Abstract:
The genus Cyrtonotula Uvarov, 1939 (Blaberidae, Epilamprinae) is recorded for the first time from Hainan Island, China. Three new species, Cyrtonotula epunctata Wang & Wang, sp. nov., C. maculosa Wang & Wang, sp. nov., and C. longialata Wang & Wang, sp. nov., are described based on morphological data and a molecular analysis using Automatic Barcode Gap Discovery (ABGD). Additional barcode data of blaberid species, including these three new species, are provided to facilitate future species identification. Morphological photographs and habitat photos of these new species, as well as a key to the known species, are provided.

Abstract:
New cockroaches of the family Blaberidae are described from Southern Sumatra: two new species of the genus Cyrtonotula Uvarov, 1939, C. secunda sp. nov. and C. tertia sp. nov. (Epilamprinae); and one new species of the genus Paranauphoeta J.W.H. Rehn, 1951, P. pullata sp. nov. (Paranauphoetinae). Detailed morphological descriptions of the new species are given. Structures of the male genitalia of the genus Cyrtonotula are described for the first time. Hypothesis on the relationships of these new taxa as well as Morphna maculata Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1865, Rhabdoblatta sp. and Pseudophoraspis sp. based on 28S ribosomal DNA sequences is discussed.

Abstract:
A new genus and species of brachypterous cockroach, Decoralampra fulgencioi gen. et sp. nov. is described from the Philippines. On the basis of the abbreviated tegmina and bristles of the folded structure of left phallomere, it is hypothesized to be close to the genus Cyrtonotula Uravov 1939 and Howintoniella Roth 1981. Also a new species, C. maquilingensis sp. nov. is described. This is the fourth species of the genus and the first to be recorded in the Philippines.

Abstract:
The first natural history data is reported for the tortoise beetle, Cyrtonota serinus (Erichson, 1847) (Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae: Mesomphaliini). An Ipomoea sp. (Convolvulaceae) is recorded as the host plant. Larvae and adults feed on the leaves. Larvae retain an exuvio-fecal shield and are gregarious. Adults are sexually dimorphic and polymorphic in sizes and coloration.

New records of Tachinidae flies parasitizing Mesomphaliini species (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae) collected in the Neotropical region. We provided the first records of parasitism of Cyrtonota thalassina (Boheman, 1850), Botanochara sp. and Paraselenis flava (Linnaeus, 1758) by species of Eucelatoria Townsend, 1909 (Blondeliini) and parasitism of P. flava by a species of Voria Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Voriini). A species of Eucelatoria parasitizing Chelymorpha sp. is recorded for Brazil for the first time. New host plant records are provided: C. thalassina on Ipomoea saopaulista O’Donell and P. flava on I. aristolochiifolia G. Don.

Abstract:
Two new brachiopod–brachiopod symbiotic overgrowths have been discovered from the Kukruse Regional Stage (Sandbian, Ordovician) of Estonia. Both the Philhedra rivulosa–Porambonites sp. and the Petrocrania sp.–Porambonites sp. overgrowths were beneficial to the encrusting craniid and might have been slightly harmful to the host brachiopod. The craniids could have been facultative kleptoparasites. Our data show that craniids significantly preferred the smooth shells of Porambonites sp. over the coarsely ribbed shells of Platystrophia sp. and the moderately ribbed shells of Cyrtonotella sp. and Glossorthis sp. This suggests that, at least against craniids, having strong ribs could have been a successful antifouling strategy.
