Abstract:
DaVinci is an educational company that has two backing departments. One is aimed at children, namely DaVinci Publisher, and the other is for adults, namely DaVinci Academie. DaVinci Publisher is a department that offers education methods for children, and its vision is to develop kids with their educational products and materials about a way of thinking and learning. DaVinci Publisher has already gotten products to support children’s education from the design of the visuals and supporting media like textbooks, workbooks, binders, etc. However, DaVinci Academie still has nothing to support the education for adults and its target audiences who consist of directors, manager teachers, etc., and do not know about the messages that it carries. Finding the requirements to produce a suitable design of the visuals and the supporting media are needed to support the messages within a travel journey concept given by DaVinci Academie.

Some 350 years before the invention of photography, Leonardo DaVinci may very well have produced the first photograph - the Shroud of Turin. This extraordinary hypothesis attracted shroud experts Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, and their efforts to prove or disprove this theory resulted in their recent book Turin Shroud. During their shroud investigations, the authors delved deeply into historical lore, piecing together diverse facts and opinions including those of such figures as the Knights of Templar, alchemists, secret societies, and even Pope innocent VIII. The authors provided convincing evidence that the shroud could have been produced using photograph i c -like techniques that were within the identified capabilities of DaVinci. Most importantly, the authors were able to recreate shroud "look-alike" images with materials and techniques believed to be available to, or devised by, Leonardo DaVinci in the creation of the Turin Shroud.

In pelvic tumors, robotic-assisted techniques evade the need for sizable surgical exposure, but make stimulation of the nerves of the sacral plexus very difficult.OBJECTIVETo describe how laparoscopic robotic-assisted surgery can couple with tools such as the nerve stimulator to aid in the resection of presacral masses emanating from the neural elements and potentially improve neurological outcome by preventing inadvertent injury to involved nerves.METHODSA patient with a large presacral ganglioneuroma underwent resection using the DaVinci system (Intuitive Surgical, Sunnyvale, California) for robotic assistance. A nerve stimulator was coupled to the bipolar cautery instrument of the DaVinci robot to define the presence of functional nerves in the surroundings of the tumor.RESULTSBy coupling a nerve stimulator to the bipolar cautery instrument of the DaVinci robot (Intuitive Surgical), it was possible to identify important neural structures in close proximity to the tumor. After identifying functional nerves, the surgeon was able to preserve them and preserve neurological function avoiding motor dysfunction.CONCLUSIONThe use of a nerve stimulator coupled to the bipolar cautery instrument of the DaVinci robot (Intuitive Surgical) during laparoscopic, robotic-assisted surgery for resection of presacral masses is safe and feasible. In addition to the preoperative evaluation, intraoperative monitoring and stimulation of nerves in close proximity to the tumor and also exiting through neural foramina involved by the tumor allowed the surgeon to understand the anatomy and preserve neurological function while obtaining optimal surgical resection.

Objective Left ventricular thrombus is a rare entity usually associated with myocardial infarction. The daVinci Surgical System (Intuitive Surgical, Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif) offers excellent visualization of the mitral subvalvular apparatus and should provide an effective means to excise a left ventricular mass. Methods A 34-year-old man presented to an outside institution with fever of unknown origin and ulcerative colitis. As part of this workup, he underwent a transthoracic echocardiogram and subsequently a transesophageal echocardiogram that showed a 2-cm left ventricular apical pedunculated mass. He was referred to our institution for excision of this ventricular mass. Because of the pedunculated nature of the mass, he was deemed a candidate for a robotic-assisted minimally invasive approach. Results The patient underwent successful robotic-assisted excision of a left ventricular mass. Total robotic time was 15 minutes. Pathology revealed that the mass was a left ventricular thrombus. The patient experienced an uneventful recovery and was discharged home in 4 days. Conclusions Left ventricular mass excision can be safely performed with the daVinci Surgical System. The daVinci Surgical System offers excellent visualization of the entire left ventricular cavity.

This paper analyzes the microprocessor TM320DM642 and TM320DM6467(DM642 and DM6467 for short), both of which are based on the DaVinci technology, and presents two solutions for four video capturing and processing, as DM642+TVP5150 and DM6467+TVP5158. Hardware platform based on DM642 has been established and tested. High resolution panoramic video of bird's-eye view is rendered smoothly on the platform. The result shows that microprocessor of DaVinci technology has excellent performance for the panoramic parking assistant system, and DM642 microprocessor meets the hardware demands of the panoramic parking assistant system.

Abstract Problem Statement: Developing creative potential is a current problem, because this experience facilitates the access to the development of the inner potential, especially in children. This research presents an experiential learning program, called DaVinci Workshops, which is a Romanian experiential perspective on enhancing creativity in children.Purpose of Study is to find out if creative potential can be enhanced through certain experiential learning activities.Methods: This research included intervention trainings, made in 12 sessions, on a number of 122 non-clinic subjects, aged between 6-11 years. The research had a pre-test post-test design, while classical tests from Guilford and Minnesota measuring flexibility, fluidity and originality were used.Findings and Results: The tested factors of the creative potential were enhanced, implying a development of the creative potential.Conclusions and Recommendations: Enhancing creativity through experiential learning activities is a very pleasant process for children, who are very positive and enthusiastic during this kind of programs, with numerous good outcomes. Keywords: creativity; intervention; experiential learning; children.

A motion object detection method is presented based on Davinci platform. This paper adopts color histogram algorithm to detect moving target, which is operated on TMS320DM6446. In continuous frames, probability distributions of both foreground pixel and background pixel are counted separately to build color histogram. Background probability can be computed based on gauss model. After background separation, we can use median filtering to suppress image noise, detect connected domain, converge foreground pixels to make up of moving object regions and mark them. The results show that the method presented has good accuracy and quick speed for realtime application.
