Organic nitrates are used in cardiovascular disorders therapeutics. However, chronic use of organic nitrates leads to tolerance, a phenomenon characterized by reduction of its hemodynamic and anti-ischemic effects. The incidence of sudden death is higher in epileptic people compared to the general population and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) is second only to stroke in the years of potential life loss among the major neurological disorders. It has also been suggested that cognitive theory and therapy does not always adequately identify, conceptualise, and address these identity problems. Fibrillin-1 is the main component of the 10-12 nm microfibrils, which are found in several elastic and non-elastic tissues. Human fibrillin-1 contains multiple calcium-binding epidermal growth factor-like (cbEGF) domains interspersed with transforming growth factor β-binding protein-like (TB) domains. TB4 domain contains a flexible RGD loop which mediates cell adhesion via αVβ3, α5β1 and αVβ6 integrins. In this thesis, we consider heterotic string vacua based on a warped product of a four-dimensional domain wall and a six-dimensional internal manifold preserving only two supercharges. Thus, they correspond to half-BPS states of heterotic supergravity. The constraints on the internal manifolds with $SU(3)$ structure are derived. This thesis studies the evidence related to warfare and warriors in the Early Iron Age of Greece, from the eleventh to the early seventh century B.C.E. It argues that "warrior" identity, as expressed through burial with weapons or depictions of armed men and combat in pictorial painting and literature, is connected to violent action in order to create, maintain, and reinforce the relationship between authority and violent action. Meiotic recombination is initiated by self-inflicted DNA breaks and primarily involves homologous chromosomes, whereas mitotic recombination involves sister chromatids. Whilst the mitotic recombinase Rad51 exists during meiosis, its activity is suppressed in favour of the meiosis-specific recombinase, Dmc1, thus establishing a meiosis-specific mode of homologous recombination (HR). At the forefront of this study was the investigation of a new Ion-pair Reversed-phase liquid chromatography (IP-RPLC) method, that had the potential to replace a previously established triethylammonium acetate (TEAA) IP-RPLC method developed for oligonucleotide separations. This method, utilising the counter ion dibutyl amine (DBA) and a Tris-buffer at pH 8, produced promising results indicating that the strong binding strength of DBA creates a hybrid IEX/RPLC
