Bellows are a cylindrical shell with a corrugated part, widely used in aviation engineering as a movable sealing element to balance pressure and temperature differences, which ensure continuous and accurate system operation. The use of bellows expansion joints provides reliable and effective protection of pipelines from static and dynamic loads arising from deformations and vibration. Welded-edge bellows are a popular choice for regulating and controlling fuel supply in aircraft devices. The ability of the compensator to perceive deformations is determined by its assigned operating time, which

The article presents the results of development and research of technological schemes of cold forming by rolling (CFR) of blanks. Expansion of the technological capabilities of the processes of COP and improving the quality of products is based on the control of active friction forces and deformability of the processed metals. The main limiting factors in the application of SHO processes are insufficient ductility of metals, which causes the risk of destruction of workpieces, as well as relatively large deformation forces that cause unfavorable operating conditions of the rolling bearing unit.

It is shown that the distribution of the ends of tubular billets, which are the main connecting elements of the vehicle brake system, is accompanied by a loss of stability in the circumferential and axial directions, as well as localization of deformations, followed by destruction in the form of a longitudinal crack that occurs at the end of the preform. The presence of the weld complicates the general conditions of deformation during crimping and distribution and leads to the destruction of the workpiece along the weld. To prevent cracking, it is necessary to tighten the crimping and distribu

Rolling forming (RF) processes are among the most efficient methods of metal forming. The required profile of the workpiece in rolling processes is formed by local deformation with conical or cylindrical rolls using sound technological schemes. When roll forming pipe billets with a ratio of the height of the initial deformed part to the wall thickness of more than 2.5, the flange seating process is made impossible by the loss of billet stability with subsequent fold formation. This phenomenon makes it impossible to produce wide flanges by drawing. To form workpieces with particularly wide flan

In view of the present pipe cold-centering processing system, the present situation of the low degree of automation and the deviation from the center position, this research intends to design a kind of tube billet cold-centering processing system based on laser measurement. The system adopts a movable, high-precision laser displacement sensor to the tubular billet’s outer contour, scanning to get the billet cylindrical contour coordinates, and uses the nonlinear numerical filtering least-square-circle fitting method to get the tube billet’s center coordinates. Abstract The friction stir back extrusion process (FSBE) gained popularity as a process with potential to create cylindrical shapes without seams, a controlled wall thickness and use less energy than traditional methods for creating tubular structures. These tubular structures are desired because the tube walls can be tailored to specific applications and it was also noticed that tubes made using FSBE had microstructures that could be influenced by the swirling of the stir tool. Because the tubes created by using FSBE are seamless and have a uniform thickness, they are desired for tube hydrofo
