deux des actions essentielles que ce travail se propose de décrire. Nous avons choisi la Côte d'Ivoire où six collectages ont été réalisés de 1999 à 2006 au cours desquels 132 contes ont été enregistrés. Les 27 premiers d'entre deux, recueillis en langue baoulé ont permis la réalisation, à titre expérimental, d'un classement adapté aux récits contés. Les 105 contes présentés ici constituent la base de données du corpus actuel dont 91 sont présentés, transcrits dans les 2 langues nationales de recueil que sont le baoulé et le sénoufo puis traduits en français littéral et 14, recueillis en langue nationale bété sont uniquement traduits en français littéraire. Le travail de transcription et de traduction terminé, une fiche signalétique créée pour chaque récitant de conte est complétée et les données enregistrées à des fins d'exploitation. Pour conclure, tout en situant les résultats du travail d'analyse à leur juste niveau compte tenu de la taille modeste de l'échantillon soumis à son traitement, nous disposons d'un outil susceptible d'assurer, à terme, l'exploitation de nouvelles données. Enfin, sachant que ce travail de recherche a pour ambition de participer à la sauvegarde et la reconnaissance de la littérature orale dans ce chaleureux pays, nous formons le voeu qu'il dépasse les frontières et inspire le monde francophone.

Paix et sécurité en Afrique conditionnent la durabilité de la coopération sino-africaine et préoccupent les pays membres de la Francophonie. La récurrence des conflits freinant le décollage des pays africains engage les acteurs internationaux de différentes natures, États-nations comme organisations internationales. Chine et Francophonie contribuent de manière différente au processus de paix en Afrique francophone. Malgré les écarts existant entre leurs visions et entre leurs approches, des complémentarités sont explorées dans la consolidation de la paix, dont la multi-dimensionnalité exige l’implication d’acteurs divers. La consolidation de la paix représente également un prisme pertinent pour observer l’évolution de la diplomatie chinoise et les particularités de la Francophonie comme organisation transnationale. Mettre l’une sous le regard de l’autre nous permet de mieux examiner les singularités et les similitudes de leurs perceptions et leurs mécanismes d’action. De quelles manières Chine et Francophonie s’impliquent-elles dans la consolidation de la paix ? Comment abordent-elles les notions de paix et de conflits dans leurs réflexions ? Comment les Africains perçoivent-ils leurs approches respectives ? Ces interrogations conduisent à exploiter les pensées chinoises et les courants théoriques occidentaux, sans oublier les réalités et les attentes africaines révélées par les entretiens de terrain<br>Peace and security in Africa both condition the durability of Sino-African cooperation, a reason for concern to the member-states of IOF. Recurring conflicts hinder the take-off of African countries, and demand the commitment of international actors of various kinds, nation states as well as IGOs. China and IOF both contribute to the peace process in French-speaking Africa in different ways. Beyond the gap in their respective visions as well as their approaches, thinking should be elaborated about complementarities in peace-building, the multi-dimensional characteristics of which require involvement by diverse actors.The peace-building process provides a relevant prism for studying changes in Chinese diplomacy, and the specific features of IOF as a transnational organization. Submitting them to mutual scrutiny gives us keener insights on the peculiarities and similarities in their perceptions and operative mechanisms.How China and IOF do they engage in the peace-building? How do they approach the notions of peace and conflicts in their own representations? How do the Africans perceive their respective approaches? This inquiry is correlated to the best of Chinese thinking and Western theoretical trends, without forgetting African realities and expectations as evidenced through our field interviews<br>非洲和平与安全问题是中非合作持久发展的前提条件，也是法语国家组织成员国的共同忧患。反复爆发的冲突成为非洲国家崛起的障碍。这使民族国家和国际组织积极介入其中。中国和法语国家组织以不同方式为非洲法语国家和平进程作出贡献。建设和平的多维性需要不同行为体的介入, 它们的视角和方案虽有所差别，但我们有必要对其政策的互补性进行研究。建设和平不仅为我们的研究提供了观察中国外交政策演变的独特视角，而且充分体现了法语国家组织作为跨国际组织的特殊性。通过中国与法语国家组织的换位分析，我们能更有效地审视它们认知层面和行动机制的特点，同时凸显出两者的共通之处。非洲国家冲突的根源有哪些？建设和平的关键是什么？中国和法语国家组织如何介入其中 ? 它们怎样解读和平与冲突的概念？如何看待民主与发展的关联性？如何定义在非洲法语国家建设和平政策的重点？非洲政府与民众对其政策有何看法？为了思考这些问题，我们以中国传统与现代思想和西方理论流派为分析工具，以非洲实地采访作为研究支撑，进行深入探讨。

This project should exhibit my skills as a writer in the nonfiction category. I describe personal experiences, portray characters, and attempt to show readers a world that they may not otherwise have been able to experience. I blend narrative essays with travel writing to show overall how these two components create an intercultural experience that work to inform and answer each other.

Abstract:
This chapter examines how chimpanzee ethnographer Christophe Boesch and his group studied the social transmission of cultural traits in the chimpanzee communities of Taï Forest, Côte d'Ivoire. This ethnographic account of primatological fieldwork in the mid-2010s measures the historical distance to the 1960s when Jane Goodall and others sought to take part in the social life of great apes. In contemporary Taï, by contrast, disengaged observations of habituated chimpanzees served to protect both Pan and Homo. Despite the researchers' efforts to keep human–animal relations as neutral as possible, different chimpanzee communities related to their observers differently. In the forest, chimpanzee ethnography could hardly be distinguished from other forms of fieldwork. Boesch's approach to writing wild cultures turned out to share an important feature with humanities scholarship: references to philosophical classics gave it an intensely polemic bent rarely found in the scientific literature.

This chapter explores the presence of the first Dutch West India Company (WIC) in 17th-century Senegambia, particularly in the Petite Côte region. The WIC's activity in this part of Upper Guinea is traditionally marginalised in the literature, but must be reconsidered in light of the compelling linguistic similarities between Papiamentu (the creole language of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) and Upper Guinea Portuguese Creole (a cover term for the sister creole varieties of the Cape Verde Islands, Guinea-Bissau and the Senegalese province of Casamance). The chapter illustrates how the conquest (in 1621) and possession (until 1677) of Gorée guaranteed Dutch commercial dominance in the Senegambia region, a period in which the language transfer from Upper Guinea to Curaçao must have occurred. It furthermore describes how the Dutch episode in Upper Guinea came to an abrupt end after the loss of Gorée and other Petite Côte factories to the French.
