Abstract:

The implementation of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (National Governors Association Center for Best Practices & Council of Chief State School Officers, 2010) has the potential to move forward key features of standards-based reforms in mathematics that have been promoted in the United States for more than 2 decades (e.g., National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, 1989, 2000; National Science Foundation, 1996). We believe that this is an especially opportune time to purposely focus on improving the mathematics education of students who have historically been denied access to a high-quality and rigorous mathematics education in the United States, specifically low-income students and students of color (e.g., Kitchen, DePree, Celedón-Pattichis, & Brinkerhoff, 2007; Leonard & Martin, 2013). We discuss a challenge to realizing standards-based reforms in mathematics in the United States: computer-based interventions in mathematics classrooms.

Sismik enerjinin mesafeye g&ouml;re azalımını ifade eden bu parametre, deprem enerjisi azalım bağıntıları yardımıyla hesaplanmaktadır. Deprem enerjisi azalımı konusundaki ampirik bağıntılar t&uuml;retilirken ivme kayıtlarındaki zemin etkisinin giderilmesi gerekir.&nbsp; T&uuml;rkiye'de &ouml;l&ccedil;&uuml;lm&uuml;ş kuvvetli yer hareketi kayıtları, kuyu i&ccedil;i sismik deneyi ve ProShake bilgisayar programı kullanılarak ger&ccedil;ekleştirilen ters evrişim işlemi &ccedil;alışmada kullanılan başlıca materyal ve y&ouml;ntemlerdir. T&uuml;rkiye'de meydana gelen deprem kayıtlarının zemin etkisinden arındırılabilmesi i&ccedil;in:&nbsp; ivme&ouml;l&ccedil;er istasyonlarında sondaj kuyusu a&ccedil;ılmıştır. Deprem, yıkıcı &ouml;zelliği en fazla olan doğal afetlerin başında gelmektedir. Bu nedenle depremde oluşacak can ve mal kayıplarını en aza indirmek amacıyla inşaat m&uuml;hendisliğinde depreme dayanıklı yapı tasarımı kavramı ortaya &ccedil;ıkmıştır ve yapıların deprem performansları analizi &ouml;nem kazanmıştır. &Ouml;zellikle d&uuml;zensiz geometriye sahip ve/veya &ccedil;ok katlı yapılar i&ccedil;in dinamik analiz yapılması gereklidir. Bu &ccedil;alışmada d&uuml;zensiz geometriye sahip bir y&uuml;ksek katlı yapının n&uuml;merik olarak zaman tanım alanında deprem analizi ger&ccedil;ekleştirilmiş ve balsa &ccedil;ıtalarından yapılmış yapı modeline deneysel olarak sarsma masası testi uygulanmıştır. Balsa malzemesi hafif olmasının yanı sıra uygun dayanım ve enerji s&ouml;n&uuml;mleme &ouml;zelliğine sahiptir. Bu &ouml;zellikler ise malzemenin mikro yapısında bulunan trakeler ve bu trakeleri eşit aralıklarla kesen doğrusal olarak sıralanmış parankimalardan t&uuml;remektedir. Ayrıca yapı modelinde &ccedil;ok katlı yapılar i&ccedil;in hem estetik hem de str&uuml;kt&uuml;rel yeterliliği sağlayan diagrid sistem tercih edilmiştir. &Ccedil;alışmada deneysel ve n&uuml;merik analiz sonu&ccedil;ları ivme ve &ccedil;atı deplasman parametreleriyle kıyaslanmıştır. Birinci deprem kaydı kullanıldığında deneysel sonu&ccedil;lar n&uuml;merik sonu&ccedil;lardan daha y&uuml;ksek bulunmuştur; ancak, karakteristik &ouml;zeliği birinci depremden farklı olan ikinci deprem kaydı deneysel modele uygulandığında elde edilen ivme değerinin n&uuml;merik modelden daha az olduğu g&ouml;r&uuml;lm&uuml;şt&uuml;r. Diğer taraftan, ikinci deprem kaydı kullanıldığında elde edilen &ccedil;atı deplasmanının deneysel ve n&uuml;merik sonu&ccedil;ları ise b&uuml;y&uuml;k bir uyum i&ccedil;indedir.

Abstract:

Earthquakes, which disturb the routine of life, influence psychology of adults and children negatively as the other disasters. In addition to that earthquakes can cause the psychological distress in children such as cognitive, emotional and behavioral problems as well as lack of confidence and despair against future. In order to scope of interventions after earthquake, it can be significant to reveal how the elementary school students experienced and perceived the earthquake after that disaster. For this purpose, the students’ perceptions of the earthquake and psycho-social impacts of that among students have been studied according to the opinions of those. The research is done based on descriptive survey model within the qualitative research model including semi-structured interview method. The subject group of the research is 23 volunteers consisting of 12 girls and 11 boys all of whom experienced the Van earthquake attending secondary school at Van city center. Moving onto the results, students stated that they were outside; they were running their homes to find out the status of their families during the earthquake and just after that. ÖzetYaşamın doğal akışını bozan diğer afetler gibi depremler de, hem yetişkinlerin ve hem de çocukların psikolojisi üzerinde birçok olumuz etkiler bırakır. Depremler, çocuklarda birçok bilişsel, duyuşsal ve davranışsal problemin yanı sıra, güven duygusunun yitimi ve geleceğe karşı umutsuzluk gibi psikolojik sorunlara neden olabilir. Deprem yaşayan ilköğretim öğrencilerinin depremi nasıl deneyimlediklerinin ve anlamlandırdıklarının bilinmesi deprem sonrası uygulanabilecek müdahaleler kapsamında önemlidir. Bu amaçla bu araştırmada öğrencilerin depreme ilişkin algıları ve depremin öğrenciler üzerindeki psiko-sosyal etkileri, Van depremini yaşayan ilköğretim öğrencilerinin görüşlerine dayalı olarak belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma kapsamında tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiş olup yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Van İl Merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarının ikinci kademesinde okuyan, Van Depremi’ni yaşayan ve araştırmaya gönüllü katılan 12 kadın; 11 erkek olmak üzere toplam 23 öğrenciden ibarettir. Araştırmada öğrenciler, deprem olduğu sırada ve sonrasında dışarıda olduklarını, kaçtıklarını, eve ailelerinin durumunu öğrenmek için hemen eve geldiklerini belirtmişlerdir.

Abstract:

Deprea (Solanaceae) is a small South American genus of 10 species occurring in Andean areas from Venezuela to Bolivia. The circumscription of Deprea has been repeatedly modified in recent years, with new species being described and others transferred into or out of the genus. The relationships of Deprea to other genera of Solanaceae are still poorly understood, although it seems to be closely related to Larnax. A phylogenetic analysis was performed to test the monophyly of Deprea. Sequences from three molecular markers (nuclear ITS and waxy and chloroplast psbA-trnH) were analyzed by parsimony and Bayesian methods. All the species of Deprea and Larnax sampled were intermixed in a strongly supported clade in the consensus trees, and therefore the currently recognized Deprea species do not form a monophyletic group. At least four strongly supported clades could be recovered within the Deprea + Larnax assemblage, but the affinities of several species of both genera remained unresolved. Additional sampling including the majority of the Deprea + Larnax species and more representatives of genera in the Physalideae should be done to clarify relationships within the clade and to pinpoint the closest relatives of Deprea + Larnax.

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, betonarme yapılarda, taşıyıcı sistem değişikliklerinin deprem etkisi altında, plastik mafsal teorisine göre yük arttırımı yöntemiyle itme (pushover) analizleri yapılarak söz konusu yapıların davranışları incelenmiştir. Deprem aktivitesi yüksek olan bölgelerdeki betonarme yapıların itme (pushover) analizleri yapılarak yük-deplasman eğrileri elde edilmiş, deprem etkisi altındaki süneklik, rijitlik katsayıları ile yapıların davranışları hakkında belirli saptamalar yapılmıştır. Taşıyıcı sistemdeki kolon ve kirişlerin yanında perdelerin de kullanılmasıyla oluşan yapı titreşim periyotları ve yapı davranışları araştırılmış, yatay yüklerin artışı altında yatay deplasmanların değişimleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeler ile betonarme yapılar tasarlanırken dikkat edilmesi gereken parametrelerle ilgili tavsiyeler verilmiştir. İncelenen model yapıların her biri için itme analizleri ayrı ayrı yapılmış, hesap adımları belirlenmiştir. Sonrasında çıkan sonuçlara göre deprem etkileri altında söz konusu modellerin süneklikleri, rijitlikleri, deprem davranışları, taban kesme kuvvetleri gibi değerleri ele alınmış ve tartışılmıştır. Sonuç kısmında ise, betonarme yapıların taşıyıcı sistemlerinde perdelerin bulunmasının yapıların deprem davranışlarına etkileri ortaya konarak, yapıların süneklik katsayıları ve deprem yükü azaltma katsayıları gibi parametreler saptanmış ve bunlar tartışılarak sistemlerin dezavantajlı ve avantajlı yanları ortaya konmuştur.

Kamu binalarının &ouml;ncelikli olarak ele alınması deprem esnasındaki can ve mal kayıplarının en aza indirilmesi a&ccedil;ısından &ouml;nem arz etmektedir. Bu &ccedil;alışmada, at&ouml;lye binalarının deprem g&uuml;venliği &uuml;zerinde beton dayanımı, donatı dayanımı, sargılama durumu gibi parametrelerin etkinliği incelenmiştir. Isparta ilinde bulunan 17 adet betonarme at&ouml;lye binasının performansı, &ldquo;Artımsal Eşdeğer Deprem Y&uuml;k&uuml; Y&ouml;ntemi&rdquo; kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. &Ccedil;&ouml;z&uuml;mlemeler, mevcut at&ouml;lye binalarının her iki deprem doğrultusu (x ve y), d&ouml;rt farklı malzeme sınıfı ve 50 yılda aşılma olasılığı %2 ve %10 olan depremler i&ccedil;in yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonu&ccedil;lardan, deprem g&uuml;venliğini etkileyen en &ouml;nemli parametrenin donatı dayanımı olduğu g&ouml;r&uuml;lm&uuml;şt&uuml;r.

Abstract:

Deprem etkisi altında yapı davranışı g&uuml;n&uuml;m&uuml;zde geliştirilen bilgisayar yazılımları ile modellenebilmekte; yapı-temel-zemin davranışı doğru bir şekilde analiz edilebilmektedir. Deprem sırasında yapıya etkiyen deprem dalgasının dalga &ouml;zellikleri, depremin odak derinliği, b&ouml;lgenin yerel zemin koşullarına (jeolojik ve jeofiziksel) bağlı değişiklik g&ouml;sterir. Bu anlamda deprem kaynağının yapıya olan mesafesi yapının deprem davranışında &ouml;nemli bir rol oynar. &Uuml;lkemizde i&ccedil;in mevcut deprem y&ouml;netmeliği (TDY2007) dinamik analizlerde kullanılmak &uuml;zere se&ccedil;ilen deprem kaydında, depremin merkez &uuml;ss&uuml;n&uuml;n kaydın alındığı noktaya uzaklığını dikkate almamaktadır. Bu &ccedil;alışmada deprem etkisi altında bir yapının depremin merkez &uuml;ss&uuml;ne olan mesafesinin davranışa etkisi incelenmektedir. Bu ama&ccedil;la sonlu eleman modeli oluşturulan yumuşak zemin ortamındaki 17 m genişliğinde ve 19 m boyundaki yayılı temel, &uuml;st yapıdan yayılı temele aktarılan 100 kPa ile d&uuml;zlemsel şekil değiştirme esası ile 15 d&uuml;ğ&uuml;m noktalı elemanlarla modellenmiştir. Modele iki farklı zemin iyileştirme y&ouml;ntemi (darbeli kırmataş kolon (DKK) ve Jet Grout kolonu) uygulanarak d&uuml;şey yer değiştirmeleri (oturmaları), derin temel uygulaması (delme kazık) ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan model analiz sonu&ccedil;larına g&ouml;re; statik durumda d&uuml;şey yer değiştirme değerlendirildiğinde, en iyi performans derin temel olan delme kazık uygulamasında elde edilmiştir. Analizler dinamik durumda tekrarlandığında; depremin ger&ccedil;ekleştiği b&ouml;lgede Jet Grout, DKK ve Delme kazık uygulamasında; yayılı temel altında d&uuml;şey yer değiştirme değeri deprem merkez &uuml;ss&uuml;nden uzaklaştık&ccedil;a daha y&uuml;ksek elde edilmektedir. Aynı zamanda delme kazık uygulanmış modelin dinamik durum performansının DKK ve Jet Grout kolonuna g&ouml;re daha iyi olduğu modelde g&ouml;zlenmiştir.
