Abstract:
Roll bending plays an important role in elimination of non-uniform transverse internal stress and improvement quality of plate shape in leveling process. Taken the wedge adjustment bending device on a 11-roll cold leveler in a cross cut line as research object, in order to studying its bending characteristic, three-dimensional assembly model contained roll system, roller bending frame and upper beam has been built based on the finite element method. With the model, the necessity and function of the bending device has been verified. Different plate width, leveling force and roll bending value effects on working roll gap curve have been discussed. The result could serve as theoretical base for online set model and provide more precise parameters, accordingly maximize the potential ability of levelers.

Abstract:
The paper researched a seven-roll leveler in the cross cut shearing line of a factory. An analytical model of the roller intermesh was established based on the elastic-plastic bend theory. It was known the maximal deformation of strip happened on the second leveler roll in the leveling process by the analysis of FEM simulation for the calculation results of analytical model. However, the restriction applied to the strip at the entrance side was smaller than expected, which caused the deformation was smaller than the calculated value of analytical model. Aiming at this program, combined with the analysis of FEM simulation, it was improved by adding the adjustment of the intermesh of first roll.

Abstract:
According to the adjustment process of wide plate roller leveler of the cross cut shearing line, tilt model during leveling was established with ANSYS/LS_DYNA, which is one of the dynamic FE analysis software. The leveling effect on plate shape quality with or no with tilt model was analyzed respectively. The simulation results indicated the tilt model can get the more equivalent stress distribution and reduce the residual stress, which improve the straightness quality of the plate. In addition, the leveling force of each work roll can be decreased with tilt model. This is very beneficial to increase the production output of the leveler.

Abstract:
Final thesis describes two variants of computational models to simulate cross-roll leveling of rods, which are based on the Lagrangian approach to describe the continuum. Implementation of both variants was performed in ANSYS software, and their main difference lies in the choice of the type of elements for the discretization. An integral part of this thesis is the description of the principle, which is an evaluation of the curvature of the rod after completion of the simulation leveling. In the other part of the work are presented the results, which are then compared with realized experiment and simulation algorithm for cross-roll leveling based on the Euler approach. The final part is dedicated to the optimal settings of the leveller.
