Abstract:
Abstract: the paper argues that current economic crisis cannot be understood or conceived consistently just since its reduction to an internal deficit into productive-financial structure, as a drop in the standards of accumulation; indeed, this crisis is originated from a crisis in the directive power of society, that intensifies the separation between economic, political and social spheres, since the defense of a self-referentiality of economic scope related with others (social and political), which, because that, are framed by economic imperatives, having undermined the normativity (social sphere) and the evolutionary direction of society (political sphere). So, economic crisis exacerbated the problems legated by liberal modernity, that was characterized by the shielding of economic, political and social spheres to each other. Consequently, overcoming of liberal modernity, that was resumption by Neoliberalism, only can be done when we reiterate the social as horizon of normativity, the political as directive instance of social evolution, and the economical as a sphere of public and state-owned control and democratic management of production and distribution of the wealth, that the model of Welfare State represented and represents exemplarily with its complementarity of those spheres. Keywords: Economic Crisis; Power Crisis; Welfare State; Liberal Modernity.

Palavras-chave: capital global, crise estrutural do capitalismo, capital fictício. Abstract:
Internal displacement in the current migratory crisis Abstract: Today, international society faces the worst migratory crisis since World War II. According to the United Nations High Commisioner for Refugees (UNHCR), by the end of 2016 there were 65.6 million people who were forced to leave their homes. Of these 65.6 million, about 40 million are internally displaced, nearly twice as many as 22.5 million refugees. That is, the number of people who were forced to flee but failed to cross the borders of their own country is much higher than those who have achieved. Therefore, the humanitarian crisis currently experienced by international society is extremely serious. Despite the high number of internally displaced people, in 2016 there was the first reduction, albeit small. It was the first reduction since the beginning of the Arab spring, when the current humanitarian crisis began. Based in this scenario, this article aims to analyze the factors that led to the reduction of the number of internally displaced people in 2016. Therefore, this article was divided into three sections. First, it aims to study the definition of internally displaced persons and their protection under international law. Afterwards, it shows and compares the data on IDPs between 2011 and 2016. At the end, it analyses the circumstances leading to a reduction in the number of internally displaced people in the period between 2015 and 2016. Keywords: Human rights. Internally displaced person. International Humanitarian Law. International law. Migration. Direitos humanos. Abstract:
XX – nos países da UE.Palavras-chave: Crise capitalista, queda da taxa de lucro, dívida da EU.THE LAST CRISIS: since the collapse of Lehman Brothers to the European public debt issueAbstract: This paper inquires on the causes, the evolution and the perspectives of the economic crisis since the collapse of Lehman Brothers, until the actuality, i.e. the debt crisis of the southern countries of European Union. By means of Marxian theoretical tools the article explains the reasons which this crisis can be considered as a typical capitalistic crisis, once that the overproduction and the relative fall of the profit rate are common factors in the prevalent part of the world. In this way we drastically exclude the interpretation of some researchers sustaining its financial nature assigning the responsibility to the behavior of a few number of capitals (rating agencies). Giving an interpretation of current evolution of the crisis by means of the intra-capitalistic battle, we show how the capital linked to the dollar, overthrew the main consequences of the crisis - originated in the U.S. in the ‘70s, in the twentieth century - on the EU countries. Keywords: Capitalist crisis, fall of rate of profit, European debt.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the potential linkages among ASEAN-5 currencies, in particular the possibility of a Singapore dollar bloc during the pre- and post-crisis periods by using the Johansen multivariate cointegration test and the Granger causality test. Significant nonstationarity and the presence of unit roots were documented for each currency under both study periods. Using ASEAN-4 exchange rates against the Singapore dollar, the Johansen cointegration test showed that there was no cointegrating relationship during the pre-crisis period. However there were two statistically significant cointegrating vectors among ASEAN exchange rates for the post-crisis period. These findings imply that there is low financial integration before the crisis, but that ASEAN countries are financially more integrated after the crisis. This finding also indicates increasingly role of the Singapore dollar in ASEAN. Therefore, the Singapore dollar may be a possible candidate as the common currency for ASEAN. The analysis is repeated by adding the US dollar to the model. The finding ascertains the influence of the US dollar on ASEAN currencies before the crisis.

Abstract:
Sanitary Crisis, Civilizational Crisis is the translation of Michel Maffesoli’s Crise sanitaire, crise civilisationnelle. This paper can be taken as his pronouncement on the civilizational crisis that the COVID-19 pandemic acutely reveals. Maffesoli’s text urges one to see beyond secondary causes or dramatic representations of the pandemic as a sanitary crisis, and to consider the primary, and tragic, causes of this event, understood as a crisis that marks the exhaustion of the logic of modernity. Following from a longstanding critique of the decadence of modernity and, by extension, of an “official society” ordered and controlled by an out-of-touch and morbid elite, Maffesoli makes unequivocally clear that this global pandemic is a direct consequence of a globalized progressivist, economicist, and utilitarian civilizational paradigm. The paper takes up the task of reflecting on how relationality, being-together, and being-with, can be thought in our current moment of civilizational crisis.

Abstract:
It is argued the current eurozone crisis is neither new nor surprising. Fiscal discipline in the eurozone was weak from its creation in 1999, but ongoing economic prosperity limited the damage. Economic recession deepened the impact of crisis on public finance and pushed some eurozone countries to the edge of bankruptcy. Options available now are costly and painful: foreign bailouts, cuts to expenditures, higher revenues and some combination of the three. They may be conducted both inside and outside the eurozone. If eurozone problems are not solved, financial markets may turn down the euro as a currency, possibly marking the beginning of Euro-disintegration.

Abstract:
The still raging financial crisis of 2007–2008 has enabled the emergence of several alternative practices concerning the production, circulation, and use of money. This essay explores the political economy of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Specifically, we examine the context in which this digital currency is emerging as well as its nature, dynamics, advantages, and disadvantages. We conclude that Bitcoin, a truly interesting experiment, exemplifies “distributed capitalism” and should be mostly seen as a technological innovation. Rather than providing pragmatic answers and solutions to the current views on the financial crisis, Bitcoin provides some useful and timely questions about the principles and bases of the dominant political economy.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to discuss added value in the context of current research information systems (CRISs) based on metadata enrichment. Design/methodology/approach – This discussion paper uses literature review as well as analysis of CRISs specifications to discuss added value possibilities. Findings – Added value of the CRISs is in their integration and interoperability with the same and similar information systems. Since metadata plays key roles in interoperability of information systems, therefore focussing on metadata-related issue can add considerable values to CRISs. Two types of metadata can be distinguished in every CRISs including macro- and micro-metadata. In terms of macro-metadata common European research information format (CERIF) by itself is an added value for CRIS because it draws a complete view of the research landscape including entities and their relations. CERIF metadata structure is designed in such a way that supports micro- and macro-metadata. Originality/value – There is a lack of literature on adding value to research information systems especially CRIS and particularly how value can be added in CRISs still is an unanswered question. CRIS developers can use this paper as a road map to choose the most valuable strategy for adding value to their systems.

Abstract:
We provide the wavelet analysis of the economic cycle synchronization during the recent financial crisis. However, the global financial crisis caused economic cycles in most European countries to become more strongly synchronized without increasing of the real convergence process. Our contribution is an application of the singular value decomposition to identify and remove the long-term trend including outliers appearing in the year 2007–2010. We found that the historically greater integration provides more highly synchronized cycles in the core Euro area member countries.

Abstract:
The main purpose of this study is to devise a general regression neural network (GRNN)-based currency crisis forecasting model for Southeast Asian economies based upon the disastrous 1997–1998 currency crisis experience. For this some typical indicators of currency exchange rates volatility are first chosen, then these indicators are input into GRNN for training, and finally the trained GRNN is used for future crisis prediction. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed currency crisis forecasting approach, four typical Southeast Asian currencies, Indonesian rupiah, Philippine peso, Singapore dollar and Thai baht, are selected. Meantime we compare its performance with those of other forecasting methods to evaluate the forecasting ability of the proposed approach. Empirical results obtained reveal that the proposed currency crisis forecasting model has a surprisingly high degree of accuracy in judging the currency crisis level of each country in specified time period, implying that our proposed approach can be used as a feasible currency crisis early-warning system to predict currency crisis level for other countries around the world.

Abstract:
The Euro crisis is mainly a consequence of the international financial crisis of 2008. Thereby, the term Euro crisis is misleading as there is no currency crisis. First, the article shows some of the birth defects of the Euro. Second, it shows that the increase in public debt was caused by rescue measures for banks and anti-cyclical fiscal policy. Third, we argue that the Euro crisis is not just one crisis (a sovereign debt crisis) but it is a combination of several macroeconomic crises including a growth crisis, a labour market crisis, a public debt crisis, and a current account crisis.

Abstract:
Financial crisis is nothing new in the annals of history of the capitalistic path of economic development; it is a part of the business cycle. The theoretical basis is well entrenched in the concept of ‘Keynesian Cross’. The tale of crisis, dating back centuries, has taken a new turn with the call for more globalization—liberalize trade and open up the financial sector. This has made many nations vulnerable to crises that are likely to be repeated, perhaps frequently. Based on recent experience, warning signs can be read from the dollar-centric exchange rate, the mainstay for the stability of the current global financial system. To a careful observer, fatigue in the system cannot be overlooked.

Abstract:
The current phase of Ukraine’s development characterizes by a complex of external and internal challenges, which provoked a deep economic crisis in the country, led to a serious deterioration of the living standards, exacerbated social tension. The way to overcome the economic crisis lies in the implementation of complex long-term economic reforms that require the support of the entire society based on national cohesion, unity and trust to the government. In this context, reliable social protection of the population is becoming one of the main factors of national security in Ukraine. This requires the government to rethink the fundamentals, ideology, strategy and tactics of financial policy in the field of social risk management as well as cardinal practical steps to increase the role and significance of the basic institution of social protection of the able-bodied population in market economy countries - the social insurance system. The balance of the state social insurance system depends on the financial equilibrium of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, which concentrates about 90% of its financial resources. The path to such an equilibrium lies in the transition to a three-pillar pension system. However, this is possible only if our country achieves economic stability. Premature forced state compulsory accumulative insurance (second pillar of the pension system) under the crisis conditions will create a threat of social tension aggravation. Thus, under current economic conditions, the introduction of the second pillar of the pension system, although it is an objective necessity, requires clear economic preconditions, the main are: restoration of GDP growth based on overcoming the crisis in the real sector of the economy; the hryvnia exchange rate stabilization; growth of the average monthly wage in the country etc. Actuality, practical significance as well as insufficient elaboration of this problem caused the choice of the topic of the article, determined its purpose, task, logic and content.
