Abstract:

The Duration of Arctic Invasions (DAI) is known to be connected with various climatological indexes. This paper presents the results of a study of DAI changes in various sectors of the Northern Hemisphere from 1899 to 2017. To this end, we used the classification of circulating mechanisms of the Northern Hemisphere by B.L. Dzerdzeevsky.The basic attention was paid to the study of the trend component of the temporal variability of the duration of Arctic invasions; to the assessment of long-period cyclic fluctuations of the DAI; and to the forecasting the duration of Arctic invasions over the next decade in the Northern Hemisphere sectors.To analyze the components of the change in the duration of Arctic invasions and its forecast, we used: a description of the initial data using a linear trend, approximation of time series by the Savitsky-Golay method, spectral analysis and spectral-time analysis, as well as the component-harmonic method.We found a significant increase in the duration of Arctic invasions in the Pacific and Atlantic sectors and its significant decline in the European and American sectors. In deviations from the trend, a powerful quasi-fifty-year component for five sectors is clearly manifested; whereas in the European sector the deviation is rather weak and quasi-thirty-year fluctuations dominate here. What is more, quasi-20-year fluctuations in the variability of DAI were revealed, we predict DAI estimates for the next 10 years by combining the trend and two quasi-cyclic fluctuations. According to our forecast an increase in the duration of Arctic invasions will occur from 2022 in the European sector. In the Atlantic sector, DAI growth will begin in 2019 and continue until 2023, and then DAI will fall. In other sectors, there will be a decrease in the duration of Arctic invasions starting from 2016. The decrease in American sector starts only from 2022.

Abstract:

We have previously reported a soybean plant introduction, PI 437153A, which was ineffectively nodulated (definition of G. Vest, D. F. Weber, and C. Sloger, Agronomy 16:353–390, 1973) by Bradyrhizobium japonicum strain UMR (University of Minnesota Rhizobium) 161. In this study, we further characterize this nodulation system by (i) examining the nodulation of 21 B. japonicum strains, representing 15 serogroups, with PI 437153A, (ii) ascertaining the inheritance of the ineffective nodulation, and (iii) characterizing the symbiosis both morphologically and physiologically. Only USDA 126 (serogroup 125) and UMR 161 failed to produce effective nodules with PI 437153A. Segregation among F2 and F3 plants from a cross between cv. Lambert and PI 437153A was consistent with control of this trait by a single, dominant gene. In reciprocal grafts between cv. Lambert and PI 437153A, ineffective nodulation was determined by the root genotype, and was independent of plant growth temperature and inoculant concentration. The nodule dry weight of UMR 161-inoculated plants of PI 437153A plants was approximately 10-fold less than that of comparable plants inoculated with USDA 110; nodule soluble protein levels were also significantly reduced. Nitrogenase activity and leghemoglobin could not be detected in the ineffectively nodulated phenotype, but 1 to 6 days after inoculation (DAI) phenylalanine ammonialyase RNA level was higher in the ineffectively nodulated phenotype than in the effectively nodulated one. Microscopic examination of effective and ineffective nodules 20 and 35 DAI revealed major morphological differences. Ineffective nodules contained large, deteriorating regions near apparently infected plant cells at 35 DAI, and schlerenchyma cells that were stained red, suggestive of lignin deposition. These changes could be the result of incompatibility between host and Bradyrhizobium, though the lack of chalcone synthase expression and the appearance of infected cells within the ineffective nodules suggest that some later steps in the infection process do occur.

<p>Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir tanaman jambu mete di NTB diserang oleh wercng pucuk. yang semula dikenal sebagai Lawana sp. atau L. Candida. Penamaan tersebut tidak tepat karena tidak didukung oleh penelitian taksonomi yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi serangga wereng pucuk tersebut berdasarkan ciri morfologi serta mcmpelajari beberapa aspek biologinya. Identiikasi dilakukan di Balai Penelitian Tanaman Rempah dan Obat (Balittro), Bogor dan Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Biologi LIPI, Cibinong dari September - Nopember 2002, sedang pengamatan lapang di lakukan di daerah Lombok, NTB pada tahun 2001-2002. Dai identifikasi terhadap serangga contoh yang diambil dai beberapa lokasi di Lombok, NTB dapat disimpulkan bahwa wereng pucuk jambu mete tersebut adalah Sanurus indecora Jacobi. Beberapa cii utama serangga ini antara lain pada bentuk dan venasi sayap depan (legmen), jumlah spina (duri) lateral pada tibia kaki belakang, bentuk carina pada frons (muka bagian atas) dan bentuk aedeagus (genitalia jantan). Hasil pengamatan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa daerah sebaran serangga tersebut terdapat di daerah Lombok dan Sumbawa, mempunyai banyak inang antara lain mangga, jeruk, krotalaria, jarak, rambutan, bougcnville dan nangka, siklus hidup 3 -4 minggu, seekor imago mampu meletakkan telur 80 butir atau lebih serta mempunyai beberapa musuh alami antara lain parasitoid telur, Aphanomerus sp. dan jamur entomopatogen, Synnematium sp. dan atau Hirsulella citriformis.</p><p>Kata kunci: Wereng pucuk, jambu mete, Sanurus indecora</p><p> </p><p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><strong>Identiication of cashew shoot hopper, S. indecora and its biological aspects</strong></p><p>In the last few years, cashew plantations in West Nusa Tenggara has been attacking by shoot hopper, which formerly known as Lawana sp. or L. Candida. The naming was incorrect as there was not supported by accurate taxonomic study. The research was aimed at identifying the insect based on its morphological characteristics and studying its biological aspects in the ield. Identification was carried out in Balittro (Research Institute for Spice and Medicinal Crops), Bogor and Biological Research and Development Centre LIPI, Cibinong from September Nopember 2002, while ield observation was carried out in Lombok, NTB duing 2001-2002. Identification result showed that the shoot hopper is Sanurus indecora Jacobi. Some important characteristics of the insect arc the form and venation of tegmen, number of metatibial spina, form of carina on the frons and Ihe aedeagus. Results of the ield observation showed that the insect spreads in Lombok and Sumbawa. The alternative host plants are mango, citrus, Crolalaria, Ricmus commums, rambutan, Bougenville and Jackfruit. Its life cycle is 3 -4 weeks, female could lay 80 eggs or more. They have some natural enemies such as egg parasitoid, Aphanomerus sp. and entomopathogen fungi. Synnematium sp. or Hirsulella cilnformts.</p><p>Key words : Shool hopper, Anacardium occidentale. Sanurus indecora</p>

Abstract:

Riemannian manifolds with nonzero Killing spinors are Einstein manifolds. Kröncke proved that all complete Riemannian manifolds with imaginary Killing spinors are (linearly) strictly stable in [Stable and unstable Einstein warped products, preprint (2015), arXiv:1507.01782v1 ]. In this paper, we obtain a new proof for this stability result by using a Bochner-type formula in [X. Dai, X. Wang and G. Wei, On the stability of Riemannian manifold with parallel spinors, Invent. Math. 161(1) (2005) 151–176; M. Wang, Preserving parallel spinors under metric deformations, Indiana Univ. Math. J. 40 (1991) 815–844]. Moreover, existence of real Killing spinors is closely related to the Sasaki–Einstein structure. A regular Sasaki–Einstein manifold is essentially the total space of a certain principal [Formula: see text]-bundle over a Kähler–Einstein manifold. We prove that if the base space is a product of two Kähler–Einstein manifolds then the regular Sasaki–Einstein manifold is unstable. This provides us many new examples of unstable manifolds with real Killing spinors.

Geopolymer concrete is established to have brilliant designing properties with a decreased carbon impression. Geopolymer with fibers has gained prevalence in recent years for use in concrete, for the most part, inferable from their low cost and outstanding individuality. In this examination, Fiber-Reinforced Geopolymer Concrete (FRGPC) is utilized as a binder with the impacts of the intrinsic sulfate solution in Gypseous Soil. GPC blend is included with alkaline activators, for example, NaOH and KOH with molarities [M. Z. N. Khan, Y. Hao, H. Hao and F. U. A. Shaikh, Cem. Concr. Compos.85 (2018) 133; P. Sukontasukkul, P. Pongsopha, P. Chindaprasirt and S. Songpiriyakij, Constr. Build. Mater. 161 (2018) 37; Y. Alrefaei and J.-G. Dai, Constr. Build. Mater. 184 (2018) 419] and hybrid fibers (steel and polypropylene) with the fiber content of 0–0.16%. Fibers are added to upgrade the strength to the concrete to meet given functionality necessities. The Gypseous Soil is taken with the percentage of G13,G25,G54, to assess the effects, compressive strength, ductility, collapsibility potential, and coefficient of penetrability tests were performed with a soaked and unsoaked solution. These outcomes are validated with the assistance of an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) optimization algorithm. The validation results played out that ideal precision and high strength of the activated solution. At long last, the simulated outcomes give better execution compared with existing papers.

Abstract:

Abstract The Toyoshiki-dai housing complex, constructed in 1960s, is located in one of the commuter towns in a metropolitan area of Japan. Those who moved to this area as youngsters are now aged over 75 and many live a solitary life; making social support vital to prevent social frailty. The municipalities and universities have been hosting interventions, e.g. club activities, to make social connection but the effects remain unclear. In this study, the relationship between activity participation and the size of social support was explored to develop an effective method to increase social connections. A cross-sectional study was conducted in October 2018 and 200 questionnaires were distributed at a lunch event at the housing complex. The participants were solitary and independent seniors over the age of 70 (M:F=14.4:67.5). The frequency of going out to participate in club activity, see friends, and the geriatric social support scale were used for analysis. As a result, compared to seniors who went out to see their friends, the size of social support was smaller in groups that remained isolated (N = 161, odds ratio = 0.26, 95% CI=0.11-0.60). On the contrary, seniors who joined club activities had similar size of social support despite the frequency of participation. Clubs in Japan are often closed groups with limited membership, which may have restricted the addition of new social connection. Future intervention researches should focus on modifying the membership system of clubs and opening of a public space where seniors can casually access and talk to acquaintances.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to determine the mechanisms of dopamine regulation of phosphate uptake in opossum kidney (OK) cells, a model of proximal renal tubules. Dopamine stimulated cAMP generation and inhibited radiolabeled phosphate uptake into OK cell monolayers by 14.4 +/- 1.8%. The effect of dopamine was transient, as phosphate uptake returned toward control level by 3 h despite the continued presence of dopamine. Pretreatment with pertussis toxin increased dopamine inhibition of phosphate uptake to 25 +/- 3%, increased the duration of the dopamine effect to at least 3 h, and enhanced cAMP generation. In an OK cell clone that overexpressed cAMP phosphodiesterase, dopamine did not inhibit phosphate uptake, but pharmacologic inhibition of protein kinase A activation did not prevent dopamine inhibition of phosphate uptake. A DA1 receptor agonist inhibited phosphate uptake more potently than dopamine (29.5 +/- 1.1%) or a DA2 receptor agonist (7.9 +/- 2%). However, both DA1 and DA2 receptor antagonists completely blocked dopamine inhibition of phosphate uptake. DA1, but not the DA2, antagonists blocked dopamine-stimulated cAMP generation. Treatment with alpha-adrenergic receptor antagonists potentiated dopamine inhibition of phosphate uptake to the same extent as pertussis toxin and was not additive with pertussis toxin. It is concluded that dopamine inhibits phosphate uptake through DA1 and DA2 receptor stimulation by cAMP-dependent and -independent pathways and activates a pertussis toxin-sensitive counter-regulatory pathway that attenuates this response through alpha-adrenergic receptor stimulation.

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la frecuencia de casos de desplazamiento de abomaso a la izquierda (DAI) en 10 establos de la cuenca lechera de Lima en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2000 y 2004. Se encontró una frecuencia de ocurrencia de 6‰ (121 casos entre 20 131 partos), donde el mayor número se presentó entre la 2ª y 4ª semana postparto. El 74% de vacas afectadas fue enviado al camal.

Abstract:

O biochar é produto da degradação térmica de materiais orgânicos na presença limitada de oxigênio (pirólise), e sua adição aos solos influencia nos atributos químicos, físicos e em comunidades microbianas. A produção do biochar pode ser uma alternativa para o reaproveitamento de resíduos da agro-indústria. O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o impacto de resíduos gerados na indústria de biodiesel (puro e transformado em biochar) nas atividades enzimáticas, atributos químicos e microbiológicos do solo arenoso. O experimento foi distribuído em esquema fatorial 5 x 5, sendo o primeiro fator constituído por: apenas o solo (controle); resíduo de Graviola (RG), resíduo de Pinha (RP) biochar do resíduo de graviola (BG) e biochar do resíduo de pinha (BP) e o segundo fator, cinco tempos de incubação 0, 30, 60, 90 e 120 dias após incubação (DAI), com 4 repetições. Foram avaliados, atributos químicos do solo, carbono da biomassa microbiana (CBM) e atividades enzimáticas (uréase, fosfatase acida e alcalina). Solos tratados com RG apresentaram um incremento na urease aos 120 DAI (3,8 vezes maior que o controle). A aplicação de BG ao solo no tempo 0 incrementou os teores de fosfatase ácida, fosfatase alcalina, uréase e CBM (1,1; 1,2; 1,4 e 1,1 vezes) e o pH (1,2 vezes). Solos que receberam BP apresentaram incrementos no pH, CBM aos 120 DAI, fosfatase alcalina aos 120 DAI e uréase aos 60 DAI. Ambos os resíduos e biochar de graviola contribuíram para a qualidade bioquímica, microbiológica e química do Neossolo regolítico arenoso. Impact of biochar Residues from the biodiesel industry on the attributes of a sandy soil A B S T R A C TThe current call for the use of renewable energy generates a quantity of waste that, if not handled correctly, can cause environmental damage. For this reason, research that aims to reuse these residues to be applied in agriculture has been carried out, such as those that transform such wastes into biochar. Biochar is a product of pyrolysis and its addition to soils has an influence on chemistry, physics and microbial communities. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the impact of seed cake (pure and transformed into biochar) on the enzymatic activities, chemical and microbiological attributes of the sandy soil. The experiment was distributed in a 5 x 5 factorial scheme, the first factor being: only the soil (control); Graviola residue (RG), Pine cone residue (RP) Biochar of graviola residue (BG) and Biochar of pine cone residue (BP) and the second factor, five incubation times 0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after incubation (DAI). Soil chemical attributes, microbial biomass carbon (CBM) and enzymatic activities (urea, acid and alkaline phosphatase) were evaluated. RG treated soils showed an increase in urease at 120 DAI (3.8 times greater than the control). The application of BG to the soil at time 0 increased the levels of acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, urea and CBM (1.1; 1.2; 1.4 and 1.1 times) and pH (1.2 times). Soils that received BP showed increases in pH, CBM at 120 DAI, alkaline phosphatase at 120 DAI and urea at 60 DAI. Soursop biochar contributed to the biochemical and microbiological quality of the soil, demonstrating its greater potential for agricultural use compared to the others.Keywords: biochar, soil chemistry, enzyme activity, incubation

Abstract:

Rhodococcus has diverse metabolic capabilities, such as delaying ripening of certain climacteric fruit. Nitrile hydratase (NHase), amidase, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase (ACC deaminase), cyanidase, and β-cyanoalanine synthase-like enzyme (βCAS-like) are possibly involved in fruit ripening. The activity of these enzymes in Rhodococcus rhodochrous DAP 96253 cells were induced with selected multiple inducers (i.e. cobalt and urea). This research showed that the supplementation of selected sugars, i.e. trehalose and maltodextrin in growth media and storage buffers of R. rhodochrous DAP 96253 affected activity and stability of the enzymes mentioned above. Thermostability and osmostability of the five enzymes in whole cells (plate grown and fermented) were evaluated in this study, i.e. βCAS-like was more stable than the other four enzymes in storage conditions. Immobilized biocatalysts have practical advantages over the use of “free” whole cells. Immobilization of whole rhodococcal cells (plate grown and fermented) was employed, using techniques such as glutaraldehyde-polyethylenimine (GA-PEI) cross-linking, waxing and calcium-alginate entrapment. The GA-PEI immobilized catalysts were non-replicating and more stable in storage conditions than the catalysts produced by the other two methods. Wax or calcium-alginate immobilized catalysts (live catalysts) showed higher enzyme activity than the GA-PEI catalyst. The effects of whole and immobilized catalysts were evaluated on delayed ripening of fruit. Both free whole cells and immobilized catalysts delayed the ripening of bananas and peaches. Delayed ripening experiments showed that the catalysts were effective in direct contact and not in contact with fruit. Moreover, both free whole cells and immobilized catalysts showed antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger and Penicillium spp. Gas chromatography was performed to analyze volatile interactions between the biocatalysts and fruit. This analysis revealed that cyanide in an atmosphere with ethylene was utilized by the biocatalysts. There was also less volatile production by exposed fruit (bananas) than fruit unexposed to biocatalysts, either rhodococcal immobilized catalysts or live whole cells (plate grown and fermented).

Abstract:

This paper is a case study of a local labour market project. The aim of the study is to investigate the staff’s way of working with unemployed people, receiving social assistance, in order to reduce the payment of social assistance in four adjacent city districts of Stockholm. Other objectives of the study are to investigate which criteria the staff uses when selecting participants for the project, in which way the participants’ background affects the measures taken by the staff and how the staff experiences working as part of a project. A short summary of the social services development during the twentieth century and urban politics in the 1990’s in Sweden is used as a background for the local labour market project. The theories used deal with the social services strategies concerning unemployed receivers of social assistance, the participants’ background with particular emphasis on ethnicity and gender, project work and the special case of public projects. The study is based on interviews with four employees. Some of the conclusions are that the selection criteria are put up as criteria for not being selected as a participant and that the staff combines previously developed methods in order to reduce the payment of social assistance. The participants’ background is evaluated individually and the staff shows a certain reluctance to categorize the participants according to ethnicity and gender. The staff communicates an ambiguous image of working in a project by describing it partly as an inspiring challenge but also as involving some uncertainties regarding the terms of employment.

Uppsatsen är en fallstudie av ett kommunalt arbetsmarknadsprojekt och syftar till att undersöka hur personalen arbetar med arbetslösa socialbidragstagare för att minska socialbidragsuttaget i fyra närliggande stadsdelar i Stockholm. Syftet är därutöver att undersöka vilka kriterier personalen använder för urval av deltagare till projektet och hur deltagarnas bakgrund påverkar de åtgärder som personalen sätter in samt hur personalen uppfattar projektformen som arbetssätt. Det kommunala arbetsmarknadsprojektet förankras i socialtjänstens och storstadspolitikens historiska utveckling. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna tar fasta på socialtjänstens strategi gällande arbetslösa socialbidragstagare, deltagarnas etniska bakgrund och kön samt projekt som arbetsform och offentliga projekts speciella drag. I analysen används utsagor från djupintervjuer med fyra anställda. Några av slutsatserna är att urvalskriterierna formuleras som hinder för deltagande i projektet och att personalen kombinerar olika tidigare utvecklade metoder i sitt arbete för att minska socialbidragstagandet. Deltagarnas bakgrund bedöms individuellt och personalen visar en viss ovilja att kategorisera deltagarna efter etnicitet och kön. Personalen ger en ambivalent bild av projekt som arbetsform. Dels beskrivs arbetet i projektet som utmanande samtidigt som den tidsbegränsade projektanställningen upplevs som osäker.

The aimy of this study is to understand the concept of fermentation contained in treaties of the doctor and natural philosopher, seventeenth century, Thomas Willis. Therefore, we outlined in the first chapter, some of the central aspects of the Willis biography such as institutional places and social circles and studies attended in the English Civil War context. In the second chapter, we analyze the set of scientific sources that influenced our author. Our intention was to understand how such sources formed the thinking and the work of Willis, above all, that was the object of our last chapter: Diatribae duae medicophilosophicae - quarum prior agit of fermentatione. In the third chapter, we analyze the first five chapters of the treaty, in which Willis provides the basis and justification of fermentation processes. In this regard, we note that the "doctrine of fermentation" - considered by essential Willis for the understanding of all the transformations throughout the "sublunar world" - was, in fact, fundamental to their studies in a continuous manner and since the beginning of your career
O presente trabalho tem como foco de investigação o conceito de fermentação contido em tratados do médico e filósofo natural seiscentista Thomas Willis. Para tanto, delineamos, no primeiro capítulo, alguns dos aspectos centrais à biografia de Willis, tais como os lugares institucionais, círculos sociais e de estudos que frequentou no contexto de Guerra Civil Inglesa. No segundo capítulo, analisamos o conjunto de fontes científicas que influenciaram o nosso autor. Nossa intenção foi entender de que maneira tais fontes formaram o pensamento e as obras de Willis, sobretudo, a que foi objeto de nosso último capítulo: Diatribae duae medico-philosophicae – quarum prior agit de fermentatione. No terceiro capítulo, analisamos os cinco primeiros capítulos do referido tratado, nos quais Willis oferece as bases e justificativas dos processos de fermentação. Nesse sentido, verificamos que a “doutrina da fermentação” – considerada por Willis essencial para a compreensão de todas as transformações existentes em todo o “mundo sublunar” – foi, de fato, basilar para seus estudos de maneira continua e desde o início de sua carreira

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to select the best GARCH-type model for modelling the volatility of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum. GARCH (1,1), IGARCH(1,1), EGARCH(1,1), TGARCH(1,1) and CGARCH(1,1) are used on the cryptocurrencies closing day return. We select the model with the highest Maximum Likelihood and run an OLS regression on the conditional volatility to measure the day-of-the-week effect. The findings show that EGARCH(1,1) model best suits Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum data and that the GARCH(1,1) model suits best Bitcoin data. The results show a significant presence of day-of-the-week effects on the conditional volatility of some days for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum. Wednesday has a significant negative effect on Bitcoin conditional volatility. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are found to be significant and positive on Bitcoin Cash conditional volatility. Finally, Saturday is found to be significant and positive on Ethereum conditional volatility.

A arquitetura do Sistema Humanitário Internacional no século XXI está em expansão. Não somente os recursos aportados têm crescido, como também o número de atores envolvidos como doadores, tais como organizações internacionais governamentais e não governamentais. Os países são os maiores provedores de assistência humanitária, e este grupo também apresenta ampliação. Tradicionalmente, os países membros do Comitê de Assistência ao Desenvolvimento, da Organização para Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico (DAC/OCDE) são os atores mais antigos do sistema humanitário contemporâneo e os que mais aportam recursos. A literatura recente, contudo, aponta para a emergência de outros países doadores de fora do grupo, que estariam trazendo mudanças na governança internacional do sistema. Os estudos sobre os doadores \"Não DAC\" carecem de dados precisos, sendo, em sua maioria, baseados em estimativas. Esta pesquisa visa a aprofundar os conhecimentos sobre a atuação desses doadores, valendo-se de estatística descritiva de dados primários de organizações multilaterais do sistema humanitário da Organização das Nações Unidas para se poder mais bem compreender o grau de participação financeiro que os doadores \"Não DAC\" agregam ao sistema. Além disso, o estudo apresenta uma análise de como o Brasil age como doador de assistência humanitária internacional.
The architecture of the International Humanitarian System in the 21st century is expanding. Not only the resources contributed have increased, but also the number of actors involved as donors, such as international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Countries are the largest providers of humanitarian assistance, and this group is also expanding. Traditionally, the member countries of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD / DAC) are the primary actors in the contemporary humanitarian system and those who provide the majority of the resources. Recent literature, however, points to the emergence of other donor countries outside the group that might be bringing changes in the international governance of the system. Studies on \"non-DAC\" donors lack accurate data and are mostly based on estimates. This research aims to deepen knowledge about the performance of these donors, using descriptive statistics on primary data from multilateral organizations of the United Nations humanitarian system to better understand the degree of financial participation that \"Non-DAC\" donors add to the system. Furthermore, the study presents an analysis of Brazil\'s actions as a donor of international humanitarian assistance.

A competitividade das empresas depende de factores internos, relacionados com os recursos, da gestão que as empresas fazem dos referidos recursos e, também com factores externos, relacionados com o modelo e estrutura do mercado existente num determinado país. O sector da construção civil é muito importante em qualquer país, porque fornece um conjunto de bens e serviços que satisfazem necessidades básicas das populações, que muitas vezes são pagos pelo erário público e, por tal, uma utilização eficiente dos recursos é fundamental para o bom desempenho global do sector. A competitividade do sector da construção civil é influenciada pelos recursos e pelo modelo de mercado, existente num determinado país. As empresas construção de edifícios, são empresas muito influenciadas pelas características do mercado local, em virtude de terem de cumprir regulamentos e de utilizarem técnicas construtivas locais. Existem diferenças significativas entre a construção em Portugal e em França. Estas diferenças têm por base os diferentes modelos de desenvolvimento do mercado, que foram influenciadas pelas políticas e regulamentos públicos existentes nos dois países. Fruto destas políticas, o sector da construção em França, é mais competitivo, tem menor risco na execução dos negócios, maior produtividade e qualidade. O sector da construção civil, em Portugal, passa por uma época de crise que se vem manifestando já há alguns anos. O sector também enfrenta alguns problemas que afectam a produtividade e a qualidade. As estratégias de competitividade adoptadas em França podem indiciar, nalguns aspectos, possíveis evoluções para o sector da construção de edifícios em Portugal, que levem às mudanças necessárias no mercado, para ultrapassar os problemas que o mesmo enfrenta e, ajudar a superar a crise existente actualmente. ABSTRACT: The competitiveness of the companies depends on internal factors, related with the resources, of the administration that the companies do of the referred resources and, also with external factors, related with the model and structure of the existent market in a certain country. The building construction is a very important sector in any country, because it supplies a group of goods and services that supply basic needs of the populations, that a lot of times are pay for the treasury and, for such, an efficient use of the resources is fundamental for the good global acting of the sector. The competitiveness of the construction sector is influenced by the resources and for the market model, existent in a certain country. The building construction companies are very influenced by the characteristics of the local market, because they have to accomplish regulations and to use techniques constructive places. Significant differences exist among the construction in Portugal and in France. These differences have for base the different models of development of the market, which were influenced by the politics and existent public regulations in the two countries. Fruit of these politics, the sector of the construction in France, is more competitive, has smaller risk to do businesses, larger productivity and quality. The construction building sector, in Portugal, is in crisis, that she was manifesting there are already some years. The sector also faces some problems that affect the productivity and the quality. The strategies of competitiveness adopted in France can accuse, in some aspects, possible evolutions for the building construction sector in Portugal, that they take to the necessary changes in the market, the problems that the same faces to pass and, to help to overcome the crisis existent actually.

Ostia è, dopo Roma, la città dell’Impero che ha restituito il maggior numero di iscrizioni latine. Dopo la pubblicazione del XIV volume del Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum (1887) e del Supplementum Ostiense (1930), molto altro materiale è venuto alla luce, in gran parte nel corso dei ‘Grandi Scavi’ degli anni 1938-42, ma è rimasto in gran parte inedito. Da qualche anno un gruppo di studio italo-francese ha dato avvio a un progetto sistematico di pubblicazione. Il volume comprende circa 2000 iscrizioni funerarie provenienti da Ostia e conservate a Ostia (oltre a 168 perdute), con schede scientifiche e fotografie di alta qualità, eseguite a cura della competente Soprintendenza, che apportano un considerevolissimo contributo alla conoscenza dell’onomastica e delle famiglie della città, nonché agli Iura Sepulchrorum. Al catalogo seguono gli indici che adottano la tradizionale ripartizione tematica. Chiudono il volume una bibliografia abbreviata, gli indici delle fonti epigrafiche e le corrispondenze inventariali.

In addition to the celebrations of Gunpowder Day every November 5, Guy Fawkes appears in 17th-century literature as an arch-villain. Thomas Decker wrote a play in 1611 that encounters Guy in Hell. In 1614 in his play “Bartholomew Faire”; Ben Jonson’s character Lanthorn boasts of his success as a puppeteer with the topic of the Gunpowder Plot. In 1622 young John Milton wrote a 226-line poem in Latin referring to Gunpowder Treason. By 1641, Francis Herring could make Fawkes a son of the devil. The poem “Remember, Remember” reflects the later development of November 5. As the centuries went on, anti-Catholic sentiment in England finally diminished, making Fawkes even more the focus of what often now was called Guy Fawkes Day.

This conclusion peers into the early days of 1614, including the birth of the first royal grandchild, Elizabeth’s first son, in early January, confirming the ‘German connection’ for the British royal family. The failure of the ‘Addled Parliament’ in 1614, gets discussed. Against good advice, King James summoned the parliament and spoke to it on three occasions, all to no avail. Infighting and intransigence doomed the legislative attempts. The narrative arc of 1613 plausibly ends with the Accession Day Tilt on 24 March 1614, a spectacular display in the Whitehall Tiltyard, led by the Duke of Lennox, a fitting end to the exploration of cultural life.

Abstract:

Control of hemostatic parameters of patients undergoing surgery usually involves only determination of parameters of the coagulation cascade, but not measurement of primary hemostasis. This has mainly methodological reasons. Recently a model of primary hemostasis has been introduced (Kratzer & Bom, Haemostasis 15:357; 1985) now produced under the name “ Thrombostat 4000” (VDG von der Goltz, 8221 Seeon, West Germany). This device measures computerized within minutes “ in vitro” bleeding parameters (vBP) like bleeding volume (V,ul), time (T,sec) and the viscosity depending initial flow (IF,ul/min) in a small sample (0.5-lml) of whole anticoagulated blood (Na citrate 1 to 10). The clinical relevance of the vBP was tested in patients undergoing major surgery.Results : Case 1: A 78 years old woman with osteomyelosarcoma, heavy bleeding and normal coagulation parametrs showed strongly pathological vBP: (V > 800, T > 300, IF 184); control values: (V = 177, T = 105, IF = 145); An improvement of beeding and shortening of vBP was observed after infusion of platelet concentrate: (V = 328, T = 245, IF = 147).Case 2: A 60 years old man with adenocarcinoma undergoing liver transplantation, before operation (OP) vBP: (V = 224, T = 114, IF = 182); displayed a strong increase during OP: (V > 800, T = 360, IF = 277; decreasing values after Oft (V = 348, T = 146, IF = 254); 1. day after OP: (V = 250, T = 127, IF = 221); 13 day after OP normal vBft (V = 160, T = 111, IF 182).Case 3: A 35 years old man with III. grade burnings of the skin (35%) and a massive platelet function defect: (V > 800, T > 180, IF = 328); improvement after infusion of platelet concentrate: (V = 393, T = 164, IF = 239); further improvement some hours later: (V = 240, T = 120, IF = 213); and normalizing of parameters at the 1. day: (V = 197, T = 126, IF = 186) and the 5. day after OP: (V = 130, T = 122, IF = 142).It is interesting to note that patients with heavy burnings reguarly displayed reduced vBP: (V = 120, T = 70, IF = 127) if measured very early after the accident. The new method seems to be a valuable instrument to judge platelet functions.

Abstract:

We studied the cultural and physiological characteristics of the producer strain 11-1 Bacillus sp. – the antagonist of sunflower Phoma rot pathogen to develop the technological regulations for the production of a microbiological preparation in a «wettable powder» form. We studied the cultural characteristics of the producer strain on three agar media: potato sucrose agar (PSA), Czapek’s agar and Tylon-3; the characteristics varied significantly depending on the nutrient medium. The maximum diameter of colonies on the tenth day of incubation developed on the Tylon-3 medium – 66×99 mm. We established the optimal conditions for the cultivation of the strain on liquid nutrient media: temperature – 30–35 °С, medium pH from 6 to 10. We found that molasses is an optimal source of carbon nutrition, while peptone is the most favorable source of nitrogen nutrition. We established that the Tylon-3 medium is the optimal complex liquid nutrient medium for the cultivation of the bacterial strain 11-1 Bacillus sp.

Dies gilt nicht zuletzt auch für Rheinland-Pfalz, wo auf eine entsprechende Klage der Kommunen gegen das Land der Verfassungsgerichtshof in seinem Urteil vom 14. Februar 2012 (VGH N 3/11) das seinerzeit bestehende Landesfinanzausgleichsgesetz in Teilen für verfassungswidrig erklärt hat.
