Full textThe COAR - CUSCO Project has an architectural approach that responds to its immediate natural context, the project land is over 3000 meters high, in the department of Cusco district of Quispicanchis, province of Oropesa, 4 km from the populated center. Having in this way a privileged terrain for the development of an educational project. The lands adjacent to the project are: an intangible agricultural area and private seeding areas, considering then that the topography to the west of the project is an agricultural hillside, while to the east it is a mountainous formation. The premise of the project begins with a sensory integration of users towards nature, considering the use of platforms and adapting to their environment, taking into account climatic, visual, formal, functional and spatial factors The result is an architecture with an original character, providing spaces for the intellectual development of its users.

Full textIn this research, we present the hypothesis that the Albertist tradition in Cologne played a significant role in how young Cusanus acquired his philosophical education, in the years from 1424 to 1431, and that the mediator was Heymericus de Campo. We claim that some traces of this albertist influence can be seen above all in Cusanus' gnoseological works, particularly in De coniecturis and in the Idiota collection. Contrary to the historiographical perspective that maintained the hypothesis that Cusanus’ neo-Platonism derived from Byzantine thought, we should like to sustain here that it originated in the school of Cologne and Rhenish philosophy. We are further convinced that this methodological approach provides an efficient tool for interpreting and capturing Cusanus’ thought within its contexts, both historical ( from “1430 to 1464”) and geographical (“from Cologne to Rome”). Moreover, finding traces of Albertism in Cusanus’s education and works offers a new key to interpreting and clarifying his relationship with modern philosophy. The Cusanus-Renaissance in the first half of the twentieth century saw in Cusanus the first modern philosopher because, unlike those of the Scholastic tradition, he was thought to have placed human knowledge at the core of his works, thus paving the way for the modern, subjectivist revolution. From this standpoint, Albert the Great and his “school” seem be be forerunners of the modern tradition, so much so that it was described as “Enlightenment in the Middle Ages

The main objective of this study is to determine the ease of doing business in the City of Cusco by identifying processes, times and costs to determine the difference between the current regulations and the actual application of them. It will be observed in the course of the work that there are many opportunities for improvement for these processes, because many of them are bureaucratic and take a long time to execute, which encourages the country to continue with a high rate of informality. The methodology to be used is descriptive research, since through the instruments of interviews and surveys adapted to the Peruvian reality of measuring the World Bank Group Flagship Report (2016) for its Doing Business report, it seeks to measure the level of Facility for Do Business in the City of Cusco, analyzing the times and costs established for each procedure and describingstepbystepalltheinteractionsnecessaryforeachprocedure. With there search carried out, one of its results will be achieved by standardizing the current processes, reducing the time and costs for the creation of a company, providing better support to entrepreneurs who invest in the city of Cusco. Also, some of the obtained results show that the times of the current regulations are not fulfilled in their great majority, being the main problem the human operative factor that works in these institutions. Finally, it is sought through an improvement in regulations to help encourage investment in the city of Cusco, making it an attractive place to start

Full textPariwana Hostel Cusco is a company within the hotel industry aimed at providing affordable accommodation in private or shared dorms with activities that promote cultural exchange and social experiences, which began operations in 2009 and today has two other branches in Lima and Santiago de Chile. The purpose of the consultancy was to determine the key problem and propose the best alternative solution. Through an analysis of the company's current situation, it was determined that the main problem facing Pariwana Hostel Cusco is the decrease in the flow of sales in offline and online channels, with a decrease in sales of 84% by 2020. The company's goal is to overcome the crisis situation caused by the COVID-19 virus, achieve at least an annual income of 3.8 million soles for the next five years and to position itself as the best hostel chain in Latin America in 2026. Based on the situational analysis and meetings with the manager, it was determined that one of the main reasons for its low sales capacity is the low diffusion of the company in digital channels and the low adaptability in the changes of its target market. Through the findings derived from the analysis of the sector, the review of specialized literature, and successful international models, different alternatives have been proposed, highlighting among them, the implementation of a Digital Marketing strategy as the best option to achieve the established objectives, proposing an implementation of a plan with a fixed budget and performance indicators to project and measure the results, as well as to determine the viability and success of the project.

Full textThe strategic plan for Cusco region aims to implement strategies which will position the region as leader in the production and export of agricultural products and tourism through social and sustainable economic development. To do this, it’s been proposed that growth in key sectors of the economy’s region will be through private investment, boosted by the growth in road infrastructure, irrigation, tourism and technology, with the purpose of creating direct jobs to the population, which will benefit the people with basic needs, education and health, thus generating shared value. To elaborate the actual strategic plan, the strategic plan model elaborated by the professor Fernando D’Alessio Ipinza has been used. To that effect, after the external and internal evaluation and in accordance with the vision of the region for the year 2027, seven long-term objectives (LTO) were established. Subsequently, after the elaboration of the SWOT matrix (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) 19 strategies were generated, which after the matrix analysis only 17 strategies were selected. Furthermore, to obtain the LTO, 29 short-term objectives (STO) and 11 policies were proposed which correspond to the retained strategies. Finally, the potential for Cusco region after an in-depth analysis allows to claim a strong competitive advantage in the tourism, agricultural and textile industries, driven by the rural community tourism, fine cocoa and artichoke production and alpaca fiber clothes

Full textThe success of the Peruvian microfinance sector is recognized in the world as the best environment for financial inclusion, added to this, in the last decades, in the so-called priority stage of marketing, the business focus is focused on ensuring customer satisfaction through the quality of service as one of its main differentiating factors. Taking into account the foregoing, and that, in general, there is scarce academic information at the local level regarding the measurement of the quality of services in the microfinance sector, it becomes important to know and analyze the quality of credit services. The method chosen for this purpose was the application of the SERVQUAL model. Thus, from its adaptation to the microfinance sector and its validation exposed in this document, we proceeded to the application of 382 questionnaires to credit clients distributed proportionally in the 13 agencies of the Municipal Savings and Credit Caja Cusco located in the city of Cusco. The results achieved through statistical analysis allowed concluding the existence of a significant impact of each of the dimensions contained in the model, in the result of Quality of Service. Additionally, quality gaps in the service of all the agencies studied were identified, reaching the conclusion that, in general, the service expectations of the credit clients are not met by the company, giving rise to a negative SERVQUAL score, especially in the dimensions referred to the capacity of response and reliability. Based on the conclusions presented in the present study, recommendations were made to improve the quality of service in the company, such as the streamlining of processes in the granting of credits by adopting lean policies, the standardization of information in all care channels, so that the client receives complete and timely information, among others.

Full textIn recent years, tourism has been one of the fastest growing sectors in the world. This has led to a strong interest in conducting empirical studies to evaluate its impact on economic growth. However, few studies have studied the impact of this sector at the local level. Furthermore, in the case of Peru, there are no studies on the subject. In this sense, this research contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence of the local impact of the development of this sector, differentiated by gender, on the level of income and expenses and monetary poverty for the Cusco region during the period 2011-2019. Thus, to estimate the causal effects of the variables of interest, a difference-in-differences model is used, exploiting the temporal and spatial variation of the data. In addition, with respect to the database, the georeferenced National Household Survey (ENAHO) is used for the study period and the georeferencing of the preferential tourist corridor Cusco Machu Picchu Cusco. In this way, the results obtained show that the boost from tourism favors men more than women in generating income. Likewise, there is no evidence regarding the reduction of monetary poverty. In this sense, there is the need to develop more inclusive public policies aimed at addressing the gender gaps resulting from tourism.

Full textThere is a tendency to construct a negative representation of adolescence based upon ideas which doesn’t have support in evidence. To overcome that, the goal of the present study is explore the social representations of adolescence held by teenagers of 4th grade from a public school in Cusco-Perú. For this purpose, the qualitative study was developed with a content analysis and phenomenological approach within a cultural psychology framework. Main findings reveal that adolescence has been defined through 3 perspectives: positive, negative and neutral or "a stage of change" In addition, participants express that the experience of being an adolescent is the product of interaction with the environment, culture and education. Likewise, the social representation of "the good adolescent" and the "the bad adolescent" emerged, in which exploration emerges as the central core within both social representations. Participants prefer to identify themselves as "adolescents of the good path", because they are focused on their studies and their future. Finally, social representations of adolescence are linked with the importance of the adult world, the peer’s influence, being misunderstood, impulsivity, etc.

Full textThe protection of Cussac engraved cave, discovered in 2000, is based upon the comprehension of itsrelationship with the karstic system and flow conditions in the unsaturated zone (UZ) understanding.Cussac site gives access to several springs from different parts of the UZ and a small saturated area. The cave itself is accessible and allows interception of flow inside the karst environment. Aerologicparameters including CO2 partial pressure (pCO2) and temperature of the cave have been monitoredsince 2003 to build a simple model of its relations with external atmosphere air and UZ air.A first part of the work is dedicated to the characterisation of the flows by a monitoring since 2008 ofwater chemistry and dynamics. This part lead to a Cussac perched aquifer functioning general scheme. To complete these classical investigations we wished to define hydrologic and aerologic flows in karstaquifers using one of its specificity: interdependency of gaseous, liquid and solid phases.Exchanges between rock, water and pCO2 of the UZ are estimated using calco-carbonic equilibriumequations. Functioning scheme is enriched by a conceptual view of flow conditions and a localisationin the karst of the CO2 dissolution or evasion and carbonate dissolution or precipitation process.Precisions on pCO2 evolution in UZ and in the particular environment of the cave are given by d13C.Unsaturated Zone CO2 isotopic composition is estimated from d13C measurement in water. Full text--- The Copper Molybdenum Porphyry Sayta is emplaced within the complex Andahuaylas Yauri Batholith, intrudes the sandstone and quartzite of Huintuyo Formation allowing the deposition of metallic mineral content of economic importance as copper, molybdenum, gold et al. During the investigation of Cu-Mo porphyry Sayta has been recognized several phases of magmatic intrusion, in the early stages of primary sulphide comprising relatively high grade, while in later phases are sterile or have low grade. The important feature of this identification has been mostly porphyry alteration mineral surface (oxide zone) recognized during the geochemical sampling and aerial photographs as tools that have helped to understand how the deposit. The research paper describes the genesis of the deposit and its location in the quartzite, its geological implications and their relationship with others existing in the Batholith porphyries Yauri-Andahuaylas. The quartzite Murco formation, have no porosity or permeability which is attributed to the presence of mineral fillers in micro-fractures caused by tectonic effects, however the presence of clay and siltstone permitted levels of mineral trapping during migration mineralizing solutions, and therefore it is assumed that the copper mineralization has been placed below these levels and some sections with copper oxides, have almost migrated advantage faults and fractures. According to the results of research carried out is known that the location of porphyry Cu-Mo enriched sandstone and quartzite Sayta is evidence of new exploration criteria associated Andahuaylas Yauri Batholith. According to fieldwork and previous studies by different companies confirm that the Andahuaylas-Yauri batholith is emplaced during the middle Eocene to early Oligocene (~ 48-32 Ma, with a surface area of ~ 130 km 300x placed on clastic rocks and carbonate (Example: Murco Group, Yura Group, Ferrobamba Formation) whose age spans the Jurassic to Cretaceous. It is also known that all porphyry Cu-Mo-Au are generated from calcic alkaline and alkaline magmas (R. Sillitoe 2009, SEG), therefore Sayta porphyry is located in the batholith Yauri - Andahuaylas, in 2nd and 3rd phase of its evolution or magmatic pulse events belonging to the Inca orogenic. In relation to the evolution of sedimentary basins, magmatic pulsations and tectonic events in orogenic cycle, describe metal deposits and polemics its genesis. The discussion is primarily genetic in field research, data collected from studies of fluid inclusions and radiometric dates for defining the mineralized trachi-andesite porphyry deposit associated with the quartzite of the Lower Cretaceous Mesozoic, origin, composition and temperature mineralizing fluids. Porphyry copper molybdenum deposits recognized in Cotabambas, Tintaya, Chancas, Morasayhuas, Antilla, Yanque, Sayta and others confirm the potential of Andahuaylas-Yauri Batholith.

In Peru many facilities were forgotten, one of these being the food markets. A market is the great pantry of a city, the most important commercial, cultural and social point, but currently the existing infrastructures are neglected. That is why this thesis project "Market Square in the city of Cusco" will propose to develop a solution proposal and the revaluation of a typology forgotten in time, whose focus is to revalue the food markets as a key meeting space for communication, tradition and culture in conjunction with an architecture according to the demands and needs of the user, creating new architectural spaces and permanent environments that provide new experiences.

Full textThe present work analyzes the culture of Cusco and its immaterial manifestations to propose an improvement in the dissemination and development of its customs. Peruvian folklore is very vast and Cusco is home to a large part of its cultural manifestations such as folk dances. During the investigation of the needs and the problems of the city, the deficit of the cultural infrastructure becomes latent before a high demand for local and foreign users. In addition to a lack of interest towards the local population, giving greater importance to tourism and causing a loss of typical dances. In response to this need and the support of the Ministry of culture, a Cultural Center of Folk Dances is proposed for the city of Cusco. The objective of the project is to rethink the cultural dynamics of the city, giving them a new approach that focuses on the local user, their needs, and customs. Through a contextual architecture approach, which takes the modular patterns of its urban and cultural context as references for applications in architectural design. Furthermore, functionally it seeks a privileged location in the urban context to serve as an articulating element. As well as its connection with a cultural axis in the city and the supply of roads and educational and institutional centers. Taking as a starting point the criteria of the place, its relevance as it is located in a heritage city and with the aim of indicators the wealth and value of folk dances.

In the Andes, traditional strategies for food production are still the main sources for feeding rural population. However, after the Second World War, international institutions, research centers and national governments promoted local livelihood integration to global agro-industry systems. Due to poverty increases in rural areas, Fujimori's government implemented food and agricultural production assistance programs. A set of local projects were promoted so as to improve monetary spending power of the poorest social groups. In spite of national government attempts to integrate traditional livelihoods to monetary markets, peasants could not maintain production intensification processes. Specificity and variability of environmental conditions in the Andes, as well as pest and disease increase, impeded intensification production. At the same time, instability of prices for cash varieties and increasing prices of fertilisers and pesticides reduced small farmers' purchase power to food outside the agro-ecosystem. However, conservation of local food production systems and social cooperation strategies allowed for the emergence of a barter markets network called chalayplasa in kechua. The aims of our research were: (i) to interpret the emergence of barter markets in the context of national food and agriculture policies implementation, (ii) to understand how barter markets work, and (iii) to assess the contribution of barter markets to the agro-ecosystem's multi-functionality conservation.
An integrated assessment of the chalayplasa network was developed. Pos-normal science and livelihood framework were used. The guiding principles of the research were: (i) quality of the process through participation of local people traditionally excluded from public policy making processes and development interventions, and (ii) incommensurability of values for interpreting complexity embedded into the system. A participative research-action process was implemented to promote multiple knowledge dialogue. This research included various elements of ecological economics, political ecology, rural sociology, agroecology and agrarian anthropology. Andean cosmology helped to unravel the wide diversity of local relevant aspects related to local food strategies.
Comparison of results with other means of obtaining food suggests that general monetary market participation and governmental food assistance programs adopt a subordinated role in local food systems. Latter strategies are not determining local social organization for food production and distribution. Chalayplasas coexist with other economic integration forms. These barter markets act as buffer mechanisms to dissipate monetary market pressures on peasant's domestic economies. They allow for integrating economic activities at different scales. Individual and collective participation to barter markets is based upon reciprocity, redistribution and autarchy. Barter markets mainly provide essential chemical elements and vitamins crucial to prevent protein and energetic malnutrition in poorest sectors of the population. Participatory rules allow for the conservation of agro-biodiversity, soil quality, and pest control processes.
Analysis of political control aspects shows that barter markets constitute genuine ways of popular economy. They emerge as dynamic adaptations to keep the productive self-management and des-centralised governance of local livelihoods. Results suggest that the reason of barter market's existence is caring for those processes that allow the agro-ecosystem multi-functionality at different scales through the conservation of traditional agricultural practices and strategies. With chalayplasa, communities redefine their economic system into a hybrid of non-monetary and monetary forms. Therefore, chalayplasas restates the peasant economy within the limits of the social and ecological system.

Full textThe region of Cusco, the historical capital of Peru, is one of the main regions of the country, besides being the main tourist attraction, it also presents a high potential of resources in different sectors such as mining or hydrocarbons and tourism. In this sense, the strategic plan developed for the Cusco Region has been developed according to six pillars to boost the development of the region, these pillars are: (a) economic, (b) infrastructure, (c) health, (d) education, (e) labor and (f) institutions; With the aim of achieving sustainable growth and efficient management of resources, to improve regional competitiveness. The starting point for the formulation phase within the strategic process was the analysis of the general situation that framed the current state of the country; Peru, with an average economic growth in South America, mainly in activities such as mining and tourism. The analysis of the situation of the Cusco Region showed the growth of the main economic activities, however, it is not yet reflected mainly in the pillars of health and education, deficiencies such as lack of coverage and investments in projects that allow an integral development Subtract the indicators that make up the aforementioned pillars. Next, the desired future was established, the vision considered to be located within the first five regions of the country by 2027, based on the main economic activities in the Cusco Region and strategic alliances with public and private companies. In order to fulfill the stated mission, fundamental values must be cultivated in the people, to impart the code of ethics developed in the present strategic planning, in order to guarantee the correct and efficient action within the Regional Government of Cusco, institution in charge of managing the resources and execute the projects of the Cusco Region. The analysis of the PESTE environment showed the opportunities and threats; The Region of Cusco has potential that may allow it to improve its competitive level, however, there are weaknesses such as corruption and low-quality services that undermine its integral development. Whereas, in the internal analysis of the Cusco Region, it was presented in the EFI matrix which allowed to know the main strengths and weaknesses, product of the internal analysis AMOFHIT; And understand the operation of the Regional Government of Cusco. Likewise, it was considered possible competitors and referents that can have and observe the Cusco Region, presented in the matrix of competitive profile and referential respectively. Following the strategic process and making use of the previous data were applied matrices of intuition that constitute the stage of pairing; As well as decision matrices. The use of these tools allowed the selection of nine strategies that were proposed in the Retention and Contingency Strategies matrix. The proposal for the comprehensive development of the region is reflected in the long-term objectives to be achieved, through the strategies proposed, which will boost the sectors of low growth through integrated development plans, sustained in an improvement of tourism, Integration of organizations, in order to achieve harmonious growth, preserving cultural heritage and the environment. The long-term objectives proposed in the strategic plan are aimed at improving regional competitiveness indices, thus promoting the development and improvement of the quality of life in the Cusco Region. In order to continually measure the fulfillment of objectives, a Scorecard balance is proposed as a strategic evaluation tool, which will allow us to reach the desired future of the Region of Cusco

Full textThe High-Performance Soccer Center in Cusco is a project that was born from my passion and love for this sport. This sports center is designed to house high-level young soccer players from the entire southern region of Peru. The main objective is focused on the use of Sensory Design (colors, textures, design patterns) to achieve the design of spaces that generate stimuli and positive feelings in the athlete. This sports hostel seeks to cover the basic needs of athletes (training, medical care, food, lodging and educational support) so that they can perform adequately and exploit their full potential. As a secondary objective, this project seeks to strengthen the cultural identity of the users and inhabitants of the area. In addition to containing all the necessary spaces of a CARF, some community spaces were added for the use of the population. This sports center is located in a calm and natural environment, on the outskirts of the urban area of the city, for a greater concentration of the athlete. In addition, the climatic conditions of the area are favourable for the physical development of the athlete. The project borders to the north with the urban area, locating the most public environments in that area. Towards the south, the project adjoins a more natural environment (river, vegetation, mountains), so that the sports spaces, rooms, and general living are located facing these areas.

Full textFollowing the Sequential Model developed by D'Alessio (2015), this strategic plan has been created for Cuzco maize, projecting that by 2027 it will be the region with the highest level of performance in the world. Its particularity is that it produces varieties that have not been replicated in other areas and even enjoys certification of origin for giant white maize. With the implementation of this strategic plan, it will be possible to increase production, increasing sales to the domestic market and exports, also producing goods with added value, such as precooked flour, concentrates, corn and field, among others. The goals of this strategic plans are to increase sales to national market from US$ 48 million to US$ 87 million, at the same time, incrementing exports from US$ 4.7 million to US$ 6.3 million at 2027, obtaining a 10% return over sales, and generating income to 730,000 families. In order to achieve these goals, there is mandatory to get smallholders to group or associate, thus gaining access to technology and training, joining production to achieve volumes that allow them to directly access wholesalers, changing the current production chain. The strategies to be implemented are: (a) to develop the Japanese market; (b) to continue penetrating the North American market; (c) developing precooked maize flour, adding value to the product; (d) developing purple corn concentrate for beverages and food; and (e) develop the national market for corn and cane, as well as for green beans. There is extremely important to gather all small farmers in associations, in order to get technology and training, and being able to provide directly to wholesaler large amounts of corn
