Here we have studied the effect of low-temperature storage of the placenta at different temperatures on anti-inflammatory activity of its extracts in cell models of erythrocyte thermohemolysis and adenosine-5’-diphosphate-induced platelet aggregation. The wound-healing effect of cryopreserved placental extracts was also evaluated in rat thermal burn model. When preserving placenta for up to a month, the temperature of storage was shown to cause no significant impact on the percentage of inhibition of erythrocyte thermohemolysis and platelet aggregation by the extracts. As a means of correcting the ulcerogenic effect of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, our attention was attracted by a cryopreserved extract of the human placenta, which has a multivector spectrum of biological activity. Human placenta extracts have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and wound-healing properties, so they are promising drugs for the treatment of wounds of various origins, including burns. Cryopreservation methods are widely used to preserve the biological activity of placental drugs for a long time. The aim of this work was to study the effect of low-temperature storage of the placenta on the regenerative properties of its extracts. Fragments of freshly obtained placentas were cooled by immersion in liquid nitrogen and stored at –196 °C for 6 months. The placenta was warmed in a water bath at 37 °C

Abstract Seasonal reproductive inefficiency is still observed in modern swine facilities. We previously reported global placental methylation activity was reduced from summer breedings and tended to be less from semen collected during cooler periods. Our objective was to evaluate chromatin modification marks within swine placenta in relationship to breeding season, semen collection season, and semen storage. White composite gilts were artificially inseminated in August or January using single-sire semen that was collected during warm or cool periods and stored as either cryopreserved or cooled

Hemomicrocirculatory bed (HMCB) in the modern sense is a complex organized system that provides ordered motion of blood, tissue fluids, absorption and excretion of biochemical substrates, metabolites, biologically active substances. Among the interrelated and interdependent processes in the system of HMCB, the main role belongs to the patterns of blood circulation in the vessels. The last decade has been marked by a completely new approach to solving problems associated with impaired blood filling.

Abstract Hematopoietic stem cell [HSC] therapy has its origins as hematological rescue following marrow ablative high-dose therapy for refractory cancers and myelodysplastic syndromes. In its simplest form, bone marrow is collected from a tissue-matched related normal donor and intravenously infused into the patient who has usually received high-dose chemo/radiotherapy for his or her disease. The stem cells migrate to the marrow spaces, where they multiply and differentiate to restore blood cell-forming activity and immune defenses in the recipient Restrictions in the availability of tissue-ma
