Abstract:

The Daoura watershed (35,000 km2) is part of the great southern pre-Saharan Moroccan half, where aridity is the major handicap and water availability is a precious resource for development. This water constraint is particularly acute in the context of global warming and its impact on regional water resources. Rainfall, as a key climatic element of the water resource, requires a more detailed and precise study in order to identify the possible beginning of such a change and the current rainfall trends. Such an objective required monthly rainfall data recorded on a dozen climate stations and for a period of more than half a century (1957-2018). After a Wong homogeneity test, a Principal Component Analysis, performed on the monthly rainfall variables, is used for the reconstruction of the missing data and for a spatial-temporal regionalization. The scores thus deduced from this regionalization will be used for an analysis of rainfall trends, according to the Man Kendall test, and for an analysis of the beginning of a change according to the Pettitt and Hubert stationarity tests. The results obtained contribute to the implementation of a sustainable management of water resources in a pre-Saharan environment where the oasis resources represent a major issue, strongly threatened by global warming.

Abstract:

Desalination of seawater is an alternative solution in arid zones to provide potable water. In south Morocco, the National Office of Electricity and Water (ONEE) has built many desalination factories. However, the osmosis water (permeate) is unbalanced and has a corrosive character. Therefore, a post-treatment of remineralization is necessary to return to water its calcio-carbonic equilibrium and to protect the distribution pipelines from corrosion degradation. Following the performance on limestone bed remineralization in Daoura plant in comparison with other methods, this article evaluates this technique, by checking the effect of parameters on water quality on the laboratory scale using a calcite bed pilot. We tested E.B.C.T (Empty Bed Contact Time), the upward speed, the bed length, the effect of water debit and the residence time on the treated water quality. Monitoring these parameters on the laboratory scale is indeed essential for optimal remineralization process. With the results of this study as well as economic consideration, it is possible to optimize the choice of the conditions needed for remineralization operation through limestone bed to minimize its costs with sizing and extrapolating to the industrial scale.

Abstract:

Le réservoir du barrage Daourat a fait l'objet, au cour du cycle hydrologique 1996-1997, d'une étude pour comprendre le fonctionnement hydrogéochimique du réservoir. Le régime hydrologique du réservoir Daourat (9,5 Mm3) résulte des apports externes et de la gestion propre du réservoir. La colonne d'eau ne présente aucune période de stratification (lac polymictique chaud) ni d'anoxie. L'influence des réservoirs situés en amont (Al Massira 2 800 Mm3 et Imfout 18 Mm3) ne permet pas d'expliquer le fonctionnement biogéochimique du réservoir Daourat. Cette retenue semble être beaucoup plus contrôlée par les apports du bassin versant local et par la charge interne du réservoir.

Abstract:

Les Accidents Vasculaires Cérébraux (AVC) sont une urgence de santé publique. Le présent travail vise à évaluer, dans la pharmacopée ivoirienne, les connaissances des phytothérapeutes puis à identifier les préparations médicamenteuses utilisées dans le traitement des séquelles des AVC, à déterminer leurs caractéristiques ethnopharmacologiques, phytochimiques, leur potentiel antioxydant et leur toxicité pour une meilleure prise en charge des malades. Les résultats des enquêtes réalisées auprès de 20 phytothérapeutes du Programme National de Promotion de la Médecine Traditionnelle (PNPMT) ont montré que l’hypertension artérielle est la principale cause des AVC et l’hémiplégie, la séquelle majeure. Parmi les 36 préparations collectées, 10 parmi les extraits aqueux ont fait l’objet de tests. Les résultats indiquent la présence de polyphénols, de flavonoïdes, de tanins, de stérols et de saponosides dans toutes les préparations. Daoutra Fort et Daoutra 3 sont celles qui ont présenté les teneurs les plus élevées en polyphénols (173913,8 et 151456,9 µg EAG/g MS) et en flavonoïdes (77,13 %et 75,07 %). Les résultats indiquent également que Ballo (CI50 = 0,0280 mg/mL), Daoutra Fort (0,0409 mg/mL) et Daoutra 3 (0,0593 mg/mL) présentent d’importants potentiels antioxydants. Les tests de toxicité aigüe ont indiqué que, pour les préparations, la DL50 est supérieure à 5000 mg/kg de pc. Elles peuvent être considérées comme non toxiques par voie orale. ABSTRACT Stroke are a public health emergency. The present work aims to evaluate, in the Ivorian pharmacopoeia, the knowledge of phytotherapists then to identify the medicinal preparations used in the treatment of the sequelae of stroke, to determine their ethnopharmacological and phytochemical characteristics, their antioxidant potential and their toxicity for a better taking in charge of the sick. The results of surveys carried out with 20 phytotherapists from the National Program for the Promotion of Traditional Medicine (PNPMT) showed that high blood pressure is the main cause of stroke and hemiplegia, the major sequel. Of the 36 Piba et al., 2020 Journal of Animal & Plant Sciences (J.Anim.Plant Sci. ISSN 2071-7024) Vol.46 (2): 8197-8211 https://doi.org/10.35759/JAnmPlSci.v46-2.4 8198 preparations collected, 10 of the aqueous extracts were tested. The results indicate the presence of polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, sterols and saponosides in all preparations. Daoutra Fort and Daoutra 3 are those which presented the highest contents of polyphenols (173,913.8 and 151,456.9 µg EAG / g DM) and of flavonoids (77.13% and 75.07%). The results also indicate that Ballo (IC50 = 0.0280 mg / mL), Daoutra Fort (0.0409 mg / mL) and Daoutra 3 (0.0593 mg / mL) exhibit significant antioxidant potential. Acute toxicity testing indicated that for preparations the DL50 is greater than 5000 mg / kg bw. They can be considered nontoxic by the oral route.

Abstract:

The Shenxian daohua ju of the Yuan dynasty closely relates to Daoism. However, the essence and boundary of these two concepts have not been clearly defined and delineated in the existing research, which leads to confusion in analyzing their relationship. This article provides methodologies for defining Shenxian daohua ju and Daoism. Based on the extant Yuan zaju texts and confined to the themes of seclusion, deliverance, and ascending to immortality, we enumerate the particular dramatic texts of Shenxian daohua ju. Then, we limit the objects of the concept of Daoism to specific Daoist sects in history and highlight that the criteria for determining whether a Shenxian Dao (Celestial Being Sect) belongs to Daoism are provided by the officially recognized Daozang (Daoist canon). According to the above understanding of these two concepts, we explore their relationship from the following perspectives. First, in terms of composition subjects, these include the frustrated Confucian literati, the vassal Kings, and the imperial literati; the Shenxian daohua ju written by frustrated literati in the Yuan dynasty is not the embodiment of Daoist doctrines as some of the researchers conclude. Second, in light of the “aesthetic distinction”, we can also take Shenxian daohua ju as pure literary works and interpret these dramas from their literary structures and rhythmical forms. Third, from the perspective of the literary tradition, although with the adoption of Daoist themes, the Shenxian daohua ju of the Yuan dynasty still belongs to the Confucian poetic tradition. Its negation of secular life and advocacy of the ideal world follow the Confucian poetic teachings of “criticizing those above”. Objectively speaking, due to the influence of Daoism, the Shenxian daohua ju with the Daoist themes breaks through the taboo topics prescribed in Confucian literary principles to a certain extent and enriches Chinese literature.

Ce travail concerne l'étude de la qualité physico-chimique de la masse d'eau du réservoir Daourat au Maroc ; situé sur le cours inférieur du bassin Oum Rbia. Une vidange du réservoir a lieu le 23 décembre 2001, l'impact de cette vidange sur la qualité physico-chimique de l'eau a été déduit à travers l'augmentation du débit à l'entrée et à la sortie du réservoir en décembre ; l'élévation du taux de la matière en suspension ; des concentrations en éléments nutritifs et de la chlorophylle " a ". Cette étude inclue également une analyse de régression qui a permis de déterminer une relation entre le phosphore et la chlorophylle " a " ; ainsi qu'une évaluation du niveau d'eutrophisation du réservoir Daourat. Les résultats fournis par les paramètres physico-chimiques ont révélé que la masse d'eau ne présente aucune stratification thermique ni anoxie et que le pH est alcalin. L'évolution des concentrations en éléments nutritifs dans la masse d'eau du réservoir dépend des apports exogènes et endogènes. Les apports exogènes sont dominés par les apports latéraux venant du bassin versant local peu boisé et caractérisé par un sol à vocation agricole responsable de l'enrichissement du milieu récepteur en éléments azotés. Les apports endogènes sont gouvernés par les interactions eau - sédiment suite à la minéralisation de la matière organique en période estivale et par le relargage d'éléments à partir du sédiment suite à la vidange et à la crue en période hivernale. L'impact de la vidange sur l'écosystème étudié a été déduit à partir des modifications des paramètres abiotiques et biotique enregistrés en décembre (période de vidange) dans le milieu du réservoir (S2) et son aval (S3). L'étude de la relation entre les orthophosphates et la chlorophylle " a " dégage une forte corrélation significative. Les données du phosphore et de la chlorophylle " a " classe le réservoir Daourat dans l'état hypereutrophe

The present paper is devoted to derive a generalized Oberhettingertype integral formula. The derived form of an integral involving the product of the four-parameter Bessel function and Jacobi polynomial. Abstract:

Aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) deals with the determination of sentiments for opinion targets. While historically this research task has been addressed with pipeline approaches, more recent works use neural networks to jointly deal with the aspect term and opinion term extraction, as well as the polarity classification. Although learned together, most NN-based approaches and all pipeline approaches do not model correlations between the tasks. This is also based on the absence of adequate datasets which are annotated for all sub-tasks in a unified tagging scheme. We address this bottleneck and introduce the first purposely designed and annotated dataset for ABSA. The DAORA dataset covers 2,100 Tripadvisor reviews, and it is annotated on aspect terms, opinion terms, as well as aspect term polarity, using a unified tagging scheme. It was designed especially for end-to-end aspect-based sentiment analysis of real-world reviews and does not use any sentence repetition or removal. We evaluate the DAORA dataset in several experiments employing state-of-the-art models for ABSA. We set benchmarks and analyze the strengths as well as weaknesses of the data and approaches.

Abstract This article outlines the progressive journey of Anne Rebecca Daoma in the Anglican Mission at the Cape in the years 1863 to 1936. Daoma was the first African woman from Central Africa, to be trained by the Anglican missionaries in South Africa. The article traces the life of Daoma, a Yao, from the moment when the Universities Mission to Central Africa (UMCA) missionaries set her free from the slave trade in Southern Malawi in 1861, and through some phases of her life at the Cape as a missionary and argues that colonial missionary life and culture fashioned her in becoming ‘Anne Rebecca Daoma’.

In the present paper, we establish some interesting integrals involving the product of Bessel function of the first kind with Jacobi polynomial, which are expressed in terms of Kampe de Feriet and Srivastava and Daoust functions. Some other integrals involving the product of Bessel (sine and cosine) function with ultraspherical polynomial, Gegenbauer polynomial, Tchebicheff polynomial, and Legendre polynomial are also established as special cases of our main results. Further, we derive an interesting connection between Kampe de Feriet and Srivastava and Daoust functions.

O artigo pretende desmistificar a lógica da retórica da harmonia e do viéspropagandista anti-adversarial que se insere nas sociedades desde a concepção dos métodosde ADR. Propõe-se demonstrar a lógica da harmony ideology que os sustenta por meio doestudo do desenvolvimento histórico dos métodos nos EUA e de sua expansão pelo mundo,em especial, no Brasil. A perspectiva crítica vem fundamentalmente por meio da análise daobra de Laura Nader, com o propósito de contribuir com o aprimoramento dos métodos e suaconsolidação no Brasil.

Abstract:

Motivated by earlier works (Wu and Zhu. Phys. Lett. B, 660, 293 (2008); Daouda et al. Eur. Phys. J. C, 72, 1893 (2012)), we extend them by considering a newly proposed model of (m, n)-type holographic dark energy in f(R) and f(T) gravity theories, where R and T represent Ricci scalar and torsion scalar respectively. Specifically, we reconstruct the two later gravity models and discuss their viability and cosmography. The obtained gravity models are free from ghosts, consistent with local solar system tests, and describe effective positive gravitational constant.

Cet article consacré à la poïétique d’Yves Daoust a pour objectif de délimiter un terrain heuristique et herméneutique pour appréhender son oeuvre musicale. À travers une investigation musicologique et sociologique de la présence de références historiques et d’artefacts sonores au sein de l’oeuvre de Daoust, il s’agit de questionner les processus poïétiques que met en place le compositeur pour favoriser une association à des lieux communs et la reconnaissance de repères symboliques pour les mélomanes partageant une expérience socioculturelle similaire. Il sera possible ensuite de se demander en quoi ce travail se révèle significatif du point de vue individuel et dans quelle mesure un sens précis s’en dégage à l’écoute. La notion d’identité deviendra essentielle à ce moment pour saisir pleinement la dialectique qui se joue dans son oeuvre entre mémoire et distance, entre identification et dépassement critique face aux lieux et événements interpellés. De sorte qu’à la fin de l’article, le lecteur pourra avoir une meilleure idée des niveaux de compréhension auxquels renvoie la musique de Daoust et du questionnement identitaire qui fonde son oeuvre tout en la transportant dans des avenues riches de sens.

Este artigo propõe-se à análise do romance O caso Meursault, de Kamel Daoud enquanto apropriação pós-colonial de O estrangeiro, de Albert Camus. O objetivo é investigar como Daoud reconstrói ficcionalmente a identidade árabe invisibilizada na escrita de O estrangeiro. O caso Meursault ressignifica o cânone literário através da reinvindicação da identidade do árabe assassinado. A voz enquanto instância de humanização é negada ao homem assassinado no texto camusiano, enquanto que, Daoud ocupa-se de uma enunciação pós-colonial para conceder-lhe voz, família, história e nome: Moussa. O aporte teórico baseia-se nas noções apresentadas por Homi Bhabha (2014), Edward W. Said (2011), Frantz Fanon (2008), Gayatri Spivak (2010), Daniela Burksdorf (2015) e Ankhi Mukherjee (2014). Conclui-se que a apropriação pós-colonial de Daoud revela uma ruptura com a invisibilidade da personagem árabe de Camus, ao mesmo tempo em que revisita o passado recente de dominação e exploração colonial francesa na Argélia.

Cet article s'intéresse à la spécificité de l’affrontement intertextuel qu’entretient « Meursault, contre-enquête » de Kamel Daoud avec « L’Étranger » d’Albert Camus. En fournissant « l’autre côté » de l’histoire et en élucidant la partie de celle-ci que L’Étranger a laissée dans l’ombre, la contre- enquête de Daoud décompose et recompose l’œuvre de Camus. Ce faisant, Daoud déstabilise la position du lecteur qui ne parvient jamais à une solution cohérente sinon définitive du crime, contrairement à ce que propose d’ordinaire au lecteur le roman policier à énigme. De plus, depuis sa position doublement marginale (celle d’un auteur francophone algérien qui adopte les codes du roman policier afin de reprendre un chef-d’œuvre), Daoud dénude les aspects métatextuels de la création littéraire en général, et par extension éclaire les mécanismes à l’œuvre chez Camus. Il parvient ainsi à subvertir les hiérarchies et à désacraliser l’œuvre canonique. Nous allons montrer que, dans ce combat intertextuel, l’écriture et le crime ne font qu’un : le corps du texte est comparé au corps-cadavre, le meurtre incite à la création littéraire et les mots « écrivain » et « tueur » deviennent synonymes.

Abstract:

The Ismail-1 is located northwest of the Bai Hassan Field (Daoud Culmination), within the administrative boundaries of the provinces of Kirkuk and Erbil, which was later named Ismail Field. The objective of the research is to determine the geological relationship (structural and reservoir) of the well Ismail-1 with the Bai Hassan Field (Daoud Culmination). Based on geological and reservoir studies and seismic surveys of the region, the first basis of the research was based on the stratigraphy, structural, reservoir and morph structure aspects of this relationship.In the beginning, the serial sequence of the well was reviewed and compared with David's wells. Then, cross-sections and long sections were drawn through the wells of Ismail-1 and Daoud wells, as well as, the fluid levels dotted on such sections. After that, a structural contour map was drawn on top of Jeribe Formation for the area of well Ismail-1 which is currently known as Ismail Field and part of the Bai Hassan Field (Daoud Culmination), depending on the structural and reservoir data. It was found that the area of the well Ismail-1 is an asymmetrical convex fold, the southwestern flank is more inclined than the northeastern flank, and the Daoud Culmination and the Ismailfold is separated by a narrow saddle. However, depending on the structural contour map of the top of Jeribe Formation (-1325) meters from the mean sea level, the deeper levels of which surround the two Culminations together, the similarity of the reservoir properties and the different levels of fluid in the Daoud Culmination and the area of the Ismail-1, all confirm that they are two separate Culminations of one field. So the so-called Ismail Field can be considered a third Culmination called Ismail Culmination of the Bai Hassan Field.Using topographical maps and satellites data, the morph structure and geomorphological phenomena of the northwestern extensions of the Bai Hassan Field (the area of well Ismail-1) and towards the Quir Field, were studied and the northwestern aerial extensions of about 18 km length and 5 km width were delineated.Thus, the Bai Hassan Field is consisting of three Culminations (from the southeast to the northwest, Kithka, Daoud and Ismail Culminations) with a total length about 50 km.

Résumé Dans le roman de Kamel Daoud, Meursault, contre-enquête, un antécédent littéraire existe, un lourd tribut y est porté, c'est le texte de L’Étranger. Abstract:

This research explores Algerian writer Kamel Daoud’s 2018 non-fictional text, Le peintre dévorant la femme. The text addresses questions relating to religious extremism, the meaning of art, death and eroticism, and the relationship between l’Occident and l’Orient through the visual aid of Picasso’s 1932 Année érotique. Central to this research is the notion of the hybridized public intellectual (Daoud) entering hybridized public spheres (Franco-Algerian and beyond). The consequences of operating within a plural readership suggest that Daoud, subconsciously or not, speaks to particular sectors of his western-French audience more so than the Muslim-Algerian ones, risking an imbalance. This research unpicks how Daoud negotiates the relationship between aesthetics and politics in his non-fictional writing, showing how his public move to an essai in 2018 can be read as facilitating a conversation with more a bourgeois, and potentially more republican, French audience. It also analyses Daoud’s representations of Picasso, Paris, the museum, and the gendered body in western and Muslim societies. By doing so, it attempts to highlight how although Daoud appears to offer a ‘double-edged’ critique of Algeria since independence and French neo-colonialism, his tendency to make generalizations about Islam sometimes unwittingly plays to French (and more widely, western) Islamophobic assumptions.

Abstract:

Herbal products developed by traditional healers are more and more in increasing in Africa. Unfortunately, there is often no safety data on these products. That is the case of an Herbal Medicine Product (HMP) called "DAOUTRA EPIGASTRO", widely used by local population in Daloa City-Cote d’Ivoire to treat chronic gastritis without knowing its harmlessness. This study aimed to study safety of this product by evaluating its acute and sub-acute effects on Wistar rats by oral administration. Acute toxicity test was assessed with a single concentration of either 500, 1000 and 3000 mg/kg bw of the product to female rats in the goal to determine clinical signs of intoxication and LD50. However, sub-acute toxicity test was carried out by daily administration of 300, 500 and 1000 mg/kg bw for 28 days duration in order to identify eventual modifications of hematological and biochemical parameters; then to appreciate histological changes of some selected intern organs. This operation was achieved by collecting blood and isolating hearts, livers and kidneys at the end of the experiment. As results, acute study showed that from day 7 onwards, the remedy administered at 3000 mg/kg significantly increased the weight of the rats compared to the controls, no mortality, no clinical sign of intoxication and LD50 was higher than 3000 mg /kg bw. For sub-acute exposure, the animals showed a stimulation of the appetite for food after consumption of the remedy "DAOUTRA EPIGASTRO". Except the increasing of AST and ALT content at 1000 mg/kg bw, no abnormal modifications were observed for hematological and biochemical parameters, then histological analysis didn’t show any alteration of selected organs. In addition, the difference in relative weights between treated and control rats were not statistically significant for the liver and heart. However, there was a significant difference between relative weights of liver at all treated rats in comparison to control. The study showed that the .....

Studies on Schizophrenia so far reveal a complex picture of neurological malfunctioning reported to be strongly associated with DAOA. Detailed sequence analyses proved DAOA as a primate specific gene having conserved gene desert region on both upstream and downstream region. The analyses of 10 MB chromosomal region of primates, birds, rodents, and reptiles having DAOA evidenced the conserved part in primates and in the rest of species, whileDAOAis only present in primates. DAOA has four isoforms having one interaction partner DAO. Protein-protein analyses of four DAOA isoforms with DAO were performed individually and find potential interacting residues computationally. It was observed that molecular docking of approved FDA drugs revealed efficient results but there was no common drug with effective binding to all DAOA isoforms. Library of compounds was constructed by virtual screening of 2D similarity search against recommended SZ drugs in conjunction with their physiochemical properties. Molecular docking resulted in six novel compounds exhibiting maximum binding affinity with selected four DAOA isoforms. However not the entire schizophrenic population responds to the single drug and interestingly in this study six novel compounds having promising results and same binding site to that DAOA that may be used to interact with DAO against four DAOA isoforms were observed.
