Full textIs it necessary to question the religions to understand contemporary world? As the holy TV Canção Nova talks to a season that has its own sacred: the money? All the research effort of this text was intended to answer these two questions. For this, the study tried to understand, in church electronics history, how is the dialogue between the sacred - and how narratives are used as a religious fetish, aiming to erase the materiality of the means by which they are transmitted. Moreover, the history of Catholic political communication points to the logic of master and slave. Even if there is negation of capitalism, he ends up being claimed by religious media practice and the result is an ambiguity between the affirmation and negation of the sacred contemporary. This ambiguity is seen in the history of TV Canção Nova and his programming, and is narrated by the characters that make the Catholic Church: priests and faithful who consume the media Catholicism of TV Canção Nova.

Full textThis paper proposes a reading of the qînh (\"elegy\") that David wrote in honor of Saul and Jonathan (2 Samuel 1: 17-27). Begins with research of this genre within the Hebrew Bible, identifying the main features of it and comparing it to related genres in an attempt to understand its social function in biblical times and find possible reasons for its reduced presence in the Hebrew Bible. Also notes how this lament becomes evident traits of the character David, which enhances understanding of the reports contained in the books of Samuel, which tell his ascension to the throne and his reign. Finally, it presents an analysis of the chosen poem and the narrative space in which it emerges.

Full textThe reflections that follow have photography as their main focus. They come from questions raised during the creative process of my work. Starting with the appropriation of photographs of the 20th century up to approximately the fifties, I tried to observe the structures and systems of representations in the portraits of groups of people, especially the family groups. The result was presented in an exhibition within the program Temporada de Projetos in the Paço das Artes in the University of São Paulo in May 2004. The text that follows is the fruit of the interchange between the photographic performance, image analysis and theoretical reflexions. In the development of my work, photography was approached rising from different aspects such as: one that investigates the photographic language as a system of grasping and production of images; the other sees is photography a means of thinking about man inscribed in his times; and still the other discovers in the portraits a representation, more than just a mirror of reality.

Full textThis thesis will deal with matters related to diffusion, organization and cataloguing of the Centro de Memória das Artes (CMA) collection, a project of musical documentation of the Nucleo de Pesquisa em Ciências da Performance em Música (NAP-CIPEM) from FFCLRP- USP by means of musical archival management directives. CMA is a deposit for various regional works from the 19th and 20th century where most of these primary sources are unique. We will describe, after data gathering and contextualization, what composes the collection and the main operating difficulties in order for it to have internationalization competence, enabling interfacing between its primary sources through virtual means to make it more accessible to a greater public of interested people, inside and outside of Brazil. Considering the state of Brazilian music sources and analysing the operation method of sponsors of this kind of documentation in the country, we surveyed practices from these institutions to bring it to CMA\'s reality. Besides developing the proposal, we address reflections on the Serviço de Edição e Difusão de Partituras (SEDP), another project from NAP-CIPEM, for its integration to CMA.

Full textThis is a descriptive-explanatory and exploratory research about the relationship between Tourism and regional development that presents the LPS Tour analysis model and that was worked out taking its basis elements of theoretical references from economics, geography, sociology, administration, communication, anthropology and Tourism. The objective is to show if it is possible to accomplish regional development through Tourism. A region is a territorial context delimitated by geographical, economic, and political criteria. It is taken into consideration that the general model of Local Productive System of Tourism LPS, a especific cathegory of cluster, has limitations to the analysis and management of Tourism. For this reason, the LPS Tour Local Productive System of Tourism - particular model of analysis - is developed. The LPS model is structured in the economic, cultural, and organizational dimensions. The regional development elements in the economic dimension are: spatial delimitation; intra-regional dissimilarities; externalities; environmental sustainability; and social inclusion. The Tourism elements circumscribed in the economic dimension are: supply and demand; performance; prioritization; exportation; productive circuit; extra-regional interactivity; and accessibility. In the cultural dimension, the elements that stand out are: historical aspects; collections and incentives; esthetics; products and attractions; animation; and motivation and satisfaction of the community. In the organizational dimension, we have the following elements: power and stock capital; systemic management; divulgation and image; marketing and commercialization; planning; entrepreneurship and innovation; and knowledge. The test of the LPS Tour model was performed applying it to the Região das Hortênsias (Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil) (The Hydrangeas Region), that is formed by the municipal districts of Gramado, Canela, Nova Petrópolis, and São Francisco de Paula. Based on the panel of indicators of the dimensions elements of the LPS Tour model, it is possible to verify that Tourism contributes to the regional development because it accomplishes the ingression, production and distribution of richness. However, for a region to develop economically through Tourism, an adequate management of its dimensions and elements is necessary, aiming at the accomplishment of the LPS Tour indicators. The LPS Tour model is an adequate instrument to diagnose and to identify opportunities of improvement of the tourist activity, as a polarizer or as an alternative to regional development.

Full text\"The future today: the Radiojournalism education in the age medias\' convergence\" arises from the emergence of a new think about the training process of students university, in the current context, they are prepared to act as journalists in radio stations that have crossed the border of electromagnetic waves and settled also on the Internet, which offer audio content that converge with other media expressivity. This work, which is supported in Communication/Education interface, assumed the purpose of analyzing the occurrence, in the process of training in Radiojournalism, actions that link the theoretical/practical content ministered by medias\' converge. The distancing between the training and the reality came as a hypothesis and the possible lack of activities relating the Radiojournalism and the medias\' convergence. The methodology was based on a literature review, interviews and case studies, that verified training in Radiojournalism in journalism courses offered by leading universities in Brazil and Portugal, which were, respectively: the Departamento de Jornalismo e Editoração da Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (CJE - ECA/USP) and the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH/UNL). After undertake verification proposed, this study found that the media\'s convergence don\'t appear integrated with theoretical actions / promoted practices by the disciplines in Brazil and Portugal. Meantime it has become evident, in the training processes, the occurrence of technological convergence and content. It was concluded that such a finding allows enlarging in part the students the reality in which the Radio Journalism remains established. On the other hand, the lack of proposals exploiting the medias\' convergence of in the subjects characterized as unfavorable to the formation by don\'t provide to students, knowledge of this phenomenon enhanced by the presence and integration of media in the digital environment.
Salla, Thiago Mio. "O fio da navalha: Graciliano Ramos e a revista Cultura Política." Universidade de São Paulo, 2010. http://www.teses.usp.br/teses/disponiveis/27/27152/tde-04112010-142858/.
Full textThe aim of this study is to analyze the Northeastern portraits that Graciliano Ramos published in the magazine Cultura Política [Political Culture], the main publication of Estado Novos Departamento de Imprensa e Propaganda [New States Department of Press and Propaganda], or DIP, from March 1941 to May 1943. Given the material nature of such writings, that is, the fact that they were publicized in a specific time and editorial medium, we seek to examine their (consonant and dissonant) effects on the official publication, as well as the strategies used by the artist to move about on a political minefield during the regime initiated in 1937. As it is inferred from the analysis of the very texts and from the cultural debates in which they took part, it can be noticed that the writer, at that moment, seemed to be balancing on a razors edge: if, on the one hand, he was urged to cooperate, on the other, his fear of committing himself to the postulates of the dictatorship is perceived in the topics he selected and in the genre and style he adopted in his Quadros e costumes do Nordeste [Northeastern portraits and customs] (title of the section in which such texts were initially printed). At the same time, expanding the corpus of Graciliano Ramos writings, this study also makes available, as an appendix, a proposal for editing 58 texts by the author, not yet published in book, gathered during our fieldwork in various Brazilian archives. They consist of chronicles, articles, letters, speeches and even an excerpt of a play, still unknown to the general public, which help to delineate a more accurate profile of the artist and his work as a whole.

Full textThis research studies some aspects of Luigi Nonos (1924-1990) late work. It is based on analysis and interpretation of three important works of the Venetian composer: Fragmente-Stille, an Diotima, for string quartet, Das atmende Klarsein, for bass flute, double-bass, choir and live electronics, and Omaggio a György Kurtág, for contralto, flute, bass clarinet and live electronics. Each of these investigations focuses on three important principles of Nonos late poetics: the ideas of fragmentation, limit and suspension.

Full textThe following thesis investigates amateur videos of events, images shot by ordinary people that capture an occurrence of great media relevance. These amateur images are either incorporated by professional journalism and media groups or shared in digital platforms where, supposedly, they acquire a more autonomous status. Among the questions to be addressed regarding the topic of our investigation, we include: 1. The particular way these videos build reality effects, their realist traits and historical dimension. 2. The modes of obtaining truth effects and evidence value, their discursive dimension and connection with regimes of truth (Foucault, 2001). 3. The politics of aesthetics considering, as a hypothesis, that the phenomenon of massive sharing of amateur videos of events is associated with the emergence of new subjectivities. 4. The fact that these images are events by themselves and how they participate and intervene in larger scale occurrences; 5. Finally, the core issue of our research is to understand the importance of these images in our current media culture and what they reveal about contemporary visibility regime. The thesis is divided in four chapters. In chapters 1 and 2, we analyze consecrated images in the light of certain theoretical standpoints and guiding concepts. The first chapter is dedicated to the paradigmatic example of the Zapruder film, the amateur footage that captured Kennedy\'s assassination. On the second chapter, the nine/eleven events help us to understand the importance of amateur footage in the transformation of media coverage and of our contemporary visibility regime. The following chapters are dedicated to the analysis of Brazilian videos with high political content. In chapter 3, our main subjects are the images shot during the wave of protests that took over Brazil in June of 2013. The last chapter is dedicated to videos of police violence in Brazilian suburbs, registered by the local population, pieces of evidence with the strength to impose their presence in news agenda.

Full textThroughout the years, musical listening habits have suffered many changings, usually related to social tendencies and technological improvements. In the beginning of the 20th century, the man - machine- listening relation achieved a new level. During the first decades of the 21th century, the ubiquity of portable media (defined in this work as iPods, tablets and smartphones) promotes new alterations in the listening habits, therefore social and musical impacts. Beginning from the Walkman, one of last century\'s most acclaimed icons of portability, this work analyses the sequence of the following main devices and formats - each one with its particular cultural impacts - until reaching the 2010s, a decade dominated by MP3 and based on a unique musical listening experience. This work intends to reflect, through extensive research and bibliographical discussion, the main musical and social reorganization originated by the massive use of these devices as the urban leading musical listening vehicle, increasing the visibility and the relevance of more detailed researches in this area.

Full textThe Museum of Modern Art, Department of Eagles, a creation of Marcel Broodthaers, was founded in 1968 in Brussels and extinguished in 1972 in Kassel. This Museum allowed Broodthaers to assume the parodic form of an institutional authority\'s persona in the context of the emerging conceptual art. In this thesis we analyze its composition and grounds through the study and restoration of each of the twelve sections that constituted this fictitious Museum. For each of the sections, specific contingencies are addressed. The ensemble of remaining images in publications on the subject as well as advices and readings of its biggest partners beyond the literary legacy of the artist himself were investigated. Finally, the thesis presents a translation of allegorical trend that correlates the most striking aspects of this Museum which was created to analyse the production and circulation systems of art with the contextual factors of its short period of operation as well as potentially, and by analogy, with the current period.
Full textThis work studies the contribution of a group of Brazilian female singers (Tetê Espíndola, Vânia Bastos, Ná Ozzetti, Alzira Espíndola, Suzana Salles and Virgínia Rosa) in the aesthetic construction of the Vanguarda Paulista movement. In order to do so, we analyze musical and phonoaudiological elements, such as vocal behavior, compositional aspects, and musical arrangement. The studies of Regina Machado (2011), Paul Zumthor (2000), Adriana Cavarero (2011), Sergio Freitas (2010) and Luiz Tatit (2002) are considered as stepping-stones. We understand that the performance of those singers implies gender issues, since such issues pervade the presence of women in the artistic world, and with this regard we refer to the writings of Angela Davis (2016), Silvia Federici (2017) and Pierre Bourdieu (2012). Our hypothesis is that the sexual division of labor and other problems arising from male domination influenced the female occupation of public and artistic spaces, also interfering in the process of artistic creation. We establish connections with Rodrigo Gomes (2017) and Rodrigo Faour (2006) for studying the relationship between work and creation. In order to understand the gender representation in the poetics of the songs, under a historical light, we apply a methodology that includes parameters of harmony, semiotics and vocal behavior to examine the lyrics in six songs: \"Pássaros na Garganta\" [Birds in the Throat], \"O Pardal\" [The Sparrow], \"Ah!\", \"Man\", \"A hora da onça beber água\" [Time for the jaguar to drink water], and \"Fico Louco\" [I get crazy]. We thus proposed other aspects that relate to the subjectivities of the voice, as well as elements for a discussion about the visibility of the works and of the female artists who acted in the Vanguarda Paulista.

Full textAntarctica artes com a Folha (Antarctica arts with Folha [de São Paulo newspaper]) was a contemporary art exhibition held at the Pavilhão Manoel da Nóbrega (Manoel da Nóbrega Pavillion) in São Paulo in 1996. By bringing together 62 artists up to 32 years of age from 11 Brazilian states, the exhibition team formulated a powerful and widely disseminated exhibition statement of what, from their specific standpoint, would become the country\'s \'90s Generation. The aim of this thesis is to carry out a case study of the group show, emphasizing its link to social practices of valorisation of the \"capital of youth\" (Debord, 1997: 108), thus noting its role in establishing the always relative criteria and discourses of a \"young\" and \"Brazilian\" art in 1996. This involves firstly organizing a historical narrative that articulates the perspectives of the different agents who organized and produced the project, based on documents from that time, on wide media coverage and interviews granted by artists, curators, organizers, journalists, art critics, architects, and gallerists. And secondly, proceeding to examine the categories of discourses of the Antarctica, though in a way that is interspersed with the narrative exercise, in order to understand why and how the event\'s temporality was prioritized, namely as a one-time event, wherein ideas about generation and region were produced.

Full textThis dissertation presents the digital education within the contemporary times. The basis of this work comprises of two essential viewpoints: the pedagogical cybernetics and the age of networks. It also points out a panorama of the relations belonging to each topic, by establishing several relevant conceptual issues for the understanding of complexity about the topics. The study selects several topics in order to distinguish the essential dimensions in the paradigmatic changes, such as the society in the age of networks, the digital education in the age of networks, the evolution of technological instruments by considering paradigmatic implications in the educational field, and developing megatendencies of knowledge network. It still adds a case study for validating the presented topics under a conceptual and practical perspective. The discussion was based mostly in the reading of specialists literature, and in the selecting of several complementary documentation sources, which testifies the informational multidimensionality in a world of intense communication and information networks. Every source in its peculiar way provided resources for the conceptual tissue of the study. Internet was also a very fundamental source for treating some very advanced issues according to the digital education field.

Full textThe aim of this work is to analyze the compositional technique known as Gráfico para Fixar a Melodia das Montanhas do Brasil,[where composers translate physical shapes to musical parameters, or millimetrization] used by the composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959) for New York Sky-Line Melody (1939) and Symphony No. 6 - sobre as linhas das montanhas (1944).The launched hypothesis is that this technique cannot be sustained as a method that addresses the full construction of the musical discourse of such works, but simply as a procedure used for the preparation of its main themes.

Full textThis doctoral dissertation analyzed the processes of musical meaning in cinema using as theoretical fundament musicological studies of cognitivist and semiotic basis that have followed the theory of music topics after the work of Leonard Ratner (1985), Kofi Agawu (1991, 2009), Robert Hatten (1994, 2005, 2014) and Danuta Mirka (2014). The research concentrated in two cinematographic genres, the western and the science fiction, considering musical practices related to them since the silent movies, to understand the formation of an associative inventory that has become the basis of the topical thought in cinema. Analyzing the musical repertoire of each genre, we observe that the recurring use of specific figurations and other musical materials, related to elements of the film paradigms, has created what we called - \"sound imagery of a cinema genre\" . We defined this concept as the set of gestures, musemas, topics and concrete sounds often used in the music of that genre which contributed for the identification of the music with the images and the plot. The identification of the elements of this sound imagery helped us to understand the musical meaning by the perspective of the codes and myths that form the cinematographic genre. In relation to the formation of the sound imagery of the western and the science fiction genres, two antagonist tendencies have emerged, the role of folkloric and nationalistic traditions for the music identity of the western genre and the importance of avant-garde musical experiments for the construction of the science fiction sound imagery. The musical signs that cross the sound imagery of the cinematographic genre blend through tropological processes and transform themselves to follow the technical, poetical, technological and ideological developments that affect the fields of music and cinema. Besides the musical analysis, the markedness theory, applied to music by Hatten (1994), served as useful tool to analyze the role of antinomy that guide many of the cinematographic narratives. The adoption of the makedness theory contributed to reveal how the music alienate or familiarize the elements of the narrative. We also verified a possible correlation between the paradigmatic discourse of the topical references and the syntagmatic axis of the filmic form.

Full textPublic Diplomacy addresses the communication of a country\'s foreign policy to the international public opinion. Considered to be an interdi sci pl i nary theme between Communication and International Relations, the Public Diplomacy a theme scarcely researched in Brazil. This dissertation intends to participate in the discussion of the subject in the country, aiming to verify how the characteristics of Itamaraty\'s organizational culture impact on the role of the Press Office of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the development of Public Diplomacy. The analysis was carried out in comparison to the principles elaborated by James Grunig (2002) i n the Theory of Excellence i n Public Relations. The data selected for the analysis were col I ected through interviews with diplomats I inked to the Press Office of the Cabi net, diplomats outside the Press Office and journalists with experience in the coverage of international issues. The research was complemented with data extracted from the analysis of the Itamaraty\'s website and official social networks: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, SoundCloud and Instagram. The study revealed that the organizational characteristics of Itamaraty as bachelorism, formalism, esprit de corps, and elitism are present in the Press Office of the Cabinet, in a manner that it impacts the activities of Public Diplomacy, distancing them from the principles of Grunig\'s Theory of Excellence (2002).

Full textThe Collaborative Zones observed in the MetaReciclagem (MetaRecycling Network) that arose out of the field of on-line communication, which was already enveloping Brazilian digital culture, in 2002, from a conversation on the internet among a group of people debating the development of blogs, reuse/recycling of computer parts, the interdependence of these tools and the constitution of collaborative projects. The purpose of this study is about the communication between the members of MetaRecycling Network (MetaReciclagem) and it\'s process as constituted in Collaborative Zones, result in actions of intervention in social situations in Brazil. This study proposes a research-action methodology, through intervention in the discussion lists of MetaRecycling, thus proposing a meta-reflection on the actions and results of the movement over the years. It involves quantitative (through the collection of data in the MetaRecycling virtual environment (http://rede.metareciclagem.org) and qualitative approaches, collecting on-line statements and conversations between members that sketch out their opinions and exchanging ideas regarding the issues of the presented research. It also involves data analysis by means of a technique entitled content analysis and, within this, working with categorical thematic technical analysis. The results have shown that Collaborative Zones are capable of leading to collective brokering and social interventions, as well as public policies involving digital inclusion through the characteristics of the network and consequent engagement with people. Such transformations can only happen because of the non-hierarchical and noninstitutionalized nature of the MetaRecycling movement, which promotes the dissemination and replication of methodology that privileges the production of subjectivity and the appropriation of social technology in different cultural contexts.

Full textThis work analyses how the idea of social exclusion/inclusion has been showed in different television programmes. By looking systematically at its ordinary practices that include the ways the media and journalism are produced, we attempt to verify the approach of the theme through a kind of naturalizing discourse as well as the way these discourses reinforce stigmas. The approach of some fields such as French Discourse Analysis, Social Psychology and Sociology, allows discussing the construction of the identity and the social belongings of people under the exclusion rubric. Therefore, considering the hypothesis that the underclass are already instrumentally included in the public arena of a spectacular society, this research comprehends the manner the discourses effects including the scenes of enunciation - of some audiovisual products provoke subjections and highlight social differences as a natural issue through the positions already naturalized in the social field.

The first one is dedicated to the trajectory of Alexander Kluge in television and cinema and his incursion into other media, in order to verify the path that made the aesthetic project \"News from Ideological Antiquity - Marx/Eisenstein/Das Kapital\" (2008) possible. I devote the second part of my dissertation to contextualizing \"News from Ideological Antiquity - Marx/Eisenstein/Das Kapital\", that moves from the annotations of Eisenstein about filming Das Kapital according to the logic of Joyces\'s Ulysses, written between 1927 and 1929, concluding with an analysis of how Kluge approached such ideas from the Russian director. The third part is composed of four analyses of interviews belonging to \"News from Ideological Antiquity - Marx/Eisenstein/Das Kapital\" (2008) - with Galina Antoschewskaja, Peter Sloterdjik, Oskar Negt and Jean-Luc Godard - that show how Kluge uses examples of the translation process to claim a more poetic reading of Das Kapital by Marx

Full textThe purpose of this study is to analyze forms and relations of integrated organizational communication into the Economy of Communion perspective, in a Brazilian organization. The Economy of Communion (EoC) consists into a socio-economic project that had birth from the experience of Focolare Movement, a civil and ecclesiastic movement. Nowadays, EoC is dispersing around 40 countries, involving almost 800 companies. The organizational communication integrated in the Economy of Communion context presents peculiar characteristics. Analyzing the communications forms and relations developed in practice allow us to realize the importance of this new way of acting in the social and economic field. Adopting the phenomenological method and case study we entered the organization reality using this philosophy to find, in practice, what is presented in the ideological conception of this proposal. This study involves concepts not much adopted in the academy, such as Culture of Giving, new man and others, that when deeply searched reveal us a communicational praxis based on sharing.

Full textConsidering the theater plays subject to prior censorship present in the Miroel Silveira Files, we intend to investigate the ones released with cuts. Our analysis, trying to capture the censoring logic as an act of interdiction, focuses on censored text excerpts in which figures of speech were employed. Based on French Discourse Analysis Theories mainly in the works of Oswald Ducrot and the studies of rhetorical figures with the New Rethoric, we understand figures of speech as producers of discursive effects, magnifying presuppositions and implicatures. Our hypothesis is that the censorship interfered with crucial passages of the text, where sense was being made based on literary style resources, urging the public to adhere. In such process, the cuts reveal to us about the most commonly prohibited contents and, along with them, about the socially established conceptions present in the plays selected for analysis. We have focused on the plays which censorship certificate dated from the 50s or the 60s, trying to set the wider possible range regarding authorship of the pieces and regarding the themes of the censored excerpts. The textual architecture presented by the figures of speech was related to those of the implied contents. At the same time that we understood the exercise of censorship emerging from a triple coincidence of the same contents as being: figurative, implicated and censored.

Full textWith the emergence of the binary system and the convergence of digital media, communication devices such as cellular phones, computers and even television receivers have now taken on more than just the main functions for which each was developed. They are now part of, due to the interoperability between systems and the Internet, systems of which services and languages are now integrated to as well. If one was to focus entirely on television, it can be observed that television watching has now received new forms. The device itself is separate from the content. The TV signal moves away from its physical form and begins to navigate on the binary field. Thus, it is emancipated of its material form - the television device - and can now be seen on other platforms and devices, hence raising the signal\'s distribution and the possibilities of return channels to transmitters and receivers. This research has closely followed the digital television implementation scenario in Brazil and in the world, and observes the influences and transformations in introduced to society\'s daily routine and to the public arena by the digital system and the Internet. The thesis is structured in five parts that run through the different aspects related to television: its timeline and history, the technological principles that command its operation, the languages that distinguish it, its placement in the converging scenario, and is influence in society\'s daily routine. This project presents the result of a case study performed in 2014, during my Research Internship at the University of Sapienza, in Rome. It also includes data gathered during technical visits to the universities in Brighton and Portsmouth. This stage of the research allowed me to observe the current panorama of these countries in loco, two years after the switch off. It also gave me the opportunity to analyze the relationship of the Italians and the English with television media, as well as with other digital communications media and the relationship/opening of the television transmitters of each country to new transmission modalities of content on digital platforms. In order to perform this leg of the research, in addition to searching in bibliographical sources, I interviewed researchers and professionals of the radio broadcasting and telecommunications fields, who had directly participated in the analogue-digital TV transition process. In this thesis, I also present a report of a field study done in the East Side of São Paulo city. This study was developed with the help of educators and pupils of Intermídia Cidadã, a collaboration that belongs to the Community Communication Nucleus of the Tide Setubal Foundation. The experience, based on the Shared Production of Information, was helpful to showcase the arrival of digital television and the analogue blackout. It was also useful to consider the content of public TV in Brazil and to analyze the possibilities now available through digital TV for community communication. This research, of qualitative and quantitative intent, applied comparative and experimental methods and collected data through surveys, audio and video interviews, workshops, debates and bibliographic research. Among the authors mentioned, I would like to make special reference to the following: Mikhail Bakhtin, Lúcia Santaella, Sérgio Bairon, Arlindo Machado, Jesús Martín-Barbero, Gérman Rey, Nicholas Negroponte, Arlindo Machado, Eugênio Bucci, Manuel Castells, Clay Shriky, Henry Jenkins, Alberto Marinelli, Néstor García Canclini, Almir Almas, Jay David Bolter, Richard Grusin, Walter Benjamin, Rafael Ruiz and Márcia Tiburi.

Full textWe start from a technological communicative context marked especially by ubiquity, pervasiveness, the communication of things (LEMOS), events and beings that flow in information metaterritorialidades (DI FELICE) and by a huge amount of data generated by mobile technologies such as smartphones, sensors, and RFID tags. Such technological situation points to the ever-present possibility of any entity, human or not (glaciers, animals, trees, food, packaging, etc..), take digital-informative qualities, or meta code, experience other perspectives and enter into assemblages that transform them ontologically. This \"digital ecology\", bringing up the reticular formation of beings and environments, making transposable borders and diferences graspable, inaugurates an \"atopic dwelling condition\" (DI FELICE) which brings together bodies, technologies, still in a symbiotic and dynamic relationship. These novel processes engendered by new communication and information technologies impose on us the need to seek theoretical and conceptual alternatives for the dualisms derived from Great Divide (LATOUR) between Nature and Society, which founded the Modern Western thought and grounded the predominant conceptions in the scientific field of communication. The Latin American context in which this research is part represents an opportunity to establish not (only) European \"disturbing alliances\" (STENGERS) with non-scientific practices and thoughts, among which include Shamanism and Amerindian Perspectivism (VIVEIROS DE CASTRO), which , showed to reticular and ecological in its constitution, always engendering other types of relationship (or non-instrumental and dialogical or separatists) with nonhumans, considering all potential subjects, and part of his \"social\" also reveal their size communicative when their own practitioners, shamans, we compare the communication technologies of the \"whites\" (FERREIRA). From this contact, we present a possible shamanic idea of communicative networks, which, including not only the human dimension, the hermeneutics and the dialogical interaction, and understanding the relationship with the forest-land (ALBERT and KOPENAWA) and its entangled agents from an \"ontological anarchy\" (VIVEIROS DE CASTRO), a transit and a conection between worlds, becomes a fertile key concept to think digital communication and its potential

Full textThis work intend to identify the importance given to the study with users and how they are done during the planning and development stages of information devices in-car and how the Information Science area, protagonists in the study of needs, search and use of information in the most diverse media of information and communication technology, is related or can be added to the projects. Within the umbrella of Internet of Things, car manufacturers and technology companies are in an intense race to offer more content and applications. The car is already turning into a space of interaction, a common place where the users can approach and integrate their personal technologies. Numerous papers try to identify innovations and solutions, one of the most solid meetings that tries to assess the user context within the vehicular interfaces, are the Conferences AutomotiveUI, Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications. However, after a mapping of the published articles, it was noticed that only 50% had studies with users, and the majority of them had a vision extremely oriented to tasks and systems. Contrary to what is emphasized in Information Science, the research participants presented a merely spectator and statistical role, being structured in several exercises of drive simulation and statistical analyzes. Understanding the contexts, perspectives, needs, interactions, emotions, cognitive and situational aspects are essential to identify how a person interacts with a system, performs routine activity and solves questions. The doubt that appears is until when the focus will continue on the objects and when term as Internet of Things will be recognized as Internet of the Individuals. The areas approximation is given as a recommendation for the highest satisfaction, comfort and safety of all those involved in this race for a technological puzzle.

Full textThe thesis in [of] the black box is based on the principle of an entity that exemplifies itself in an archive scriptural system. Several Brazilian Contemporary Art pieces were acquired to form a collection which was used for cultural action and mediation purposes such as exhibitions and experiences involving the Brazilian art system in its formal and informal aspects. Objectives: To exemplify the literality role within the formal and informal art systems in order to have a consistency between the symbolic origin of language and the variations that appear in repetition [differance term used by Derrida] according the event law [in Jacques Derridas philosophy perspective] and the retrospective power of archival device of scripture. Results: The formal art collection was transformed into conceptual ballast for several artistic installations and exhibitions. The results of the cultural actions and mediation within the formal and informal circuits of the Brazilian art system were documented, beyond the thesis writing process [thesis scripture], in a DVD with the same title: The thesis in [of] the black box that shows [as a matter of proof], in three videos, the images of the above mentioned experiences.

Full textThe research aims to reflect on the question of documentation of performing arts and provide elements to the constitution of a documental heritage in that field. That involves the discussion of concepts related to the nature of performing arts and the role of specialized documentation, taking into account the ephemeral and fugacious nature of staging and the absence of policies, programmes, methodologies and actions that could stimulate the production and preservation of documental records in the field. The role of documentation as an artistic and cultural asset is discussed, as well as the notion of cultural heritage since its origin till present time, when intangible and documental dimensions of culture start to be comprehended by the official heritage policies. Having as a goal the formulation of specific policies for the constitution of a documental heritage of performing arts, by means of the development of performing arts collections, a documental typology is presented at this point, elaborated upon the study and analysis of the most common research methodologies in performing arts, specifically of those that have as a focus the theatrical staging. This typology maps out, defines and discusses the various types of document that can be produced for and upon staging. Those documental sets are grouped according to the production phases of a performing show: process of creation, staging, repercussion, study and research, systematic records and executive production. In order to prove the validity and effectiveness of that typology, it has tested by collecting examples from some performing arts collections in Brazil and abroad. The typology, besides enabling the elaboration of diagnoses on the existing collections, has proved adequate to guide the formation and development of performing arts collections.

Full textOur study recovers the path of community radio stations in São Paulo from its legalization, specifically seeking the procedures adopted by their teams to define and organize your schedule, to relate to their listeners, to solve their issues of financial sustainability and also reflect if the there is a place for education on the radio station. We have exercised different ways of analyzing the programming grids of those stations, here understood as resources that keep multiple kinds of information and may reveal the type of work they develop. We presuppose the fact that, if considered in its purpose and the ways they are designed, planned and organized, offers of a station programming reveal the identity of this radio and can also reveal the communicative and educational skills that prioritize in its path. Considering the claims of Roldão (2006) and Peruzzo (2011) that the characterization of a station is in its use and the content it generates, our findings came from analysis of three aspects: the station\'s program content, degree of dialogue with the listener and the way in which he expresses his commitment to the direction of the community. In practice, we find a station with little space for the participation of the listener, with reduced enthusiasm for change and with serious problems of financial support. Cultural supports, the only way to provide resources for sponsors or advertising, are regulated by quite restrictive guidelines. Legalized radio stations, do not dare to seek models and differentiated programming formats yet, nor have more democratic management in the conduct of their teams on behalf of the law of community radio broadcasting, which must respect not to lose the license to operate. In this contradictorily context, we were guided in a system of hypotheses in which the vast majority of low power stations operating in the city is already breathless if you considered the restrictions that compromise their survival and that are imposed in the law that regulated them. We also saw that each station has created a way to be present at the scene of broadcasting and is forging a new identity, still under construction.

Full textThe digitalization of the territory and its transformation into information flows (DI FELICE et al, 2012) resulted in a further way of being on earth, of being-in the contemporary world, more particularly in what the sociologist Massimo Di Felice (2009) defines with the concept of \"atopic inhabit\", developed from the thought of Heidegger. For him, rather than reside, dwelling refers to a relate to, to a communicate with, characterized by networked interactions of the human and non-human, technological, territorial collectives. Thus, more than the digital reproduction of the territory, it is a new environment, a \"metaterritory, a \"metageographical\" and informative one, and therefore dynamic and manipulable, whose dimensions are always reticular and unlimited (DI FELICE et al, 2012). It is in this scenario that is intended to outline the ways to propose the concept of \"ecopoiese\", here understood as an ecology that, instead of what the etymological sense may suggest, is the scope of the atopic and unspeakable. Your oikos is not localized and its logos is not explained. This ecology is post-humanist and, therefore, what is only human cannot define it and no single perspective can claim it as theirs. In this ecology, the interactions between human, nature and communication technology play a complex character and always produce hybridized assemblages which are different from merely technical interactions attributed to the Internet of Things

This research proposes performimg art pedagogy by means of body and musical education, which integrates such knowledge and experience of popular dance and music into the actor\'s processes of learning and creation. Thus, rhapsodic games are sung, danced, played and told games, which prompt the poetic voices and corporeity of narrators and players from our celebrations and cultural practices, in order to complement the theories and methods of the performing art pedagogy taught in Brazil.

Full textFor solving DAEs numerically, consistent initial values have to be calculated. This thesis deals with an approach for handling this problem for index-2 DAEs by considering projectors onto the spaces related to the DAE. There are two major aspects in this work.\\ On the one hand, new structural properties are deduced from weak assumptions. Subsequently, a method is proposed to choose suitable equations of an index-2 DAE, whose differentiation leads to an index reduction. This index reduction yields new theoretical results for the existence and uniqueness of solutions of index-2 DAEs which apply to a wider class of applications than previous results. Based on this method, a step-by-step approach to compute consistent initial values is developed. In this way, we gain new insights about how to deal with structural properties of index-2 DAEs. In particular, it turns out that, in comparison to index-1 DAEs, the additional step that has to be undertaken in practice often consists in solving a linear system. The numerical consequences of this fact are exemplified for two methods commonly used in circuit simulation, the implicit Euler method and the trapezoidal rule.\\ On the other hand, the application of the obtained results to the equations arising in circuit simulation by means of the modified nodal analysis (MNA) is worked out. Finally, a short overview of the specifics of their realization is given.
