Abstract:
Abstract Cutter-workpiece engagement (CWE) is the instantaneous contact geometry between the cutter and the in-process workpiece during machining. It plays an important role in machining process simulation and directly affects the calculation of the predicted cutting forces and torques. The difficulty and challenge of CWE determination come from the complexity due to the changing geometry of in-process workpiece and the curved tool path of cutter movement, especially for multi-axis milling. This paper presents a new method to determine the CWE for general milling processes. To fulfill the requ

In this research, we investigated Confucian and Protestant work ethics (CWE and PWE) among 160 Polish and Korean respondents, distributed into balanced groups with regard to region, occupational status, and gender. We found that Koreans revealed higher levels of PWE than did Poles. CWE turned out to be not exclusive to Asian cultures, as Poles scored higher than did Koreans. The results support the necessity of reconciling cultural differences. We think that values, which are believed to support economic development, are not related to one particular work ethic.

Abstract Being unable to find one’s way is a terrifying experience accompanied by feelings of fear or frustration. Persons with cognitive impairment (PWCIs) are apt to get lost and show difficulty in wayfinding effectiveness. Therefore, it is important to develop an instrument to measure the wayfinding effectiveness in PWCIs in northern Taiwan. This was a cross-sectional design with 180 PWCIs to examine the psychometric properties of the Chinese Wayfinding Efficient Scale (CWE) developed by Algase. Skeletal muscle is the most abundant tissue and constitutes about 40% of total body mass. Herein, we report that crude water extract (CWE) of G. uralensis enhanced myoblast proliferation and differentiation. Pretreatment of mice with the CWE of G. uralensis prior to cardiotoxin-induced muscle injury was found to enhance muscle regeneration by inducing myogenic gene expression and downregulating myostatin expression. Furthermore, this extract reduced nitrotyrosine protein levels and atrophy-related gene expression. Of the five different fractions of the CWE of G. uralensis obtained, the ethyl a

We have introduced a concise time-domain wave equation to accurately simulate wave propagation in viscoacoustic media. The central idea behind this work is to dismiss the negative frequency components from a time-domain signal by converting the signal to its analytic format. The negative frequency components of any analytic signal are always zero because we can construct the viscoacoustic wave equation to honor the relaxation property of the medium for positive frequencies only. The newly proposed complex-valued wave equation (CWE) represents the wavefield with its analytic signal, whose real

For this evaluation the reviewer comments on what is said in CWE 85 about the Classical and Renaissance background to Erasmus’ poetry, especially on the techniques of rhetoric. However, they are also prime targets for malicious actors seeking to exploit vulnerabilities and compromise system security. This is a crucial area that requires active research; however, OS vulnerabilities have not been actively studied in recent years. Therefore, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of OS vulnerabilities, aiming to enhance the understanding of their trends, severity, and common weaknesses. Our research methodology encomp

Accurate process modeling requires the calculation of cutter/workpiece engagement (CWE) geometry. This is challenging when the geometry of the workpiece is changing unpredictably as is the case for most machined components of moderate complexity. Solid modelers are increasingly being considered as a computational engine for performing these calculations. This is largely due to increased robustness and computing efficiency that is evolving within this technology. The vast majority of reported research using solid modelers focuses on the domain of 212D machining with flat end mills. While signif
