Abstract:
AbstractThis paper focuses on the ever-growing popularity of scenes depicting and referring to hashish and marijuana use in Egyptian cinema. It argues that a shift in attitude and in the overall depiction of these substances has emerged in more recent films, those produced in the 1990s and after. It suggests that whereas in older cinema these substances were always associated with social and political ills, almost all negative connotations and associations have disappeared in favor of an acceptable and playful depiction. One Piece comics are about the world of pirates, and are the best-selling comics in history. Like most comics, One Piece comics consist of protagonist and antagonist. The depiction of One Piece comics is the same as the usual depiction of Japanese comics, namely using Mango style with narrative content and the use of black and white. Depictions of moments, image details and character expressions become important in black and white comics to bring the narrative to life. For character portrayals, comics look for alternatives to emphasize expression in their comic images. This research focuses on

This article seeks to clarify the role of the image in video game representation. I argue that virtuality is incompatible with depictive representation and that the distinction between virtual environments and interactive depiction is important in game theory and analysis. In the first part, I combine a critical modification of Kendall Walton’s concept of reflexive representation with Edmund Husserl’s concept of image consciousness, in order to clarify the ontological difference between physical models and depictive images. In the second part, I discuss the relationship between physical models

OBJECTIVEThe depiction of cranial nerves (CNs) using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is of great interest in skull base tumor surgery and DTI used with deterministic tracking methods has been reported previously. However, there are still no good methods usable for the elimination of noise from the resulting depictions. The authors have hypothesized that probabilistic tracking could lead to more accurate results, because it more efficiently extracts information from the underlying data. Moreover, the authors have adapted a previously described technique for noise elimination using gradual thresh

The human face is a popular motif in art and depictions of faces can be found throughout history in nearly every culture. Artists have mastered the depiction of faces after employing careful experimentation using the relatively limited means of paints and oils. Many of the results of these experimentations are now available to the scientific domain due to the digitization of large art collections. In this paper we study the depiction of the face throughout history. We used an automated facial detection network to detect a set of 11,659 faces in 15,534 predominately western artworks, from 6 int
