Full textFor about fifteen years in France, we have assisted, with a return in strength of “the colonial history”, stimulated by burning hot memory questions, like those of the war of Algeria, the Atlantic draft, slavery in the Antilles, as many topics become classical of a trend with the colonial repentance.Obviously eager to think the integration of the memory of colonization of the national identity, the general public is thus left touched by the rediscovery of the colonial past of France, in particular by the means of film productions like Empire of the medium of the South of the scenario writer Éric Deroo, who recalls the history of the Viêt - Nam and French Indo-China.These initiatives incarnate forms of persistence of the history of the relations between France and its ex-empire, but also a will to transmit the memory without limiting it to the only colonial conflicts. They contribute to maintain a kind of emotional tie of the French towards their old colonies.By reactivating their memory, Western companies, and the French company in particular, thus ask the question of the returns effects of the colonial time on the current definition of the national identities. If colonialism is often regarded as a form of circulation to one way, metropolises towards their colonies, the evolution from the points of view and the historical research allow the examination of the influence of colonization in Europe, nowadays, but also during the colonial period. This circulation empire-metropolis is indicated by the expressions “returns effects” or “effects of reverberation”, which relate to in particular circulations of representations.In the line of recent university work, which proposes various regional approaches of the phenomena of reception and appropriation of the colonial fact, this work proposes the study in the way in which phenomena of cultural opening related to the colonial expansion take place with a regional scale, whereas, for a long time, following work of the historian Raoul Girardet, the national scale was privileged.This work tends to check the assumption of the construction of the identity of people of North, inside the nation, by integrating the influence of the colonial expansion. The American historian Herman Lebovics helps us to refine this assumption when it affirms in true France, that there exist parallels between the average employees by the French powers to gain the honesty of a subjugated foreign population, and the cultural device set up to cause the honesty of the French people.He evokes in particular the preserving ethnology, which draws the attention of the authorities to the need to preserve the colonial cultures and to revive the regional cultures, in the condition of not generating political claims going against the existence of a centralized State, resulting from the revolutionary tradition jacobine.This research plans to appreciate the returns effects of the construction of colonial empire towards a region of the metropolis and its inhabitants, by studying the changes of management of the “glance” and the widening of the scales, of the room to the national then room with the empire. The change of focal distance thus allows a study, which examines local realities and problems and defines a specific reception and an appropriation of the imperial fact, the exaltation of the empire becoming at the same time an element of the local identity and an element of integration of the area to one national identity

This is a replay of three novels by putting the index on the need to review fiction production from the colonial period and render to these novels their literacy. It shows how the novels of our corpus (hill forgotten mammeri, earth and the blood of feraoun and the malediction of haddadi) can perceive different mutations in the socio-political system of the colony as well as psychological mutations caused by scholars of french colonises and their emigration to factories and mines in france at schools. Colonises are in a transitional phase between the old world made of their traditional culture prior to colonization and inputs from contact with the civilization of colonizer. Forces in society are therefore addendum and colonised both men and women entering the epoch of modernism. However, at the time where a new period originates, former world with its values and its harmony starts to crumble. Thesis also takes into consideration issues of literacy, language and own fiction like a maghreb french-language literature. It's to see how novelists have reconciled their literary project with their political ones. The thesis closes with a launched call to algerian literature specialists in order to provide a new reading and a fresh look at the novels from the colonial period

Full textThe objective of this works is to study the father and child relationship the tribe "kaanda" and "sala". The first part of this work studies the relationship between the "beembe" and its neighbours of the soil ( yaari, teke, minkeege and laali) and its limitraphic neighbours (doondo, kaamba, hangala). For a better undrestanding of a production system based on commmunity method of "kaanda" concept from african perspective. We have also introduced beembe point of view which is nothing but a maginal enlargement of african vision. The second part of this work treats the beembe production from social organisational perspective. We conceptualize the extension of "kaanda" or "kamiakana-diakaanda". A concept which radically opposes the one that was sequentally elaborated while exploring the same field of studies of authors like g. Dupre, nkal'ncom or again ngoye ngalla. We study the way by which they organised their field works, their technologies, their teachings and their product circulation, but above all, on the one hand, we centered on "mfumu kaanda" as regards production; and on the other hand the distribution level without forgetting the commerce, (economy and exchange). At last, we insist on the correlation between the parential systems and the production systems of the beembe community. The result of our analysis brought out the fact that the traditional economic development of our country is more important than the lack of food stuffs, famine, raptures, which is a proof that the "mfumu kaanda" did a good job of "mfumu -busina-kaanda". This is in refence to its economic functions. The economic infastructure of the beembe society of the precolonial time exist as an automatic socio structure. But unfortunately the colonial penetration has modified the exchange terms of the beembe and their society. In a twinkle of an eye, the colonial organization of the beembe society is being confronted and submitted to the uniform decision of the national economy, via mondial. -but, what is them the limit of this whole issue that has finally absorbed the beembe society ? where are those good systems which his now been reduced to a mere element ? at what level is the determinism he suffered situated ? these are the questions we are putting down for our successors to clarify

It is worth dealing with the questions evolved in the memoirs. These questions are: - Can a culture grow without contacts with other cultures? - Does interculturality mean a new social environment to be assimilated in terms of identity? - What are the roles of the colonial school, Muslim school, and the school of the tradition? - What could be the part of cultural contacts in the development of a community? Culture consists of ways of thinking, feeling, and behaviour of the different communities of which it is made of; it is the result of contacts and interrelationship between different groups of individuals. Therefore, any culture can be viewed as the mixture of different cultures. The exchanges that result give birth new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaviour. Lndeed, interculturality is the contacts of different cultures, and implies reciprocal respect of the cultures involved. It raises the question of how to live together with people from different cultures

Full textPakpattan, a small town in what is now Pakistani Punjab, is a city whose life, in many regards, is dominated by major Sufi shrine, that of a renowned 13th century C̱ẖis̱ẖtī Sufi saint, s̱ẖaiḵẖ Farīd al-Dīn Mas ūd Ganj-i S̱ẖakar (1265), popularly known as Bābā Farīd. The latter proved to be the source of the local religious authority of the conver he established in Pakpattan (old Ajūdhan). From the time of his demise in 1265, his legacy continues in Pakpattar mainly represented by his lineal descendants and the vast shrine complex. The socio-religious prestige of the shrine an its successive custodians paved way for the eventual establishment of shrine's local political and economic authority i the region during the medieval period that reflected the local shrine culture, manifested through the prestigious statu of its ajjāda-nis̱ẖīn. The dynamics of the shrine's local authority took a new turn with the emergence of the moder state in the region, when the British East India Company annexed the Punjab in 1849. The local authority of the shrin of Baba Farïd and the local Sufi shrine culture in Pakpattan has been highly affected when a process of redefining th local authority of the shrine took place through official institutions. The political and economic prestige of the shrin decreased substantially in Pakpattan and even the internai religious-spiritual matters of the shrine couId not escape fror the modern state's encroachment. The state gradually took-over the socio-religious and political mediatory role playe by the shrine and its custodian in the pre-colonial period, thereby replacing the shrine custodian in most of his socia economic, and even religious roles. The shrine has lost most of its local authority and has become a place of symboli ritualism performed in the na me of Baba Farïd, revered as a key spiritual figure of the medieval period. .
