Abstract:

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the influence of militant commitment on old age and the influence of old age on militant commitment. Here are depicted the life courses of iron miners in Lorraine, who extended their militant commitment, born in the mines, beyond their closing and beyond old age. Crossing sociology of militant commutment and sociology of aging and old age, this research reveals the positive effects of militant commitment on the aging process and on experience of old age in its cognitive, psychological, psychosociological and social aspects

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to understand the way the world of rock in Lorraine works. It is based on an ethnographic fieldwork added to sociology of mediation. From this point of view, the world of rock can be considered like a world populated by human and not-human mediators. It follows that reality is composed by an heterogeneous mix of actors, objects and devices. Where each one acts and makes act. Consequently, they are as much produced by the world of rock than the world of rock is produced by them. Their collective action is distributed within networks. Networks of bodies and things, which hold and make the world of rock as far as they are also networks of tastes and attachments. Which are connected with each others by means of many experiences

Abstract:

The precipitations present a succession of dry and wet sequences. The discharge deficit is near to etp (600mm). The river flow is studied for two hydrological stations (period:1970-87). The flow variability is similar to the precipitations. For these two hydrological stations, the comparaison of annual discharge shows the influences of the substratum. Abstract:
This thesis aims to understand the world of theater lovers in the Lorraine region, by reporting on two aspects of theater practice: that of the user (spectator) and the theatergoers (actor, director amateur). It is based on an ethnographic approach of theater lovers in the Lorraine region. This study identifies the actors of the cultural transmission and try to formulate the contemporary issues of it. The approach of participative observation is used to restore the physical engagement of the persons concerned and to realize the importance of sociability associated to cultural practices. This work tries to give a place for the analysis of taste and emotion in amateur practice. The focus is on human and nonhuman interactions, and on the commitment devices. It also attempts to clarify the possible ways to become professionalized for these fans

Abstract:
Architectural and structural recovery of “mastio” and its courtyard of the new fortress of VolterraThe recovery of the “mastio” and the surrounding courtyard of the new fortress of Volterra (1472-1474) has as its objective the opening to the public of this fortified work, after 542 years from its construction, with the possibility of being enjoyed without interposing with the prison function of the complex, it also represents the possibility of knowledge and study of a constructive typology in the context of the Renaissance fortified architecture of the Italian school called “transition” with the use of the first artillery. The fortress was born as a military garrison and at the time of Lorenzo the magnificent only a part was used as a prison, it will be definitively transformed into a House of Imprisonment during the Grand Duchy of Lorraine in the middle of the eighteenth century. It is the first work by Francesco di Giovanni di Matteo called the Francione (1428-1495), it has an almost square shape with large cylindrical towers at the corners (rondelle) and at the center of the inner courtyard, a large cylindrical tower like of “mastio” (donjon) and inserted the artillery in the walls. The “mastio” consists of a basement and five floors above ground with a domed roof and connected by a narrow spiral staircase. After the cognitive essays carried out on the internal domes of the “mastio”, placed in the first three floors including the cistern, the presence of “hemispherical domes” emerged, made by workers of the Opera del Duomo in Florence, built entirely in bricks without the carpentry of “centina” (self-supporting), with the system called “alla fiorentina”, as well as the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence by Filippo Brunelleschi. This construction system is also applied in the fortified structures of Pietrasanta, Poggibonsi, Sarzanello, Castrocaro, Pisa and Terra del Sole.

Abstract:
This paper deals with near past, ongoing and planned R&D works on fission products (FPs) behaviour in Reactor Cooling System (RCS), containment building and in Filtered Containment Venting Systems (FCVS) for severe accident (SA) conditions. For the last topic, in link with the Fukushima post-accident management and possible improvement of mitigation actions for such SA, the FCVS topic is again on the agenda (see Status Report on Filtered Containment Venting, OECD/NEA/CSNI, Report NEA/CSNI/R(2014)7, 2014.) with a large interest at the international scale. All the researches are collaborative works; the overall objective is to develop confident models to be implemented in ASTEC SA simulation software. After being initiated in the International Source Term Program (ISTP), researches devoted to the understanding of iodine transport through the RCS are still ongoing in the frame of a bilateral agreement between IRSN and EDF with promising results. In 2017, a synthesis report of the last 10 years of researches, which have combined experimental and fundamental works based on the use of theoretical chemistry tools, will be issued. For containment, the last advances are linked to the Source Term Evaluation and Mitigation (STEM) OECD/NEA project operated by IRSN. The objective of the STEM project was to improve the evaluation of Source Term (ST) for a SA on a nuclear power plant and to reduce uncertainties on specific phenomena dealing with the chemistry of two major fission products: iodine and ruthenium. More precisely, the STEM project provided additional knowledge and improvements for calculation tools in order to allow a more robust diagnosis and prognosis of radioactive releases in a SA. STEM data will be completed by a follow-up, called STEM2, to further the knowledge concerning some remaining issues and be closer to reactor conditions. Two additional programmes deal with FCVS issues: the MItigation of outside Releases in the Environment (MIRE) (2013–2019) French National Research Agency (NRA) programme and the Passive and Active Systems on Severe Accident source term Mitigation (PASSAM) (2013–2016) European project. For FCVS works, the efficiencies for trapping iodine with various FCVS, covering scrubbers and dry filters, are examined to get a clear view of their abilities in SA conditions. Another part, performed in collaboration with French universities (Lorraine and Lille 1), is focused on the enhancement of the performance of these filters with specific porous materials able to trap volatile iodine. For that, influence of zeolites materials parameters (nature of the counter-ions, structure, Si/Al ratio …) will be tested. New kind of porous materials constituted by Metal organic Frameworks (MOF) will also be looked at because they can constitute a promising way of trapping.
