Full textSeveral studies attest to the influence of background music on consumer behaviour in a retail environment. However, few studies have tested the degree of congruence between the music played in the store and the type of goods and services offered. An experiment was carried out in a cybercafé where Rap music (congruence condition), Folklore music (non congruence condition) and no music (control condition) have been released. The results show that the mean amount of money spent was significantly higher, and more customers intend to recommend and come back another time when music is Rap
Fuentes-Zurita, María-Cristina. "Les cybercafés populaires au Mexique et les jeunes : réponse baroque ou formation non conventionnelle?" Paris 3, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007PA030166.
Full textThis research on the cybercafés in Mexico aims at understanding and explaining how young people use these spaces and what the meaning attached to them is. The author wants to know if it corresponds here to a baroque response or to a form of non-conventional learning. Facing the “numerical revolution”, this study allows questioning the relation between the technological gaps and the construction of subjective identities. Cybercafés consist of multiform spaces, where the uses and meanings are shaped by offer and demand as well as through the interaction between users, and between them and the operators. As a new space “between-two”, the cybercafé allows young people to construct their identity by a process of self-determination and of independent learning. The analysis is based on the observations made in 17 cybercafés, of interviews with operators and young users, and in the creation of a photographic collection. The issues developed here are based on the following questions. In what and how the way in which the use and the meaning of the popular cybercafés in Mexico allows its youth to become social subjects and to what measure it corresponds to a baroque response or to a form of unconventional education
Verdier, Maud. "Le temps de la conversation : anthropologie linguistique des chats dans les cybercafés de Tananarive (Madagascar)." Paris, EHESS, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010EHES0421.
Full textOur thesis is a contribution to different complexes of research literature - human computer interaction, computer mediated communication - in a bilingual situation (Malagasy and French). Based on video recordings of chat room activities in several cybercafés of Tananarive (Madagascar), we analyze these activities as situated practices in a conceptual framework based on American linguistic anthropology. We also present the French field and particularly the intellectual J. Paulhan whose original analyses on Malagasy language have been so acute. Our ethnography of computer mediated communications is organized in the three main domains of research of linguistic anthropology: temporality, indexicality and linguistic ideology. We study interactional phenomenon due to the temporality of the organization of chat activities, also inscribed in specific spaces that we analyze in terms of sequential organization and participation frameworks. Our analysis bring it bear on focused description of three varieties of indexicality. First, the deictic system of locative in Malagasy is examined on the basis of the study of the usage of such pronouns in chat activities. Then, we study non referential index on the basis of our study of the enonciative particles in Malagasy chat. Finally, analysis of some contextualisation cues reveals the fundamental role of the metapragmatic dimension and demonstrate the process by which linguistic ideologies are constructed

The advent of the internet age, making the Internet Information Service and other related industries developed rapidly. With the vigorous development of the Internet and emerging Web-based business and industry have mushroomed. Cybercafé become the emerging industry under the development of Internet. The operators of Cybercafé who spotted the business opportunities, and Cybercafé are set up near the school or populated areas, forming the specific spatial distribution. However, due to fuzzy policy and fierce competition, the development of Cybercafé has significantly presented to an atrophied situation. The charm of the Cybercafé is contributed to create a way to enter the virtual space that people can take advantage of the anonymity and freedom of the Internet to play one or multiple roles, and establish self- recognition. However, with the popularization of broadband technology, if Cybercafé are not the only way to enter the virtual space, whether it will affect the future development of the Cybercafé? This research focuses on the Cybercafé in New Taipei City. Firstly, we explore the spatial distribution and development of Cybercafé industry. Secondly, we investigate the causes and usage of consumers who use the Cybercafé to enter the virtual space. Finally, we further proposed the future development of the Cybercafé industry. The method of research, we use the method of literature review, field survey, questionnaires, and in-depth interview to investigate. The research demonstrated that due to the policy of limitations and the popularization of broadband, the number of Cybercafé in New Taipei City is declining year by year, showing an atrophied trend. However, Cybercafé as a way to enter the virtual space is still profound influence for consumers. The Cybercafé will face the transition to a diversification of chain management trends.

The advanced countries try to develop the industry of cloud computing, because of the coming the age of cloud computing. Taiwan industries, scholars and government put lots of vigor in the cloud service (like the cloud communication, cloud map, cloud document) , especially the cloud calculation. However, the development of cloud café was declined in recent years, and will the diskless information system improve this decline? This research mainly investigate what factors can affect users’ satisfaction using the diskless information system. This research uses questionaries to survey this question. 200 samples are collected from users. These results show that the information quality-sufficiency, the system quality-stability and accessibility, and the service quality-empathy, are significantly affected the satisfaction of the users, the all of the most important factor of all is system stability, These results may give some suggestion to system companies providing services for their guests.
