Abstract The main indicator of the quality of the cotton harvesting machine is the completeness of collecting the grown crop into the bin, which is usually 3-4% lower than the completeness of collecting spindles. This is because the remover of vertical-spindle machines does not fully remove the cotton bobbins from the spindles. Part of the cotton wound on the spindle is carried away into the working zone without being removed. This phenomenon is called “cotton carry-over”. According to previous authors, “Carry-over” reaches 3-4% of the spindle collection completeness. This happens because the

The cotton fleahopper, Pseudatomoscelis seriatus Reuter, is a widespread and important insect pest of cotton in Texas and Oklahoma. This plant bug feeds on small floral buds, which results in bud abscission, delayed fruiting, and subsequent crop loss. In central and southeastern Texas, two to four insecticide applications are typically applied for cotton fleahopper management. Primitive race stocks of cotton have been identified as an important source of resistance to a wide range of insect pests, but they have not been evaluated for resistance to cotton fleahopper. Abstract:
The textile industry is one of the largest worldwide polluters of clean water due to the heavy use of synthetic dyes. Synthetic dyes are harmful to aquatic life and to human health. To overcome this, natural dyes are being explored as a healthier and more eco-friendly alternative. Several advantages such as ease of extraction, availability, high yields and no seasonal variation make microbial pigments the most ideal source of natural pigments. This study was done to isolate colour pigment producing bacteria and fungi from soil collected from organic farms from various locations in Sri Lanka. I

Abstract:
Verticillium dahliae is an economically important pathogen causing vascular wilt on over 160 plant species. In North America, potato early dying is a significant disease of potato, especially in the midwest and Pacific northwest states. This disease is caused by the fungus Verticillium dahliae and in some cases involves a synergistic interaction with root-lesion nematodes, primarily Pratylenchus penetrans. In Israel, Verticillium wilt occurs in many regions and inflicts serious losses in potato, cotton, and other crops. Objectives of this project were to establish a large collection of isolate
