Abstract:
The aim of this study was to verify the effect of different substrates, in the presence and absence of controlled-release fertiliser, on the growth and morphological quality of seedlings of Agonandra brasiliensis Miers ex Benth. & Hook.f., in the state of Roraima, Brazil. The experimental design was a 2 * 5 factorial scheme, with and without the addition of 1.0 g L-1 NPK 18-05-09 formulation controlled-release encapsulated fertiliser (Forth CoteR) and five substrates. The following were evaluated: shoot height (H), collar diameter (CD), increase in shoot length (IncH) and collar diameter (IncCD), shoot dry weight (SDW), root dry weight (RDW), total dry weight (TDW) and Dickson quality index (DQI). The use of NPK 18-05-09 formulation controlled-release fertiliser (Forth CoteR) in a medium-sand substrate is recommended for obtaining plants of Agonandra brasiliensis of greater robustness, balance of biomass distribution, and a high standard of quality. In the substrate composed of soil from the cerrado + carbonised rice husks - CRH + organic substrate (2:1:1), the addition of NPK 18-05-09 formulation Forth CoteR is not necessary to obtain Agonandra brasiliensis plants of good morphological quality. Substrate 3, composed of soil + CRH (3:1), with or without the addition of NPK 18-05-09 formulation Forth CoteR, is not recommended for producing plants of Agonandra brasiliensis, due to the slow development and reduced morphological quality of the plants.

Abstract:
Travel costs on road networks always change over time which implies road networks are time dependent. Most studies on time-dependent road networks simply find the shortest path with the least travel time without considering waiting at some nodes, or fuel consumption and toll fee. In real-world applications or computer games, waiting may be allowed at some nodes but disallowed at other nodes; a user can traverse an edge at different speeds; monetary travel cost contains fuel cost and toll fees; and users usually prefer the minimum-cost route under time and speed constraints. Therefore, we study Cost-Optimal Time-dEpendent Routing (COTER) problem with time and speed constraints. We utilize two fuel consumption models and compute the minimum fuel consumption with given travel time for highway edges via nonlinear optimization. We allow the toll fee function to be an arbitrary single-valued time-dependent function. We define an Optimal Cost (OC) function for each candidate node [Formula: see text], and derive the recurrence relation formula between [Formula: see text]’s incoming neighbors’ OC-functions and [Formula: see text]’s OC-functions. To solve COTER, we propose a five-step algorithm, namely, ALG-COTER, which uses Fibonacci-heap optimized Dijkstra, topological sorting, dynamic programming, binary min-heap optimization, nonlinear optimization, and backtracking algorithms. Experimental results on three real-world road networks of different sizes demonstrate that our algorithm finds the optimal route efficiently and is scalable to different parameters.

Abstract:
The small, unsigned panel The Lamentation of Christ in the Rijksmuseum’s collection is attributed to Colijn de Coter and dated around 1510-15. There is another, almost identical version in a private collection. Visual analysis and analytical techniques including UV fluorescence, infrared reflectography, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-radiography, dendrochronology and paint sample analysis, were used to examine and compare the materials and techniques in both paintings in order to investigate the relationship between the two. Because only a small oeuvre is attributed to De Coter and there has as yet been very little scientific analysis of his paintings, this comparative investigation provides more information about the artist’s workshop practices. This research has revealed that the materials and techniques used in the two versions differ hardly at all and, moreover, correspond to standard practice in early sixteenth-century painting in the Low Countries. The thicker outlines in the underdrawings in both cases indicate that the compositions were traced or copied from the same model. The underdrawings of the two Lamentations also correspond to those in other paintings attributed to the artist. This makes it likely that both versions came from De Coter’s workshop.

Abstract:
In image based rendering (IBR), a 3D scene is recorded through a set of photos which is then rendered to form novel views. Compression is essential to reduce the huge data amount of IBR. In this paper, we examine three categories of IBR compression algorithms: the block coder, the reference coder and the wavelet coder. We examine both the compression efficiency and the capability to render the compressed IBR bitstream in real-time. It is observed that the block coder consumes the least computation resource, however, its compression ratio is low. The reference coder achieves good compression ratio with reasonable computation complexity. The wavelet coder achieves the best compression ratio.

Abstract:
AbstractThis work deals with the design and application of a seafloor sediment corer with a novel hydrostatic motor. The motor uses seawater pressure energy as the power for the penetration by the sediment corer. It is automatically triggered by mechanical linkage when the corer lands on the seafloor, enabling the corer to accomplish an initial gravity penetration before the motor is activated. As a key feature of the motor, a hydraulically actuated valve is employed to control the transfer of ambient high-pressure seawater to a vacant chamber. Driven by the pressure transfer, the corer head continuously repeats movements of lifting and lowering, analogous to a pile driver. Since the motor directly uses the seawater as the energy transmission medium, the corer can be very compact in size. The prototype of the sediment corer with the motor was tested in the East China Sea at a depth of 90 m on September 25, 2011. The results of the experiment show that the corer is able to complete nearly 42 hammering action cycles. This demonstrates the feasibility of the seafloor sediment corer with the hydrostatic motor. By extrapolation, the application of the system to deep sea environs, such as at 1,000 m depths, is shown to be feasible as well.

Abstract:
Wavelets are the powerful tool for signal processing especially bio-signal processing. Wavelet transform is used to represent the signal to some other time frequency representation better suited for detecting and removing redundancies. In this paper, electrocardiogram (ECG) signal coding using biorthogonal wavelet-based Burrows–Wheeler Coder is discussed. Biorthogonal wavelet transform is used to decompose the ECG signal. Then the Burrows–Wheeler Coder is applied in order to compress the decomposed ECG signal. The Burrows–Wheeler Coder is the combination of Burrows–Wheeler Transformation (BWT), Move-to-Front (MTF) coder and Huffman coder. Compression Ratio (CR) and Percent Root mean square Difference (PRD) are used as performance measures. ECG signals/records from MIT-BIH arrhythmic database are used to evaluate the performance of this coder. This algorithm is tested with 25 different records from MIT-BIH arrhythmia database and obtained the average PRD as 0.0307% to 3.8706% for the average CR of 3.6362 : 1 to 280.48 : 1. For record 117, the CR of 8.1638 : 1 is achieved with PRD 0.1652%. This experimental results show that this coder outperforms other coders such as Djohn, EZW, SPIHT, Novel algorithm etc. that exist in the literature in terms of coding efficiency and computation.

In this paper we investigate the connection between closed Newton-Cotes formulae, trigonometrically-fitted differential methods, symplectic integrators and efficient solution of the Schr¨odinger equation. Several one step symplectic integrators have been produced based on symplectic geometry, as one can see from the literature. However, the study of multistep symplectic integrators is very poor. Zhu et. al. [1] has studied the symplectic integrators and the well known open Newton-Cotes differential methods and as a result has presented the open Newton-Cotes differential methods as multilayer symplectic integrators. The construction of multistep symplectic integrators based on the open Newton-Cotes integration methods was investigated by Chiou and Wu [2]. In this paper we investigate the closed Newton-Cotes formulae and we write them as symplectic multilayer structures. We also develop trigonometrically-fitted symplectic methods which are based on the closed Newton-Cotes formulae. We apply the symplectic schemes to the well known one-dimensional Schr¨odinger equation in order to investigate the efficiency of the proposed method to these type of problems.

Abstract:

Thirty soybean cultivars were grown in a hydroponic culture to observe differential tolerance to AC 263,222. Root length was reduced with 1.1 mM AC 263,222 in 18 of the 30 cultivars. ‘Bedford’, ‘Asgrow 5403’, and ‘Asgrow 6297’ were cultivars with a root length reduction of 30% or more, whereas roots of ‘DPL 506’, ‘RA 606’, and ‘Coker 6727’ were reduced less than 7%. Root weight was reduced in only 10 of the 30 cultivars. Asgrow 6297, ‘Bragg’, and ‘Narow’ root weights were reduced more than 20%. Shoot weight was reduced in 23 cultivars, and ‘Coker 6955’, ‘Braxton’, ‘Coker 485’, ‘Epps', and Coker 6727 shoots were reduced more than 25%. The most tolerant cultivars were ‘Centennial’, RA 606, ‘Tracy M’, ‘Johnston’, and ‘Hartz 7126’. The most sensitive cultivars to AC 263,222 with all response variables measured were Bedford, Asgrow 6297, Asgrow 5403, Coker 6955, Narow, Bragg, and Braxton. These cultivars all have ‘Jackson’ as a common parent. This suggests a genetic basis for AC 263,222 sensitivity in soybean.

In this paper, a design of high throughput VLSI architecture of MQ-Coder is proposed. Usually, because the regular operation of the MQ-Coder is sequential, the coding speed will be bottlenecked at the interface between the output of the Bit-Plane coding and the input of the MQ-Coder. Therefore, the proposed MQ-Coder architecture can process two symbols for each clock cycle. The main characteristics are the prediction of index, the simplified condition of renormalization, and the partly parallel architecture in renormalization. From synthesis results of the DC tools, using the TSMC 0.18 μm technology library, the frequency can reach 285.4MHz, which is comparable to that of other architectures and suitable for chip implementation.

A novel family of numerical integration of closed Newton-Cotes quadrature rules is presented which uses the derivative value at the midpoint. It is proved that these kinds of quadrature rules obtain an increase of two orders of precision over the classical closed Newton-Cotes formula, and the error terms are given. The computational cost for these methods is analyzed from the numerical point of view, and it has shown that the proposed formulas are superior computationally to the same order closed Newton-Cotes formula when they reduce the error below the same level. Finally, some numerical examples show the numerical superiority of the proposed approach with respect to closed Newton-Cotes formulas.

AbstractTo identify the single leg balance (SLB) test that discriminates among healthy, coper, and chronic ankle instability (CAI) groups and to determine effects of ankle muscles on the balance error scoring system (BESS) among the three populations. 60 subjects (20 per group) performed the SLB test with eyes open (EO) and eyes closed (EC). Normalized mean amplitude (NMA) of the tibia anterior (TA), fibularis longus (FL), and medial gastrocnemius (MG) muscles and BESS were measured while performing the SLB test. The coper group had a lower error score than the CAI group in the EC. NMA was greater in the CAI group compared to in the healthy and coper groups regardless of muscle type. NMA of the TA was less than the PL and MG regardless of the group in the EO. The CAI group demonstrated greater NMAs of the PL and MG than the healthy and coper groups in the EC. The CAI group demonstrated greater NMA of the PL and MG by compensating their ankle muscles in the EO and EC. BESS suggests that the coper group may have coping mechanisms to stabilize static postural control compared to the CAI group. The EC may be better to detect static postural instability in the CAI or coper group.

Abstract:
Binary MQ arithmetic coding is widely used as a basic entropy coder in multimedia coding system. MQ coder esteems high in compression efficiency to be used in JBIG2 and JPEG2000. The importance of arithmetic coding is increasing after it is adopted as a unique entropy coder in HEVC standard. In the binary MQ coder, arithmetic approximation without multiplication is used in the process of recursive subdivision of range interval. Because of the MPS/LPS exchange activity that happens in the MQ coder, the output byte tends to increase. This paper proposes an enhanced binary MQ arithmetic coder to make use of look-up table (LUT) for (A × Qe) using quantization skill to improve the coding efficiency. Multi-level quantization using 2-level, 4-level and 8-level look-up tables is proposed in this paper. Experimental results applying to binary documents show about 3% improvement for basic context-free binary arithmetic coding. In the case of JBIG2 bi-level image compression standard, compression efficiency improved about 0.9%. In addition, in the case of lossless JPEG2000 compression, compressed byte decreases 1.5% using 8-level LUT. For the lossy JPEG2000 coding, this figure is a little lower, about 0.3% improvement of PSNR at the same rate.

Securitization is a modality of structured finance which allows a company to raise funds based on its receivables through capital markets. In Brazil, securitization was developed mostly in the form of mutual funds -- the FIDC, which raise money by issuing senior cotes for qualified investors, and subordinated cotes, usually bought by the company that originated the receivables. This paper evaluates the risk and return for both kinds of investors through a stochastic model with two main variables: interest rates and default rates. The model is still sensible to the characteristics of the fund, like the amount of subordinated cotes, the type of asset being securitized; and the amount of receivables in relation to the assets. Regarding the case of senior cotes, the risk of returns under the basic level of interest rates is highly improbable; and in the case of subordinated cotes, the risk of returns under the basic interest rate may be considered still low, due to the high spreads observed in the Brazilian financial market. The simulations indicated that under historically mean interest rate volatility the default rates are the main component of the total risk. Accordingly to the developed analysis of international standards of regulation, the Brazilian Central Bank imposes very strong capital requirements to banks that securitize their assets and purchase the corresponding subordinated cotes.

Abstract:
The coach’s role is to enhance the performance of players through observing the performance, evaluating the performance, providing feedback on the performance and then implementing appropriate interventions to improve the performance. In coaching environments specifically, there can only be confidence in the data generated from computerised notational systems if the system provides reliable information and statistics. There are many systems on the market that are being utilised by amateur club rugby coaches and performance analysts; yet only a few have been tested for reliability. The aim of the study is to firstly, determine the inter- and intra-coder reliability of a South African developed computerised notational systems and secondly, to compare the coding proficiency of Western Province Rugby Union club coaches versus an experienced coder. Five club coaches with no prior experience of computerised notational systems or coding and one experienced coder participated in the study. The participants ( n = 6) each coded five international rugby matches and re-coded two of these matches to determine the intra-coder reliability. The reliability between the different coding agreements was measured using Cohen’s kappa statistic (К). The study revealed a good inter-coder agreement for all the performance indicators (К = 0.79) with the strongest agreement being for the set pieces (К = 0.93). Very good intra-coder reliability was also revealed for all the coders; there was a mean of К = 0.82. Comparing the club coach’s coding to the experienced coder showed a good mean agreement of К = 0.77. The study concluded that the EncodeProRX is a reliable computerised notational systems that can be accurately and consistently used in club rugby set-up.

Abstract:
Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) qMi-C11 and qMi-C14 impart a high level of resistance to Meloidogyne incognita in cotton. Breeders had previously backcrossed both QTLs into the susceptible Coker 201 to create the highly resistant M-120 RNR, and we crossed Coker 201 and M-120 RNR to create near-isogenic lines with either qMi-C11 or qMi-C14. Previous work suggests different modes of action for qMi-C11 and qMi-C14. To document individual and combined effects of the QTLs on nematode development and reproduction, Coker 201 (neither QTL), M-120 RNR (both QTLs), CH11 near isoline (qMi-C11), and CH14 near isoline (qMi-C14) were inoculated with M. incognita. At 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 25, and 30 days after inoculation (DAI), roots were stained to observe nematode developmental stages (second-stage juvenile [J2], swollen second-stage juvenile [SJ2], third-stage juvenile [J3], fourth-stage juvenile [J4], and female), and the number of galls was counted. At 20, 25, 30, and 40 DAI, M. incognita eggs were harvested and counted. At 30 DAI, 80% of the nematodes on Coker 201 were female compared with 50, 40, and 33% females on CH14, CH11, and M-120 RNR, respectively, and greater proportions of nematodes remained in J2 in M-120 RNR (41%), CH11 (58%), and CH14 (27%) than in Coker 201 (9%). More nematodes progressed to J3 or J4 on Coker 201 and CH14 than on CH11 or M-120 RNR. Coker 201 and CH14 had more galls than M-120 RNR. Coker 201 had more eggs than the other genotypes at 30 DAI. Nematode development beyond J2 or SJ2 was significantly reduced by qMi-C11, and development beyond J3 or J4 was significantly reduced by qMi-C14. This study confirms that qMi-C11 and qMi-C14 act at different times and have different effects on the development of M. incognita, and therefore, they have different modes of action.

Abstract:
Abstract In the Netherlands, and elsewhere, too, Laurens Janszoon Coster of Haarlem, and not Gutenberg, was long thought to have been the inventor of the art of printing. The myth—for that is what it was—was only definitively repudiated at the end of the nineteenth century, though some continued to believe in Coster until their dying breath. The Coster myth was deployed to give the history of the Netherlands status and international prestige. This article concerns the extent to which Coster’s supposed invention was known in the Dutch East Indies—today’s Indonesia, a Dutch colony at that time—and what its significance was there. After all, heroes, national symbols and traditions, whether invented or not, are the building blocks of cultural nationalism. Is this also true for Laurens Janszoon Coster in his colonial context?

Abstract:
Background: Some athletes demonstrate excellent dynamic stability after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture and return to sport without ACL reconstruction (ACLR) (copers). Others demonstrate persistent instability despite rehabilitation (noncopers) and require surgical stabilization. Testing to determine coper classification can identify potential copers early after rupture. It is unclear how coper classification changes after a brief intervention and how early classification relates to long-term outcomes. Purpose: (1) To evaluate the consistency of early coper classification (potential coper vs noncoper) before and after progressive neuromuscular and strength training (NMST) among athletes early after acute ACL rupture and (2) to evaluate the association of early coper classification with 2-year success after ACL rupture. Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 2. Methods: This was a prospective analysis from the Delaware-Oslo ACL Cohort Study, composed of athletes consecutively enrolled early after ACL rupture. Participants (n = 271) were tested and classified as potential copers or noncopers according to established criteria before and after a 10-session NMST program. Success 2 years after ACLR or nonoperative rehabilitation was defined as meeting or exceeding sex- and age-matched norms for knee function, no ACL graft rupture, and ≤1 episode of giving way within the previous year. The McNemar test evaluated changes in coper classification pre- to posttraining. Logistic regression adjusted for baseline characteristics was used to evaluate the association of early coper classification and surgical status with 2-year success. Results: Of 300 athletes enrolled, 271 (90%) completed the posttraining data collection, and 219 (73%) returned for the 2-year follow-up. The coper classifications were different between time points: nearly half of those classified initially as noncopers became potential copers ( P < .001). At the 2-year follow-up, 66% of the ACLR group and 74% of the nonoperative group were successful. Athletes who were potential copers posttraining and chose ACLR or nonoperative rehabilitation had 2.7 (95% CI, 1.3-5.6) and 2.9 (95% CI, 1.2-7.2) times the odds of success, respectively, as compared with noncopers who chose ACLR. Conclusion: Coper classification improved after NMST; more athletes became potential copers. Athletes who were potential copers after NMST were more likely to succeed 2 years later regardless of whether they had surgery, strongly supporting the addition of NMST before ACLR. Persistent noncopers fared poorly, indicating that more intensive rehabilitation may be needed.

Abstract:
Changes in coating color composition in a recirculation loop of a coater can cause runnability and paper quality variability. Besides an increase in the coating color solids content, the average size of the solid particles increases as a result of depletion of fine materials or shear-induced aggregation. The mechanisms for changes in solid particle fractions of coating colors and control parameters are not well understood or documented. Previous work has investigated the role of coating color solids content and cohesion energy in particle segregation tendencies by using a low-speed laboratory coater. The current work extends the study to high-speed pilot-scale coating and compares the results to the laboratory-scale coater. It is proposed that similar results in regard to particle size segregation can be observed with both a low-speed laboratory coater and a high-speed pilot coater. The same parameters, such as solids volume fraction, control the particle size segregation regardless of the speed and the applicator type. If the solids volume fraction and the packing volume are high, the coating color cohesion energy is not of importance for particle segregation.

Cross-national assessment of coding reliability and its methodological problems have largely been neglected. In an exploratory first study and a more elaborate second study, we investigated how coder characteristics such as language skills, political knowledge, coding experience, and coding certainty affected inter-coder and coder-trainer reliability. The second study showed that language skills influenced both reliability types, albeit mediated by coding certainty. Politically knowledgeable coders coded more reliably, while coding experience did not affect reliability. Overall, the results suggest that cross-national researchers pay more attention to cross-national assessment of reliability.

Abstract:
High frequencies of somaclonal phenotypic and cytogenetic variation have been observed previously among regenerants from cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L., 2n = 4x = 52). In this study we endeavored to determine if cytogenetic abnormalities would be detectable in cotton cell cultures and if so, whether or not the observed abnormalities would parallel those expected on the basis of previous cytogenetic analyses of cotton somaclones. Paired samples from suspension cultures established from 21-month-old 'Coker 312' and 8-month-old 'Coker 315' calli were pretreated or not pretreated with colchicine to detect cytogenetic abnormalities at metaphase or anaphase–telophase, respectively. Cell cultures established from both calli were found to vary in chromosome number. Hypoaneuploidy was common, but hyperaneuploidy and polyploidy were rare. Modal chromosome numbers for the 'Coker 312' and 'Coker 315' cultures were 46 and 50, respectively. Bridges at anaphase and telophase were frequent in the 'Coker 312' cultures but rare in the 'Coker 315'cultures. Cytogenetic differences between the cultures could be due to effects of culture age, genotype, their interaction, or other factors. Very small chromosomes, presumably centric fragments, as well as ring chromosomes and putative bridges between metaphase chromosomes occurred at low frequencies. The prevalence of hypoaneuploidy and rarity of hyperaneuploidy and polyploidy in cultures paralleled previous results on cotton somaclones, indicating that cytogenetic abnormalities arising in vitro probably contribute significantly to cotton somaclonal variation. The occurrence of hypoaneuploidy and bridges, including multiple bridges within single cells, is concordant with the hypothesis that breakage–fusion–bridge cycles may accumulate during in vitro culture of cotton.Key words: cotton, Gossypium, tissue culture, cytogenetics.

Abstract:
Controlling the non-linear dynamics of the quad-copter has stimulated many control engineers to investigate & design the variety of controllers in order to control and stabilize the various aspects of quad copter such as the attitude, altitude, heading, xy position and even in trajectory following in the presence of disturbance. This is because of the quad-copter’s application and importance in the variety of fields such as military, rescue, agriculture, surveillance, investigation, etc. Altitude control & stabilization problem of the quad-copter is the main focus of this research study. A dynamic and predictive controller is designed for the said problem based on Model predictive controller. In order to deal with the uncertainties & dynamics of the model during the flight operation and to ensure the robustness for the designed system, the sliding mode control technique is presented. Proportional-Integral-Derivative controller is also implemented for the system to make a comparative analysis with the rest of the designed controllers. Apart from controlling & stabilizing the altitude, these controllers are also capable for the trajectory tracking of the quad-copter. The six degree of freedom coupled model of quad-copter is taken into account and the same is then de-coupled for quad-copter hovering. In order to confirm the asymptotically stable state of the system, stability analysis of the proposed controller design is also done. The designed system is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK and also the comparison for robust and predictive controller is presented in order to depict the degree of potency of the proposed controller.

The objective of this research is to develop a dynamic model for hexa-rotor aerial robot. The dynamic model of the hexa-rotor aerial robot had been studied in this research. The PID control algorithm was used to control the hexa-copter. We used the Matlab software to help us to tune the PID control parameters for quick response and minimizing the fluctuation. From the simulation results, the hexa-copter could make a stable hovering on the target position and return to the stable hovering position and attitude after one motor or one propeller failure.

Abstract:
Abstract In the paper an effective entropy coder designed for coding of prediction errors of audio signals is presented. The coder is implemented inside a greater structure, which signal modeling part is a lossless coding backward adaptation algorithm consisting of cascaded Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), three Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS), and prediction error bias correction sections. The technique performance is compared to that of four other lossless codecs, including MPEG-4 Audio Lossless (ALS) one, and it is shown that indeed, on the average the new method is the best. The entropy coder is an advanced context adaptive Golomb one followed by two context adaptive arithmetic coders.

Abstract:
The article discusses the main results of research on the study of 28 cotton genotypes obtained from crossing ecological and geographical distant parental forms based on the principle, a set of economically useful traits. According to the obtained data, introgressive hybrids were characterized by more early ripening, yield and fiber yield in comparison with the zoned Khisor variety, which was used as a standard. It was established that the highest yielding genotypes differed: ALC-86/6 x Dusti-IZ, Cocer-4104 x Sorbon, Cocer-4104 x Ziroatkor-64, Cocer-4104 x Dekhkon, NAD-53 x Ziroatkor-64, NAD-53 x Dusti-IZ, NAD-53 x Dehkon, DP-4025 x Ziroatkor-64, DP-4025 x Dehkon, NAK-99/1 x Ziroatkor-64, which have a total yield of 90.0-100.0 g/plant, and prefrost 64.5-71.3 g/plant, which significantly exceeds the standard Khisor variety (by 45.8-55.8 g/plant and 31.3-38.1 g/plant). The same pattern also manifests itself in the yield of fiber combinations: Cocer-4104 x Sorbon (44.0%), Cocer-4104 x Dehkon (44.0%), NAD-53 x Dusty-IZ (44.0%), Nazilli-84-S x Dehkon (44.0%), AC-4 x Dusti-IZ (43.8%), Nazilli-84-S x Ziroatkor-64 (43.5%) and NAD-53 x Ziroatkor-64 (43.1%), outstand with more significant indicators (by 7.9-8.8%.), relatively to the zoned Khisor cultivar.

Abstract:
Abstract Coker kero stream is obtained from delayed coking which contains saturates with alpha olefins and PNA compounds which was physicochemical characterised. The fractions present in coker kero may be used further for value added products such as alkyl benzene and naphthalene etc. The study described potential of coker kero via aromatics and non-aromatics separation by using liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) with N-methyl pyrrolidone (NMP), acetonitrile and methanol as solvents of different polarity. Methanol imparts best colour improvement as per ASTM D-1500. Beside this, adsorption study on coker kero was performed using fuller’s earth, chalk powder, red ochre and wood-stick’s ash as adsorbents. The adsorption study suggested that fuller’s earth not only separate aromatics and non-aromatics form coker kero, but also acts as a better adsorbent than graphitic carbon (activated charcoal) and is found suitable for colour improvement comparatively. This study inferred the separation of polar components, improvement in the colour, odour and established the stable fuel. FT-IR study suggested that N-methyl Pyrrolidone gives better results comparatively other solvents. HC22 type analysis of coker kero raffinate and extract phase confirm the sharp extraction of coker kero feed using N-Methyl pyrrolidone as it is a good solvent for extraction of aromatics. GCMS and HRMS compositional analysis successfully performed for the coker kero and it is separated aromatic and non-aromatic fractions.

"Performance of Predictive Coders for Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Image Compression." International Journal of Recent Technology and Engineering 8, no. 5 (January 30, 2020): 3094–98. http://dx.doi.org/10.35940/ijrte.e6388.018520.

Abstract:
Wireless capsule endoscopy is a medical diagnostic technique developed for the endoscopic examination of the small bowel. The encoder module is the core of the wireless capsule endoscopic system impacting on power and area requirement for the hardware implementation of the capsule. One of the remarkable features of the endoscopic image is that the neighboring pixels are highly correlated. Two predictive coding techniques are considered in this work exploiting the above fact. The first predictive coder i.e., DPCM coder is based on previous horizontal neighboring pixel, whereas the second predictive coder is based on adjacent horizontal and diagonal neighbors. The performance of the predictive coders is tested with 41 small bowel type endoscopic images available in the Gastrolab dataset. The results show that the average compression rate and peak signal to noise ratio attained by DPCM coder and newly tested predictive coder are 66.37 % & 73.03 % and 32.17 dB & 35.55 dB, respectively
