Abstract:

Barium Zirconate is a material valuable in many aspects. Among all the significant characteristics of (BZO), the possibility of hydrogen interstitials is of great importance. With the help of X-ray diffraction analysis, many kinds of structure-related information of a crystal sample can be collected. In this thesis, the XRD pattern of hydrogen induced expansion and contraction of oxygen atoms in the BZO perovskite lattice is investigated both experimentally and theoretically.

In the European XFEL, electrons bunches are accelerated up to 20 GeV and thenenter undulators where coherent X-rays are produced which can be used for imaging atva molecular level. This study was an investigation of the relationship between rapid automatized naming (RAN) and reading in a sample of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students who use American Sign Language (ASL). Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second most common cause of cancerrelated mortality worldwide. AKT pathway has been found activated in 50% of HCC cases, making it promising target. Therefore we assess efficacy of the allosteric AKT inhibitor or the combination of Sorafenib with AKT inhibitor compared to untreated control and to standard treatment, Sorafenib, in vitro and in vivo. Salt is a common substance of which the structure has been investigated in this study. Molecular dynamics simulations has been performed of a solution of Caesium Chloride in water for four different concentrations. Radial distribution functions show a change in the structure of oxygen-oxygen with increasing concentration, especially for the second solvent shell. Contributions of the ions increases the separation between the water molecules and a long range peak of approximately 0.9 nm appears for higher concentrations.
