Abstract:
Abstract ICB therapy has transformed cancer treatment; durable responses in difficult-to-treat cancers have been observed. Despite this most patients (pts) don’t respond to ICB (primary resistance), and many pts who initially respond eventually relapse (acquired resistance). Primary resistance is associated with tumor cell extrinsic factors, e.g., the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment (TME), while acquired resistance is associated with tumor intrinsic factors, e.g., downregulation of MHC1, preventing T cell recognition. Treatments to overcome ICB resistance are necessary.

Abstract Excited state properties play a pivotal role in various chemical and physical phenomena, such as charge separation and light emission. However, the primary focus of most existing quantum algorithms has been the ground state, as seen in quantum phase estimation and the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE). Although VQE-type methods have been extended to explore excited states, these methods grapple with optimization challenges. In contrast, the quantum Krylov subspace (QKS) method has been introduced to address both ground and excited states, positioning itself as a cost-effective alt

Introduction: Placental blood biomarkers are dysregulated in adverse pregnancy outcomes (APO). While health behaviors are associated with APO risk, it is not well-characterized whether health behaviors impact placental blood biomarkers. Thus, we examined the associations between health behaviors and placental biomarkers of angiogenesis in mid-pregnancy. Hypothesis: Pregnant people engaging in healthier behaviors in the 1 st trimester would demonstrate more favorable 2 nd trimester concentrations of placental biomarkers. Methods: Data from 2,078 participants with available analytes from the Nul

Embroidery: A Subversive History Embroidery has a long history as a woman’s craft. Traditionally, the gendered history of embroidery as domestic, practical (utilitarian), and relational has placed it firmly in the category of craft, resulting in its exclusion from the male-dominated arena of art in public space (Emery; Durham; Jefferies). This traditional view of embroidery, and textile work in general, has been thoroughly challenged over the last 60 years. The second-wave feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s brought women’s textile work, and its private, domestic, relational subjects and

In The World Is Not a Desktop, Marc Weisner, the principal scientist and manager of the computer science laboratory at Xerox PARC, stated that, “a good tool is an invisible tool.” Weisner cited eyeglasses as an ideal technology because with spectacles, he argued, “you look at the world, not the eyeglasses.” Although Weisner’s work at PARC played an important role in the creation of the field of “ubiquitous computing”, his ideal is widespread in many areas of technology design. Through repetition, and by design, technologies blend into our lives. W

Introduction In 2017, 250 Indigenous delegates from across the country convened at the National Constitution Convention at Uluru to discuss a strategy towards the implementation of constitutional reform and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (Referendum Council). Informed by community consultations arising out of 12 regional dialogues conducted by the government appointed Referendum Council, the resulting Uluru Statement from the Heart was unlike any constitutional reform previously proposed (Appleby & Synot). Within the Statement, the delegation outlined that to

Abstract:
We have presented a newly developed Davidson-like algorithm to compute selected \textit{interior} eigenstates of the Liouvillian super-operator, and a recently introduced \textit{pseudo-Hermitian} variant of the Liouville-Lanczos approach to time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT). The new algorithms have been released as the new version of \texttt{turboTDDFT} in the \textsc{Quantum ESPRESSO} package together with an implementation of hybrid functionals. Our implementation has been thoroughly validated against benchmark calculations performed on a few moleucles using both the original
