Abstract:
Intelligent traffic signal control is one of the important means to ensure traffic safety. Effective signal control can make traffic flow fast and smooth, which first needs current and future traffic information. As the control of one intersection may affect adjacent intersections, this paper proposes to predict future traffic flow with consideration of multi-intersections. It can dynamically improve traffic conditions and reduce traffic congestion. Based on various nonlinear spatial relationships at correlated multi-intersections and the potential time-dependent relationship in traffic volume

AbstractThis research developed an analytical framework for industry-oriented leading cyclical indicators (CII), focusing on monitoring and forecasting economic cycles within the European Union (EU). Various methodologies for constructing these indicators were examined through an exhaustive sector analysis. A salient conclusion drawn is the non-feasibility of a one-size-fits-all composite leading indicator for all EU members. It underscores the imperative to tailor these indicators in congruence with the unique industrial characteristics of each country. The study provides empirical evidence t

AbstractIn the last few decades, laboratory medicine has undergone monumental changes, and laboratory technology, which has made enormous advances, now has new clinical applications thanks to the identification of a growing number of biomarkers and risk factors conducive to the promotion of predictive and preventive interventions that have enhanced the role of laboratory medicine in health care delivering. However, the paradigm shift in the past 50 years has led to a gap between laboratory and clinic, with an increased risk of inappropriateness in test request and interpretation, as well as th

Global economic security initiatives are aimed at the survival of humanity by increasing the requirements for life cycle quality, the assessment of investment projects, and their environmental efficiency. An urgent task is forming a strategy for the post-war economic development of Ukraine, focused on sustainability, environmental friendliness, deregulation, and demonopolization of industries. It is substantiated that the circular economy is a system of long-term growth of the organization's value that aims to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency by developing products and processes

This section conducts an estimate of the impulse response function of key macroeconomic variables to monetary policy shocks in Russia. The estimates are carried out through a dynamic factor model (DFM) of the Russian economy with structural identification of shocks by imposing various sets of sign restrictions on the behavior of endogenous variables. We restricted first the monetary aggregate M2 only (a decrease in response to an increase of the Key rate), and then—simultaneously—M2, real effective exchange rate (an increase), and GDP (a decrease). We estimated the DFM using a large dataset of

The increasing complexity of foresight tasks demands innovative methods for the detec-tion, analysis, and validation of outcomes to ensure reliable and actionable insights. Thisstudy explores the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist in foresight applica-tions within rapidly evolving and high-tech domains. The study is using a simplified versionof a known foresight framework, adapted to the specific domain of “Unmanned Systems andCommunication Technologies in the Ukraine-Russia War.” The proposed approach inte-grates natural language processing (NLP) capabilities with system anal

ABSTRACT: The object-oriented software concept is applied to material mechanics calculations. The result is a comprehensive predictor-corrector which has been employed to solve virtually all of the constitutive exercises in a mature, general-purpose, finite element program. In addition to updating internal variables consistent with global inputs (corrector), the software also produces consistent material tangents (predictor), without resort to formulae. Coupled mechanical-thermal-porous flow problems are addressed as well as compound mechanical responses: creep-plasticity, creep-damage, etc. M

Abstract Context is everything. Not all thick sands pay out and not all thin sands are poorly productive. It is important to understand a basin's palaeogeographical drivers, the resultant palaeoenvironments and their constituent sedimentary architecture. Development of a depositional model can be predictive with respect to the magnitude of accessible pore space for potential development. We present a multi-field study of the Dneipr-Donets basin. Over 600 wells were studied with >4500 lithostratigraphical picks being made. Over 7500 sedimentological picks were made allowing mapping of fa
