Abstract:
Widows and four groups of professionals (clergy, physicians, counselors, and funeral directors) were compared in regards to their perceptions of conjugal bereavement. Results suggested consistent differences between widows' self-perceptions and professionals' views regarding the impact of bereavement and the necessity for adaptative coping mechanisms to deal with loss. Professionals saw bereavement as having a more negative impact and requiring the use of coping skills to a greater extent than did widows. Such differences remained when age at bereavement or length of widowhood were taken into account. Professionals' perceptions of conjugal bereavement were similar to one another. Help-seeking behaviors, age at bereavement, and length of bereavement differentiated widows, while experience in counseling widows failed to separate professionals. Both age-related experiential differences with loss and gender differences in coping with loss may explain these findings. These data underscore the importance of efforts to bring widows and professionals into direct contact with one another in order to lessen misperceptions of conjugal bereavement.

Abstract:
A reductive reading of Humanae vitae seeks to limit its appeal to a ban on contraception. In truth, however, it offers a vision of human sexuality and conjugal love with broad and enduring relevance. In setting forth the intrinsic complementarity and irreducibility of the unitive and procreative dimensions of the conjugal act, Paul VI has given us a hermeneutical key for assessing many contemporary ethical dilemmas in human reproductive medicine. From this perspective, this article seeks to apply the logic of Humanae vitae to several real-life scenarios confronted by medical practitioners, educators, and ethicists working in the field of fertility and reproductive health. These include a consideration of the ethics of prescribing hormonal contraceptives, the possibilities of investigating male infertility, issues of cooperation in counseling and assisting conception in same-sex relationships, the ethics pertaining to assisted reproductive technology (ART), the contested case of prenatal adoption, and the application of double-effect reasoning. Summary: On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the promulgation of Pope Paul VI’s encyclical Humanae vitae, this article seeks to defend its enduring relevance to modern-day society, through application of its reasoning to contemporary dilemmas in reproductive medicine. It considers real cases of the ethics of prescribing hormonal contraceptives, of investigating male infertility, of cooperating in counseling and assisting conception in same-sex relationships, of ART, of prenatal adoption, and the application of double-effect reasoning.

Abstract:
The book Mediation of family conflicts published by Pro Universitaria Publishing House in December 2020 is the latest publication by the authors Apostu Iulian and Voinea Maria. The paper develops a theoretical approach on the evolution of conjugal structures in the Romanian space, highlighting the resources that define these changes and their effects in terms of functional changes in the family. The originality of the work derives from the new vision that the book brings in this dilemma - mediation or separation – thus synthesizing the sociological and psychological elements about mediation, counseling and therapy. The book is an excellent landmark for those who want to understand the idea of mediation, an action viewed from a threefold perspective: sociological, psychological and of intervention in social work.

Abstract:
Objetivo: analisar a frequência de sífilis entre os usuários do Centro de Testagem e Aconselhamento de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, e os fatores associados à infecção. Método: trata-se de um estudo transversal, com componentes descritivos e analíticos, realizado com usuários atendidos no serviço entre 2014 e 2019. Os dados foram coletados de fonte secundária, por amostragem aleatória e sistemática. Resultados: a amostra foi composta por 957 formulários de usuários e a frequência de casos de testes rápidos reagentes para sífilis foi de 11,3%, com distribuição semelhante entre os sexos. O diagnóstico da sífilis se associou de forma significativa às variáveis: situação conjugal, idade, escolaridade, quantidade de parcerias sexuais, orientação sexual e uso de drogas no último ano. Conclusão: programas de aconselhamento e testagem rápida devem ser incentivados para prevenção e diminuição das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis em Montes Claros e em todo país.

Durant la deuxième moitié du xxe siècle, l’entretien (counseling) centré sur la personne, associant une écoute dite active respectant le patient/usagers a fait ses preuves dans la relation aidant /aidé. Ces techniques ont pu s’adapter en fonction des cultures, des contextes et des différents topiques. Elles ont été utilisées dans de très larges spectres (conseil conjugal, accompagnement à la mort, révélation de maladies graves…). Le début du xxie siècle a permis de décrire de nouveaux outils permettant des entretiens plus rapides et tout aussi efficaces dans certains domaines tels que les entretiens pour améliorer l’adhésion aux thérapeutiques ou pour trouver ses propres ressources pour faire face à ses pratiques à risques. Ces dernières années de nouveaux outils sont utilisés pour améliorer l’efficacité sur le changement des comportements à risque et avoir une approche plus globale de l’individu et de son environnement dans la vraie vie. Ces outils sont principalement utilisés dans le cadre du model IMB ou « Intervention, Motivation and Behavior » (comportement). La brève communication est un processus de communication qui peut être utilisé par tous les professionnels de santé, formé à des techniques d’écoute brève, elle se réalise en moins d’une demi-heure, souvent en quelques minutes après avoir entendu la demande du patient, et avoir intégré ses déterminants environnementaux.

This paper looks at the journey of eleven counsellors in marital counselling centres in French-speaking Belgium, from the creation of the centres in 1953, to the 1970s, when contraception became legal, and abortion became a public issue. At the time of Humanae Vitae, groups of volunteers, working within Catholic organisations where counselling took place, began to structure their activity around Carl Rogers’s ethics of client-centred therapy, placing their religious ideology in a secondary position to focus on the problems experienced by the couples and women they were receiving in the centres. These were often challenges they were experiencing themselves in their own lives. The reiteration of the Catholic orthodox view on contraception through Humanae Vitae marked a gap between the counsellors and the Church. This contribution questions the identity-related tension of Catholics working in conjugal counselling centres and the type of commitments they made to both the conjugal centres and the Church in a moment where family planning was debated both in the Church and politically.

Abstract:
(1) Background: Guidelines on vaginal breech delivery require birth weight restrictions and neglect the impact of pelvic measurements despite contradicting evidence. There is a great need for more evidence on delivery outcome predicting factors for patients counselling. (2) Methods: We performed a prospective cohort study on 748 primiparous women intending vaginal breech birth and analyzed combined influence of fetal birth weight (BW) and the obstetric conjugate (conjugate vera obstetrica, CVO) on delivery outcome. (3) Results: We generated a BW/CVO ratio and devided our study cohort at median (257.8 g/cm) into a low ratio group (LR, with low birth weight and wide obstetric conjugate) and a high ratio group (HR, high birth weight and narrow obstetric conjugate). Cesarean section (CS) rate was significantly higher in HR (50.3%) as compared to LR (28.3%, p < 0.0001). Fetal morbidity was not different. In vaginally completed deliveries duration of birth was significantly longer in vHR (557 min) as in vLR (414 min, p < 0.001). Manual assistance to deliver the arms (‘Louwen maneuver’) positively correlated with birth weight (r2 = 0.215; p = 0.005) and the BW/CVO ratio (r2 = 0.0147; p = 0.02). (4) Conclusions: A high fetal birth weight combined with a tiny CVO predicts higher cesarean section probability, longer birth duration and the necessity to perform arm delivery assistance. Birth weight and pelvic measurements should be topics of great importance in patients counselling.

RESUMEN El estudio se sitúa en el ámbito de la orientación educativa y se centra en indagar cómo los asesores psicopedagógicos intervienen en el desarrollo y la formación permanente de los profesionales de la educación para mejorar la educación inclusiva. La nueva organización de la red de Centros de Formación, Innovación y Recursos (CEFIRE) de la Comunidad Valenciana exige repensar los modelos de asesoramiento psicopedagógico y la práctica orientadora desde las funciones otorgadas y las asumidas. Se presentan los resultados de un estudio empírico cuyo objetivo es profundizar en los roles desempeñados y las estrategias utilizadas por los orientadores-asesores para impulsar el avance de la educación inclusiva en los centros educativos. Metodológicamente se adopta un enfoque cualitativo que permite realizar un estudio descriptivo a través de grupos focales en los que participan 22 asesores de educación inclusiva de todos los CEFIREs del territorio. Como resultado se obtiene que acompañar, dinamizar, o gestionar recursos, son algunos de los roles desempeñados y que la creación de redes de recursos, el impulso de las metodologías inclusivas o las visitas pedagógicas se identifican como las estrategias más efectivas. En las conclusiones se destaca la importancia de conjugar diversas estrategias para favorecer la movilización del conocimiento y el avance de las prácticas inclusivas. Finalmente se plantean los retos a los que se enfrentan los asesores para desarrollar un modelo de acompañamiento colaborativo más acorde con el enfoque de la inclusión y con las consiguientes implicaciones en el campo de la orientación y la psicopedagogía.ABSTRACT The study is situated in the field of educational counselling and focuses on investigating how educational psychologists are involved in the development and in-service training of educational professionals to improve inclusive education. The new organisation of the network of Training, Innovation and Resource Centres (CEFIRE) in the Valencian Community requires rethinking the models of educational psychology counselling and counselling practice from the perspective of the functions provided and those assumed. We present the results of an empirical study that aims to deepen the roles played and the strategies used by counsellors-advisers to promote the advancement of inclusive education in educational centres. Methodologically, a qualitative approach is adopted that allows a descriptive study to be carried out through focus groups in which 22 inclusive education advisers from all the CEFIRE centres in the territory participate. As a result, some of the roles played include accompanying, energizing and managing resources. The creation of resource networks, the promotion of inclusive methodologies or pedagogical visits are identified as the most effective strategies. The conclusions highlight the importance of combining various strategies to promote the mobilization of knowledge and the advancement of inclusive practices. Finally, the challenges faced by advisers in developing a collaborative accompaniment model more in line with the approach to inclusion and with the consequent implications in the field of counseling and psychopedagogy are presented.

ObjectiveTo develop and evaluate interventions to improve quality of care in 4 priority areas in an urban safety net adult rheumatology clinic serving a racially/ethnically and socioeconomically diverse patient population.MethodsThe Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Model for Improvement was used to redesign clinical processes to achieve prespecified benchmarks in the following areas from 2015 to 2017: 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) administration among immunocompromised patients; disease activity monitoring with the Clinical Disease Activity Index (CDAI) for patients with rheumatoid arthritis; latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) screening for new biologic users with RA; and reproductive health counseling among women receiving potentially teratogenic medications. We measured performance for each using standardized metrics, defined as the proportion of eligible patients receiving recommended care.ResultsThere were 1205 patients seen in the clinic between 2015 and 2017. Regarding demographics, 71% were women, 88% identified as racial/ethnic minorities, and 45% were eligible for at least 1 of the quality measures. Shewart charts for the PCV13 and CDAI measures showed evidence of improved healthcare delivery over time. Benchmarks were achieved for the CDAI and LTBI measures with 93% and 91% performance, respectively. Performance for the PCV13 and reproductive health counseling measures was 78% and 46%, respectively, but did not meet prespecified improvement targets.ConclusionThrough an interprofessional approach, we were able to achieve durable improvements in key rheumatology quality measures largely by enhancing workflow, engaging nonphysician providers, and managing practice variation.

Abstract:
Horizontal gaze palsy with progressive scoliosis (HGPPS) is a rare, inherited disorder characterized by a congenital absence of conjugate horizontal eye movements with progressive scoliosis developing in childhood and adolescence. Mutations in the Roundabout (ROBO3) gene located on chromosome 11q23–25 are responsible for the development of horizontal gaze palsy and progressive scoliosis. However, some studies redefined the locus responsible for this pathology to a 9-cM region. This study carried out a systematic review in which 25 documents were analyzed, following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) standards. The search was made in the following electronic databases from January 1995 to October 2019: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, PEDRO, SPORT Discus, and CINAHL. HGPPS requires a multidisciplinary diagnostic approach, in which magnetic resonance imaging might be the first technique to suggest the diagnosis, which should be verified by an analysis of the ROBO3 gene. This is important to allow for adequate ocular follow up, apply supportive therapies to prevent the rapid progression of scoliosis, and lead to appropriate genetic counseling.

Seguindo perspectivas de estudos da fala em interação e métodos microetnográficos de pesquisa (Erickson & Shultz, 1981; Erickson, 1992), descrevo as principais atividades de fala (Gumperz, 1982) e realizações dos participantes no evento. Estas atividades-as falas mecânica, sobre o problema, de conselho e de acordo-foram identificadas pela análise dos modelos de participação (Goodwin, 1990) estabelecidos. É na fala sobre o problema que se realiza a tarefa interacional mais importante: a co-construção da vítima. Embora as ações dos participantes se orientem para a pauta institucional (Drew & Heritage, 1992) do encontro, suas realizações podem desafiar ordens sociais pré-existentes. A análise do trabalho de face (Goffman, 1967) em um dos modelos de participação da fala sobre o problema-a disputa mediada/tribunal-demonstra que os procedimentos de mediação não são suficientes para evitarem os danos às faces do marido e da esposa, já que tanto um quanto o outro geralmente usam trabalho de face agressivo: protegem a própria face ameaçando a do outro. Nesses casos, o trabalho de face se torna trabalho moral (Drew, 1998) e ganha a disputa aquele que melhor projeta um eu moralmente correto e vitimizado. Enfatizo o caráter interdisciplinar do presente trabalho, que espero possa ser útil aos estudos futuros sobre questões de vitimização, violência conjugal e interação.

La maladie d’Alzheimer affecte un nombre grandissant de personnes au Québec et ailleurs dans le monde. Les impacts de la maladie sur les personnes qui en sont atteintes et sur leurs proches sont nombreux et les couples qui y sont confrontés rencontrent des défis qui leur sont spécifiques. Le conjoint se voit investi d’un rôle d’aidant qu’il endosse « naturellement ». Ainsi, l’union passe d’un rapport conjugal à une relation aidant-aidé. Les identités conjugale et individuelles sont donc menacées par l’arrivée de la maladie. Or, l’offre de services publics tient peu compte des réalités conjugales et s’adresse essentiellement aux individus. Pourtant, le bonheur est lié à la satisfaction conjugale et les bénéfices psychosociaux que procure la vie en couple sont plus grands que les coûts qui lui sont associés. C’est dans ce contexte que ce projet de recherche doctorale a été élaboré. Il vise d’abord à concevoir et à documenter une intervention psychosociale en art-thérapie auprès des couples touchés par la maladie d’Alzheimer. Puis, dans un deuxième temps, il cherche à saisir en profondeur l’expérience des couples qui ont bénéficié d’une telle intervention. Finalement, le projet souhaite porter un regard réflexif sur une pratique d’intervention qui allie deux identités professionnelles; le travail social et l’art-thérapie. Les cinq couples de participants ont été recrutés par le biais d’organismes communautaires qui s’adressent aux aînés. Une rencontre pré-intervention a d’abord eu lieu. Puis, l’intervention, inspirée de l’approche par le processus en art-thérapie, s’est déroulée au domicile des couples et s’est échelonnée sur une période de 10 semaines. Pendant les rencontres d’une durée de 60 à 120 minutes, les couples étaient invités à créer, parfois individuellement, parfois conjointement. Un rapport détaillé de chaque séance a été rédigé, constituant ainsi des récits des démarches vécues par les couples. Tous les couples ont également été conviés à tenir un journal de bord entre les séances. Une entrevue postintervention a ensuite permis de recueillir le vécu et les perceptions des couples sur leur expérience. Le contenu de cette dernière entrevue réalisée avec chaque couple a été enregistré et retranscrit pour l’analyse. En somme, plus de 80 heures d’intervention et de rencontres ont été réalisées auprès des couples. À ce corpus de données s’ajoutent le contenu des journaux de bord complétés hebdomadairement par trois des couples participants ainsi que plus de 90 oeuvres créées par les couples tout au long des séances. Finalement, un groupe de pairs a partagé sa compréhension des expériences vécues par les couples et contribué à l’analyse. Les échanges avec ce groupe ont aussi été enregistrés et retranscrits. Toutes ces données ont été analysées selon la méthode d’analyse par questionnement analytique développée par Paillé et Mucchielli (2012). Les conclusions suggèrent que l’art-thérapie est une approche d’intervention favorable à la consolidation des unions conjugales qui font face à la maladie d’Alzheimer. Certains couples ont exprimé avoir ressenti du plaisir, s’être rapprochés, avoir développé une sensibilité à la réalité de l’autre et avoir pu donner un sens à leur situation. La recherche permet de soumettre des hypothèses sur les modalités optimales de l’art-thérapie auprès de cette population ; elle suggère notamment de maintenir un outil, journal de bord ou autre, qui permet aux couples de s’exprimer entre les rencontres. Quelques pièges à éviter ont aussi été identifiés. Par exemple, certains conjoints parlent de leur proche devant lui. L’intervenant a intérêt à prévoir des mécanismes pour éviter que cela se produise; une rencontre individuelle avec chaque partenaire avant le début de la démarche conjugale serait une solution à envisager. La recherche a permis aussi d’identifier huit fonctions à l’expression artistique dans un contexte d’intervention psychosociale en art-thérapie : ludique, apaisante, expressive, libératrice, stimulante, révélatrice, identitaire et transformatrice. De plus, la recherche suggère que l’expression artistique est un outil de médiation du lien conjugal qui est affecté par la maladie d’Alzheimer et ce, à plusieurs niveaux. Bien qu’elle facilite la gestion des conflits, la médiation dépasse le rôle de l’arbitrage pour devenir un outil qui permet d’aller à la rencontre de soi, de l’autre, d’un nous qui est re-solidarisé face à la maladie. Finalement, le regard réflexif porté sur la double identité professionnelle de l’intervenantechercheure, travailleuse sociale et art-thérapeute, s’ouvre sur la perspective d’une identité globale transcendante : celle d’une intervenante.<br>Alzheimer's disease touches a growing number of people in Quebec and around the world. Impacts of the disease on people affected and on their loved ones are numerous. Couples confronted with the disease also face specific challenges. The spouse becomes invested in a role of caregiver endorsed "naturally". Thus, the union goes from a marital relationship to a caregiver-patient relationship. Marital and individual identities are therefore threatened by the arrival of the disease. Yet, public services take very little account of marital realities and aim primarily at individuals. However, happiness is linked to marital satisfaction, and the psychosocial benefits of living in a relationship are greater than the costs associated with it. It is in this context that this doctoral research has been conducted. It aims in the first place at designing and documenting a psychosocial intervention in art therapy for couples affected by Alzheimer's disease. It then seeks to capture in depth the experience of the couples who benefited from such an intervention. Finally, the project wants to reflect on a practice of intervention that combines two professional identities; social work and art therapy. The five participating couples were recruited through community-based organizations that serve seniors. To start, a pre-intervention meeting was held. Then, the intervention, inspired by the process approach in art therapy, took place at the couples' homes and was spread out over a period of 10 weeks. During the 60 to 120 minutes meetings, couples were invited to create; sometimes individually, sometimes together. A detailed report of each session was compiled, thus representing the stories of each couple's approach. All couples were also invited to keep a logbook between sessions. A post-intervention interview then collected the experiences and perceptions of each couple. The content of this last interview was recorded and transcribed for analysis. In total, more than 80 hours of intervention and meetings were done with the couples. We can add to this corpus of data the contents of the diaries completed weekly by three of the participating couples, as well as more than 90 works of art created throughout the sessions. Finally, a peer group shared their understanding of the experiences lived by the couples and contributed to the analysis. Exchanges with this peer group have also been recorded and transcribed. All this data was analyzed according to the analysis method of Paillé and Mucchielli (2012). The findings suggest that art therapy is a type of intervention which is helpful in strengthening the marital unions for people who face Alzheimer's disease. Some couples expressed that they found pleasure in the process, got closer, developed a sensitivity to the reality of the other, and made sense of their situation. The research allows for theory proposals about optimal methods of art therapy with this population; it suggests among other things the use of a logbook, or any other type of diary, which allows couples to express themselves between meetings. Some pitfalls to avoid were also identified. For example, some spouses talk about their loved ones in front of them. The facilitator should then provide means to prevent this from happening; an individual meeting with each partner before the beginning of the process would be a solution to consider. The research also helped identify eight functions of the artistic expression in a context of psychosocial intervention in art therapy: playful, soothing, expressive, liberating, stimulating, revealing, identity affirming and transformative. In addition, research suggests that artistic expression, on several levels, is a mediating tool for people affected by Alzheimer's disease, helping their marital bond. Although it facilitates the management of conflicts, mediation goes beyond the role of arbitration to become a tool that allows us to meet the self, to meet the other, and an "us" that is re-united in the face of the disease. Finally, the reflection on the dual professional identity of the researcher, social worker and art therapist opens up to the perspective of a transcendent global identity: that of a practitioner.<br>Résumé en espagnol

Buscou-se, ainda, analisar o trajeto que o homem agressor percorria na instituição e os encaminhamentos dados a essa demanda. Foi também contatado o Fórum e a Delegacia de Mulheres do Município. A análise indica que as concepções das operadoras sociais sobre a violência conjugal influenciam as práticas utilizadas no atendimento às vítimas e autores de violência. The assistance is offered in a counseling program, which provides aid for women in marital violence situation, by an institution in a medium-sized city in Rio Grande do Sul. Data were collected through ethnographic approach, especially through participant observation. Both the trajectory of the male-aggressor in the institution and the follow-ups for the local needs were analyzed. The local Courthouse and the All-Female Police Station were also contacted for the purposes of this study. Analysis shows that the social operators’ conceptions regarding marital violence influence the practices employed in dealing with the victims and aggressors. Objet d’affrontements régulièrement actualisées au 20e siècle, la production de discours pédagogiques sur la sexualité au sein de l’institution scolaire ne fait pas consensus. L’École ne parvient pas à constituer un monopole pédagogique relatif à l’éducation sexuelle. Si des connaissances biologiques concernant la reproduction humaine trouvent droit de cité dans le curriculum dès 1968, l’éducation sexuelle, rendue facultative en 1973, puis obligatoire en 1998, échappe en partie aux agents du système d’enseignement au profit d’associations en concurrence pour l’imposition de la morale familiale légitime. Des mobilisations hygiénistes contre la syphilis à la lutte contre le sida, en passant par la promotion du mariage ou de la contraception pour prévenir l’IVG, il s’agit d’étudier dans cette thèse le processus d’élaboration de ce bien pédagogique. Différents services d'aide et de soutien sont à la portée des femmes victimes de violence conjugale au Québec. La plupart d'entre eux sont vus comme légitimes, alors que d'autres semblent susciter une polémique. C'est le cas des pratiques réparatrices effectuées en contexte de violence entre partenaires intimes. La difficulté de concevoir qu'une victime de violence conjugale puisse s'engager dans une rencontre dialogue avec son agresseur provient des vifs débats sur l'applicabilité de la justice réparatrice à la complexité des violences faites aux femmes. Cette recherche vise à explorer et documenter les points de vue des intervenantes travaillant en maison d'hébergement pour femmes victimes de violence conjugale en ce qui concerne les programmes de dialogue appartenant au paradigme réparateur. Cette étude qualitative et exploratoire a permis de recueillir des données par l'entremise d'entrevues individuelles semi-dirigées auprès de neuf professionnelles travaillant dans le domaine des violences conjugales et familiales. L'analyse des résultats de notre étude illustre i) la représentation que ces professionnelles se font des dangers et des bénéfices pour les femmes qui s'engagent dans une démarche réparatrice avec leur agresseur, ii) la singularité perçue du phénomène de la violence conjugale, et les conditions qu'elles estiment nécessaires pour rendre plus adéquats les programmes, ainsi que iii) les différentes attentes des intervenantes au regard de l'adaptabilité et de l'adéquation de ces services destinées à leur clientèle. Les résultats permettent enfin de rendre visible les différents contextes dans lesquels œuvrent ces féministes. Ces contextes ont une influence non négligeable dans les perceptions qu'elles arborent vis-à-vis de la justice réparatrice. Afin d'être en mesure de faire reconnaître les démarches réparatrices en contexte de violence conjugale au Québec, les promoteurs de la justice réparatrice doivent ouvrir le dialogue avec les centres d'hébergement pour gagner leur confiance. Ce lieu d'échange permettrait de mieux comprendre l'origine des résistances des intervenantes et d'inclure leur expertise, et ce, en ouvrant à la collaboration et au partenariat avec les milieux féministes.

Este trabalho constitui um estudo acerca da convivência, sentimentos e vivência na adaptação dos casais com um dos cônjuges na expectativa de mudança de vida com o transplante hepático. Para este estudo foram realizadas entrevistas com seis casais na faixa etária entre 24 a 77 anos, com tempo mínimo de convivência de quatro anos e espera na lista de transplante a partir de seis meses. O diagnóstico da doença hepática foi oriundo de distúrbios metabólicos e virais dissociado da dependência química. Foi realizada uma entrevista semidirigida com os cônjuges, individualmente, contendo dados sócio-demográficos e questões que atendem aos objetivos da pesquisa. Foram analisados os conteúdos verbais e não verbais do discurso dos cônjuges categorizando-se as respostas por temas afins, baseando-se na Análise Temática. O estudo aponta que os casais vivenciam tensão e ansiedade enquanto aguardam o transplante; a entrada em lista, na grande maioria, provocou um impacto muito grande; as necessidades apresentadas foram a realização rápida do transplante e dificuldades financeiras em decorrência dos gastos com a doença e a baixa remuneração dos mesmos. As atitudes de paciência, compreensão e mais os sentimentos de confiança, amor e fé religiosa foram apontados como recursos para enfrentar a situação. A relação conjugal, após entrada na lista, trouxe alterações para os casais, abertos para a experiência de mudança, abrangendo os familiares e o grupo social. Os projetos e expectativas apresentados mostraram-se aprisionados à espera do transplante. A conclusão a qual se chegou com esse estudo é que a interação conjugal perpassada pelo processo de adoecer apresenta peculiaridades com nuances individuais e conjugais que, para sua resignificação conjugal, necessita de um cuidado interdisciplinar para possibilitar qualidade de vida ao casal. Espera-se que este trabalho contribua na melhoria do suporte psicológico ao casal frente à expectativa do transplante hepático e ofereça subsídio clínico-teórico aos profissionais interessados na área de saúde mental<br>This research is an investigation about feelings and adjustment of couples in their expectation of a change life with a liver transplant. For this study were conducted interviews with six couples in the age bracket between 24 to 77 years, with minimum time four years of coexistence, and expects the list of transplant from six months; diagnosis multifactorial decoupled from chemical dependency. It held an interview more or less conducted, individually containing socio-demographic issues that meet the objectives of the research. Were analyzed the contents of the verbal and non-verbal speech of the spouses, analysing for the answers related themes based on the Thematic Review. The study suggests that couples live tension and anxiety while awaiting a transplant, the entry list in the vast majority caused a catastrophic impact, the needs were presented the achievement of rapid and transplantation financial difficulties as a result of spending on disease and low pay . Attitudes of patience, understanding and more the feelings of trust, love and religious faith have been identified as resources to address the situation. The conjugal relationship after entry in the list has brought changes for couples open to the experience of covering the changing family and social group. The projects submitted and expectations have been trapped in hopes of the transplant. The conclusion which was reached in that study is: the interaction conjugal, the process of sicken has peculiarities with nuances that individual and marriage to his resignification conjugal, they needs a careful interdisciplinary quality of life to enable the couple. It is hoped that this work, help in improving the psychological support to the couple before the expectation of liver transplantation and offers clinical-theoretical allowance for professionals interested in the area of mental health

Les victimes d’agression sexuelle à l’enfance (ASE) sont à risque de développer une multitude de symptômes dans diverses sphères du fonctionnement. Ces symptômes peuvent se poursuivre jusqu’à l’âge adulte et nuire au développement et à la stabilité des relations conjugales (Briere & Runtz, 1993). Ils sont associés à la qualité du soutien reçu par l’enfant (Charuvastra & Cloitre, 2008; Godbout et al., 2014). La présente étude a pour but d’examiner la prévalence du soutien suite à une ASE et la façon dont il est associé à divers indicateurs de la qualité des relations de couple (attachement amoureux ainsi que la détresse psychologique, sexuelle et conjugale). Un échantillon de 1309 participants actuellement en relation de couple a été recruté au sein de la communauté afin de répondre à des questionnaires en ligne portant sur les antécédents d’ASE, le soutien perçu suite au dévoilement de cet évènement, l’attachement amoureux, la détresse psychologique, la détresse conjugale et la détresse sexuelle. Parmi l’échantillon, 19.1% (n = 250) ont rapporté avoir vécu une ASE. Parmi ces victimes d’ASE, 15.6% (n = 39) ont rapporté avoir reçu du soutien positif suite au dévoilement, 17.6% (n = 44) ont reçu un soutien négatif alors que 66.8% (n = 167) n’ont jamais dévoilé l’ASE. Des analyses acheminatoires indiquent que conformément aux hypothèses de recherche, le soutien négatif est associé à de plus grandes difficultés d’attachement (anxiété d’abandon et évitement de l’intimité) qui sont associées à plus de détresse psychologique, conjugale et sexuelle. Ces résultats démontrent le rôle protecteur du soutien perçu dans le développement de répercussions psycho-sexo-relationnelles suite à l’ASE. Ils contribueront au développement de meilleures pratiques en matière de gestion du dévoilement de l’ASE dans le travail de prévention et de traitement de couples où l’un des partenaires a vécu ce type d’expérience abusive.<br>Victims of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) are at risk of developing multiple symptoms in various spheres of functioning that may continue into adulthood and adversely affect the development and stability of couple relationships (Briere & Runtz, 1993). The nature and extent of this diversity is associated with the quality of support received by the child (Charuvastra & Cloitre, 2008, Godbout & al., 2014). In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine the extent of social support received by adult survivors of CSA and how it is associated with various indicators of couple relationships quality (attachment as well as psychological, sexual and conjugal distress). A sample of 1309 participants currently in a couple relationship was recruited from within the community to answer online questionnaires about CSA, support received following the unveiling of this event, attachment, psychological distress, marital and sexual distress. Of the sample, 19.1% (n = 250) reported having experienced CSA. Of these CSA victims, 15.6% (n = 39) reported receiving support following the unveiling, 17.6% (n = 44) received negative support, while 66.8% (n = 167) never disclosed CSA. Path analyses indicated that, consistent with our assumptions, negative support is associated with greater attachment difficulties (abandonment anxiety and avoidance of intimacy) that are associated with greater psychological, couple and sexual distress. These results show the protective role of perceived support in the development of psycho-sexo-relational consequences following the CSA. These results will contribute to the development of best practices in managing the unveiling of CSA in preventive and therapeutic interventions with couples where one of the partners has experienced this type of abusive experience.
