Abstract:
Carpet art holds a unique and significant place in the material culture of all Central Asian peoples, reflecting centuries of tradition, skill, and aesthetic values deeply embedded in the region's history. Carpet weaving in Central Asia dates back thousands of years and is deeply intertwined with the nomadic and semi-nomadic lifestyles of the region's peoples. Historical evidence suggests that carpet-making began as early as the Bronze Age, evolving through interactions with various cultures and empires, including the Persian, Mongol, and Ottoman empires. Each Central Asian nation, from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, boasts distinctive carpet styles that serve as cultural identifiers. These carpets are not merely decorative items but carry profound symbolic meanings, encapsulating stories, beliefs, and traditions passed down through generations. The editorial aims to provide a detailed description of Indian Handmade carpets. It indicates the technical, patterned, and decorative attributes of the Indian carpets. The paper provides an overview of the significance of Carpets historically and in the new times. Carpets are believed to be integral to important life events such as weddings, funerals, and festivals. Carpets are often given as dowries, symbolizing the weaver's skill and the family's status. They also serve as a form of communication and expression, with each piece encapsulating the weaver’s identity and the community’s collective memory

Abstract:
The article examines the peculiarities of using industry identifiers in ergonyms - names of restaurants and cafés in Harbin and Chongqing, China. The study’s relevance lies in the fact that research on ergonyms, particularly in the Russian academic space, predominantly focuses on proper names, while industry identifiers, as an important component of these names, often remain overlooked. However, studying their lexical, grammatical, and word-formation features is important, considering the traditions of Chinese nomenclature and legal requirements for company names in China. This study analyses the structure of ergonyms, their functions, classification, and the influence of cultural, historical, and linguistic factors on naming. The material for the study consists of 544 ergonyms collected through a random sampling method. The author identifies four key categories of industry identifiers: with temporal markers, using foreign vocabulary, with archaic words in new meanings, and with modern vocabulary in new meanings. The results show that in Chongqing, archaic terms and foreign borrowings are actively used in ergonymic nominations, while in Harbin, namers of restaurants and cafés remain committed to traditional Chinese identifiers. The conclusions emphasise the importance of industry identifiers in the process of ergonym nomination as indicators of cultural and social changes in the urban linguistic environment.

Abstract:
The historical role of phone numbers as primary communication identifiers is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by technological advancements and evolving user demands. While phone numbers have traditionally facilitated personal and professional interactions, their limitations, including privacy vulnerabilities and declining utility in digital ecosystems, are increasingly apparent. Emerging alternatives such as unified digital identities, app-based communication platforms, and biometric authentication methods offer enhanced privacy, security, and user experience. Technologies like IoT, AI, and blockchain are further accelerating this transition by enabling seamless device interactions, personalized communication, and secure identity verification without reliance on static identifiers. However, the shift faces significant challenges, including infrastructure dependency, cultural resistance, and the need for cohesive regulatory frameworks. Despite these barriers, the decline of traditional phone numbers is anticipated by 2030, as digital identifiers gain prominence across industries, fostering global connectivity and inclusivity. This transition heralds a profound redefinition of societal communication practices, emphasizing innovation while ensuring equitable access to emerging technologies.

Abstract:
In social psychology, the background assumption of most of the research on cultural diversity ideologies is that multiculturalism is not in the interest of majority group members while colourblindness is. However, this assumption may not hold in a context in which multiculturalism benefits the majority group. Two studies investigated the association between multiculturalism and in-group bias amongst Hindu majority members in Mauritius. In Study 1, survey data showed that those who highly identified as Hindus reported less bias when they endorsed multiculturalism. Using an experimental design, Study 2 demonstrated that higher compared to lower majority group identifiers showed stronger in-group bias in colourblindness, polyculturalism, and control conditions, but not in a multiculturalism condition. In contrast to the existing research conducted in Western countries, these findings demonstrate that multiculturalism rather than colourblindness can be reassuring for high majority group identifiers. It is concluded that the meaning and impact of cultural diversity ideologies for intergroup relations depend on the national context.

Abstract:
Four studies were conducted to test whether assimilation ideology affects majority group members’ attitudes towards ethnic minorities. Assimilation affirms and justifies the identity of majority groups and highly-identified group members are motivated to think and behave in the ingroup’s best interest. Therefore, it was expected that assimilation would make higher identifiers more negative. The first two studies focused on the individual endorsement of assimilation and the other two used an experimental design to encourage participants to think in terms of assimilation. Results in all four studies show that assimilation is related to more negative outgroup attitudes, especially for higher majority group identifiers. The findings are discussed in relation to attempts to rethink and rehabilitate assimilation theory, and to other ideologies for dealing with cultural diversity.

Abstract:
In three studies, we examined whether ingroup disparaging humor leads to greater stereotyping of the ingroup. First, in Study 1, ( N = 101) university students were exposed to (a) ingroup disparaging humor, (b) neutral humor, or (c) ingroup disparaging nonhumorous text. Participants exposed to disparaging humor reported more stereotypic evaluations than those in the neutral humor or disparaging text condition. Study 2 ( N = 167) replicated these findings with humor conditions (disparaging vs. neutral) and showed that ingroup identification moderated the effects of the type of humor. Low identifiers exposed to ingroup disparaging humor (vs. those in the control condition) reported a greater frequency of stereotypic evaluations, whereas the manipulation did not affect high identifiers. Finally, Study 3 ( N = 153) also manipulated the source of the jokes. As in Study 2, we found an interaction effect showing that high identifiers were not affected by the manipulation, whereas for low identifiers disparaging humor increased stereotyping and led to more negative emotions toward the ingroup. No significant effects were found for source of the jokes. We discuss findings in terms of how the traditional pattern of humor facilitating outgroup stereotyping also seems to apply to ingroup stereotyping.

Abstract:
The subject of the paper is post-Yugoslav countercultural identity engineering as an ideological construct of left-liberal Euro-Atlantic totalitarianism. The author studies the subject through the analysis of a model of countercultural action directed against the basic identifiers of Serbian cultural identity - Svetosavlje as the Othodox Cristians philosophy of life derived from the teaching of Saint Sava, whose spiritual creation is a centuries-oldvalue system, and the Cyrillic script of the Serbian language through which the Serbian people communicate the Saint Sava worldview. The aim of the research is to understand and explain the way of thinking and action of neoliberal Euro-Atlantic totalitarianism in the area of the former Yugoslavia based on theoretical sources, analysis of empirical data, media texts, internet presentations and weblogs. The results of the historical-comparative analysis of Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav identity engineering show that a key role in the process is played by the hybrid model ?double of the state? which assumes the role of a cultural hegemon. Model operates on the principle of ?divide and rule? by antagonizing existing political and cultural identities to impose a set of beliefs about gender identity with devastating consequences for society as a whole. For expansion of left-liberal Euro-Atlantic totalitarianism to the poscommunist Europe after the breakup of Yugoslavia, the ?double of the state? model was necessary in order to remove all the subversive contents of cultural identity. This especially refers to the key identifiers of the Serbian cultural identity, which the comunist - ateist ideology of Yugoslavia perceived as a threat due to the alleged ?Greater Serbian hegemony and nationalism?, and has already pushed it out of public life to a significant extent. Thus, the post -Yugoslav left-liberal ideology found its natural ally in neoliberal Euro-Atlantic countercultural transculturalism.

Abstract:
Names serve as more than mere identifiers; they embody cultural values, identity formation, and societal norms. This study examines the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western naming conventions, exploring how these practices reflect broader cultural, historical, and religious influences. Drawing on the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, the research investigates how language—and consequently names—shapes worldviews and social structures. In China, naming conventions often emphasize familial ties, cultural heritage, and philosophical principles rooted in Confucian values and ancient traditions. In contrast, Western naming practices tend to prioritize individualism and personal expression, reflecting values of freedom and equality. The study highlights the importance of names in shaping identities and social interactions, particularly in a globalized context. Understanding these distinctions promotes intercultural dialogue and enhances mutual respect between Chinese and Western cultures. The findings suggest that names function as cultural markers, bridging personal identity with collective heritage, and tradition with modernity.

Abstract:
This research delves into the Gubang dance, a traditional art form originating from Tanjungbalai Asahan, North Sumatra. It centers on investigating its origins, functions, development, and preservation challenges. The research employs fieldwork and interviews with traditional arts experts to gather reliable data. The findings uncover that the Gubang dance holds profound significance as a symbol of unity and gratitude within Asahan's cultural tapestry. Its graceful, dynamic movements mirror the beauty of Indonesian culture, necessitating preservation efforts. However, the Gubang dance grapples with challenges, notably waning interest among younger generations. In response, the research underscores the imperative of promoting and preserving the Gubang dance. Such initiatives are pivotal to ensure it doesn't fade into obscurity, remaining an integral facet of invaluable cultural heritage. This study validates the importance of traditional dances as regional cultural identifiers and emphasizes the need for concrete actions to safeguard this cultural wealth for continued relevance and vitality.

Abstract:
This study examines the relationship between Arizona’s anti-Latina/o policies and changing patterns of racial self-identification for students at the University of Arizona. Using institutional data and the university’s Entering Student Survey, we explored trends in racial/ethnic self-identification between two cohorts of students: one before and one after the summer of 2010 (passage of SB1070, HB2281, and Proposition 107). Descriptive analyses revealed that both White and Latina/o students declined to state a racial/ethnic background at substantially higher rates after the passages of the bills. After the passage of the legislation, Latina/os used “Mexican” identifiers at substantially lower rates and “White” identifiers at substantially higher rates. Implications are discussed for racial/ethnic self-identification and higher education practice.

Abstract:
The ethnic question has been central to the historical process of nation-state building or “nationalization” in Mexico (Adams 1967). To a significant degree, this process has been a criollo and a mestizo project (Aguirre Beltrán 1976; compare Anderson 1983, 1988). Accordingly, indígena identity has been imposed on the non-criollo and non-mestizo population by the Mexican state, with the identification process historically displaying arbitrariness and inconsistency across a range of biological identifiers (especially phenotype) or cultural identifiers (especially language) or both (Marino Flores 1967). Following colonial precedents and in step with the evolving structure of political economy and society, the process of ethnic identification in postcolonial Mexico associated Hispanicity (via white skin color or Spanish descent or Spanish language) with the more valued locations higher in the ethno-class hierarchy and indígena identity with the lower, less-valued locations. In postrevolutionary Mexico, thanks to the contribution of anthropologist Manuel Gamio, the concept of mestizaje was stripped of biological content and culturized.

A study tested the effects of mirror-induced self-focus on participants tendency to self-stereotype. Americans high and low in identification with their nationality rated themselves and the group “Americans on traits that varied in stereotypicality and valence. Participants made these ratings under one of three conditions: (1) while facing a mirror, (2) while facing a mirror with an American flag visible, and (3) while not facing a mirror. High identifiers were more likely to endorse stereotypic traits and to rate themselves as similar to their national group when self-focused. In contrast, low identifiers were less likely to endorse stereotypic traits and to rate themselves as similar to their national group when self-focused. These patterns were limited to traits negative in valence. Correlational analyses indicated that self/group ratings were most similar when high identifiers were self-focused. Implications for the distinction between personal and social identity are discussed.

Abstract:
Climate change in Nigeria has created a substantial human population movement and expanding design concepts due to ecological effects. It has necessitated constant research on ways of solving human needs in order to survive. One of those needs is a cultural practice that has been diversified by industrial production, occasioning loss of some natural materials, to build properties and costumes that can meet a large population demand. Using the direct observation, interview, historical-analytic and investigative approaches, this article posits that given the circumstances of climate change, there are elements of cultural diversification between the Bura and Tiv people that can be identified using performance properties and costumes. The conclusion is that climate change has increased creativity, accessibility, saved time, energy, and cost of consumption as well as increased durability of stage design materials among the studied ethnicities.

Abstract:
Linked Open Data (LOD) was designed to respect heterogeneity in source datasets. However, the fundamental mechanisms of interlinking require sameness without nuance, so Linked Data is at risk of the problems associated with lack of diversity in big data generally. This article investigates the tension between difference and sameness specifically as it relates to asserting the identity of entities. It links ambiguity in natural language and cultural expression to Derrida's notion of différance and the foundation of Linked Data structure in Peircian semiotics. Representing entities so as to foreground rather than suppress subtle differences or ambiguity is a challenge given the lack of anything in between owl:sameAs and owl:differentFrom that can be supported by formal logic. The reuse of Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) recommended as a best practice for data interlinking is troubled by confusion over the relationship between URIs and representation, whereas owl:sameAs suffers from a range of forms of misuse. Despite these challenges to representing nuance and ambiguity, however, there are several ways in which humanities researchers and cultural institutions can pursue better means of representing diversity and difference using LOD, particularly through interdisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration.

Abstract:
The modern media text is considered as one of the markers of the urban identity crisis. Since the 1960s there has been an active social movement for the preservation of cultural monuments in Irkutsk. The importance of historical toponyms for the city identity is generally recognized in the professional and cultural sphere. This provided an opportunity to manifest the theme of toponymic restoration. The wave of partial toponymic restoration in historical Russian cities in the 1990s was completely ignored by the Irkutsk authorities, and there were just a few cases of opportunistic renaming of godonyms beyond it. In the contemporary crisis processes, media acts through media texts as identifiers, crisis markers, informants, conflict producers, the space of crisis manifestations and the medium of conflict propagation.

Visual identifiers of urban culture are recognizable by all images, largely marking it. They reflect the basic values and meanings of urban culture, its phenomena, and atmosphere. The identification of these markers, the analysis of their changes in historical dynamics, is an important issue not only for fixing the historical and cultural identity of territories and cities, but also to predict their development in the near and possibly long term. The article analyzes the visual urban identity of the cities of the Russian North, including images of historical heraldry, as well as modern brands. Abstract:
In this qualitative study, we ask how 40 rural educators of English learners (ELs) culturally position themselves and their students. We obtained data through a cultural autobiography assignment that prompted teachers to describe their interactions and relationships with others. Drawing on both rural and non-rural experiences, teachers established their ability to exercise agency, mediated by individual histories and beliefs and the context of their rural settings. Teachers developed their capacity to reflect on the ways they position themselves toward their ELs, a crucial first step in creating culturally sustaining pedagogy. Implications point to the potential of cultural autobiography as a means to heighten rural teachers’ awareness of how their experiences and interactions nuance their cultural identity. Such reflections can expand notions of culture beyond common social identifiers and enable teachers to forge links with their students that would otherwise not be apparent. We suggest this autobiographical process is particularly important for rural teachers who are new to teaching ELs in their classrooms.

Abstract:
The ethnic Chinese in Vietnam and Thailand share certain similarities and comparable migration histories. However, differences have emerged due to distinct national policies and the varying processes of cultural adaptation and coexistence in each country. The Chinese community in Southeast Asia presents a complex and diverse case, not only because they exist as an ethnic group today but also because they historically held the status of foreign nationals in many countries. Chinese names and surnames are not merely personal identifiers; they are also deeply tied to ethnic identity through the lens of nationality. Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of comparative research and identity studies, this article examines the similarities in typologies and the differences in naming practices among ethnic Chinese in Vietnam and Thailand, using documented sources. It explores the causes of these similarities and differences, offering insights into community structures and collective thought. The study concludes with lessons for national governance, culturally appropriate engagement, and fostering mainstream identities within these communities.

Abstract:
In the present scientific era which prefers evidence-based educational research and methodological gold standards, ‘rigour’, ‘discipline’ and the ‘systematic’ serve as standardising and homogenising concepts and as powerful identifiers of ‘normal science’ in the context of historical and cultural contingencies. These concepts serve to construct disciplinary identities and, furthermore, have the power to define what counts as rigour, discipline and the systematic – and what not. The article starts with the problems of terminology and shows that rigour, discipline and the systematic are rather vague and ambivalent concepts, especially when considering their meaning in different languages and cultures. The second part uses different foci of several theoretical approaches in order to show the meaning and functions of rigour, discipline and the systematic for constructing educational research identities and to explain different notions of these concepts in different research cultures. The final part considers the future and argues for the strengthening of a transversal, (meta-)reflexive and communicative dimension which both opens and limits the forms and formats of educational research employing diversity and intercultural communication as a valuable and powerful resource of sound scholarly research, mutual understanding and intellectual delight.

Abstract:
In the face of escalating threats to Armenian cultural heritage in Artsakh due to armed conflicts and destruction, urgent measures are imperative to safeguard this invaluable legacy. The Digital Humanities Institute at the EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland) is leading an effort to digitize the Armenian epigraphic heritage in Artsakh, where inscriptions and toponyms serve as cultural identifiers. Documenting endangered inscriptions and using the <origin>, <origPlace> and <provenance> tags safeguard historical integrity. Integrating GeoNames and Pleiades enhances accessibility and accuracy, bridging perspectives and preserving heritage. The project's bilingual nature amplifies complexity, as English and Armenian representations are layered with intricate grammar nuances. Lemmatization and regularization ensure consistent proper names, particularly across diverse grammatical cases. In a landscape where cultural heritage preservation is needed, the marriage of external resources, Armenian toponyms, lemmatization and regularization ensures historical accuracy and accessibility. This academic set-up clarifies the methodologies and standards used, emphasizing the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage through digital epigraphy. The set-up of the corpus allows for future enrichment by incorporating additional inscriptions, more detailed historical background information and etymological clarifications about the toponyms. This flexibility ensures that the corpus can continue to grow and provide comprehensive insights into the cultural heritage of Artsakh.

Abstract:
Saving problem of important cultural, historical and natural heritage always remains relevant. The main problem of the research is to study the growth points of a new ideology of space in the cultural landscape of Kazakhstan. The overcoming of thinking forced styles of the Soviet era opens up the prospects for the formation of a new ideology of space and the renationalization of identifiers as the steppe memory, national cultural code and sacred places. The new ideology development of space at the initial stages of Independence had a more spontaneous character of “people’s canonization”; initiators were as a rule the patriotic citizens. In 2017, the state is implementing the national project “Sacred Geography of Kazakhstan” aimed at the restoration of historical and cultural territories, sacred places and commemoration of historical memory. According to the project, sacred places can and should become growth points of national consciousness uniting the nation around the living history. The article considers sacred places as a recreational space of the cultural landscape. The authors propose classification types of sacred places that should contribute to the accumulation of all layers of national identification into a single whole. In addition, based on the classification methodology of sacred places, the authors of the article have attempted the typology through the prism of axiology, differs from the developed criteria for the special project selection.

Abstract:
The article identifies priorities for developing digital tourism products in Ukraine’s post-war recovery, emphasizing the need for secure communication between consumers and providers. The prevailing focus on conventional tourism services in current tourism cash flows is set to be complemented by the potential offered by digital infrastructure and virtual tourism, which are identified as promising avenues for innovation and cultural preservation. The restoration of tourism infrastructure should be primarily guided by the prevalence of physical or virtual travel, as indicated by a strategic matrix proposed for assessing recreational potential in de-occupied territories. The issues of post-war zoning of Ukraine are discussed, which typically categorizes areas as unoccupied, liberated, or active conflict zones that are insufficient for local route planning and safety assessments. Recreational cadastres, now essential for ensuring visitor safety, must list suitable areas and facilities with unique identifiers and geographic coordinates mapped digitally. The article proposes a range of tourism types for different territories, emphasizing a strategic approach to recovery predicated on fluctuations in the popularity of diverse tourism products and geographical areas. Key words: digital tourism, post-war reconstruction, zoning of recreational areas, strategy matrix, directions of tourism development.

Abstract:
The paper deals with the use of mythical contents of Serbian national identity and stereotypes about Serbs in different kinds of public discourses; publicist. political and scientific. Mythical content and stereotypes are related to 'comprehensive image of the Serbian people', not to empirically testable particular identifiers. Moreover, vague stories about Serbian national being have epistemological priority over unambiguous descriptions of common collective ways of life. This feature of its usage make national myths suitable for political and cultural propaganda. They are a powerful tool for social control and manipulation. Political and cultural elites are reluctant to abandon abuses of mythical aspects in maintaining their positions. The aim of the proposed research is to identify particular abuses of mythical aspects in Serbian public discourse and disclose their historical sources, as well as to opt for a reassessment of Serbian national identity through open and scientifically grounded public discussion.

Abstract:
Discrimination of immigrant groups is an important social problem in many societies around the world. This study examines the moderating role of cultural diversity beliefs on the relation between dual identity and the intention to protest against immigrants’ discrimination. An experimental study was conducted among national samples of the three main immigrant-origin groups in the Netherlands. It was found that dual identity predicted the intention to protest against discrimination more strongly within a context of multicultural recognition compared to a context of assimilation or interculturalism. This demonstrates that multicultural recognition is a facilitating condition for dual identifiers to get involved in collective action for social change.

Abstract:
The figure of Pinocchio recurs in Virgilio Sieni’s choreographic production, for the imagery the character evokes and for the questions that its dual puppetry and human nature raises. Its variations are analyzed in respect to Sieni’s choreographic cycle on the fairy tale, where Pinocchio appears in multiple performances, and to the piece ‘Pinocchio. Leggermente diverso’ (2012), interpreted by the blind dancer Giuseppe Comuniello. Based on first-hand research, this essay shows the deconstructive variations Pinocchio undergoes in these works and the meta-discursive level traversing these choreographies, which lead to a renewed cultural reading of Pinocchio that shifts its core identifiers from loneliness and diversity to relationality and otherness.

Full text
Abstract:
As the global cosmetics market expands rapidly, the importance of cultural sensitivity in advertising becomes evident. However, certain brand names used internationally may unintentionally offend specific audiences due to linguistic and cultural differences. This study examines the perceptions and attitudes of 770 Saudi individuals toward brand names deemed inappropriate or provocative within the Saudi sociocultural context. The research aims to shed light on the implications for intercultural advertising targeting Saudi consumers. The findings reveal strong negative reactions to brand names with sexual references, with respondents using terms such as "disgusting," "shocking," and "shameless" in their descriptions. The study also highlights the impact of these names on religious and moral values cherished in Saudi society. The implications for international cosmetic companies targeting Gulf consumers include careful consideration of name translations and connotations in Arabic-speaking markets, involvement of local expertise in advertising campaigns, and enhanced cultural sensitivity training for marketing professionals operating abroad. This research contributes to the understanding of intercultural advertising and provides insights for improving cultural competence in English language education, particularly in the context of teaching English for advertising. By raising awareness of these issues, appropriate choices of brand identifiers can be discussed to benefit both businesses and target audiences.

Abstract:
The subject of this research is the content and form of preservation and conveyance of traditional culture as the key marker of ethnic identity of the Circumpolar peoples. The article provides the results of field research conducted in 2020 in the Anabar National (Dolgan-Evenki) Ulus of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), particularly of the rural locality Yuryung-Khaya, which is the only settlement in Yakutia populated mostly by Dolgans. Cultural landscape of this region, which includes ethnic and linguistic cultures of Dolgans, Evenks, Evens, Nganasans, Enets, and Nenets is characterized by mutual influence of longtime ethnocultural contacts and their reflection in the cultural traditions. Analysis of the results of sociological survey demonstrates that the majority of respondents (60.2%) believe that the choice of nationality is determined by culture and traditions, native language (26.9%), history and territory (10.4%). The results of quantitative and qualitative sociological research (questionnaire, unstructured interview, psycholinguistic experiments), as well as the analysis of modern scientific studies, allow concluding on the leading positions of culture and traditions as the fundamental identifiers of ethnicity, and determinant role of traditional economic and cultural types of activity in the process of ethnic self-identification of the indigenous peoples.

Abstract:
Widespread discourse about the Holocaust entered American popular culture in the seventies in two main ways: a series of television shows that purportedly focused on the destruction of European Judaism and two books that dealt specifically with the children of survivors. The television miniseries, Gerald Green's Holocaust (1978), suited the national need for simplified history and melodrama. Moreover, given the American penchant for ethnic identifiers, Holocaust became known as the Jewish Roots. The networks soon aired other Holocaust programs, including Herman Wouk's far less commercially successful The Winds of War. The resultant Holocaust discourse was frequently poorly informed and historically naive. On the one hand, it reflected a tendency in Western culture to think that the Holocaust ended definitively in 1945. On the other hand, this discourse frequently neutralized the evil of nazism.

Abstract:
A central tenet in support of research reproducibility is the ability to uniquely identify research resources, i.e., reagents, tools, and materials that are used to perform experiments. However, current reporting practices for research resources are insufficient to allow humans and algorithms to identify the exact resources that are reported or answer basic questions such as “What other studies used resource X?” To address this issue, the Resource Identification Initiative was launched as a pilot project to improve the reporting standards for research resources in the methods sections of papers and thereby improve identifiability and reproducibility. The pilot engaged over 25 biomedical journal editors from most major publishers, as well as scientists and funding officials. Authors were asked to include Research Resource Identifiers (RRIDs) in their manuscripts prior to publication for three resource types: antibodies, model organisms, and tools (including software and databases). RRIDs represent accession numbers assigned by an authoritative database, e.g., the model organism databases, for each type of resource. To make it easier for authors to obtain RRIDs, resources were aggregated from the appropriate databases and their RRIDs made available in a central web portal (www.scicrunch.org/resources). RRIDs meet three key criteria: they are machine readable, free to generate and access, and are consistent across publishers and journals. The pilot was launched in February of 2014 and over 300 papers have appeared that report RRIDs. The number of journals participating has expanded from the original 25 to more than 40. Here, we present an overview of the pilot project and its outcomes to date. We show that authors are generally accurate in performing the task of identifying resources and supportive of the goals of the project. We also show that identifiability of the resources pre- and post-pilot showed a dramatic improvement for all three resource types, suggesting that the project has had a significant impact on reproducibility relating to research resources.

Objective: To identify the main elements that give rise to school bullying and address the issue of bullying within current education. Method: A qualitative approach was adopted, which included a systematic review based on the PRISMA methodology. An exhaustive analysis of information was conducted using the databases: Scielo, EBSCO, Psycnet, PubMED, PsycInfo, Dialnet, and the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), yielding 12 primary articles. The selected identifiers were: "bullying," "educational environment," "education," "interpersonal skills," "psychopedagogy." The work was carried out during the months of August, September, and October 2024. Results: Among the main elements that give rise to school bullying are the family’s psycho-affective development history, hereditary and predisposing factors for aggression, historical-socio-cultural environment, gender identity, and disabilities, which should be addressed through cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotive-rational therapy, and an ecological-philosophical approach. Conclusion: The presence of these negative elements within the psychological, social, educational, cultural, and global development fields of contemporary society implies a setback in terms of human rights and personal freedom, as it conditions and aggresses an individual's sense of self in various ways.

Abstract:
As a fashion style, the old money style itself has a clear aristocratic class attribute, but with the re-division of social classes, class stratification tends to be obvious, the old money style is actually characterized by a dual quality of "distinguishing and blurring" among its followers. Therefore, this study focuses on the typical element of the old money style: "ivy", and aims to explore how ivy elements serve as cultural symbols of identity and class mobility, providing explicit identifiers for new and old class identities. Through the study of Bourdieu theory, leisure class theory, rites of passage theory analysis. The research results show that both the old and the new money classes have a belief in "noble spirit" and attach importance to "elite education institute and degree awarding ceremony", while the Ivy element is defined as the typical expression of cultural capital and a powerful visualize tool for realizing "identity" and "class transcendence" : As class travelers, the new money class has the shame of birth and the psychology of upward worship. They first accumulate the cultural capital of their descendants through economic capital, and then exchange the cultural capital with economic and social capital to integrate into the old money class. The offspring of the old money class have a youthful and energetic expression of fashion and life, and are more rebellious and eager to break away from the family and realize real personality independence and freedom. They are eager to exchange cultural capital for the rationalization of economic and social capital acquired by nature, and promote the aspirational class.

Abstract:
Mette Kia Krabbe Meyer and Eld Zierau: Spitting Image. Press photographs and memes as digital cultural heritage in Netarkivet
This article deals with the challenges that confront libraries in their efforts to collect and make available national cultural heritage to researchers in today’s hybrid media society. The authors illustrate their arguments with a case study: Sigrid Nygaard’s photograph of a man spitting down on to immigrants from its initial appearance in a Tweet of 2015 to its reproduction in the national and international and social media, a field which also includes the many memes it engendered. The authors describe how the photograph became part of a heated debate on immigration policies and media ethics and suggest different academic fields in which the material can be studied, such as political science and media studies. They investigate a selection of sources and describe how these were collected by Netarkivet as part of the library’s obligation under the Legal Deposit Act, thereby providing insights into the different methods of finding and collecting material from the internet. Finally they argue that commonly known referencing practices are insufficient when it comes to web archive materials in general and point to a newly emerging referencing practice using so-called Persistent Web IDentifiers (PWID), which enable researchers to create precise and persistent references to web archive resources. The research was carried out to ensure that such materials would be saved and would continue to be available to researchers, to investigate and contribute to new collection methods, to cite digital cultural heritage, and to inform researchers about Netarkivet’s resources and ways in which one can work academically with the materials the archive contains.

Abstract:
The investigation of cultural heritage is a continuous process, in which a large scale of metadata is gradually accumulated, i.e., condition data, intervention data, and the comprehension of building techniques. We take the roof tile of Yangxindian Palace as an example. The total number of roof tiles is 17,154. Their positions are various, as they are equally distributed on double-curved irregular surfaces. Their metadata are multisource and heterogeneous. Therefore, the integration between the model and the data can be complex. This paper aims to generate the M1 (metalevel) model with its graph database based on the M3 (metalevel) model through algorithm modeling. This synergy approach consists of three parts. First is the data collection. The unique identifier is used as the index while investigating onsite, which eventually forms the metadata repository. Second is the algorithm modeling. All the roof tiles are rebuilt in Grasshopper with identifiers. Their metadata are merged through Cypher syntax, which can generate the graph database in Neo4j. Third is the delivery. The IFC model and knowledge graph are connected in real time during the whole process. The significance of this paper is to provide a synergy approach and discuss its efficiency for the integration between a model and data of very large quantities. The results show that it is efficient to express the semantic relationships of both conditions and interventions. It is practicable to lightweight the IFC model and to associate metadata into the graph database, enabling online browsing and querying.

This article takes an intergroup communication perspective to conceptualizing language-related issues in multilingual multinational corporations (MNCs). Language is one of the most salient identifiers of individuals and groups as well as an integral aspect of self-concept. Managers of multilingual teams and MNCs, where speakers of different first languages must rely on mutual interactions to achieve common goals, are likely to deal with communication challenges among many other managerial concerns. Adopting a corporate common language (CCL) provides MNCs benefits, such as efficiency and coherence, from standardizing employees’ use of language. Yet, the fact that a certain language is viewed as “standard” or common—and others as “nonstandard” and uncommon—can potentially create tensions between native and nonnative speakers of it. To increase scholarly attention to this topic, we discuss topics related to language attitudes that can affect communication processes in multilingual MNCs. The implications of, and organizational benefits for, sensitizing managers of MNCs that have adopted a CCL approach to these intergroup dynamics are discussed. We conclude the article with future research agenda for cross-cultural management researchers facing the global environment in which organizational, cultural, and sectoral boundaries are increasingly blurred and multilingualism impacts both internal and external functions of organizations.

Abstract:
Introduction: Large disparities exist in smoking rates during pregnancy by racial/ethnic status. Aims: The current review examined controlled studies that predominantly included racial/ethnic-minority pregnant smokers for providing smoking cessation treatment. Methods: Two authors independently conducted the literature searches in the standard databases using a combination of the keywords with minority, pregnancy, smoking and cessation identifiers. Results: The searches identified nine articles that met the inclusion criteria. Only two studies exclusively targeted specific minority groups. Most of them provided some form of brief smoking cessation counselling, with two combining with incentives and one combining with pharmacotherapy. Two studies provided intensive cognitive interventions. Pregnant smokers of American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic subgroups, and Asian or Pacific Islander are under-studied. Conclusions: Future studies to treat minority pregnant smokers could target under-studied minority groups and may need to directly and intensely target smoking behaviour, address cultural and psychosocial issues in an individualised and comprehensive manner, and analyse the cost-benefit of an intervention.
