Five chemicals indigenous to the dental office environment that may cause toxic effects are formaldehyde, phenol, acrylic, mercury, and nitrous oxide. These chemicals create abnormal stress on physiological and psychological systems of the body resulting in symptomatology and pathology when the body defenses can no longer maintain homeostasis by adaptation. Objective: The goal of this study was to assess the efficacy of hydrogen peroxide cleaner disinfectant wipes in reducing the presence of bacteria, specifically Escherichia coli and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), opportunistic pathogens, on surfaces in dental offices. Objective: To identify the significant predictors associated with Army Dental Corps Junior Officers' intent to leave the military. Methods: A secondary data analysis was conducted utilizing the responses from the 2009 Army Dental Officer Retention Survey. The 92 item questionnaire consisted of questions addressing retention issues. Although the survey was distributed to all Army dental officers, only results from junior officers were considered for this study.
