Carlo Crespi (1891-1982) e Alberto Maria De Agostini (1883-1960), padres salesianos italianos, estiveram envolvidos em atividades missionárias na América do Sul, na primeira metade do século XX. Na década de Vinte, realizaram documentários com imagens que retratavam populações indígenas, na Amazônia equatoriana e na Patagônia/Terra do Fogo, respectivamente. Aqui procuro reconstruir historiograficamente e contextualizar essa produção visual com as trajetórias dos dois autores e com os dilemas políticos, ideológicos e etnográficos que cercavam a ação evangelizadora dos salesianos naquele período e nessas regiões.

Resumo: Este artigo tem como objetivo levantar uma discussão sobre a concepção de felicidade na era contemporânea. Felicidade muitas vezes fragmentada, rompendo com a relação alteridade, fundamentando-se em um subjetivismo e materialismo. Como metodologia, trabalharemos com autores como Aristóteles, Agostinho, Pascal Bruckner, Zugmunt Bauman, entre outros. Por fim, conclui-se que a felicidade fora tomada no mundo contemporâneo diferentemente do período clássico e medieval, vista em uma postura materialista e subjetivista de esvaziamento do Eu e do “real” significado da vida feliz, contudo, se sabe que este “real” significado é amplamente problematizado ao ponto de nos depararmos com a seguinte questão: qual é verdadeira matéria do contentamento da felicidade? Esta, por sua vez, mais que algum tipo de telos a ser alcançado, parece-nos que se trata de uma postura existencial do indivíduo diante da própria existência. Palavras-chave: Materialismo. Subjetivismo. Felicidade. Existência. Abstract: This article aims to lift a discussion on the conception of happiness in the contemporary era. Happiness often fragmented, breaking with the relationship otherness, basing on a subjectivism and materialism. As a methodology, we will work with authors such as Aristotle, Augustine, Pascal Bruckner, Zugmunt Bauman, among others. Finally, it is concluded that happiness was taken in the contemporary world unlike classic and medieval period, seen in a materialistic attitude and emptying of the subjectivist I and the "real" meaning of happy life, however, if you know that this "real" meaning is largely problematicthat we faced with the following question: What’s true the contentment of happiness? Ce texte présente des données inédites concernant l’un des plus importants auxiliaires des chamanes kaingangs contemporains, une figure énigmatique connue dans le sud du Brésil sous le nom de São João Maria ou « o Monge », le moine. Il s'agit du moine itinérant d’origine italienne, Giovanni Maria de Agostini, qui a parcouru les Amériques de 1838 à 1869. Bien qu’il n’ait jamais été canonisé, ce dernier est considéré comme étant l'un des plus importants saints du catholicisme populaire régional. De plus, il est associé par les historiens au mouvement messianique « Guerra do Contestado », un soulèvement populaire qui s'est déroulé dans le sud du Brésil de 1912 à 1916. Les témoignages recueillis auprès des Kaingangs sont ici comparés avec des récits provenant du Nouveau-Mexique et du Pérou, récits qui se sont formés de façon indépendante après la rencontre avec Agostini.

Este artigo visa recuperar alguns aspectos da mensagem, da mística e da missão de João Maria d´Agostini, considerado profeta e santo na região onde, entre os anos de 1912 a 1916, aconteceu a guerra do Contestado. Destacaremos as principais idéias que o moveram e que estiveram na base de suas pregações e diálogos. Este artigo procura considerar a sua mensagem mais original, aquela que se encontra nas mais diferentes obras existentes que tratam do assunto. Queremos, com isso, abrir um caminho de compreensão da mensagem de João Maria e de como ela foi sendo ressignificada junto aos descendentes do Contestado. Este artigo apresenta aspectos relacionados à vida, aos costumes, à religiosidade, à moral, à cosmo visão e demais dimensões da vida humana e da biodiversidade, contidas no discurso de João Maria e na memória popular do Contestado a seu respeito.

2009 - 2010<br>La tesi, scandita in cinque capitoli, dopo un inquadramento teorico della letteratura di viaggio, che configura quest’ultimo come metafora di un percorso di conoscenza, si concentra sulle origini del mito letterario costituito dal locus patagonico. Vengono indagate le motivazioni odeporiche di Antonio Pigafetta, autore della relazione del primo viaggio intorno al mondo; le conseguenze della “deformazione” da lui operata circa le dimensioni degli abitanti del Fin del Mundo (deformazione che ha fornito suggestioni alla parola poetica di Shakespeare e al pensiero di Vico); alcune forme dell’immaginario occidentale in rapporto al tema dello Stretto e della scoperta del passaggio a sud-ovest da parte di Magellano.
Una parte della tesi è dedicata a una tematica che si ritiene sin qui piuttosto trascurata nella tradizione culturale della Patagonia: la presenza (l’operosità) femminile in una regione da sempre considerata “terra per uomini”. La tesi ricostruisce alcune microstorie femminili (viaggiatrici, pioniere, bandoleras), che attraverso la contingenza del loro precario esistere, permettono il formarsi di un quadro più veritiero e articolato della macrostoria. Questa parte della tesi è completata, attraverso l’analisi dei testi letterari, da una ricostruzione del “viaggio”, doloroso e complesso, che la cautiva (donna bianca rapita dagli indios) ha dovuto vivere fra due civiltà diverse e tra loro antagoniste.
La tesi si occupa, infine, di due esploratori italiani poco conosciuti ai più, ma che hanno grandemente contribuito alla conoscenza delle regioni magellaniche, delle montagne patagoniche e delle etnie fuegine: Giacomo Bove e Alberto Maria De Agostini.
La Patagonia “minore” di questo studio (che ha rinunciato a “oggetti culturali” come Chatwin, come Coloane o Sepúlveda) sottolinea l’elemento del racconto presente in tutte le tipologie di viaggio e le scritture analizzate, e conferma la tesi di partenza: la Patagonia, per i suoi caratteri estremi, attiva nel viaggiatore una produzione di immagini di tipo proiettivo e di contatto profondo con la psiche.
Fra le esperienze di scrittura raccolte (a parte, ovviamente, gli illustri autori del canone rioplatense presenti nel capitolo dedicato alle cautivas), viene segnalato, per dignità e compiutezza, il caso di Alberto Maria De Agostini, nella cui prosa divulgativa trapela un’intenzionalità circa la dimensione formale che appartiene di diritto alla letterarietà del testo. 2014_ArturAraujoSantos_Parcial.pdf: 1004989 bytes, checksum: d5e32398e1697f0321c227b0607dd7e5 (MD5)<br>Por meio da aproximação entre duas experiências cristãs deslocadas no espaço e no tempo, o Cristianismo Tessalonicense e o Cristianismo do Movimento do Contestado, o objetivo da dissertação é refletir sobre os processos de elaboração cultural que levaram à radicalização das experiências religiosas. Os Tessalonicenses paulinos de meados do século I e os Contestados sul-brasileiros do século XX evidenciam, em suas histórias, uma disputa teológico-prática que percorre toda a história do cristianismo, a saber, os refluxos escatológicos decorrentes da assimilação de tradições apocalípticas. Os documentos referentes aos dois contextos serão lidos à contrapelo, à maneira benjaminiana, auxiliados pelas abordagens dos historiadores Ginzburg, Koselleck e Hartog no que tange à compreensão dos fluxos do tempo histórico. Pelas influências já identificadas no quadro de pregadores itinerantes no messianismo-escatológico do Contestado e pela necessidade dialógica da aproximação com a comunidade cristã antiga de Tessalônica, um momento mais recuado e ligado à atuação do primeiro monge João Maria, século XIX, foi escolhido como ponto balizador para o cruzamento com a pregação e a carta paulina de Primeira Tessalonicenses. A pregação muitas vezes severa do monge, o ajuntamento de pessoas ao seu redor, bem como os milagres a ele atribuídos perturbavam a coesão social à maneira da pregação de Paulo, no século I. Como desdobramento da análise em contraste articulada com a concepção de eixos “comparáveis”, sob o prisma do antropólogo Marcel Detienne, destaca-se o fato de que as práticas desassistidas, porém autônomas, dessas comunidades, rumaram em direção a tradições confinadas dentro do próprio cristianismo.<br>Through the rapprochement between two Christian experiences displaced in space and time, Thessalonian Christianity and the Contestado Christianity Movement, the aim of this work is to reflect on the cultural development of processes that led to the radicalization of religious experiences. Pauline Thessalonians from the middle of the 1st century and the Southern- Brazilian Contestado Movement from the twentieth century make evident in their history both a theological and practical dispute that traverses the entire history of Christianity, namely, the eschatological reflows resulting from the assimilation of apocalyptic traditions. The documents for the two contexts will be read in sharp contrast to the way Benjamin, supported by the approaches of historians Ginzburg, Koselleck and Hartog regarding the understanding of the historical time flows. Considering the influences already identified in the framework of itinerant preachers in the eschatological messianism Contestado Movement and the need for dialogical approach to the ancient Christian community of Thessalonica, a more distant time and linked to the performance of the first monk João Maria, nineteenth century, was taken as the point beacon to the junction with the preaching and the pauline letter of First Thessalonians. The often severe preaching of the monk, the gathering of people around him, as well as the miracles attributed to him disturbed the social cohesion in the manner of Paul's preaching in the first century. As an extension of the analysis articulated to the design of "comparable" axes, under the anthropologist Marcel Detienne prism, stands out the fact that the unassisted practices, however autonomous, from communities, headed towards traditions confined within Christianity itself.

Previous issue date: 2005-05-04<br>The Contestado is one of the greatest popular movements and armed conflicts in the history of Brazil. It happened between 1912 to 1916 and embodied a region equivalent to one third of the Santa Catarina territory and the southwest of Parana. Not only the geographic amplitude and the long period of war but it is also remarkable the involvement of some tens of thousands of people with great number of deaths. The Contestado scarred and still influences the life, culture and religiousness of the ones who survived and their descendents.
This dissertation studies and explains the Contestado mystics, from a symbolic-cultural perspective and from the current reception and new significance to João Maria s words. This mystical experience and its message still lives in various expressions and religious representations of the Contestado descendents. Retrieving them, from their origins to the present days, is the path walked by this dissertation.
Around the Contestado and João Maria s message, several myths, rites, symbols, sacrifices and prayers have appeared, and are still kept in the popular memory of the Contestado descendents and reinterpreted in their religious experience. After almost a century, the Contestado itself has been given a new significance in a way that the cabocla community finds in it a sense, an inspiration and a mystical experience that allow them to live in the present in a sympathetic way, with esteem and acknowledgement, facing the harsh reality in which they find themselves, trusting in better days.
After a revision and bibliographical analysis, retrieving historical, geo-political, social-economical and specially cultural and religious aspects of the Contestado, the most precious information in this dissertation were borrowed, from the people s popular testimonies, who keep alive the memory of the message and the mystics of João Maria. Thus, it was possible to trail a path for retrieval and valuing of the culture and the religious and popular experience of the Contestado.<br>O Contestado é um dos maiores movimentos populares e conflitos armados da história do Brasil. Ele aconteceu durante os anos 1912 a 1916 e abrangeu uma região que equivale à terça parte do território catarinense e o sudoeste do Paraná. Além de sua amplitude geográfica, do tempo prolongado da guerra, impressiona o fato de que o mesmo tenha envolvido diretamente algumas dezenas de milhares de pessoas e milhares de mortos. O Contestado marcou e continua ainda hoje a influenciar a vida, a cultura e a religiosidade dos que dele sobreviveram e seus descendentes.
Essa dissertação estuda e explica a mística do Contestado, desde uma perspectiva simbólica-cultural e a partir da recepção e ressignificação atuais da mensagem de João Maria. Esta mística e esta mensagem sobrevivem em diversas expressões e representações religiosas dos descendentes do Contestado. Resgatá-las, desde as suas origens até os dias atuais, é o caminho percorrido por esta dissertação.
Em torno do Contestado e da mensagem de João Maria surgiram diversos mitos, ritos, símbolos, sacrifícios e rezas que ainda hoje são conservados na memória popular dos descendentes do Contestado e reinterpretados em sua experiência religiosa. Depois de quase um século, o próprio Contestado já foi ressignificado de tal forma que a comunidade cabocla encontra nele um sentido, uma inspiração e uma mística que lhe permite viver no presente de maneira solidária, com estima e reconhecimento, enfrentando a dura realidade em que se encontra, confiante em dias melhores.
Depois de uma revisão e análise bibliográfica, resgatando aspectos históricos, geopolíticos, sócio-econômicos e, especialmente, culturais e religiosos do Contestado, foram emprestadas as informações mais preciosas desta dissertação, contidas nos relatos de pessoas do povo, que guardam viva a memória da mensagem e da mística de João Maria. Com isso foi possível trilhar um caminho de resgate e valorização da cultura e da experiência religiosa e popular do Contestado.

Previous issue date: 2013-09-30<br>The theme Pessoa by Bethânia is the recreation of Caeiro's verses from the performance Rosa dos Ventos- O Show Encantado (Compass Roses - The Enchanted Show), having Maria Bethânia as interpreter. The corpus is the "Poem VIII" from Alberto Caeiro, Fernando Pessoa's heteronym, extracted from the work O Guardador de Rebanhos (The Keeper of Sheep) (1911 - 1912), transformed into a dramatic-musical script, made as a performance during the Compass Rose show. Reinterpreted through voice, body, music and various scenic resources, the poem by Fernando Pessoa wins another dimension in the passage going from text to literary work, in the design of Paul Zumthor, actually, going from the written word in book to bodily presence, updating the virtual scenic and vocals from the preliminary poetic texts. The research aims to answer a key question about the factors that conduct to the redefinition of "Poem VIII" in scenic performance, with the hypothesis that between poem and performance was preserved the same evocation of a new baby Jesus, close, human, simple and pure, stripped of the dogmatic symbolism that the Church imposes to his image and, likewise, it reiterated the role that poet and performer assumed as a kind of "demiurge" not in concept, but in sensations. On the other hand, the "Poem VIII" had lost, in the performance, its desecrating aspect, the high and ironic critic level of dogmas' Church, like the Caeiro's poem presents in the original version. In addition to the concepts of voice, performance, text and work of Paul Zumthor, the concept of "persona", having as a starting point Renato Cohen' studies about the performative act, was extremely important for the analysis of the dramatic-vocal performance of the interpreter Maria Bethânia. The comparative analysis between the poetic text and the passage for its performative work can states the validity of the hypothesis, in order to emphasize a new sacralization, now by the interpreter, invested with an aura that puts her in the intimacy of this new baby Jesus making his alive, every time the show takes place, and, as a ritual, sharing him with the public<br>Pessoa em Bethânia tem por tema a recriação dos versos de Caeiro no espetáculo

e tornado performance no espetáculo Rosa dos Ventos. Reinterpretado por
meio da voz, do corpo, da música e dos mais variados recursos cênicos, o poema de
Fernando Pessoa ganha outra dimensão na passagem do texto a obra, na
concepção de Paul Zumthor, isto é, de palavra escrita no livro a presença corporal,
atualizando as virtualidades cênicas e vocais do enunciado poético. A pesquisa se
propôs a responder a uma indagação chave sobre os fatores condutores da
ressignificação do Poema VIII no espetáculo cênico, tendo por hipótese que entre
poema e performance preservou-se a mesma evocação de um novo Menino Jesus,
próximo, humano, simples e puro, descarnado da simbologia dogmática que a Igreja
lhe impõe e, da mesma forma, reiterou-se o papel que poeta e intérprete assumem
como uma espécie de demiurgos não de conceitos, mas de sensações. Por outro
lado, o Poema VIII perde, no espetáculo, o seu aspecto dessacralizador, de alta
voltagem critica e irônica dos dogmas da Igreja, tal qual o poema de Caeiro
apresenta em sua versão original. Além dos conceitos de voz, performance, texto e
obra de Paul Zumthor, o conceito de persona , a partir dos estudos sobre o ato
performático de Renato Cohen, foi de extrema relevância para a análise da atuação
dramático-vocal da intérprete Maria Bethânia. A análise comparativa entre o texto
poético e sua passagem para obra performática pode constatar a validade da
hipótese, de modo a enfatizar uma nova sacralização, agora da intérprete, investida
de uma aura que a coloca na intimidade desse novo Menino Jesus e o torna vivo, a
cada vez que o espetáculo acontece, e, como num ritual, partilha-o com o público

Superati «novant’anni d’impazienza» e dopo un lungo periodo votato all’autocommento e all’esplorazione delle proprie intenzioni, Raffaele La Capria ha raccolto le sue opere in due Meridiani curati da Silvio Perrella. La Capria ne ha celebrato l’uscita nella prolusione inaugurale di Salerno Letteratura, poi confluita nel breve autoritratto narrativo "Introduzione a me stesso" (2014). In questa sede, l’autore è tornato su alcuni punti essenziali della sua riflessione sulla scrittura, come la relazione, reciproca e ineludibile, fra tradizione e contemporaneità. All’epilogo del «romanzo involontario» di una vita, La Capria guarda retrospettivamente alla propria esperienza come ad un’autentica educazione intellettuale. Perciò, muovendo da un’intervista inedita del 2015, riportata integralmente in appendice, la tesi ha l’obiettivo di ricostruire l’apprendistato letterario di La Capria dai primi anni Trenta, quando l’autore ancora frequentava il ginnasio, fino all’inizio dei Sessanta, quando ottenne il premio che ne avrebbe assicurato il successo. Il percorso, che riesamina l’intera bibliografia lacapriana nella sua varietà e nella sua stratificazione, si articola in una serie di fasi interdipendenti: la partecipazione indiretta alle iniziative dei GUF (intorno alle riviste «IX maggio» e «Pattuglia»); l’incursione nel giornalismo e l’impegno culturale nell’immediato dopoguerra (sulle pagine di «Latitudine» e di «SUD»); l’attività di traduttore dal francese e dall’inglese (da André Gide a T.S. Eliot); l’impiego alla RAI come autore e conduttore radiofonico (con trasmissioni dedicate a Orwell, Stevenson, Saroyan e Faulkner); la collaborazione con «Il Gatto Selvatico», la rivista dell’ENI voluta da Enrico Mattei e diretta da Attilio Bertolucci; e le vicende editoriali dei suoi primi due romanzi, “Un giorno d’impazienza” (1952) e “Ferito a morte” (1961), fino alla conquista dello Strega. La rilettura dell’opera di uno scrittore semi-autobiografico come La Capria, attraverso il costante riscontro di fonti giornalistiche, testimonianze epistolari e documenti d’archivio che avvalorano e occasionalmente smentiscono la sua versione dei fatti, diventa allora un’occasione per immergersi nella sua mitografia personale e avventurarsi in territori finora poco esplorati: come la ricostruzione del suo profilo culturale, a partire dal milieu in cui La Capria vive e opera, o l’incidenza delle letture e delle esperienze giovanili sulla sua prassi letteraria.

This investigation centred on the perception and subjective interpretation of the artistic work, which is closely related to the experience of the spectator. My analysis thus focused on the spectator’s physical and perceptual interaction with specific works, which was activated by the effects of reflection.
Reflection is considered in the theoretical and philosophical writings of Merleau-Ponty and Jacques Lacan as a fundamental element in the construction of the identity and ego consciousness of each individual. I therefore analyse the impact of the theories of both philosophers on the conceptual approach to artistic production in the 20th and 21st centuries. The artworks mentioned here have in common the deepening of the collective perceptual experience. In these sculptural environments or installations each spectator constructs his or her perceptual experience of space from the interaction with others. Space is understood here as real space, including both architecture and nature. Reflection is in this investigation also approached from the technical and methodological point of view of the sculpture. In this case, it results from a combination of materials that were specifically designed and prepared by the artists to create the most diverse reflecting surfaces. Finally, a selection of original studies, experiments and sculptures is presented in the final chapter. They were conceived during this master's degree and stemmed from my experiences with reflection. The final chapter highlights two sculptural works and the conceptual process that preceded their production. It also emphasises the relationship between my artistic practice and all the research and investigation developed within the scope of this project.

Chapter 6, by Daniela Palma, Alberto Silvani and Alessandra Maria Stilo, analyses the role of research and innovation as key drivers of economic growth, and as an object of renewed concern in the European policy agenda. In this regard, however, special attention has been paid to the role played by public funding with respect to the now more than ever complex evolution of technological innovation and the need for the productive structure to be supported to continuously capture the potential of new technologies. Starting from a well-established ground of most recent analyses carried out on main R&D indicators by major institutional organizations, the authors present a work aimed at bringing out the nature of “system infrastructure” of European research activity, calling for the need to assess to what extent the resources dedicated to R&D and the relative spending modes are able to turn into an effective development lever, starting from the structural characteristics of the entire research and innovation system. They claim that, in order to overcome the existing differential between EU countries in research and innovation performances, rebalancing public funding, while orienting intervention towards common initiatives, is not enough. The implementation of a new course of public investment research policies should instead envisage a renewed orientation of the strategies consistent with the new course of missions/objectives formulated at the European level and, at the same time, point to a coordination with policies aimed at increasing the innovative potential of the economic system, in relation to the characteristics of the productive specialization of each country.
