The severity of take-all, caused by Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici, was measured with lime, rotation and flutriafol treatments in a long-term field experiment. The incidence of eyespot lesions caused by Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides was also measured. Flutriafol reduced the number of plants with deadheads or no heads and resulted in 12-60% more grain yield. However flutriafol had no effect on the number of plants with eyespot lesions. The number of plants with deadheads or no heads was highest (50-53%) on the wheat which was a third consecutive crop and on soil which had been amend

Statewide surveys quantified the density of sugarcane tillers killed by D. saccharalis (deadhearts) from sugarcane fields across the state in spring from 2003 to 2020. Abstract:
The Grateful Dead is a rock and roll band formed in 1965. For thirty years the Grateful Dead have attracted a following of faithful fans, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, known as Deadheads. The lead singer, guitarist, composer and figurehead of the band was Jerry Garcia. Beginning in the late 1960s, a community grew around the band. To some Deadheads, Jerry represented a father, grandfather, guru, spiritual leader or a god. I argue that this community of fans constitutes a subculture. A discussion and description of this subculture is included. In August of 1995, Garcia died in his sle

Abstract:
As transit agencies expand, they may outgrow their existing bus storage and service facilities. When selecting a site for an additional facility, an important consideration is the change in bus deadhead time, which affects the agency’s operating costs. Minimizing bus deadhead time is the subject of many studies, though agencies may lack the necessary software or programming skill to implement those methods. This study presents a flexible tool for determination of bus facility location. Using the R dodgr package, it evaluates each candidate site based on a given bus network and existing depots

PurposeOne of the main advantages of the proposed model is that it is flexible to generate n-day pairings simultaneously. It means that, despite previous researches, one-day to n-day pairings can be generated in a single model. The flexibility in generating parings causes that the proposed model leads to better solutions compared to existing models. Another advantage of the model is minimizing the risk of COVID-19 by limitation of daily flights as well as elapsed time minimization. As airports are among high risk places in COVID-19 pandemic, minimization of infection risk is considered in this

Abstract Background Spotted stem borer- Chilo partellus - a Lepidopteran insect pest of Sorghum bicolor is responsible for major economic losses. It is an oligophagous pest, which bores through the plant stem, causing ‘deadheart’ and hampering the development of the main cob. We applied a label-free quantitative proteomics approach on three genotypes of S. bicolor with differential resistance/ susceptibility to insect pests, intending to identify the S. bicolor’s systemic protein complement contributing to C. partellus tolerance. Methods The proteomes of S. bicolor with variable resistance to
