Questo approcio ci lascia confermare, che il testo odierno di essa fu rittocato dai redattori posteriori per farla funzionare come un intermezzo tra il Decalogo e il Codice d'Alleanza. Cose da un lato viene rilevata la particolarita del Decalogo stesso, e da un altro il ruolo di Mose come l'intermediario nella transmissione delle altre leggi del Pentateuco.
