Abstract:
Thawed plasma (TP) refers to defrosted fresh frozen plasma stored refrigerated. TP is used in human medicine for the rapid provision of coagulation factors and resuscitation of haemorrhagic shock, but its use in dogs is poorly described. The objectives of this historical case series were to describe the reasons for TP transfusion, treatment outcomes, and adverse events associated with canine TP transfusions in a veterinary teaching hospital. We hypothesised that TP would be used most commonly for the treatment of haemorrhage secondary to anticoagulant rodenticide intoxication and trauma. Blood

The blood service is one of the most technologically saturated branches of medicine since the quality of the final product and the patient’s health depend on the processing technology of the blood and its components. Abstract:
Cryopreservation compromises the capacity of sperm fertilizing due to a series of alterations in the structure and physiology of the sperm. The use of antioxidants, such as melatonin, added to freezing media, may help to reduce sperm cryoinjury. To test the effect of melatonin on Bulldog (Canis lupus familiaris) sperm cryosurvival, spermatozoa were diluted in a standard freezing medium and cooled to 5°C. Then, more freezing medium was added to obtain 200 × 106 cells/mL, and 5% glycerol. Diluted spermatozoa were treated with melatonin (0.0, 0.0005, 0.002, and 0.0035 mol/L), and packaged in 0.25

Human amnion transplants were preserved using 3 methods: silicate drying, lyophilization, cryopreservation. The blood of healthy volunteers was used as a source of platelets. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with a platelet content over 1000 thousand/mcl and more was isolated from the donors blood, frozen at -80 °С and defrosted at 0–4 °С to prepare platelet lysate. Abstract Background Ischemic stroke (IS) is a principal contributor to long-term disability in adults. A new cell death mediated by iron is ferroptosis, characterized by lethal aggregation of lipid peroxidation. However, a paucity of ferroptosis-related biomarkers early identify IS until now. This study investigated potential ferroptosis-related gene pair biomarkers in IS and explored their roles in immune infiltration. Results In total, we identified 6 differentially expressed ferroptosis-related genes (DEFRGs) in the metadata cohort. Of these genes, 4 DEFRGs were incorporated into the compet
