The first-three order natural frequencies and vibration modes of the cylindrical pipe with different lumped masses are analyzed by the bending vibration theory and finite element analysis, respectively. In this paper, the interaction between a blast wave and an array of cylindrical objects (pipe or vessel) has been numerically investigated to evaluate blast load distribution around the objects. It was found that the interaction leads to a blast focusing within the gap between two adjacent pipes, and that the focused overpressure may exceed a fully reflected overpressure.
