Abstract:
The temperature dependence of the viscosity of inorganic glasses in the glass transition region is successfully described by the Williams--Landel--Ferry (WLF) equation. For the studied glasses, the value of f_g=1/C1 weakly depends on the nature of the glasses. There is a linear correlation between delta delta Tg and Tg. From the data on the parameters of the WLF equation C1 and C2, we calculated delta delta Tg, as well as the relaxation time of the structure taug at the glass transition temperature of the glasses under study. The objective of this work was to evaluate peroxidase activity and protein concentration in the defence system expression of common bean Phaseolus vulgaris L., submitted to different potencies of homeopathic preparations. The treatments were composed by: Arsenicum album, Staphisagria, Silicea and Sulphur, in the 6, 12 and 18 CH potencies, compared to the controls. The bean seeds were sown in pots which were kept in a greenhouse and the treatments were applied to them at 1% in distilled water since the sowing day, with intervals of 15 days until the R7 stage. The topographic relationship between previously identified medullary ventral surface respiratory chemosensitive regions and brain surface extracellular fluid (ECF) acid production during acute hypoxia was explored in anesthetized, paralyzed, and artificially ventilated cats. Glass pH electrodes (0.8-mm diam, sheathed in stainless steel tubing) were mounted in mechanical contact with surfaces of medullary surface or adjacent pyramids, pons, spinal cord, or parietal cortex. The influence of the surface pH (pHs) on the intracellular pH (pHi) and the recovery of pHi after an imposed intracellular acid load was investigated in isolated sheep cardiac Purkinje fiber, rabbit papillary muscle, and mouse and rat soleus muscle. pHs and pHi, respectively, were continuously measured by use of single- and double-barreled pH-sensitive glass microelectrodes. Surface acidosis, usually obtained by superfusion with solutions of acid pH, was also produced with low buffered (5 mM N-2-hydroxyethylpiperazine-N'-2-ethane-sulfonic acid) solutions at control pH. In general, composite materials are widely used in many industries. A composite material is a material composed of two or more components. Such a composite material differs in its properties from the individual components of the entire composite. This contribution is aimed at evaluating the parameters of selected composite materials - wood fiber boards, carbon prepreg boards and epoxy boards. The measured quantities that were investigated on the given materials were the modulus of elasticity, the loss modulus and the tan delta angle.
