Abstract:
We analyze the dynamic behavior of the volatility of KTB futures price through GARCH models. In conducting this analysis we use two type data. Using dailly data we analyze the return and volatility spill-over effect between KTB spot and futures. Through 15-minute and 5-minute data we analyze return and volatility spill-over effect between KTB futures and won/dollar futures. We find that ARCH and GARCH effect exists in the volatility of KTB futures, but leverage effect does not exist in this data. Volatility spill-over effect was found only in 15-minute data. Lead and lag effect was found in 15-minute data of dollar and KTB futures where dollar return leads KTB futures and KTB volatility leads dollar volatility. In the daily data we found that KTB futures return lead KTB spot return while mutual spill-over existed between spot and futures in volatility data. Since conditional heteroscedasticity exists in KTB futures we need to consider the these effects in building up systems for arbitrage, valuation and risk management.

Education occupies an important position in the sustainability of a nation, so keep awake and not lose generation,(lose generation = a generation that does not believe in God). Israelites or Jews have a Pattern of education inherited from generation to generation to maintain the purity of their faith.Religion and dailly activities are not separated, Jews are believers and believe in one God; To keep it's parents teaching their childrens at home and in the community education by Jewish teachers (rabbi) in the synagogue.God instructs parents to teach their childrens and grandchildrens of the God in any time, any where; To keep the purity of a generation who fear God.

Abstract:
15100 Background: Pancreatic cancer is one of the cancers with very poor prognosis because of its diagnosis at an advanced or metastatic stages. There is no consensus on the optimal management of locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer. This phase II study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CapGem in patients (Pts.) with pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Methods: From January 2001 to December 2004, 30 pts with; histologically / cytologically proven, bidimensionally measurable locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, age 18∼75 years with ECOG performance status 0∼3, no prior chemotherapy, life expectancy >3 months, adequate bone marrow, renal, hepatic and haematological values were enrolled. It was an open - labeled, non-randomized, single - centered and prospective study. The pts received Capecitabine 750mg/m2 twice dailly, days 1–14,orally and Gemcitabine 1000mg/m2 days 1 & 8, intravenous infusion at an interval of 21 days. The efficacy was measured by response rates, CA-19.9 & pain status and safety was measured by adverse events and laboratory blood values. Results: This study consisted of 16 (53.33%) male and 14 (46.67%) female pts. Median age was 52 years. 18 (60%) pts were inoperable locally advanced and the remaining 12 (40%) were metastatic diseases where 8 hepatic and 4 pulmonary. In total, 152 cycles chemotherapy were administered with a median of 5.06 cycles per pt and 28/30 pts were evaluated for responses. The overall response was 9 ( 32.14%) with 2 complete and 7 partial responses. 14 pts (50%) had stable diseases and 5 (17.86%) had progressive diseases. There was 55% decrease in CA-19.9 and pain reduction was 60%. Overall survival was10 months. Grade 3 haematological toxicities were observed as follows: neutropenia 30% and anaemia 18%. Some non- haematological toxicities including nausea & vomiting 30%, diarrhoea 20% and hand foot syndrome 10% were observed. Conclusions: This phase II study supports the use of CapGem combination in chemo naive locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma due to its promising anti-tumor activity with well-tolerated toxicities in Bangladeshi pts. No significant financial relationships to disclose.

Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to present a developed spreadsheet tool for the formulation of a daily dairy cow ration. It is constructed on the basis of two linked sub-models developed on the MS Excel platform. It merges the common linear programming model and the weighted-goal programming model with a penalty function. The first sub-model is included in the tool to make an estimate of the least-cost magnitude that might be expected. The obtained result is entered into the second sub-model as the goal that should be met as closely as possible. The tool was tested at two different values of preferential weights for dairy cows with a 25 kg daily milk yield. The results obtained confirm the benefits of the applied approach. In contrast to the common linear program tools, which terminate at formulation of the least-cost ration, our tool provides more efficient rations (in both economic and nutritive terms) by fine-tuning the nutritive goals and by allowing for harmless deviations from these goals by application of penalty functions.

Jacob, Timothée. "Cession de créance et opposabilité." Thesis, Strasbourg, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015STRAA035/document.

Abstract:
As a technique connecting a legal element to its environment, "opposabilité" is a crucial caracter to assignment of receivables, as it will determine the efficiency of the operation in a context of entanglement of legal relations. The accomplishment of an "opposabilité" formality, distinct from the transfer of the property right between the parties and from possession, will enable the transfert to integrate the legal system by paralysing certains events, as for example competing assignments or the bankruptcy of the assignor. The identified lightening of the "opposabilité" formalism requires an adequate protection of the rights of third parties. The assignment will not be hermetic to its environment, as the radiation of certain legal elements will have an impact ont the contract concluded by the parties. Consolidated by the "opposabilité" technique, the assignment will remain vulnerable to the influence of the object of the transfert and to external real and personal rights

Olori, Victor Enishede. "Utilisation of daily milk records in genetic evaluation of dairy cattle." Thesis, University of Edinburgh, 1997. http://hdl.handle.net/1842/12729.

Full text
Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine how daily yield records might be used to improve the genetic evaluation of dairy cattle, which is currently based on 305-day yield predicted from monthly test day records. Daily milk yield records of 488 first lactation Holstein Friesian cows were obtained from one UK herd and summarised into weekly averages. Weekly fat, protein and lactose content records, from the same herd, were also obtained and each multiplied by test day yield to estimate fat, protein and lactose yields. Analysis of variance indicated that residual standard deviation (RSD) for each trait was lower when season of production was included in the model instead of the season of calving. The difference in RSD was more for fat and protein yields than the other traits. Lactation stage and season were the most important environmental factors affecting daily milk yield and composition while calving age had a small but significant (P<0.05) effect. Pregnancy accounted for 1.4 to 1.7% of the variation in yield traits but less than 0.4% of the variation in content traits. Its effects varied with gestation stage causing daily milk yield to decline by 3kg in the 8th month of gestation. A significant interaction between lactation and gestation stage was observed which suggested that the negative effect of pregnancy was higher in mid than late stages of lactation. Standard models of the lactation curve studied accounted for a substantial proportion of the variation in daily milk yields of typical lactations, which made up about half of the lactations studied. The other half was made up of atypical lactations such as highly persistent animals with almost flat curves whose lactation could not be adequately modelled with the standard curve functions. A regression spline model was derived which was as good as the best 3 parameter model and more flexible. These results indicate that models which make rigid assumptions about the shape of the lactation curve may not be very effective in accounting for the effect of lactation stage on daily yields. Yields of the same trait at different stages of lactation were positively correlated throughout but the correlation between yield and content traits was negative. Average correlation between milk yield and adjacent weeks was 0.93 declining to 0.61 between yields 41 weeks apart. Daily milk yields in mid and late stages of lactation were more highly correlated with 305-day yield than yields in early lactation. Covariance functions, using orthogonal polynomials up to the order of 4, were used to model genetic and permanent environmental covariances in a restricted maximum likelihood (REML) random regression (RR) model. Genetic parameters and breeding values were estimated for yield in every week of lactation. There were compared with estimates from a multivariate model, which considered yield at different stages as different traits, and a repeatability model without random regressions.

Abstract:
The purpose of this qualitative transcendental phenomenological study was to examine the usage, attitudes, and perceptions of personal response system (PRS) use by teaching faculty who had used the technology in at least one course at Montana State University (MSU) in Bozeman in the past six years. Fifteen faculty members who had used PRS in their teaching were interviewed on their usage, attitude, and perception of PRS use. The literature topics of effectiveness, teacher-student interaction, practices, faculty resistance, technical issues as well as assessment and feedback were incorporated into a protocol used during in-depth interviews. Overall, the results of this study were consistent with the literature. Faculty interviewed considered themselves among the first to adopt a new teaching technology, and had done so to address either increased class size or to formatively assess their teaching. Technical issues were minor and easily corrected through either technical support or peer support. Student registration was an issue, and the responses to this issue varied among faculty. Overall, faculty interviewed were satisfied with the technology and used it effectively based on the literature reviewed. Recommendations were made to encourage and expand the use of PRS and to remove the challenges experienced by faculty.

Abstract:

The Daily Special is a collection of seven short stories written during my Master of Fine Arts for Creative Writing career at California State University, Long Beach. The stories are linked thematically through a relation of food to a character’s psyche in order to exemplify characterizations or conflicts. The element of food is either mundane or centered; however, all the stories respond with the emotion of fear that later results in an act of acceptance. The fear stems from two outcomes, not fitting in or losing something of value. The characters have to face their fears and accept their current situations in order to move forward.

Abstract:
Regarding Japanese daily activities, there are a lot of situations of dislocation for persons after total hip arthroplasty. The objective of this research is to obtain an installation position and a shape of an artificial hip joint which reduce the risk of the dislocation even if the people do Japanese daily activities. Two magnetic positional sensors attached to body surface are used to measure motions of a hip joint between Westerner dairy and Japanese activities. As a result, adequate conditions of the artificial hip joint suitable for Japanese daily activities can be obtained.
