Long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks have been proven to be effective for time series prediction, even in some instances where the data is non-stationary. This lead us to examine their predictive ability of stock market returns, as the development of stock prices and returns tend to be a non-stationary time series. We used daily stock trading data to let an LSTM train models at predicting daily returns for 60 stocks from the OMX30 and Nasdaq-100 indices. Subsequently, we measured their accuracy, precision, and recall. The mean accuracy was 49.75 percent, meaning that the observed accu

However the husbandry practices of the modern dairy industry typically do not take social relationships into consideration, despite a growing body of evidence demonstrating important effects of social relationships on health and fitness in wild animals. Keeping cattle in large, unstable groups can lead to reduced welfare and productivity due to social stress and further research is needed to provide a beneficial social environment that can instead provide stress buffering effects. Over recent years, reflections regarding the inadequacy of many technologies recommended by the agricultural research and disseminated by extensionists to family farmers have grown. In the beginning of 2000‟s, Rio Grande do Sul northwest, a group of extensionists and researches evaluated that the practical result of this way of working was below farmers‟ demands, and the problem could have been related to the unfamiliarity with the context of technical problems, with repercussions in the formulation of occasionally inappropriate propositions.

Abstract:
Due to the rise in the elderly population and the prevalence of chronic diseases, healthcare organizations around the world are faced with an economic burden which will continue to grow. For this reason there is an urgent demand to reduce the intake of elders in hospitals and nursing homes by allowing them to live independently for greater lengths of time. In response to this demand, researchers are strongly focusing on 'telemonitoring', which is the use of information technology (IT) to monitor the health status of an individual from a remote location (e.g. their home). Many cases of this food-for-protection mutualism have been described and the next step is to understand the mechanisms that structure these interactions. In this study, this issue was addressed through field observations and experiments on ant behaviour in studies compiled into five chapters. Specifically, we evaluated the plant\'s investment in attracting ants (nectar quality) and the competitive relationship bet

T.ex., i nödsituationssystem.
