IThere are various ways of being a sceptic. Most obviously, perhaps, versions of scepticism can differ with respect to scope. Scepticism can be universal; it can be directed against beliefs belonging to certain broad kinds, say beliefs having to do with the external world; or it can be quite focussed, as in the case of religious scepticism. But there is also the question of force. Some philosophers treat scepticism as a purely theoretical affair, defining it as the thesis that knowledge is impossible. This kind of scepticism, theoretical scepticism, has no essential connection with any particu

Abstract:
The study purpose is to develop methodological support for students’ training for evaluation e-tools for young learners and to check its effectiveness experimentally. The module “Expert evaluation of the quality of e-tools for young learners” is offered for teachers-to-be. The determination of the weighting factor of each criterion by expert evaluations was organized. Educational principles, correlation e-tool content with the curriculum, interactivity, multimedia, assistance system, ergonomic requirements are mentioned. Abstract:
Fitness for purpose girth defect assessments assume the presence of a single defect. This assumption is not always fulfilled. Welds may contain many small defects. These defects, when considered individually and without interaction, are generally innocuous. However, this may be a false conclusion as to the true strength or deformation capacity of the weld because neighbouring imperfections or defects may interact and may be more severe than each individual imperfection. When non-destructive examinations reveal multiple defects, a defect recategorisation procedure has to be applied to determine

Review question / Objective: The present study aimed to comprehensively explore the relationship between CD155 expression and clinical characteristics and prognosis of cancer patients. The study was based on comprehensive search of relevant literature. In particular, the study attempted to define the role of CD155 in various cancer types. Eligibility criteria: The pre-established inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) all subjects were cancer patients who received standard treatment; (2) The expression of CD155 in the cancer patients was well-examined, and all patients were assigned into two

Abstract:
Failures have occurred on gas-transmission pipelines at stress-corrosion cracking (SCC) locations that formed along the bottom of significant metal-loss defects. In one case, axial low pH SCC occurred within a large patch of significant metal loss; in a second case, selective axial metal loss occurred adjacent to the long seam, with coaxial low pH SCC forming at the bottom of this corrosion. While only a few instances of SCC growing in corrosion defects have been identified to date, the fact that initiation of SCC may favor more highly stressed sites, such as metal-loss defects, indicates that
