This paper presents a new numerical method for multiscale modeling of composite materials. The new numerical model, called DECM, consists of a DEM (Discrete Element Method) approach of the Cell Method (CM) and combines the main features of both the DEM and the CM. In particular, it offers the same degree of detail as the CM, on the microscale, and manages the discrete elements individually such as the DEM—allowing finite displacements and rotations—on the macroscale. ZusammenfassungKapitel 4 richtet den Blick auf das Untersuchungsmaterial und methodische Vorgehen der empirischen Studie über die organisationale Wissensgenese und Wissensverwendung in der deutschen Automobilindustrie anhand von Social-Media-Analysen. Den Anfang macht ein Exkurs in die sozialkonstruktivistische Perspektive, die die gesamte empirische Forschung in theoretischer Hinsicht gerahmt hat. Darauf folgend wird die Grounded Theory Methodologie als der Forschungsstil dargelegt, an dem sich die vorliegende Arbeit in ihrer empirischen Umsetzung orientiert hat. Es schließt sich ein weiterer Exkurs in die Wissensart des Expertenwissens an. Im Mittelpunkt des Kapitels steht die Darstellung der empirischen Erhebung sowie der Auswertung des Untersuchungsmaterials. Die Datenerhebung wie die Datenauswertung werden nacheinander in je mehreren Etappen beschrieben. Um die Erhebung der Daten abzubilden, wird nach einer Vorstellung der Methode des Experteninterviews das Erhebungsinstrument betrachtet, welches erarbeitet wurde und zum Einsatz kam. Nach einer Darstellung des Erhebungszeitraums geht es um den Feldzugang sowie die Fallauswahl. In weiteren drei Etappen wird die empirische Auswertung der Daten erläutert. Im Anschluss an einen Einblick in die Datenaufbereitung wird der entlang des Codierparadigmas der Grounded Theory Methodologie realisierte Codierprozess erklärt und die durchgeführte Typenbildung vorgestellt.

ZusammenfassungKapitel 1 leitet in die hier vorliegende soziologische Untersuchung ein. Zunächst wird ihre Fragestellung grob umrissen, anschließend ein Überblick über die einzelnen Kapitel gegeben. In theoretischer Hinsicht ist die Studie unter Bezugnahme auf den Sozialkonstruktivismus entstanden, empirisch hat sie sich an der Grounded Theory Methodologie orientiert. Reflexiv wurde die innerhalb der deutschen Automobilindustrie angewandte Praxis der Methode der Social-Media-Analysen rekonstruiert. Es handelt sich daher auch um eine Meta-Analyse der von dem betrachteten Unternehmen praktizierten Forschung. Die Forschungsarbeit zeichnet die von der Organisation angewandte Praxis der Methode der Social-Media-Analysen im Kontext des Phänomens „Digitalisierung“ mit einem Bezug zu Big Data nach und bildet so anhand eines konkreten Fallbeispiels die ‚Konstruktion’ von Wissen in der deutschen Automobilindustrie ab.

Zusammenfassung Die Umsetzung einer Pflegebürgerversicherung ist eine Option, um insbesondere die Einnahmenseite der Pflegeversicherung zu stabilisieren. Der Beitrag untersucht, welche Hürden existieren und inwieweit deren Ursachen in den fehlenden Methoden bzw. Daten oder aber in der politischen Umsetzung oder juristischen Aufarbeitung liegen. Festgehalten werden kann, dass die Ausgestaltung eines Risikoausgleichs zwischen Sozialer und Privater Pflegeversicherung die komplexeste methodische Herausforderung darstellen dürfte. Andere Bereiche, wie die Verbeitragung aller Einkommensarten, die Einbeziehung der Kapitalansparungen und die Festlegung der Beitragsbemessungsgrenze, scheinen eher politische und/oder rechtliche Herausforderungen darzustellen. Die vorliegenden quantitativen Studien kommen zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Ausweitung des Versichertenkreises in einer Pflegebürgerversicherung bewirken würde, dass sich der Beitragssatz um rund 0,3–0,4 Prozentpunkten reduzieren ließe.

Zusammenfassung Heutige Methoden der Programmierung von Produktionsmaschinen erfordern großen manuellen Aufwand. Dies hat zur Konsequenz, dass der Einsatz heutiger Automatisierungslösungen nur bei großen Stückzahlen wirtschaftlich ist. Im Zuge der Massenpersonalisierung kommt es gleichzeitig zu immer höheren Anforderungen an die Flexibilität der Produktion. Damit kann der Produktionsstandort Deutschland nur mittels einer gesteigerten digitalen Souveränität über die eigenen Produktionsmaschinen durch eine aufwandsreduzierte, flexible Programmiermöglichkeit von Produktionsmaschinen gehalten werden. Zur Reduzierung des Programmieraufwands sind Methoden des Maschinellen Lernens geeignet, insbesondere das Teilgebiet des Reinforcement Learning (RL). Beides verspricht eine deutlich gesteigerte Produktivität. Im Folgenden werden die Möglichkeiten und die Hindernisse auf dem Weg zur RL-gestützten, flexiblen, autonom handelnden Produktionsmaschine analysiert. Besonders im Fokus stehen dabei Aspekte der Zuverlässigkeit von Systemen aus dem Feld der Künstlichen Intelligenz (KI). Ein zentraler Aspekt der Zuverlässigkeit ist die Erklärbarkeit der KI-Systeme. Diese Erklärbarkeit ist wiederum eine tragende Säule der digitalen Souveränität auf der Ebene der das System nutzenden Menschen.
