The problem of the Babyne Culture’s origin has been repeatedly raised by Ukrainian scientists. Thus, in the literature you can find about a dozen versions of Babyne’s cultural genesis 2018). The article highlights that the modern idea of the cultural landscape is ambiguous. Today, there are three fundamentally different interpretations of the term "cultural landscape", based on different dominant factors: natural, cultural or information environment. Thus, some researchers adhere to the traditional approach and define a cultural landscape as an anthropogenic landscape, i.e. a natural landscape of a place, changed by a person according to a certain programme, which has high aesthetic and functional qualities. The other approach is based on the understanding of a cultural landscape

Abstract:
This working paper aims to situate our research project within the various debates around resilience. It advocates a historical, cultural and plural approach to understanding how communities develop and share resilient practices in contexts of multiple and protracted crises. A focus on ‘vernacular’ resilience, as embedded in social practices and cultural repertoires, is important since conventional approaches to resilience seem to have overlooked how locally embedded forms of resilience are socially constructed historically. Our approach results from a combination of two observations. Firstly,

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to gain an understanding of the in vitro regeneration process in watermelon and melon to enable the development of genetic transformation systems. The objectives were met and additional progress, unplanned during the original proposal, was made. Organogenic regeneration in vitro was studied in both melon and watermelon. Genotype played a significant role in regeneration. In melon, epidermal cells were responsible for most regeneration. Methods to obtain in vitro-derived watermelon tetraploids, needed for seedless varieties, were developed. The culture systems we
