The article examines rock paintings in a cave in Cerro Aci, a sacred place of indigenous peoples living in the Cananari river basin, a left tributary of the Apaporis (Colombia, Vaupes department). The polyphonic arrangement of church chants was a key issue for the composers of the New School in Russian sacred music, as well as for the music criticism of the early 20th century. Authors of previous periods did not always manage to preserve ancient sources and express the specificity of chant structures in polyphony. This thesis examines, via a feminist theoretical framework, the systems in existence that permit the ongoing exploitation of the environment; and the appropriateness of ceramics as a medium to reinvigorate dormant insights. Abstract:
This paper will look for evidence of continuity and change in the periphery and centre of the Byzantine Empire in the late Palaeologan period looking at examples of sacred art from before and after the Latin occupation of Constantinople (1204-1261), I shall attempt to identify examples of continuity which served to reestablish Orthodoxy and note changes in composition, style and symbolism which have come to be seen by some as a Palaeologan Renaissance. My contention is that the visual culture thrived even when the polity and economy of empire were compromised.

The exhibit unites a number of artistic expressions of the Guaraní Indians of Paraguay, from the colonial period to the present. Include 65 pieces including statuary, both sacred and secular, photographs, videos, and contemporary art. All of the art works allow for a better understanding of the Guaraní culture that transmits knowledge fundamentally through an oral tradition, but has also come to assimilate a number of influences, modifying them to their own needs.
