Virtual Reality (VR) and systems that use its techniques have a recent story from the point of view of their social and practical application. The main idea related to VR refers to the use of three-dimensional environments in which users can explore and interact in virtual worlds and feel immersed and involved. Currently, works that use VR to teaching or conduct trainings are commonly found in literature. In medicine, VR have been used for realistic applications for training of critical procedures. Collaborative VR environments for medical training can allow students to share knowledge or to be assisted by a tutor during a simulation. The objective of this work is to present the process of developing a module for interactive collaboration for the CyberMed, a framework developed since 2004 to help building medical simulations with VR technologies. This module enables collaboration in medical applications with interaction among multiple users. The development of the module consisted on analyzing and defining a protocol for exchanging messages over network, and implementation of some forms of cooperation relevant to medical simulations. The results were a set of classes to support different devices provided by the framework, allowing collaboration by mouse, haptic and tracking devices. Applications were built to validate the module implemented and its integration with CyberMed. In particular, a simulation of the bone marrow harvest procedure was adapted to provide collaboration with touch and force feedback (haptic) among remote users. The integration of this new module enables the creation of collaborative medical simulations with CyberMed that can be used by professionals and students in the training of medical procedures.

Full textRecently, the emergence of a new concept that proposes the integration of the physical world with computing systems, is taking sensor networks to be only part of a collaborative process with a larger goal than just observing the environment. This new paradigm is known as Cyber-Physical Systems, and consists of a network of elements that act between the physical environment and computational applications (Sensing - Actuation - Control - Application), ending in a management system able to group several applications with standalone and distributed operation capabilities. However, to this technology become viable for the diverse contexts of the physical world, it is necessary to consider the limitations of computational elements that compose it, and in this case, these limitations increase when it comes to sensor networks. This thesis focuses on the sensing layer, discusses some of the assumptions aforementioned and defines some characteristics and requirements of the CPS necessary to standardize some processes. It also proposes the development of a platform for sensor networks on Cyber-Physical Systems, a service-oriented middleware capable of adapting the limitations and needs presented later in a use case. As first item: i) The document presents the requirements for these types of systems and approaches relevant definitions. Secondly: ii) It is discussed the layered definition of the CiberSens service-oriented middleware. And third: iii) It is presented the proposal implementation in application-example. From the first item: The CPS are a relatively new field of research, as a result, many aspects need to be defined in order to simplify the understanding of the architecture and implementation. From the second item: The transducer devices have a relevant role on diverse applications used on the fields of home automation and in biomedical applications, the latter with an exponential growth of applications that try to improve the quality of life of patients. In this context, it is necessary a detailed study of the concepts and characteristics that should be considered during the layered design of the management platform for sensor networks in CPS. In the design, the system flexibility should be subject to an easy control and domain by the end user, who will be responsible for the actual functioning of the Cyber-Physical System and the ongoing application. From the third item: In order to eliminate possible errors, identify limitations in the system use by the system actors (user and administrator), and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposal, the modeling and concepts definition are applied in a real case. On this step is performed simultaneously an efficiency evaluation of the protocols capture and abstraction methods in the communication layer, the storage modulus, and the services layer. The evaluation is needed not only to validate the technique and the model used in the CiberSens architecture implementation, but also to determine the reliability the of communication and the effectiveness facing a critical event, validation occurs through the control process formalization, sensing and actuation, with SysML tool.

The research here presented is guided by three pillars: soccer, cyberculture and interactive advertising entertainment. Assuming that the interactions between soccer clubs and their fans potentialize the passion for the club, we wish to comprehend the construction of the soccer, since its appearance untill the reality of the business soccer clubs, the formation of the identity of the social field of soccer club fans and of the image of the soccer club fan, itself. Our attention turns to the internet, in its role as environment to sociabilities and interactions, analysing its features in a reconfigured context of social, cultural and soccer related behaviours. As business plataform, we point the elements that justify the use of the internet in the market logic of the soccer. In this research, the focus will be the particularities of the interactive advertising entertainment used as strategy, with narratives that would have the power of envolving the fan in the mimesis of several tools of the digital medium, where tell a story can encourage affection and participation to the fan. From the two main campaigns of the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (São Paulo-SP) with Nike – República Popular do Corinthians e Locospirose – we tried to identify the key elements to the estabilishment of relationship between the soccer clubs and the cyberfans, with the intention of reinforce the objectives stated by Digital Sports Marketing. To do so, the bibliography of this research consists in the main autors of soccer sociology and communication, as Ronaldo Helal (1998), Guilianotti (2002;2012), Arlei Damo (1996, 2014); Cyberculture, mediated interactions, social media, and the theory of the web-actor and cyberfan, by André Lemos (2010;2014); Pierre Lévy (1998); Lucia Santaella (2010), Raquel Recuero (2002), Alex Primo (1998) e Ary Rocco Júnior (2005), and about Hybrid Advertising, Interactive Advertising Entertainment and Sports Marketing by Rogério Covaleski (2010), Gisela Castro (2008), Kotler, Rein e Shields (2008), between others.

In order to re-interpret the Cybersex addiction, the researcher invited the Cybersex addicts to re-narrate the contexts of their own experiences and the cause and effect of Cybersex from various points of view. Also, the result of this survey would be used to contrast to the existing studies to reflect the perception of this kind of behavior, Cybersex Addiction. In this paper, the researcher not only explored the definition of addiction based on the psychological and psychiatric concepts, but also tried to re-define the new meaning of Addiction via interviewees’ personal experiences. Narrative Inquiry Approach was adopted in this study by collecting the data from 8 interviewers during the conversations. In the first part of the paper, 5 cybersex addicts were invited to narrate their life histories, relationships, the events they had been through by using the Internet, and the viewpoints of engaging in cybersex. The researcher luckily came across a mother (who is the significant other of the cybersex addict) as the second type of experimental interviewee to describe the impacts of Cybersex on her son’s life and her feeling about her son’s behaviors. In the final, the researcher invited a counselor and a psychiatrist as the third type of cooperator to narrate the processes of some peculiar experiences in dealing with cybersex addicts and the opinions of their clients’ behaviors. The cultural vision and frames of these three types of cooperators formed a complicated recognition connection between "Cybersex Addition" and" Whether Cybersex Addiction should be treated." All these subjects and arguments would be profoundly and gradually described and discussed in this study.

With the IT industry develops, life becomes more and more convenient. Even sex act can be replaced by advanced technology, such as cybersex. Cybersex is that two internet users, via interactive, two-way words, sounds, images and the immediateness of the internet proceed the anonymous sex act in virtual world, which is a kind of safe, individual and non-physical sex. This research attempts to analyze the phenomenon of the intimacy in virtual space in modern society by applying the background of the modernity and Gidden's theory of the intimacy. Besides, researcher also tries to understand how users interpret cybersex symbols and further perform the foreplay to satisfy their imagination and sexuality through text analysis and interviews. Moreover, how the communicated symbols affect people's interaction and relationship. The methods that the author use are text analysis, on-line interviews and face-to-face interviews. First, the author analyzes four cybersex chat rooms to see how cybersex happens and proceeds in virtual space through words and symbols. Second, the author interviews (including on-line and face-to-face) fifteen users to understand the meaning of cybersex for them. The author finds that cybersex presents the transformation of the intimacy. Cybersex can satisfy people's sexuality and thier desire to dominate over others, moreover, because of anonymity they can escape from the strangulation of power and gain the pleasure from thier adventure in virtual space. In short, This kind of relationship, which is not based on social relations, also reflects the needs of interactions with others. In the end, nothing is left but the emptiness and the anomy after quick and immediate sex act..

Abstract The main purpose of this study is to explore the factorial structure of hope and cybersex and to investigate causal relationship between hope and cybersex of college students. This study takes cross-lagged panel design at an interval of one month. The data is collected through questionnaires from a sample of 388 college students at Kaohsiung county and Kaohsiung city. Statistically, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) ,analysis of variance (ANOVA), structural equation modeling(SEM)are applied to the quantitative procedures of parameter estimations and model test. According to confirmatory factor analysis, three factor hope model include “goal setting”, “pathway thinking” and “agency thinking”. Three factor cybersex models include “sex satisfaction”, “addiction” and “emotion affection”. Path analysis of structural equation modeling shows that “agency thinking” is insignificantly influenced by hope and “sex satisfaction” is significantly influenced by cybersex. However, according to analysis of structural equation modeling, this study shows that cyber- sex is a cause and hope is an effect. Cybersex has strong effect on hope. Those findings will give helpful information to college students, academic organization, correlative courses in colleges and future study.

Recent years, Internet has been widely developed, spread and applied everywhere. With the nature of the internet, sex is everywhere in the internet consequently. We discovered that cybersex has been a trend of resolution on demand of sex as sex appears in various kinds of interpersonal relationship in the internet. In order to investigate sex and relationships in the internet, the researcher adopted Narrative Inquiry Approach by collecting data from several interviewers during conversations. Through on-line questionnaires, the researcher would like to explore the attitude toward, experience about, and reasons for cybersex among college students in Taiwan. Based on the result of this study, it is found that males are more willing to share their sexual intercourse or sexual behaviors than females among people having experiences about cybersex. Females do not tend to disclose their real-life background even if they accept to share their thoughts. Part of the internet users consider that cyberlife inevitably connects between real life no matter what kind of point of view people held. Besides, relationships in cyberlife are probably to extend to real life. However, due to the difference between cyberlife and real life, most internet users tend to regard sexual behaviors in internet and real life as individual. With the rising of the internet, it offers a new way and place for people to do sexual activities. New interpersonal relationships and interactions have been developed in the internet as well as a new type of sexual activities. People start to develop "real" interpersonal relationships in "virtual" spaces, resulting in a different-from-past way for exchanges and interactions.

ABSTRACT: The present study aims to assess the presence of Spirituality at Work and its influence on Affective, Normative and Continuance components of Organizational Commitment. It is also an objective of this study to determine the influence of Spiritual Leadership and Personal Capital on the central construct. 21 interviews were conducted and analysed together with ethnographic observations and documentation, collected in an Azorean organization, with subsequent member checking. It was found that the Affective component and consequent Organizational Citizenship Behaviour prevails primarily when the belonging and appreciation needs (Sense of Community) are satisfied and when self-concept and function/work developed (Inner Life) are congruent. Both the Sense of Community and the Inner Life were predominantly influenced by Spiritual Leadership through the Faith/Hope on the Vision and employees as well as through the practice of Altruistic Love values. In terms of Personal Capital, the Sociability influenced, above all, the Sense of Community and the employees’ challenge-craving attitude, influenced, in turn, mainly, the expression of Inner Life. These results highlight elements that can be used by leadership in management, recruitment and selection processes as a source of Spirituality at Work and consequent positive contribute to Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour.

Taiwan’s TAM of network communication equipment and services is estimated to achieve NTD 14,875 billion dollars in 2012 according to the survey by IEK ITIS; the estimated total revenue comparing with that (estimated NTD 12,181 billion dollars) in 2010 grows about 22.1%. The objective of this thesis is to research the value drivers of Taiwan’s wireless communication industry so to facilitate cooperates and potential investors to understand and evaluate Taiwan’s wireless communication industry by financial analysis and models. The thesis will use Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) methodology to discuss value drivers such as sales growth rate, operating profit ratio, cash tax rate, investment rate, WACC, ROIC, and etc. that affects the result of operation performance. The numbers from cooperate’s public annual reports and data from Taiwan Economic Journal during 2007 to 2011 were used to analyze D-Link (2332.TW), Gemtek (4906.TW), Cybertan (3602.TW), Sercomm (5388.TW) and we discovered that – D-Link’s and Sercomm’s ROIC are continuously growing, Cybertan’s ROIC is fluctuating and Gemtek’s ROIC is declining. After further calculating their stock prices by Sales-Driven DCF, we discovered D-Link’s number is close to current market stock price; Gemtek’s number is under current market stock price due to sales growth rate lower than expectation; Cybertan’s number is also lower than current market price, the gap is bigger due to lack of additional investment on short-term marketable securities; Sercomm’s sales growth rate is doubling so its number is higher than current market stock price.

Enterprises of our country are confronting Low-Profit market and intensely competitive environment. For ensuring profitable growth from the market, many enterprises choose a feasible business model - Merger and Acquisition (M&;A). As we know that the benefits associated with synergy for mergers and acquisitions transactions are not automatic. Actually, PMI, Post-Merger Integration is the most essential factor to deliver values and benefits for enterprise involved in an M&;As. It would result in M&;As transaction failures and enterprise value loss greater than revenues if enterprise fails to execute a post-M&;As integration effectively. The research focuses the impact of effective integration execution in M&;A process on enterprise management performance through case study analysis of improvements in entire M&;A process, including Business management, Human Resources Management System (HRMS), Structure of Product Costs, Integrated Information System, Integrated Quality Management System (QMS) and Process Data Reporting System. Eventually, we will evaluate this M&;A case with financial reporting and statement analysis from 2006 thru 2013. The conclusion is shown as follows: 1.In the early- stage of corporate merger and acquisition (M&;A), customer defections are a major reason why the combined company fails to deliver the benefits associated with synergy. 2.Developing effective integration strategy (i.e. executing communication plan or offering different rewards and incentives) to minimize any problems occur in combined organization after merge. 3.After hearing the announcement of company’s acquisition, its employees were restless and uneasy. The head of human resources personally come and talk with the employees to put them at ease. For retaining key employees, HR professionals have employees re-sign enforceable contracts and sign an acknowledgement that they have read, understood and have no objections to the company’s employee handbook. 4.The integration of different Information Systems (IS) is one of the most critical challenges that companies face during the whole post-merger integration process. First of all, the company has to build up information system (IS) integration in different organizations for various data synchronization. Based our review of the research, an effective Post-Merger Integration is the key to M&;As success Post-Merger Integration, such as strategy , organization design , and talent assessment .
