Big data is a concept that is expanding rapidly. As more and more data is generatedand garnered, there is an increasing need for efficient solutions that can be utilized to process all this data in attempts to gain value from it. The purpose of this thesis is to find an efficient way to quickly process a large number of relatively small files. More specifically, the purpose is to test two frameworks that can be used for processing big data. The frameworks that are tested against each other are Apache NiFi and Apache Storm. Abstract:
In recent years, the scope of Machine Learning algorithms and its techniques are taking up a notch in every industry (for example, recommendation systems, user behavior analytics, financial applications and many more). In practice, they play an important role in utilizing the power of the vast data we currently generate on a daily basis in our digital world. In this study, we present a comprehensive comparison of different supervised Machine Learning algorithms and feature selection techniques to build a best predictive model as an output. Thus, this predictive model helps companies predict unw

The large and ever-increasing amounts of multi-dimensional, multivariate, multi-source, spatio-temporal data represent a major challenge for the future. The need to analyse and make decisions based on these data streams, often in time-critical situations, demands integrated, automatic and sophisticated interactive tools that aid the user to manage, process, visualize and interact with large data spaces. The rise of `Web 2.0', which is undisputedly linked with developments such as blogs, wikis and social networking, and the internet usage explosion in the last decade represent another challenge

This thesis concerns the development of optimisation algorithms to determine the relative co-location, (localisation), of a number of freely-flying 'Smart Dust mote' sensor platform elements using a non-deterministic data-set derived from the duplex wireless transmissions between elements. Smart dust motes are miniaturised, microprocessor based, electronic sensor platforms, frequently used for a wide range of remote environmental monitoring applications; including specific climate synoptic observation research and more general meteorology. For the application proposed in this thesis a cluster

Abstract:
Machine learning is when a computer can learn from data and draw its own conclusions without being explicitly programmed to do so. To implement machine learning effectively and correctly, it is important to have a structured framework to follow. Today, there exist several different frameworks but no framework is suited for all purposes of machine learning. This thesis evaluates three chosen frameworks CRISP-DM, SEMMA and KDD for the purpose of imple- menting machine learning in signal processing. This study was conducted at Saab AB in Ja¨rf¨alla. Abstract:
The number of mobile applications has increased tremendously over the last decade, thereby also having increased the importance of mobile application testing. Testing is a very crucial process in the development of a mobile application to ensure reliability and proper functionality. In an Agile/DevOps environment, test automation is an integral part in order to support the continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment principle. There is a plethora of mobile application testing automation frameworks available in the market today. Android testing frameworks were chosen for this stud
