Cu-sil dentures are a newer type of transitional denture. Cu-sil is the most straightforward and gentle removable partial denture available. Its a tissue-bearing acrylic denture with a soft elastomeric seal that holds the natural tooths neck in place, keeping food and fluids out while cushioning and splinting each natural tooth from the hard acrylic denture base.Cu-sil dentures are made to preserve the alveolar bone by preserving the remaining natural teeth. This case report demonstrates an alternative method for fabricating Cu-sillike dentures.

The prime concern of the present-day dentistry is to preserve the tooth, alveolar ridge integrity and periodontium. The treatment option for patients with few teeth include overdentures, immediate dentures or transitional dentures. Transitional dentures are better treatment options as most of the patients defer getting all their teeth extracted. A relatively new type of transitional denture is Cu-sil denture. It is essentially a complete denture with holes which may or may not be lined with rubber gasket, allowing remaining natural teeth to protrude through. This case report represents a simpl

In most instances there is a need for irreversible alteration in the remaining hard tissue during a prosthodontics treatment. Preservation of natural teeth is gaining importance in dentistry in the present time. Preservation of natural teeth is the current primary concern in dentistry. The presence of few teeth in the oral cavity aids in the preservation of alveolar ridge integrity, the maintenance of proprioception, and the patient's psychological well-being. A Cu-sil denture is a novel alternative treatment option for those who desire to replace their lost teeth while retaining their few remaining teeth. This case study describes an alternate procedure for making Cu-sil-like denture in the maxilla and traditional cast partial denture (CPD) in the mandibular arch.

Introduction: Aesthetics plays a vital role in the treatment of completely edentulous patients. Modern prosthodontics goes beyond merely replacing missing teeth, with a strong focus on improving facial aesthetics. One of the significant concerns is the loss of support to the facial musculature, leading to sunken cheeks due to flaccid facial muscles. This change in facial appearance not only affects the aesthetics but also impacts the psychological well-being of the patient.
