Abstract:

The thesis is about the use of Matlab Simulink software for subject Flight Mechanics II. User interface, which allow computing of aerodynamic derivations and state space matrices, was created. It also provides system for launching simulations of longitudinal aircraft movement in Simulink environment and results visualization. In the last part were suggested examples for practice lessons of the aforementioned subject. These lessons focus on mastering basic block programming and to understand concept of aircraft dynamics and controlling aircraft movement.

Abstract:

This paper concentrates on the description of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. There are properties of generalized Laguerre functions described in the paper, and an orthogonal base of these functions is shown. Next the concept of fractional derivatives is explained. The last part of this paper deals with the representation of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. Several examples were solved to demonstrate the benefits of using these functions for the representation of LTI SISO systems.

Abstract:

This thesis studies grammar systems whose components use sequences of productions whose left-hand sides are formed by nonterminal strings, not just single nonterminals. It introduces three restrictions on the derivations in these grammar systems. The first restriction requires that all rewritten symbols occur within the first l symbols of the first continuous block of nonterminals in the sentential form during every derivation step. The second restriction defines derivations over sentential forms containing no more than m continuous blocks of nonterminals. The third restriction extends the second in the way that each sequence of nonterminals must be of length h or less. As its main result, the thesis demonstrates that two of these restrictions decrease the generative power of grammar systems.

Abstract:

Integrace a derivace jsou obvykle známy pro celočíselný řád (tj. první, druhý, atd.). Existuje ale zobecnění pro zlomkové (neceločíselné) řády, které lze implementovat pomocí elektronických obvodů zlomkového řádu (případně provést jejich aproximaci) a které poskytuje nový stupeň volnosti pro návrh elektronických obvodů. Obvody zlomkového řádu jsou obvykle aproximovány diskrétními součástkami pomocí RC struktur s velkými rozsahy odporů a kapacit, a tím se jeví nepraktické pro použití v integrovaných obvodech. Tato práce prezentuje implementaci obvodů zlomkového řádu v integerovaných obvodech a jejich praktické využití v této oblasti. Jsou použity prvky se soustředěnými parametry (např. RC žebřík) i prvky s rozprostřenými parametery (např. R-PMOScap, skládající se z nesalicidovaného proužku polykrystalického křemíku nad hradlovým oxidem); je použita pouze technologie typu analogvý CMOS bez dodatečných procesních kroků. Užití obvodů zlomkového řádu bylo demonstrováno realizací několika integrovaných napěťových regulátorů, v nichž obvody zlomkového řádu realizují řízení zlomkového řádu za účelem dosažení silné stejnosměrné regulace a dobré stability regulační smyčky - i bez použití kompenzační nuly nebo příliš vysoké externí kapacity (některé napěťové regulátory dovolují i zatěžovací kapacitou v rozsahu nula až nekonečno).

Abstract:

Grafomotorické obtíže (GD) výrazně ovlivňují kvalitu života školním věkem počínajíc, kde se vyvíjejí grafomotorické schopnosti, až do důchodového věku. Včasná diagnóza těchto obtíží a terapeutický zásah mají velký význam k jejich zlepšení. Vzhledem k tomu, že GD souvisí z vícerými symptomy v oblasti kinematiky, základní kinematické parametry jako rychlost, zrychlení a švih prokázaly efektivní kvantizaci těchto symptomů. Objektivní výpočetní systém podpory rozhodování pro identifikaci a vyšetření GD však není dostupný. A proto je hlavním cílem mé disertační práce výzkum pokročilé metody parametrizace online písma pro analýzu GD se speciálním zaměřením na využití metod zlomkového kalkulu. Tato práce je první, která experimentuje s využitím derivací neceločíselného řádu (FD) pro analýzu GD pomocí online písma získaného od pacientů s Parkinsonovou nemocí a u dětí školního věku. Byla navržena a evaluována nová metoda parametrizace online písma založena na FD využitím Grünwald-Letnikova přístupu. Bylo dokázáno, že navržená metoda významně zlepšuje diskriminační sílu a deskriptivní schopnosti v oblasti Parkinsonické dysgrafie. Stejně tak metoda pozitivně ovlivnila i nejmodernější techniky v oblasti analýzy GD u dětí školního věku. Vyvinutá parametrizace byla optimalizována s ohledem na výpočetní náročnost (až o 80 %) a také na vyladění řádu FD. Ke konci práce byly porovnány víceré přístupy výpočtu FD, jmenovitě Riemann-Liouvillův, Caputův společně z Grünwald-Letnikovým přístupem za účelem identifikace těch nejvhodnějších pro jednotlivé oblasti analýzy GD.

Abstract:

The aim of diploma thesis named “QRS detection using wavelet transform” is to simplify and accelerate the work of doctors. This can be achieved by using application for QRS detection, which can use one of four proposed algorithms. Application shows basic informations about inserted electrocardiogram. Part of this program is a graphical window with displayed record and with coloured marks on detected QRS complexes. By another algorythm are marks color-coded due to accurancy percentil of every detected complex. This program is designed for a several hours record from Holter ECG monitoring.

Die Immobilisierung von Oligo(ethylenglykol)-derivaten an Oberflächen von Metallen ist ein viel versprechender Ansatz, um unspezifische Adsorptionen von Proteinen, Bakterien und Zellen zu minimieren bzw. zu verhindern. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit stand die Entwicklung, Darstellung, Charakterisierung sowie Applikation maßgeschneiderter, self-assembly-fähiger Moleküle, die gezielt auf TiO2- und nicht auf SiO2-Oberflächen anbinden. Die resultierenden Monoschichten (SAMs) wiesen eine Biokompatibilität sowie Biofunktionalität auf. Dazu wurden neue bisher noch nicht beschriebene Moleküle entwickelt, die auf einer Kombination von funktionalisierten Oligo(ethylenglykol)-Einheiten mit Monoalkylphosphorsäure- und Alkylphosphonsäurederivaten basieren. Diese Verbindungen konnten durch die Anwendung der Self-Assembly-Technik erfolgreich aus wässriger Lösung auf TiO2-Substrate adsorbiert werden. Die hergestellten, ultradünnen monomolekularen Schichten wurden mit verschiedenen analytischen Methoden, wie Spektroskopische Ellipsometrie, winkelabhängiger XPS und SPR-Spektroskopie charakterisiert. Durch eine gezielte Anbindung an TiO2-Oberflächen und einer stabilen Ausbildung von SAMs konnten sowohl die unspezifische Proteinadsorption zurückgedrängt bzw. verhindert, als auch eine spezifische Anbindung von ausgewählten Proteinen realisiert werden

The aim of this work was the design, preparation, characterization and application of tailor-made, self-assembly molecules, which are able to adsorbed selectively on TiO2 surfaces but not on SiO2. The resulting self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) had a biocompatibility and bio functionality. For this purpose new molecules have been developed, which are not described in the literature. These compounds are derivatives of monoalkyl phosphoric acids or alkyl phosphonic acids and contain a terminal functional oligo (ethylene glycol) unit. The compounds were assembled on the TiO2-surface by self-assembly technique from aqueous solution. The adsorbed layers were characterized by different analytical tools, like angle resolved XPS, spectroscopic ellipsometry and SPR-spectroscopy. The selective adsorption of SAMs on TiO2-surfaces and the formation of stable SAMs make it possible to prevent or minimize non specific protein adsorption and also to bind selected proteins via specific surface reactions

Abstract:

Målet med föreliggande arbete var att undersöka följande två frågor:

1. Vilka svårigheter har elever ofta med derivata?

2. Vilka teorier är centrala för den matematikdidaktiska forskningen om dessa svårigheter?

Metoden som använts kallas "meta-syntes" och är en typ av forskningsöversikt som förutom att sammanställa resultat även transformerar, analyserar och renodlar dem. För att svara på den första forskningsfrågan gjordes ett stort urval av artiklar. Dessa gicks igenom, varefter sex av dem utvaldes att representera de svårigheter vi ansåg vara de vanligaste på grundval av det ursprungliga urvalet. Valet av teorier som skulle utgöra svaret på vår andra fråga baserades på såväl kvalitativa som kvantitativa kriterier. Det kvalitativa kriteriet bestod i att teorierna skulle utgöra centrala beståndsdelar i renonerandet kring de svårigheter som fråga ett gällde. För det kvantitativa kriteriet låg antal referenser till grund. Om en artikel med en speciell teori som huvudtema refererades till oftare än en annan med en annan teori som huvudsakligt tema, så ansågs den förra som mer central.

Resultatet vad gäller vanliga svårigheter med derivata sammanfattades i fyra kategorier: förkunskaper, språk, tolkning av grafer och representationspreferens. Vårt svar på fråga två utgörs av två teorier: Tall & Vinners teori om begreppsbilder och begreppsdefinitioner och Sfards teori om operationell och strukturell förståelse. Teorierna förklaras och exempel ges på hur dessa teorier kan användas för att resonera kring elevers svårigheter med derivata.

Abstract:

Esta tese tem como objetivo delimitar e analisar uma estratégia artística recorrente a partir do final da década de 1960, que consiste exclusivamente, ou incorpora como seu elemento fundamental, o ato de andar, na maioria dos casos por parte dos próprios artistas. Para definir essa prática, utiliza-se aqui o termo deriva, cuja matriz situacionista introduz o olhar social e politicamente engajado a partir do qual a maioria das obras analisadas foram criadas, e com base no qual elas são lidas neste contexto. Na primeira parte da tese, são desenvolvidas algumas considerações teóricas, com o fim de evidenciar algumas características recorrentes na produção das derivas, ao passo que elas são contextualizadas em preocupações e tendências mais gerais, como a que visa a desmaterialização da arte, ou a chamada estética relacional, entre outras. Na segunda parte, apresenta-se um compêndio bastante amplo, e apesar disso ainda longe de poder ser considerado completo, de obras pertinentes nesta discussão, produzidas ao longo das últimas quatro décadas.
This thesis seeks to delimitate and analyze an artistic strategy that can be considered recurrent since the end of the 1960s, and which consists basically, or at least includes as its core element, the act of walking, mostly undertaken by the artist him/herself. In order to define this practice, the word employed is the Situationist term \"deriva\" (drift), which situates the reader in the socially and politically engaged context in which most of the works here analyzed were created, and based upon which they are therefore read. In the first part of the thesis, a series of theoretical considerations is made, aiming at identifying a few recurrent characteristics of the \"drifts\", while at the same time placing them in the context of more general trends and concerns, as the so-called Demateriali- zation of art, or Relational Aesthetics, among others. The second part consists basically of a large, although certainly not complete, summary of works that are relevant for this research, produced during the last five decades.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the construction of a system for automatic classification of~unknown words based on derivation bonds. For this purpose, the system was designed to~extract derivative links based on electronic dictionaries and to create word-forming models from them. Based on this knowledge, it is then possible to incorporate unclassified words into existing nests formed from the obtained bonds, and their models, or create new ones. The reader will be gradually acquainted with the reasons that lead to the continuous transformation or expansion of the lexicon, the ways in which the words in~the~Czech language are derived and how to obtain information about the changes caused by this derivation process. This system builds on and extends the research of the branch of morphology in~the~project of a morphological analyzer of the Research Group of Knowledge Technologies, working at the Faculty of Information Technology of the Brno University of~Technology.

Abstract:

Estudamos indução da atividade de MMP pelo peptídeo da laminina a1 AG73 em linhagem celular (CAC2) de carcinoma adenóide cístico. CAC2 cultivadas em laminina-111 com AG73 geraram espaços pseudocísticos. Inibidor de MMP diminuiu tais espaços, sugerindo ação de MMPs. CAC2 crescidas sobre AG73 mostraram aumento dose-dependente de MMP9. RNAi para MMP9 diminuiu remodelação em cultura 3D. Buscamos receptores de AG73 ligados à atividade de MMP9. CAC2 crescidas sobre AG73 exibiram colocalização de sindecan-1 e integrina b1. RNAi para sindecan-1 ou para integrina b1 geraram, isolados, redução na adesão a AG73 e nas atividades de remodelação e de protease. Duplo RNAi estudou a cooperação entre os receptores e promoveu diminuição na adesão a AG73 e na atividade de MMP. Distinção de receptores foi feita por cromatografia de afinidade e espectrometria de massa, através de colunas de afinidade com AG73 acoplado, que resultou em possíveis receptores, como integrinas b1 e aV. Sugerimos que AG73 regula adesão e secreção de MMP em células CAC2 através de sindecan-1 e integrina b1.
We studied induction of MMP activity by b1-laminin peptide AG73 in adenoid cystic carcinoma cell line (CAC2). Cells grown inside AG73-enriched laminin-111 exhibited pseudocystics spaces. MMP inhibitor decreased those spaces, suggesting MMPs action. Cells grown on AG73 showed a dose-dependent increase of MMP9 secretion. MMP9 siRNAi decreased remodeling in 3D culture. We searched for AG73 receptors regulating MMP9 activity. CAC2 grown on AG73 exhibited colocalization of syndecan-1 and b1 integrin. Syndecan-1 siRNA or siRNA b1 integrin showed reduction in adhesion to AG73 and in remodeling and protease activities. Double-knockdown explored syndecan-1 and 1 integrin cooperation and showed decrease in adhesion to AG73 and in MMP activity. Receptors characterization was made by affinity chromatography followed by mass spectrometry through AG73-affinity columns and showed putative receptors, like b1 and aV integrins. We suggest that AG73 peptide regulates adhesion and MMP secretion in CAC2 cells through syndecan-1 and b1 integrin.

O conceito de derivada é um dos tópicos mais aliciantes entre aqueles que são leccionados em Matemática A do 11º ano. Como tal, esta investigação debruçou-se nesta temática, através da experiência de docentes com largos anos de tempo de serviço. Foram feitas entrevistas a um grupo de professores que depois de analisadas, serviram para tentar identificar o tipo de abordagem que esses mesmos professores adoptam ao leccionar este conceito (e os outros conceitos no geral) e também foram base para a construção de uma unidade de ensino, de três a quatro aulas, onde se tenta encontrar uma forma atractiva e o mais interactiva possível de se leccionar este conceito.
The concept of derivative is one of the most attractive among those taught in the subject of Mathematics during the 11th grade. This way, this research focused on this theme, through the experience of teaches with a large number of years of service. Interviews were made to a group of teachers that, after being analysed, were useful in trying to identify the type of approach adopted by those teachers when lecturing this concept (and other concepts in general) and were also the basis for the construction of a teaching unit, encompassing three to four classes, where the purpose is to find an attractive and as interactive as possible to lecture this concept.

Limite [1931], filme escrito e dirigido por Mário Peixoto, é impossível de ser lido. A impossibilidade é, em parte, dada pelo próprio autor, que tornou o filme - e parte de sua obra - um todo esboço. Essa tese bosqueja três derivas sobre Limite. A estrutura é montada em cima do artigo de Eisenstein/Peixoto, Um Filme da América do Sul, tracejando a impossível leitura a partir da leitura fictícia. Na primeira deriva, historicidades concernentes ao fazer do filme e o seu redor. De Limite como projeto anacrônico do cinema inventado por Epstein e anulado por Rancière. A seguda deriva busca em Limite a "idéia de um filme soberano", a partir de Lyotard, atravessado ainda pela tragédia em suspensão epsteineana . E, por fim, o interregno da própria imagem de Limite, desenhada, em seus planos, sobre as marcas da imagem-tempo deleuzeana.

Carcinona epidermóide é um prevalente tumor de cabeça e pescoço relacionado a altas taxas de mortalidade. Neste trabalho, verificamos se AG73 (RKRLQVQLSIRT, cadeia a1), peptídeo derivado da laminina-111, regula migração, invasão e secreção de protease em células de carcinoma epidermóide oral (OSCC). Cadeia a1 da laminina e MMP9 estão expressas neste tumor in vivo e in vitro. AG73 induziu aumento da taxa migratória de células OSCC em ensaios de ferida e migração, e também estimulou invasão em ensaio em câmaras bipartites com Matrigel. Células OSCC crescidas sobre AG73 exibiram aumento dose-dependente de MMP9, detectado por zimografia. Buscamos receptores de AG73 que regulariam atividade nesta linhagem. Células OSCC crescidas sobre AG73 exibiram colocalização de sindecana-1 e integrina b1, e silenciamento desses receptores com RNA de interferência promoveu diminuição de migração e invasão dependente de AG73 nestas células. Esses resultados sugerem que sindecana-1 e integrina b1, ativados por AG73, podem regular migração, invasão e secreção de MMPs em células OSCC.
Oral squamous cell carcinoma is a prevalent head and neck tumor, related to high mortality rates. Here we studied the role played by AG73 (RKRLQVQLSIRT, a1 chain) on migration, invasion and protease secretion of a cell line (OSCC) from human oral squamous cell carcinoma. Laminin a1 chain and MMP9 are expressed in oral squamous cell carcinoma cells in vivo and in vitro. AG73 increased migratory activity of OSCC cells, as shown by monolayer wound assays and migration assays. This peptide also stimulated cell invasion in chemotaxis chambers coated with Matrigel. OSCC cells cultured on AG73 showed a dose-dependent increase of MMP9 secretion, detected by zymography. We searched for AG73 receptors regulating activities in this cell line. OSCC cells grown on AG73 exhibited colocalization of syndecan-1 and b1 integrin, and siRNA knockdown of these receptors decreased AG73-dependent migration and invasion of OSCC cells. Our results suggest that syndecan-1 and b1 integrin signaling downstream of AG73 regulate migration, invasion and MMP secretion by OSCC cells

Este trabalho tem a preocupação de demonstrar como, histórica e geograficamente, a formação socioespacial da Região Cacaueira, no Sul da Bahia, se processa de forma derivada, exatamente do uso corporativo e seletivo do território brasileiro. Discutimos a crise da produção de cacau, mais especificamente o caráter multidimensional das transformações ocorridas na região, decorrentes do processo de globalização. A partir desta análise, mostramos que o movimento de reestruturação produtiva no lugar se vincula ao desenvolvimento do modo capitalista de produção, o qual cria e recria mecanismos ideológicos de crenças na modernização que, afinal, garantem a sua própria reprodução.
This paper aims to demonstrate how the socio-spatial formation of the Cocoa Region in the South of Bahia State is historically and geographically derivate from the corporative and selective use of the Brazilian territory. We discuss the crisis in cocoa production, more specifically the multidimensional aspect f the transformations occurred in the region due to the globalization process. Based on this analysis we demonstrate that the productive restructuration in the place is linked to the development of the capitalist way of production which creates and recreates ideological mechanisms of beliefs in the modernization that, eventually, guarantee its own reproduction.

The application of the finite integral of multiple variable functions is penetrating into more and more industries and science disciplines. The demands placed on solutions to these problems (such as high accuracy or high speed) are often quite contradictory. Therefore, it is not always possible to apply analytical approaches to these problems; numerical methods provide a suitable alternative. However, the ever-growing complexity of these problems places too high a demand on many of these numerical methods, and so neither of these methods are useful for solving such problems. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a new numerical method that provides highly accurate and very fast computation of finite integrals of multiple variable functions. This new method combines pre-existing approaches in the field of numerical mathematics.
