Abstract:
P33JNG2 was cloned through a homology search with p33INGlb, the founding member of ING family proteins in 1998. There have been several studies indicating that p331NG2 is a tumor suppressor candidate since it is involved in the regulation of transcription, apoptosis and senescence. People in our lab already revealed that p33ING2 plays an essential role in cellular stress response against UV irradiation (UVR) either by enhancing nucleotide excision repair (NER) or promoting apoptosis in melanoma cell line. So far, reduced ING family proteins have been reported in different tumor types inc

Liubov Kastnerova (previous name Kyrpychova) is focused on the histomorphological and molecular biologic features of selected cutaneous epithelial and nonepithelial tumors and is structured as a commentary to the 20 articles published during four years, representing the completed scientific projects in the Ph.D. course. In eight papers, the author of the thesis is the first author, whereas she coauthored in the remaining 12 papers. The thesis is composed of the commented files of authors own publications and it is divided into cutaneous epithelial and nonepithelial tumo

Prednisolone, as a neoadjuvant, is widely used in the treatment of MCTs, and without reported postoperative complications. The aims of this study were to evaluate the relapse free interval (RFI), overall survival time (OST), and locoregional recurrence of dogs with MCTs after receiving oral prednisolone at a dose of 40 mg/m2 body surface area (BSA) once daily and assigning to follow with or without surgery. The MCTs were graded by modified 2-tier histolo

While many MCTs are resistant to GCs at initially or gradually develops upon repeated treatments. Recently, several studies indicated P-glycoprotein (PGP), a drug efflux transporter, and signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) oncogenic proteins may contribute to GC-resistance. In addition, KIT, a well known prognostic factor in MCTs, may also influence the tumor response to PRD. The aims of this study were to evaluate o

This study aimed to evaluate KIT, PI3K, Akt, p-Akt, mTOR and p-mTOR expression in 50 canine cutaneous MCTs and investigate the correlations between the proteins mentioned above and clinicopathologic parameters by the immunohistochemical staining and immunoreactive score system. There were three KIT immunostaining patterns that are pattern I: primarily along the cytoplasmic membrane, pattern II: the intense, focally clustered cytoplasmic KIT staining, and pattern III: diffuse cytop
