Dental Age Assessment (DAA) is used to estimate age when date of birth is uncertain. This thesis utilised radiographs archived at the Eastman Dental Hospital and King‟s College Dental Hospital. All teeth developing on the left side were assessed using an eight stage system (Demirjian 1973) and a twelve stage system (Haavikko 1970). An analysis of dental pathology frequencies were conducted using recently excavated remains from the Iron Age site of Promtin Tai in Thailand. Carious lesions, advanced attrition, antemortem tooth loss, and abscessing were scored and the frequencies were then compared to other sites within Thailand. Preliminary work suggests that the overall pathology rate at the Promtin Tai site is lower than other known sites within Thailand. Materiales y métodos: El diseño del estudio es de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal. Se seleccionaron 193 radiografías panorámicas aleatoriamente de niños de 6 a 14 años de edad. Se compararon la edad cronológica (EC) y la edad dental (ED) según los métodos de Nolla, Demirjian y Cameriere, utilizando las Pruebas de Rangos de Wilcoxon y Kruskall Wallis. Resultados: La media de la EC fue de 8.77±2.34 y 8.90±2.04 años para el género femenino

This study investigated biological population affinities amongst Eastern Mediterranean Chalcolithic and Bronze Age human skeletal samples. Seven hundred and eighty-six human remains from eight different sites in Cyprus, Greece and Syria were studied.
