Se utilizaron aceitunas negras fermentadas para la elaboración de crema de aceitunas, preparadas con diferentes cantidades de emulsionante lecitina, determinándose mediante evaluación sensorial que las cremas de aceitunas negras con 1 % de lecitina y sin lecitina no tienen diferencia para una significancia del 5% por el método de datos pareados.

Abstract:
El presente proyecto consistió en el desarrollo de una investigación de mercado del producto crema de sábila de la empresa aromas y sabores del desierto, la cual se encarga de la elaboración artesanal y comercialización del producto bajo el contexto de una microempresa. La empresa necesita saber si el mercado es suficientemente atractivo para ampliar su producción. El objetivo de esta investigación fue medir la atractividad del mercado de las personas de piel delicada o seca, diabéticos y a quienes les gusta las cremas naturales, identificar los gustos y preferencias de los consumidores y definir los canales de distribución. La población objetivo fueron las amas de casa en ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua. Esta encuesta se llevó a cabo aplicando un cuestionario como instrumento de recopilación de datos, el cual consto de 21 preguntas, y se aplicaron cara a cara. El tamaño de la muestra fue de 170 amas de casa. Los principales resultados nos indican que el 90.59% usa crema, la demanda de crema es en un 42.94% para piel seca, 42.35% para la normal, 13.53% extraseca y el .59% tanto para piel diabética y como para la grasosa, el consumo es de una hasta 4 cremas mensuales, el tipo de envase que prefieren es el tarro chico (100 grs) y el mediano (200 grs), el grado de aceptación de la crema de sábila es bueno, por lo que se puede concluir que si existe un mercado potencial.

Abstract:
Objetivo: Reportar el uso crema dental en niños peruanos menores de 12 años, durante el periodo del 2016 - 2018. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue descriptivo, longitudinal y retrospectivo, utilizándose los registros de la base de datos ENDES, Perú, durante 2016-2018. La muestra fue multietápico, probabilística y estratificada, formada por 118 716 registros de niños menores de 12 años de edad. Las variables fueron: uso de crema dental, concentración de flúor, departamento, ámbito geográfico y región natural. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo de las frecuencias absolutas y relativas. Resultados: De los participantes, se cepillaban los dientes, el 88%; se cepillan los dientes 2 veces al día, el 40%; utilizaban crema dental, el 98%; usaban crema dental con una concentración de flúor de 1000ppm o más, el 44,6% (n=15 376), 43,2% (n=14 545) y 44% (n=16 227), para los años 2016, 2017 y 2018, respectivamente. En los departamentos de Piura, Loreto, San Martin y Ucayali usan crema dental ≥1000ppm de flúor, en mayor porcentaje, en un 55% a 74,9%. Las cremas dentales con ≥1000ppm de flúor fueron más utilizadas en la región de la selva y zonas urbanas. Conclusión: Se encontró que la población se cepilla los dientes, con una frecuencia de 2 veces al día y utilizan crema dental; sin embargo, menos de la mitad de peruanos menores de 12 años de edad, utiliza crema dental fluorada con 1000 ppm o más. Estos resultados se podrían relacionarse con las políticas preventivas actuales contra la caries dental.

Abstract:
Although cremation is an increasingly popular method of body disposal, there is little research on ash disposition, particularly the decisions and negotiations underlying the process. Americans who have recently encountered the cremation of loved ones for the first time have not been studied at all; the present research describes 87 of their cremation experiences. Adults who were actively involved in cremation and ash disposition decisions were interviewed about these processes at every stage, from the decision to cremate through the performance of final rituals for their dead. Results detail family and friends' active negotiations over cremation and ash disposition, the surprises they encountered, and the personally meaningful rituals they created for their loved ones. As in other emerging postdeath rituals, the enactment of individualized rituals for the dead was seen as a positive experience; accordingly, most participants preferred to be cremated and honored through nontraditional rituals themselves.

Abstract:
Climate change poses a significant threat to Africa, and deforestation rates have increased in recent years. Mitigation initiatives such as REDD+ are widely considered as potentially efficient ways to generate emission reductions (or removals), conserve or sustainably manage forests, and bring benefits to communities, but effective implementation models are lacking. This paper presents the case of Ghana's Community Resource Management Area (CREMA) mechanism, an innovative natural resource governance and landscape-level planning tool that authorizes communities to manage their natural resources for economic and livelihood benefits. This paper argues that while the CREMA was originally developed to facilitate community-based wildlife management and habitat protection, it offers a promising community-based structure and process for managing African forest resources for REDD+. At a theoretical level, it conforms to the ecological, socio-cultural and economic factors that drive resource-users’ decision process and practices. And from a practical mitigation standpoint, the CREMA has the potential to help solve many of the key challenges for REDD+ in Africa, including definition of boundaries, smallholder aggregation, free prior and informed consent, ensuring permanence, preventing leakage, clarifying land tenure and carbon rights, as well as enabling equitable benefit-sharing arrangements. Ultimately, CREMA's potential as a forest management and climate change mitigation strategy that generates livelihood benefits for smallholder farmers and forest users will depend upon the willingness of African governments to support the mechanism and give it full legislative backing, and the motivation of communities to adopt the CREMA and integrate democratic decision-making and planning with their traditional values and natural resource management systems.

AbstractThucydides’ account of the Athenian war dead creates a false image of a clean and efficient, systematic processing of the dead. To look beyond his description it is necessary to assess the practicalities involved in the process. In so doing, it has been necessary to reassess our own historical models. The logistics of identifying the dead accurately, combined with the amount of wood necessary to offer a complete cremation for hundreds of bodies, brings into question the notion that the war dead were cremated by tribe and kept separate up to their public burial. Similarly the notion of ash or bone returning to Athens is too clean, so use of the term “cremains” is proposed to offer an accurate terminology and bring ancient history in line with archaeological practices. When the practicalities and logistics involved in the processing of the dead are considered, some significant issues are raised concerning not only our own presumptions, but also the narrative that Thucydides himself offers.

A great poem that touches the core heart of the readers executing the rustic forefathers’ lives and emotions is nothing but Gray’s Country Churchyard which uplands the lawn with kindred spirit. Gray harnesses the poem with the breezy calls that enviously kiss us in the destiny of ‘’homely joys’’. The humble buried beds are not only twittering ears of Gray but also they are the signification of clarion call that figure out solemn background of the rude forefathers who unlike the citizen of city swelled their ‘’paths of glory’’ against the ‘’inevitable hour’’. As an advocate of the down-trodden, Gray tries to persuade that the rich should not look down upon the poor. The poor are also respectable being though they do not get an opportunity to elevate their lives as do the rich. Furthermore, though they were not able to cremate their dead bodies in the boundary of the churchyard, it was not their faults. Despite the wealthy and the proud people though get place to be cremated in the churchyards singing the hymns in honor of dead, they suffer huge setbacks in this worldly affairs. Because time is the grand mower whose sickle never leaves anybody whether rich or poor but mows down all forever.

Abstract:
L’objectiu d’aquest estudi és descriure les conseqüències que pot tenir, en la salut mental i enla qualitat de vida, el fet de patir cremades que requereixin de l’hospitalització dels pacients. A més a més, intenta identificar també alguns dels mecanismes que intervenen en l’aparició d’aquest malestar. Per tal de fer-ho, es realitza una revisió de la literatura i es recullen les dades sociodemogràfiques dels participants, les característiques de la lesió i del seu tractament, antecedents mèdics i consum de tòxics al llarg dels sis mesos posteriors al moment de la lesió, mitjançant una entrevista semi-estructurada creada ad-hoc específicament per a aquest projecte. També s’administren diversos instruments d’avaluació per tal de mesurar la personalitat, els símptomes d’ansietat, de depressió, d’estrès traumàtic, l’estat de salut general i la qualitat de vida dels pacients. En aquesta tesi doctoral es confirma la presència de psicopatologia secundària a la cremada i s’assenyala a variables subjectives, com la personalitat o aquelles relacionades amb la creació de memòries traumàtiques, com a factors de risc. Aquests resultats podrien augmentar la comprensió dels efectes psicosocials que tenen les lesions per cremada greu en les seves víctimes i el seu entorn més proper, així com identificar certs factors de vulnerabilitat que podrien ajudar a prevenir les evolucions més tòrpides pel que fa a salut mental i emocional.
The aim of this study is to describe the possible consequences, in terms of mental health and quality of life of patients suffering burns requiring hospitalization. In addition, we attempt to identify some of the mechanisms involved in the appearance of distress among these patients. To do so, a review of the literature was performed and also, demographic data of the participants, nature of the injury and its treatment, medical history and use of toxic substances during the six months after the time of injury, were collected using a semi-structured interview created ad-hoc specifically for this project. In addition, several assessment measurements of personality, anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress symptoms, general health status and quality of life were administered. This doctoral thesis confirms the presence of psychopathology secondary to burns and points to subjective variables, such as personality or those related to the creation of traumatic memories, as risk factors. These results may increase understanding of the psychosocial effects due to serious burn injuries on their victims and their relatives, and identify certain variables of vulnerability that could help to prevent more torpid evolution with respect to mental and emotional symptoms.

Abstract:
Introducció: El pacient gran cremat (PGC) presenta en els dies posteriors al traumatisme tèrmic, una alteració de la coagulació d'origen multifactorial. Són diversos els estudis realitzats sobre coagulació al PGC, però, el Factor XIII (FXIII), encarregat de convertir els monòmers de fibrina en un coàgul estable i relacionat amb el procés de cicatrització de les ferides, no s'ha estudiat fins a l'actualitat. Els dèficits de FXIII no es detecten amb les proves de coagulació habituals, de manera que encara que aquestes fossin normals el PGC podria arribar a quiròfan en un situació de coagulopatia inadvertida. Donat que el PGQ presenta un procés de cicatrització extensa, el consum d'aquest Factor podria estar justificat. Justificació científica: El PGC es sotmet a una cirurgia amb alt risc de sagnat per al desbridament de les cremades, a la qual podria estar arribant a una situació de coagulopatia inadvertida per dèficit de FXIII. Aquest estudi ens permetrà saber si els nivells de Factor XIII al PGC es troben dins dels rangs de normalitat en el moment de la intervenció quirúrgica i si el nostre pacient es troba en risc de patir una coagulopatia. Hipòtesi: El pacient gran cremat pateix un dèficit adquirit de Factor XIII. Objectius: L'objectiu principal d'aquest estudi és determinar si el pacient gran cremat presenta un dèficit de Factor XIII en el moment de l'acte quirúrgic. Objectius secundaris: Descriure la cinètica del FXIII en els 30 primers dies després del trauma tèrmic. Relacionar els nivells de FXIII amb el consum intraoperatori d'hemoderivats així com amb la cicatrització. Relacionar el consum de FXIII amb la superfície corporal cremada. Veure si hi ha relació entre el MCF del ROTEM i els nivells de FXIII. Descriure la cinètica de diferents factors i cofactors implicats en la coagulació, anticoagulació i fibrinòlisi, així com diferents tests de coagulació durant els 30 dies després del trauma tèrmic. Relacionar els paràmetres estudiats amb la morbimortalitat. Disseny de l'estudi: Es tracta d'un estudi pilot observacional, prospectiu unicèntric, de la cinètica de l'FXIII, així com d'altres factors i cofactors de la coagulació del PGC durant els 30 primers dies després del trauma tèrmic en una mostra de 21 pacients grans cremats . Resultats: El FXIII presenta una caiguda significativa de 75.10 punts percentuals des del trauma tèrmic fins al preoperatori i de 87.70 punts fins a les 24 hores postoperatòries, arribant a la cirurgia amb una mitjana de FXIII antigènic del 32%. La major part de factors pateixen un descens significatiu en nivells plasmàtics a les 24 hores del trauma tèrmic. Conclusions: El PGC experimenta una disminució dels nivells plasmàtics de FXIII significativa des del moment de l'ingrés fins a 24 hores després de la cirurgia, trobant-se en nivells infranormals en el moment de la intervenció quirúrgica que no es van poder detectar mitjançant altres tests de coagulació. El descens de la majoria dels factors a les 24 hores sembla estar associat amb la dilució per la fluidoteràpia intensiva de la ressuscitació.
Introducción: El paciente gran quemado (PGQ) presenta en los días posteriores al traumatismo térmico, una alteración de la coagulación de origen multifactorial. Varios son los estudios realizados sobre coagulación en el PGQ, sin embargo, el Factor XIII (FXIII), encargado de convertir los monómeros de fibrina en un coágulo estable y relacionado con el proceso de cicatrización de las heridas, no se ha estudiado hasta la actualidad. Los déficits de FXIII no se detectan con las pruebas de coagulación habituales, por lo que aunque estas fueran normales el PGQ podría llegar a quirófano en un situación de coagulopatía inadvertida. Dado que el PGQ presenta un proceso de cicatrización extensa, el consumo de este Factor podría estar justificado. Justificación científica: El PGQ se somete a una cirugía con alto riesgo de sangrado para el desbridamiento de las quemaduras, a la cual podría estar llegando en una situación de coagulopatía inadvertida por déficit de FXIII. Este estudio nos permitirá saber si los niveles de Factor XIII en el PGQ se encuentran dentro de los rangos de normalidad en el momento de la intervención quirúrgica y si nuestro paciente se encuentra en riesgo de sufrir una coagulopatía. Hipótesis: El paciente gran quemado sufre un déficit adquirido de Factor XIII. Objetivos: El objetivo principal de este estudio es determinar si el paciente gran quemado presenta un déficit de Factor XIII en el momento del acto quirúrgico. Objetivos secundarios: Describir la cinética del FXIII en los 30 primeros días tras el trauma térmico. Relacionar los niveles de FXIII con el consumo intraoperatorio de hemoderivados así como con la cicatrización. Relacionar el consumo de FXIII con la TBSA. Ver si hay relación entre el MCF del ROTEM y los niveles de FXIII. Describir la cinética de diferentes factores y cofactores implicados en la coagulación, anticoagulación y fibrinolisis, así como diferentes test de coagulación durante los 30 días tras el trauma térmico. Relacionar los parámetros estudiados con la morbimortalidad. Diseño del estudio: Se trata de un estudio piloto observacional, prospectivo unicéntrico, de la cinética del FXIII, así como de otros factores y cofactores de la coagulación del PGQ durante los 30 primeros días tras el trauma térmico en una muestra de 21 pacientes grandes quemados. Resultados: El FXIII presenta una caída significativa de 75.10 puntos porcentuales desde el trauma térmico hasta el preoperatorio y de 87.70 puntos hasta las 24 horas postoperatorias, llegando a la cirugía con una mediana de FXIII antigénico del 32%. La mayor parte de factores sufren un descenso significativo en niveles plasmáticos a las 24 horas del trauma térmico. Conclusiones: El PGQ experimenta una disminución de los niveles plasmáticos de FXIII significativa desde el momento del ingreso hasta 24 horas tras la cirugía, encontrándose en niveles infranormales en el momento de la intervención quirúrgica que no se pudieron detectar mediante otros tests de coagulación. El descenso de la mayoría de los factores a las 24 horas parece estar asociado con la dilución por la fluidoterapia intensiva de la resucitación.
Introduction: In the days after thermal trauma, the patient with severe burn (MBP) injury presents a multifactorial alteration of coagulation. There are several studies carried out on coagulation in MBP, however, Factor XIII (FXIII), responsible for converting fibrin monomers into a stable clot and related to the wound healing process, has not been studied to date . FXIII deficits are not detected with the usual coagulation tests, so even if these were normal, the MBP could reach the operating room in a situation of inadvertent coagulopathy. Given that MBP has an extensive healing process, the consumption of this Factor could be justified. Scientific justification: The PGQ undergoes a surgery with a high risk of bleeding for the debridement of burns, to which it could be arriving in a situation of inadvertent coagulopathy due to FXIII deficiency. This study will allow us to know if the levels of Factor XIII in the MBP are within normal ranges at the time of surgery and if our patient is at risk of coagulopathy. Hypothesis: The large burn patient suffers from an acquired deficiency of Factor XIII. Objectives: The main objective of this study is to determine if the severely burned patient has a Factor XIII deficiency at the time of surgery. Secondary objectives: To describe the kinetics of FXIII in the first 30 days after thermal trauma. Relate the levels of FXIII with the intraoperative consumption of blood products as well as with healing. Relate the consumption of FXIII with the burned surface area. See if there is a relationship between the ROTEM MCF and FXIII levels. Describe the kinetics of different factors and cofactors involved in coagulation, anticoagulation and fibrinolysis, as well as different coagulation tests during the 30 days after thermal trauma. Relate the parameters studied with morbidity and mortality. Study design: This is an observational, prospective single-center pilot study of FXIII kinetics, as well as other factors and cofactors of MBP coagulation during the first 30 days after thermal trauma in a sample of 21 large burn patients. Results: The FXIII shows a significant drop of 75.10 percentage points from the thermal trauma to the preoperative period and of 87.70 points until the 24 postoperative hours, reaching the surgery with a median antigenic FXIII of 32%. Most factors suffer a significant decrease in plasma levels 24 hours after thermal trauma. Conclusions: MBP experiences a significant decrease in plasma levels of FXIII from the time of admission to 24 hours after surgery, being at infranormal levels at the time of surgery that could not be detected by other coagulation tests. The decrease in most factors at 24 hours seems to be associated with dilution by intensive fluid therapy of resuscitation.

El presente proyecto de investigación es Crematto Helado y nació a partir de querer desmentir la relación común entre alimentos saludables y un gasto elevado. La idea de Crematto Helado vende prácticamente la idea de un helado artesanal de frutos exóticos que cuenten con un sabor inusual en un helado y, además, cuente con altas propiedades nutricionales. El producto será ofrecido al mercado en un precio competitivo con una entrega de manera rápida y eficiente. Los ingresos del proyecto Crematto Helado se obtendrán por medio de la venta online de Helados Artesanales y los costos principales son los recursos tales como los envases de vidrio, fruta y mano de obra. Para desarrollar, de manera exitosa, el presente proyecto, establecimos como socios clave principales a los proveedores de fruta y envases de vidrio. El modelo de negocio de Crematto Helado está dirigido a hombres y mujeres de entre 18 a 35 años con un Nivel Socio Económico A y B, con un estilo de vida moderno, sofisticado y adaptado, quienes claramente cuentan con buenos hábitos alimenticios y algunas preferencias por lo eco-amigable. La falta de postres de frutos exóticos bajos de azúcar y la creciente demanda y responsabilidad ambiental de los consumidores nos permitió encontrar un segmento muy llamativo e interesante. En el Concierge, tras publicar en las redes sociales los sabores que se ofrecerían, distintos seguidores de Crematto Helado, denominados hoy “Cremattolovers”, comenzaron a comentar y compartir la publicación. Fue entonces que establecimos nuestra misión el brindar la mejor opción de un helado saludable de frutas exóticas y visión el ser referencia de marca a nivel nacional reconocidos por nuestros helados de sabores no convencionales. El precio final determinado por frasco de helado saludable es de 15 soles, el cual es relativamente menor al de la competencia de cualquier naturaleza; sin embargo, en cuanto a sabores, no llevamos ventaja, ya que Crematto Helado cuenta con solo cinco. Tras establecer objetivos por área decidimos nuestra estrategia genérica, el cual es de Diferenciación porque su característica principal es el ser una alternativa de helado de sabores exóticos.
The present research project is Crematto and it came from wanting to disprove the common relationship between healthy foods and high spending. The idea of Crematto is practically sell the idea of an artisan ice cream with exotic fruits that have an unusual flavor in an ice cream and, in addition, have high nutritional properties. The product will be offered to the market at a competitive price with a fast and efficient delivery. The income from the Crematto project will be obtained through the online sale of Artisan Ice Creams and the main costs are resources such as glass containers, fruit, and labor. To successfully develop this project, we established as main key partners the suppliers of fruit and glass containers. Crematto business model is aimed at people between 18 and 35 years old with a Socio-Economic Level A and B, with a modern, sophisticated, and adapted lifestyle, who clearly have good eating habits and some preferences for eco-friendly products. The lack of low-sugar exotic fruit desserts and the increasing demand and environmental responsibility of consumers allowed us to find an extremely attractive and interesting segment. At the Concierge, after posting the flavors that would be offered on social media, different followers of Crematto, today called “Cremattolovers,” began to comment and share the publication. Then we established our mission to provide the best option for a healthy exotic fruit ice cream and vision to be a national brand reference recognized for our ice cream with unconventional flavors. The last price determined per jar of healthy ice cream is 15 soles, which is less than that of the competition of any nature; However, in terms of flavors, we are not ahead, since Crematto has only five. After establishing objectives by area, we decided on our generic strategy, which is Differentiation because its main characteristic is that it is an alternative to ice cream with exotic flavors.

La lesió per cremada s’ha associat a l’augment de la concentració de molts mediadors inflamatoris. Aquests mediadors són importants en la fisiopatologia de la cremada, contribuint a la disfunció orgànica i l’aparició de complicacions sèptiques. També són útils en l’establiment del pronòstic i són importants en la fisiopatologia de situacions concretes com la cicatrització o la lesió per inhalació de fums. En conseqüència, alguns d’aquests biomarcadors també podrien ser considerats com a possibles dianes terapèutiques. Igualment, com que els tractaments també poden afectar els processos biològics, els biomarcadors poden ser útils per guiar l’ús de determinats tractaments i podrien ajudar a explicar perquè alguns tractaments no són útils a l’hora de millorar el pronòstic de determinats pacients. Per tant, la investigació en biomarcadors és una característica principal de la medicina translacional d’aquesta àrea de coneixement. La present tesi té l’objectiu de valorar la utilitat en la determinació del pronòstic dels pacients cremats dels biomarcadors implicats en l’eix IL33/ST2. De fet, es tracta del primer article que analitza la significació pronòstica d’aquests biomarcadors en pacients cremats i els resultats obtinguts demostren la relació existent entre la concentració de la fracció soluble de la proteïna supressió de la tumorigenicitat 2 (sST2) i la mortalitat d’aquests pacients. A més a més, nivells elevats de sST2 també es van associar a una major incidència de complicacions infeccioses i de disfunció orgànica, suggerint que podria tenir un paper significatiu en la gènesi de la disfunció orgànica associada a la cremada. Per tots aquests motius, la mesura de la concentració de sST2 podria, en un futur, ajudar en el procés de presa de decisions sobre el tractament indicat en cada pacient ja que ens permetria saber quins són els pacients amb més alt risc de patir una mala evolució i que, per tant, es podrien beneficiar d’un tractament més agressiu.
Several inflammatory mediators have been shown to be increased after burn injury. They may be important in burn pathophysiology, contributing to organ dysfunction and sepsis apparition, and they may also predict outcomes. Moreover, they have been involved in pathophysiology of some special processes, such as inhalation injury or wound healing. Consequently, some biomarkers have been described as potential therapeutic targets. Importantly, as therapeutic interventions may also affect biological processes, biomarkers may be a useful tool to guide some treatments and may also explain why some treatments succeed or fail in improving outcomes. Therefore, investigation into biomarkers in severe burn patients is a key feature of translational medicine in this area of knowledge. Our aim was to analyze whether plasma levels of biomarkers involved in the IL33/ST2 axis might help to predict mortality in burn patients. This is the first study to show the prognostic significance of plasma levels of sST2 after burn injury. Indeed, higher plasma concentrations of sST2 were consistently associated with a higher risk of death, even after adjusting for different potential confounding. Moreover, higher levels of sST2 were also observed in burn patients who developed any infectious complication during their stay in the Burns Unit as well as in patients who presented MODS. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that plasma sST2 levels predict mortality in burn patients and may be useful to help or guide physicians in the bedside decision-making process during patient management.

Gesetzgebungspolitische Motivation des Schutzes für das eingetragene Design und Gemeinschaftsgeschmacksmuster ist es daher, einen wirtschaftlichen Anreiz für Innovationen der Entwerfer und für Investitionen der Produzenten von Erzeugnissen zu schaffen, die die Erfordernisse der Neuheit und Eigenart erfüllen. Der Schutzgegenstand liegt beim Geschmacksmuster bzw. Design – wie bei allen Teilgebieten des gewerblichen Rechtsschutzes – auf dem Schutz immaterieller Güter. Keinen Schutz gewährt das Designrecht für formlose Erzeugnisse wie Cremes oder Flüssigkeiten ohne ein besonderes Erscheinungsbild in der Farbgebung, Computerprogramme, Tiere oder Pflanzen, Ideen oder allgemeine Gedanken.
