Abstract:
Groundwater is the main source of water supply in areas in Nigeria including the research area. The research is aimed at delineating groundwater potentials in Ganye and environs using Dar Zarrouk parameters. Fourteen (14) vertical electrical soundings were conducted across the study area in order to determine Dar Zarrouk parameters to determine groundwater potentials in Ganye and environs. The area is underlain by migmatite-gneiss and Pan African granites. Weathered/fractured basement constitute the aquifer type in the area. The aquifer conductivity in the study area range between 0.00871 to 0

The goal of this research is to obtain information related to aquifer quality, including aquifer protection capacity, transmissivity, and aquifer thickness based on vertical electrical sounding (VES) data and Dar-Zarrouk parameter analysis. The research area is located in Leihitu District, Ambon with 8 measurement points. The Leihitu region is included in the geological map of the Ambon sheet, Maluku, which consists of Late Pliocene - Holocene lithology, specifically Ambon volcanic rocks, reef limestones, and alluvial deposits. Abstract:
Aquifers along the coastal regions around the world are facing severe level of saline water intrusion problems. Rapid development and the associated increase in groundwater withdrawals intensify the problem. Extensive mapping of migration and extent of salt water plumes is difficult and costly. Several surficial geophysical methods have been developed for measuring salinity levels in coastal aquifers. The present study is an attempt to delineate the saline water and fresh water intrusion in parts of west coast of Maharashtra, India. A total of 86 vertical electrical soundings were carried out

Abstract: Determination of hydrological properties of the aquifer is of fundamental importance in hydro-geological and geoelectrical studies. An attempt has been made to review briefly the fundamental equations that form the basis of electrical prospecting and relationship with the aquifer parameters in terms of hydrogeologic and electrical soundings. The empirical relationship between hydrogeologic and Dar Zarrouk parameters will also need to review the concepts of anisotropy, equivalence, and suppression for characterization of the water quality through the electrical resistivity.

An attempt has been conducted to relate the electrical resistivity measurements with the transmissivity in the granitic aquifers of a watershed in the hard rock terrain of Andhra Pradesh state, India. Electrical sounding curves were interpreted and the electrical properties of the saturated zone were correlated with hydraulic conductivities and transmissivites obtained from slug tests. Earlier works support the direct relationship between the geoelectric and hydraulic parameters in the porous medium. Contrary to this, an inverse relationship is observed in the hard rock terrain (mainly graniti
