Abstract:
Previous research in social psychology has suggested that ostracism has a negative impact on SE, and also can affect how much food individuals will consume. Moreover, research in the eating disorders literature shows a negative relationship between self-esteem and eating. As such, the present experiment was designed to merge these two lines of research to examine what causal role, if any, self-esteem plays in men\'s and women\'s food consumption. It was proposed that some individuals should show a lack of self regulation in terms of the type and amount of food eaten following ostracism. It was

<p>This paper investigates the environmental effectiveness of the Swedish energy taxes. That is, whether these have decreased the CO2 emissions and how they have changed the structure of the energy consumption. Time series data for the years 1960-2002 is used. The results show that the oil and coal taxes seem to favour a substitution towards less CO2 intensive energy sources. For the natural gas tax however, the opposite is true. An energy saving effect is found for the oil tax and the petrol tax, but the electricity tax seems to increase energy consumption. Regarding the total effect on CO2 e

The intensification of the current systems in term of inputs and outputs lead to raising the concerns about the impact on the environment. Considering the background found in literature and its highlighted gap, the hypothesis of this thesis are (1) to survey within-farm soil and yield variability in order to delineate the homogeneous zones and productive potential; (2) study the synergy between conservation agriculture and precision agriculture allowing the optimization
